經文: 創世紀 18:32 亞伯拉罕說：求主不要動怒，我再說這一次，假若在那裡見有十個呢？他說：為這十個的緣故，我也不毀滅那城。耶和華與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。
默想: 亞伯拉罕為了所多瑪這個罪惡之城的百姓，與耶和華討價還價。從五十個義人，一直討價還價到降為十個義人的程度。亞伯拉罕或許認為，所多瑪至少應該有十個義人吧！他卻不知道所多瑪城連十個義人也沒有。他也沒想到上帝的底線並不是十個義人。上帝只要一個義人願意犧牲，他就可以饒恕全世界的罪人。感謝上帝的恩典。
題目: 18:22-33你認為亞伯拉罕為何要為所多瑪和蛾摩拉代求？上帝為何願意和他「討價還價」的對談討論？你有何想法與學習？
18:1 耶和華在幔利橡樹那裡向亞伯拉罕顯現出來。那時正熱，亞伯拉罕坐在帳棚門口，
And the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day.
18:2 舉目觀看，見有三個人在對面站著。他一見，就從帳棚門口跑去迎接他們，俯伏在地，
He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men stood in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the earth,
18:3 說：「我主，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要離開僕人往前去。
and said, "My lord, if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant.
18:4 容我拿點水來，你們洗洗腳，在樹下歇息歇息。
Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree,
18:5 我再拿一點餅來，你們可以加添心力，然後往前去。你們既到僕人這裡來，理當如此。」他們說：「就照你說的行吧。」
while I fetch a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on -- since you have come to your servant." So they said, "Do as you have said."
18:6 亞伯拉罕急忙進帳棚見撒拉，說：「你速速拿三細亞細麵調和作餅。」
And Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah, and said, "Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes."
18:7 亞伯拉罕又跑到牛群裡，牽了一隻又嫩又好的牛犢來，交給僕人，僕人急忙預備好了。
And Abraham ran to the herd, and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to the servant, who hastened to prepare it.
18:8 亞伯拉罕又取了奶油和奶，並預備好的牛犢來，擺在他們面前，自己在樹下站在旁邊，他們就吃了。
Then he took curds, and milk, and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree while they ate.
18:9 他們問亞伯拉罕說：「你妻子撒拉在那裡？」他說：「在帳棚裡。」
They said to him, "Where is Sarah your wife?" And he said, "She is in the tent."
18:10 三人中有一位說：「到明年這時候，我必要回到你這裡；你的妻子撒拉必生一個兒子。」撒拉在那人後邊的帳棚門口也聽見了這話。
The LORD said, "I will surely return to you in the spring, and Sarah your wife shall have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him.
18:11 亞伯拉罕和撒拉年紀老邁，撒拉的月經已斷絕了。
Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
18:12 撒拉心裡暗笑，說：「我既已衰敗，我主也老邁，豈能有這喜事呢？」
So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I have grown old, and my husband is old, shall I have pleasure?"
18:13 耶和華對亞伯拉罕說：「撒拉為甚麼暗笑，說：『我既已年老，果真能生養麼？』
The LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, and say, `Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?'
18:14 耶和華豈有難成的事嗎？到了日期，明年這時候，我必回到你這裡，撒拉必生一個兒子。」
Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, in the spring, and Sarah shall have a son."
18:15 撒拉就害怕，不承認，說：「我沒有笑。」那位說：「不然，你實在笑了。」
But Sarah denied, saying, "I did not laugh"; for she was afraid. He said, "No, but you did laugh."
18:16 三人就從那裡起行，向所多瑪觀看，亞伯拉罕也與他們同行，要送他們一程。
Then the men set out from there, and they looked toward Sodom ; and Abraham went with them to set them on their way.
18:17 耶和華說：「我所要作的事豈可瞞著亞伯拉罕呢？
The LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do,
18:18 亞伯拉罕必要成為強大的國；地上的萬國都必因他得福。
seeing that Abraham shall become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall bless themselves by him?
18:19 我眷顧他，為要叫他吩咐他的眾子和他的眷屬遵守我的道，秉公行義，使我所應許亞伯拉罕的話都成就了。」
No, for I have chosen him, that he may charge his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice; so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him."
18:20 耶和華說：「所多瑪和蛾摩拉的罪惡甚重，聲聞於我。
Then the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomor'rah is great and their sin is very grave,
18:21 我現在要下去，察看他們所行的，果然盡像那達到我耳中的聲音一樣嗎？若是不然，我也必知道。」
I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry which has come to me; and if not, I will know."
18:22 二人轉身離開那裡，向所多瑪去；但亞伯拉罕仍舊站在耶和華面前。
So the men turned from there, and went toward Sodom ; but Abraham still stood before the LORD.
18:23 亞伯拉罕近前來，說：「無論善惡，你都要剿滅嗎？
Then Abraham drew near, and said, "Wilt thou indeed destroy the righteous with the wicked?
18:24 假若那城裡有五十個義人，你還剿滅那地方嗎？不為城裡這五十個義人饒恕其中的人嗎？
Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city; wilt thou then destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it?
18:25 將義人與惡人同殺，將義人與惡人一樣看待，這斷不是你所行的。審判全地的主豈不行公義嗎？」
Far be it from thee to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from thee! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
18:26 耶和華說：「我若在所多瑪城裡見有五十個義人，我就為他們的緣故饒恕那地方的眾人。」
And the LORD said, "If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake."
18:27 亞伯拉罕說：「我雖然是灰塵，還敢對主說話。
Abraham answered, "Behold, I have taken upon myself to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.
18:28 假若這五十個義人短了五個，你就因為短了五個毀滅全城嗎？」他說：「我在那裡若見有四十五個，也不毀滅那城。」
Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking? Wilt thou destroy the whole city for lack of five?" And he said, "I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there."
18:29 亞伯拉罕又對他說：「假若在那裡見有四十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「為這四十個的緣故，我也不作這事。」
Again he spoke to him, and said, "Suppose forty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of forty I will not do it."
18:30 亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要動怒，容我說，假若在那裡見有三十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「我在那裡若見有三十個，我也不作這事。」
Then he said, "Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there." He answered, "I will not do it, if I find thirty there."
18:31 亞伯拉罕說：「我還敢對主說話，假若在那裡見有二十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「為這二十個的緣故，我也不毀滅那城。」
He said, "Behold, I have taken upon myself to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it."
18:32 亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要動怒，我再說這一次，假若在那裡見有十個呢？」他說：「為這十個的緣故，我也不毀滅那城。」
Then he said, "Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there." He answered, "For the sake of ten I will not destroy it."
18:33 耶和華與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。
And the LORD went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.

W3 2011-01-26 (尼13:1-13:31)
經文: 尼希米記 13:30 這樣，我潔淨他們，使他們離絕一切外邦人，派定祭司和利未人的班次，使他們各盡其職。
默想: 尼希米發現被擄歸回的以色列人忽略了祭司與利未人的生活供應，以致於他們各自尋找出路而荒廢了聖殿的服侍。以色列人還與外邦人通婚，以致於第二代的宗教教育受到影響。尼希米用非常激烈的手段來處理這些屬靈的危機。主啊！這段經文只是歷史事實的陳述，或是含有屬靈命令的教導呢？
題目: 尼希米處理異族通婚的方式與以斯拉 (參閱拉9:3)之差異你有何感想呢？
13:1 當日，人念摩西的律法書給百姓聽，遇見書上寫著說，亞捫人和摩押人永不可入 神的會；
On that day they read from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God;
13:2 因為他們沒有拿食物和水來迎接以色列人，且雇了巴蘭咒詛他們，但我們的 神使那咒詛變為祝福。
for they did not meet the children of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them -- yet our God turned the curse into a blessing.
13:3 以色列民聽見這律法，就與一切閒雜人絕交
When the people heard the law, they separated from Israel all those of foreign descent.
13:4 先是蒙派管理我們 神殿中庫房的祭司以利亞實與多比雅結親，
Now before this, Eli'ashib the priest, who was appointed over the chambers of the house of our God, and who was connected with Tobi'ah,
13:5 便為他預備一間大屋子，就是從前收存素祭、乳香、器皿，和照命令供給利未人、歌唱的、守門的五穀、新酒，和油的十分之一，並歸祭司舉祭的屋子。
prepared for Tobi'ah a large chamber where they had previously put the cereal offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.
13:6 那時我不在耶路撒冷；因為巴比倫王亞達薛西三十二年，我回到王那裡。過了多日，我向王告假。
While this was taking place I was not in Jerusalem , for in the thirty-second year of Ar-ta-xerx'es king of Babylon I went to the king. And after some time I asked leave of the king
13:7 我來到耶路撒冷，就知道以利亞實為多比雅在 神殿的院內預備屋子的那件惡事。
and came to Jerusalem , and I then discovered the evil that Eli'ashib had done for Tobi'ah, preparing for him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.
13:8 我甚惱怒，就把多比雅的一切家具從屋裡都拋出去，
And I was very angry, and I threw all the household furniture of Tobi'ah out of the chamber.
13:9 吩咐人潔淨這屋子，遂將 神殿的器皿和素祭、乳香又搬進去。
Then I gave orders and they cleansed the chambers; and I brought back thither the vessels of the house of God, with the cereal offering and the frankincense.
13:10 我見利未人所當得的分無人供給他們，甚至供職的利未人與歌唱的俱各奔回自己的田地去了。
I also found out that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; so that the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each to his field.
13:11 我就斥責官長說：「為何離棄 神的殿呢？」我便招聚利未人，使他們照舊供職。
So I remonstrated with the officials and said, "Why is the house of God forsaken?" And I gathered them together and set them in their stations.
13:12 猶大眾人就把五穀、新酒，和油的十分之一送入庫房。
Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses.
13:13 我派祭司示利米雅、文士撒督，和利未人毗大雅作庫官管理庫房；副官是哈難。哈難是撒刻的兒子；撒刻是瑪他尼的兒子。這些人都是忠信的，他們的職分是將所供給的分給他們的弟兄。
And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouses Shelemi'ah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedai'ah of the Levites, and as their assistant Hanan the son of Zaccur, son of Mattani'ah, for they were counted faithful; and their duty was to distribute to their brethren.
13:14 我的 神啊，求你因這事記念我，不要塗抹我為 神的殿與其中的禮節所行的善。
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.
13:15 那些日子，我在猶大見有人在安息日醡酒（原文是踹酒醡），搬運禾捆馱在驢上，又把酒、葡萄、無花果，和各樣的擔子在安息日擔入耶路撒冷，我就在他們賣食物的那日警戒他們。
In those days I saw in Judah men treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on asses; and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day; and I warned them on the day when they sold food.
13:16 又有推羅人住在耶路撒冷；他們把魚和各樣貨物運進來，在安息日賣給猶大人。
Men of Tyre also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of wares and sold them on the sabbath to the people of Judah , and in Jerusalem .
13:17 我就斥責猶大的貴冑說：「你們怎麼行這惡事犯了安息日呢？
Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, "What is this evil thing which you are doing, profaning the sabbath day?
13:18 從前你們列祖豈不是這樣行，以致我們 神使一切災禍臨到我們和這城嗎？現在你們還犯安息日，使忿怒越發臨到以色列！」
Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath."
13:19 在安息日的前一日，耶路撒冷城門有黑影的時候，我就吩咐人將門關鎖，不過安息日不准開放。我又派我幾個僕人管理城門，免得有人在安息日擔甚麼擔子進城。
When it began to be dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the sabbath. And I set some of my servants over the gates, that no burden might be brought in on the sabbath day.
13:20 於是商人和販賣各樣貨物的， 一兩 次住宿在耶路撒冷城外。
Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.
13:21 我就警戒他們說：「你們為何在城外住宿呢？若再這樣，我必下手拿辦你們。」從此以後，他們在安息日不再來了。
But I warned them and said to them, "Why do you lodge before the wall? If you do so again I will lay hands on you." From that time on they did not come on the sabbath.
13:22 我吩咐利未人潔淨自己，來守城門，使安息日為聖。我的 神啊，求你因這事記念我，照你的大慈愛憐恤我。
And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of thy steadfast love.
13:23 那些日子，我也見猶大人娶了亞實突、亞捫、摩押的女子為妻。
In those days also I saw the Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab;
13:24 他們的兒女說話，一半是亞實突的話，不會說猶大的話，所說的是照著各族的方言。
and half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod , and they could not speak the language of Judah , but the language of each people.
13:25 我就斥責他們，咒詛他們，打了他們幾個人，拔下他們的頭髮，叫他們指著 神起誓，必不將自己的女兒嫁給外邦人的兒子，也不為自己和兒子娶他們的女兒。
And I contended with them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair; and I made them take oath in the name of God, saying, "You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.
13:26 我又說：「以色列王所羅門不是在這樣的事上犯罪嗎？在多國中並沒有一王像他，且蒙他 神所愛， 神立他作以色列全國的王；然而連他也被外邦女子引誘犯罪。
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel ; nevertheless foreign women made even him to sin.
13:27 如此，我豈聽你們行這大惡，娶外邦女子干犯我們的 神呢？」
Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and act treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?"
13:28 大祭司以利亞實的孫子、耶何耶大的一個兒子是和倫人參巴拉的女婿，我就從我這裡把他趕出去。
And one of the sons of Jehoi'ada, the son of Eli'ashib the high priest, was the son-in-law of Sanbal'lat the Hor'onite; therefore I chased him from me.
13:29 我的 神啊，求你記念他們的罪；因為他們玷污了祭司的職任，違背你與祭司利未人所立的約。
Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood and the Levites.
13:30 這樣，我潔淨他們，使他們離絕一切外邦人，派定祭司和利未人的班次，使他們各盡其職。
Thus I cleansed them from everything foreign, and I established the duties of the priests and Levites, each in his work;
13:31 我又派百姓按定期獻柴和初熟的土產。我的 神啊，求你記念我，施恩與我。
and I provided for the wood offering, at appointed times, and for the first fruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.
