經文: 撒母耳記下 1:24-27 以色列的女子啊，當為掃羅哭號！他曾使你們穿朱紅色的美衣，使你們衣服有黃金的妝飾。英雄何竟在陣上仆倒！約拿單何竟在山上被殺！我兄約拿單哪，我為你悲傷！我甚喜悅你！你向我發的愛情奇妙非常，過於婦女的愛情。英雄何竟仆倒！戰具何竟滅沒！

默想: 大衛在聽到掃羅與約拿單在基利波山上戰敗被殺的噩耗時，心中非常悲哀，因此作了一首哀歌，來記念掃羅與約拿單。大衛記念約拿單是我們可以理解的。因為約拿單是掃羅王的長子，是預定要繼承王位的。但是由於掃羅王的傲慢與叛逆，耶和華差遣撒母耳另外膏抹了大衛。掃羅因而四處要追殺大衛以除後患。但是在大衛被掃羅追殺而成為亡命之徒時，約拿單雖貴為王子，卻處處設法為大衛在掃羅父王面前緩頰說情，甚至因而激怒掃羅王，顯遭殺身之禍。約拿單還幫助大衛逃避掃羅王的追殺，且前往大衛藏匿之處，與大衛發誓立約，鼓勵大衛靠神堅固。約拿單對大衛這種刎頸之交的友情 (phileo)，大衛認為甚至遠超過男女之間的愛情 (eros)。這種寶貴的友情，甚至給當今支持同性戀神學家拿來當作是約拿單與大衛之間是同性戀的聖經根據。但是，掃羅王卻是從知道全國人民成為大衛的粉絲之後，就把大衛視為眼中釘，一定要拔除為快。大衛好幾次有機會親手殺死掃羅王，卻因為尊重掃羅王是耶和華所膏立的以色列國王而不敢下手。當耶和華藉著非利士人的手殺死掃羅王時，大衛一點沒有興災樂禍、上帝終於還他清白並且彰顯公義的喜樂。大衛還是為掃羅王的去世哀傷，大衛還是記念掃羅王對以色列民所曾留下的恩情。求主教導我，能夠不記念別人的惡，反而是常記念別人的恩情。

題目: 亞瑪利少年為奉承以色列新王─大衛，謊稱掃羅為自己所殺，並獻上掃羅冠冕盼得獎賞，卻未料大衛是敬畏上主的君王，結果少年「為他殺害耶和華的受膏者」而償命。試問亞瑪利少年的遭遇對你有何提醒？
1:1 掃羅死後，大衛擊殺亞瑪力人回來，在洗革拉住了兩天。
After the death of Saul, when David had returned from the slaughter of the Amal'ekites, David remained two days in Ziklag;
1:2 第三天，有一人從掃羅的營裡出來，衣服撕裂，頭蒙灰塵，到大衛面前伏地叩拜。
and on the third day, behold, a man came from Saul's camp, with his clothes rent and earth upon his head. And when he came to David, he fell to the ground and did obeisance.
1:3 大衛問他說：「你從哪裡來？」他說：「我從以色列的營裡逃來。」
David said to him, "Where do you come from?" And he said to him, "I have escaped from the camp of Israel."
1:4 大衛又問他說：「事情怎樣？請你告訴我。」他回答說：「百姓從陣上逃跑，也有許多人仆倒死亡；掃羅和他兒子約拿單也死了。」
And David said to him, "How did it go? Tell me." And he answered, "The people have fled from the battle, and many of the people also have fallen and are dead; and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead."
1:5 大衛問報信的少年人說：「你怎麼知道掃羅和他兒子約拿單死了呢？」
Then David said to the young man who told him, "How do you know that Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?"
1:6 報信的少年人說：「我偶然到基利波山，看見掃羅伏在自己槍上，有戰車、馬兵緊緊地追他。
And the young man who told him said, "By chance I happened to be on Mount Gilbo'a; and there was Saul leaning upon his spear; and lo, the chariots and the horsemen were close upon him.
1:7 他回頭看見我，就呼叫我。我說：『我在這裡。』
And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called to me. And I answered, `Here I am.'
1:8 他問我說：『你是甚麼人？』我說：『我是亞瑪力人。』
And he said to me, `Who are you?' I answered him, `I am an Amal'ekite.'
1:9 他說：『請你來，將我殺死；因為痛苦抓住我，我的生命尚存。』
And he said to me, `Stand beside me and slay me; for anguish has seized me, and yet my life still lingers.'
1:10 我準知他仆倒必不能活，就去將他殺死，把他頭上的冠冕、臂上的鐲子拿到我主這裡。」
So I stood beside him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen; and I took the crown which was on his head and the armlet which was on his arm, and I have brought them here to my lord."
1:11 大衛就撕裂衣服，跟隨他的人也是如此，
Then David took hold of his clothes, and rent them; and so did all the men who were with him;
1:12 而且悲哀哭號，禁食到晚上，是因掃羅和他兒子約拿單，並耶和華的民以色列家的人，倒在刀下。
and they mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul and for Jonathan his son and for the people of the LORD and for the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.
1:13 大衛問報信的少年人說：「你是哪裡的人？」他說：「我是亞瑪力客人的兒子。」
And David said to the young man who told him, "Where do you come from?" And he answered, "I am the son of a sojourner, an Amal'ekite."
1:14 大衛說：「你伸手殺害耶和華的受膏者，怎麼不畏懼呢？」
David said to him, "How is it you were not afraid to put forth your hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?"
1:15 大衛叫了一個少年人來，說：「你去殺他吧！」
Then David called one of the young men and said, "Go, fall upon him." And he smote him so that he died.
1:16 大衛對他說：「你流人血的罪歸到自己的頭上，因為你親口作見證說：『我殺了耶和華的受膏者。』」少年人就把他殺了。
And David said to him, "Your blood be upon your head; for your own mouth has testified against you, saying, `I have slain the LORD'S anointed.'"
1:17 大衛作哀歌，弔掃羅和他兒子約拿單，
And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and Jonathan his son,
1:18 且吩咐將這歌教導猶大人。這歌名叫弓歌，寫在雅煞珥書上。
and he said it should be taught to the people of Judah; behold, it is written in the Book of Jashar. He said:
1:19 歌中說：以色列啊，你尊榮者在山上被殺！大英雄何竟死亡！
"Thy glory, O Israel, is slain upon thy high places! How are the mighty fallen!
1:20 不要在迦特報告；不要在亞實基倫街上傳揚；免得非利士的女子歡樂；免得未受割禮之人的女子矜誇。
Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Ash'kelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised exult.
1:21 基利波山哪，願你那裡沒有雨露！願你田地無土產可作供物！因為英雄的盾牌在那裡被污丟棄；掃羅的盾牌彷彿未曾抹油。
"Ye mountains of Gilbo'a, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor upsurging of the deep! For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.
1:22 約拿單的弓箭非流敵人的血不退縮；掃羅的刀劍非剖勇士的油不收回。
"From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.
1:23 掃羅和約拿單─活時相悅相愛，死時也不分離─他們比鷹更快，比獅子還強。
"Saul and Jonathan, beloved and lovely! In life and in death they were not divided; they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
1:24 以色列的女子啊，當為掃羅哭號！他曾使你們穿朱紅色的美衣，使你們衣服有黃金的妝飾。
"Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you daintily in scarlet, who put ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
1:25 英雄何竟在陣上仆倒！約拿單何竟在山上被殺！
"How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! "Jonathan lies slain upon thy high places.
1:26 我兄約拿單哪，我為你悲傷！我甚喜悅你！你向我發的愛情奇妙非常，過於婦女的愛情。
I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me; your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.
1:27 英雄何竟仆倒！戰具何竟滅沒！
"How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!"

經文: 撒母耳記上 31:4 就吩咐拿他兵器的人說：「你拔出刀來，將我刺死，免得那些未受割禮的人來刺我，凌辱我。」但拿兵器的人甚懼怕，不肯刺他；掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。

默想: 掃羅王被撒母耳膏立為王時，為人謙卑 (撒上9:21; 10;21-22)。 但是，一旦登基為王之後，卻變為傲慢叛逆，把撒母耳的善意警告，當作馬耳東風。導致耶和華厭棄掃羅王，另外膏抹大衛。掃羅不只不知謙卑悔改，反而濫用職權，企圖謀殺大衛，想要靠自己的暴力，來保住自己的王位。結果是耶和華興起非利士人，在戰場上大勝以色列軍隊，掃羅與三個兒子以及全體以色列軍兵，全部戰死沙場。掃羅被箭射傷，為了避免被敵軍凌辱，請求拿兵器的副手為他執行安樂死。奈何那位副手也不敢親手弒君，掃羅只好伏刀自盡。掃羅雖然因此逃過生前被擄、被凌辱而死的悲慘，卻在死後也不得安寧，被非利士人斬首，首級被拿到非利士四境與廟宇巡迴展示以誇勝。屍身被釘在伯珊的城牆，受風吹日曬，不得入土為安。還好有基列雅比的勇士，冒顯將掃羅的無頭屍身從牆上取下，火化成骨灰，將其安葬在雅比的垂絲柳樹下，並為其舉哀七日。求主保守我，在蒙耶和華恩典而興盛成功時，更應該謙卑順服神，以免因為驕傲叛逆，而遭受上帝公義的審判與責罰。

題目: 掃羅上半生－屬最小支派便雅憫，自以為小被膏為王、擊敗亞捫王位鞏固。卻從勉強獻祭，開始他「沒有遵守耶和華神的所吩咐的」的下半生。他被召原為拯救以色列脫離非利士之手，然，人生最後之戰，卻敗在非利士人手中，試想掃羅的一生為何而敗？你的一生又如何？
 
31:1 非利士人與以色列人爭戰。以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波有被殺仆倒的。
Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled before the Philistines, and fell slain on Mount Gilbo'a.
31:2 非利士人緊追掃羅和他兒子們，就殺了掃羅的兒子約拿單、亞比拿達、麥基舒亞。
And the Philistines overtook Saul and his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan and Abin'adab and Mal'chishu'a, the sons of Saul.
31:3 勢派甚大，掃羅被弓箭手追上，射傷甚重，
The battle pressed hard upon Saul, and the archers found him; and he was badly wounded by the archers.
31:4 就吩咐拿他兵器的人說：「你拔出刀來，將我刺死，免得那些未受割禮的人來刺我，凌辱我。」但拿兵器的人甚懼怕，不肯刺他；掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。
Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and make sport of me." But his armor-bearer would not; for he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword, and fell upon it.
31:5 拿兵器的人見掃羅已死，也伏在刀上死了。
And when his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell upon his sword, and died with him.
31:6 這樣，掃羅和他三個兒子，與拿他兵器的人，以及跟隨他的人，都一同死亡。
Thus Saul died, and his three sons, and his armor-bearer, and all his men, on the same day together.
31:7 住平原那邊並約旦河西的以色列人，見以色列軍兵逃跑，掃羅和他兒子都死了，也就棄城逃跑。非利士人便來住在其中。
And when the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley and those beyond the Jordan saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook their cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
31:8 次日，非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服，看見掃羅和他三個兒子仆倒在基利波山，
On the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilbo'a.
31:9 就割下他的首級，剝了他的軍裝，打發人到（或譯：送到）非利士地的四境，報信與他們廟裡的偶像和眾民；
And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines, to carry the good news to their idols and to the people.
31:10 又將掃羅的軍裝放在亞斯她錄廟裡，將他的屍身釘在伯•珊的城牆上。
They put his armor in the temple of Ash'taroth; and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.
31:11 基列•雅比的居民聽見非利士人向掃羅所行的事，
But when the inhabitants of Ja'besh-gil'ead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul,
31:12 他們中間所有的勇士就起身，走了一夜，將掃羅和他兒子的屍身從伯•珊城牆上取下來，送到雅比那裡，用火燒了；
all the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan; and they came to Jabesh and burnt them there.
31:13 將他們骸骨葬在雅比的垂絲柳樹下，就禁食七日。
And they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

默想: 那些被稱為惡人與匪類的大衛跟隨者，其實是忠心耿耿、跟隨大衛冒險去攻擊亞瑪力人，搶救被擄去的妻兒家當的戰士。他們給大衛所提出的建議，只是當今資本主義的基本前設，就是所謂的論功行賞的分配性公義原則 (Merit Based Distribution Justice)，他們其實對於那兩百位因為體力不支，而無法渡過比梭溪去追殺亞瑪力人的同袍，還算滿有愛心的，願意毫無代價的將替他們搶救回來的妻兒家當，完全歸還給他們。大衛在此讓我們看到他對整個事件的看法，與這群被稱為惡徒匪類的資本主義者不同。大衛把這次得以全勝而歸的功勞，歸給耶和華，因此，這是從耶和華那裡所得到的恩典與賞賜，既是恩典，就應該所有的人都平分。大衛不只認為恩典應該大家平分，甚至也要分給其他的人，就是他朋友猶大的長老。其實，大衛在當時並沒有受到猶大長老的保護與支持，甚至好幾次是被猶大長老所出賣，大衛才落得必須投奔敵國以求保命，也因此而造成洗革拉被亞瑪力人洗劫一空的悲慘下場。但是，當大衛成功的搶救回來這些被洗劫俘虜的妻兒家當時，卻寬大為懷，將所擄獲的戰利品與猶大長老們分享。求主幫助我，從大衛身上學到寶貴的屬靈功課，不要將自己的成功視為自己努力的功勞而自誇或自私自利，要在自己的成功中看見別人的貢獻與上帝的恩典，存感恩與慷慨的心將這些恩典與別人分享。

題目: 亞瑪利人趁大衛不在洗劫洗革拉，回城的大衛見狀率兵救回妻兒，並奪回財物，並定下「上陣的得多少，看守器具的也得多少」的獎賞規則。試問，當你身為上陣的、看守器具的或是立此規則的人時，會如何看待這個規定？(v21-25)
30:1 第三日，大衛和跟隨他的人到了洗革拉。亞瑪力人已經侵奪南地，攻破洗革拉，用火焚燒，
Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amal'ekites had made a raid upon the Negeb and upon Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag, and burned it with fire,
30:2 擄了城內的婦女和其中的大小人口，卻沒有殺一個，都帶著走了。
and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great; they killed no one, but carried them off, and went their way.
30:3 大衛和跟隨他的人到了那城，不料，城已燒毀，他們的妻子兒女都被擄去了。
And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.
30:4 大衛和跟隨他的人就放聲大哭，直哭得沒有氣力。
Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept, until they had no more strength to weep.
30:5 大衛的兩個妻─耶斯列人亞希暖和作過拿八妻的迦密人亞比該，也被擄去了。
David's two wives also had been taken captive, Ahin'o-am of Jezreel, and Ab'igail the widow of Nabal of Carmel.
30:6 大衛甚是焦急，因眾人為自己的兒女苦惱，說：「要用石頭打死他。」大衛卻倚靠耶和華─他的　神，心裡堅固。
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
30:7 大衛對亞希米勒的兒子祭司亞比亞他說：「請你將以弗得拿過來。」亞比亞他就將以弗得拿到大衛面前。
And David said to Abi'athar the priest, the son of Ahim'elech, "Bring me the ephod." So Abi'athar brought the ephod to David.
30:8 大衛求問耶和華說：「我追趕敵軍，追得上追不上呢？」耶和華說：「你可以追，必追得上，都救得回來。」
And David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?" He answered him, "Pursue; for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue."
30:9 於是，大衛和跟隨他的六百人來到比梭溪；有不能前去的就留在那裡。
So David set out, and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook Besor, where those stayed who were left behind.
30:10 大衛卻帶著四百人往前追趕，有二百人疲乏，不能過比梭溪，所以留在那裡。
But David went on with the pursuit, he and four hundred men; two hundred stayed behind, who were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor.
30:11 這四百人在田野遇見一個埃及人，就帶他到大衛面前，給他餅吃，給他水喝，
They found an Egyptian in the open country, and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, they gave him water to drink,
30:12 又給他一塊無花果餅，兩個葡萄餅。他吃了，就精神復原；因為他三日三夜沒有吃餅，沒有喝水。
and they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when he had eaten, his spirit revived; for he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights.
30:13 大衛問他說：「你是屬誰的？你是哪裡的人？」他回答說：「我是埃及的少年人，是亞瑪力人的奴僕；因我三日前患病，我主人就把我撇棄了。
And David said to him, "To whom do you belong? And where are you from?" He said, "I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amal'ekite; and my master left me behind because I fell sick three days ago.
30:14 我們侵奪了基利提的南方和屬猶大的地，並迦勒地的南方，又用火燒了洗革拉。」
We had made a raid upon the Negeb of the Cher'ethites and upon that which belongs to Judah and upon the Negeb of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire."
30:15 大衛問他說：「你肯領我們到敵軍那裡不肯？」他回答說：「你要向我指著　神起誓，不殺我，也不將我交在我主人手裡，我就領你下到敵軍那裡。」
And David said to him, "Will you take me down to this band?" And he said, "Swear to me by God, that you will not kill me, or deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this band."
30:16 那人領大衛下去，見他們散在地上，吃喝跳舞，因為從非利士地和猶大地所擄來的財物甚多。
And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.
30:17 大衛從黎明直到次日晚上，擊殺他們，除了四百騎駱駝的少年人之外，沒有一個逃脫的。
And David smote them from twilight until the evening of the next day; and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled.
30:18 亞瑪力人所擄去的財物，大衛全都奪回，並救回他的兩個妻來。
David recovered all that the Amal'ekites had taken; and David rescued his two wives.
30:19 凡亞瑪力人所擄去的，無論大小、兒女、財物，大衛都奪回來，沒有失落一個。
Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken; David brought back all.
30:20 大衛所奪來的牛群羊群，跟隨他的人趕在原有的群畜前邊，說：「這是大衛的掠物。」
David also captured all the flocks and herds; and the people drove those cattle before him, and said, "This is David's spoil."
30:21 大衛到了那疲乏不能跟隨、留在比梭溪的二百人那裡。他們出來迎接大衛並跟隨的人。大衛前來問他們安。
Then David came to the two hundred men, who had been too exhausted to follow David, and who had been left at the brook Besor; and they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him; and when David drew near to the people he saluted them.
30:22 跟隨大衛人中的惡人和匪類說：「這些人既然沒有和我們同去，我們所奪的財物就不分給他們，只將他們各人的妻子兒女給他們，使他們帶去就是了。
Then all the wicked and base fellows among the men who had gone with David said, "Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any of the spoil which we have recovered, except that each man may lead away his wife and children, and depart."

But David said, "You shall not do so, my brothers, with what the LORD has given us; he has preserved us and given into our hand the band that came against us.

Who would listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down into the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike."
30:25 大衛定此為以色列的律例典章，從那日直到今日。
And from that day forward he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.

When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, "Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the LORD";

�文: 撒母耳�上 29:4-5 非利士人的首�向�吉�怒，�他�：「你要叫�人回你所安置他的地方，不可叫他同我�出�，恐怕他在�上反�我�的�人。他用什��他主人�和呢？�不是用我��些人的首��？�前以色列的�女跳舞唱和�：『���死千千，大��死��』，所�的不是��大��？」

默想: �段�文�我�看到，�世界上的政治��事��，是充�了不信任的危�感。�����之�的�我��，常常是看��的�境�互�而改�。想�年大�是�挑非利士人��叫�的哥利�，用五�光滑石子�甩石�弦，�死哥利�，成�拯救以色列的英雄。那�知道，�大招�，大�的名�超越了���，引起��王的危�意�，�大�恩�仇�，放著�事不治理，�用公�力，率�重兵追�拯救以色列��非利士人的大�。大�被逼得走投�路，�然有�次��，可以�易的���王置之死地，�因�大�尊重��王是耶和�所膏立的君王，不敢�手�死��王。最後，大�只好投奔��非利士的�吉王，表面向�吉王效忠，甚至使用欺�的手腕�搏得�吉王的信任。�非利士人又要�以色列人���，大��然博取到�吉王的信任，�引起其於非利士王的�疑，而���上被遣送返�。求主�助我，在�千��化的世界，能��守�於上帝的忠�，一生永不改�。

Now the Philistines gathered all their forces at Aphek; and the Israelites were encamped by the fountain which is in Jezreel.
29:2 非利士人的首�各率��，或百或千，挨次前�；大�和跟�他的人同著�吉跟在後�。
As the lords of the Philistines were passing on by hundreds and by thousands, and David and his men were passing on in the rear with A'chish,
29:3 非利士人的首��：「�些希伯�人在��做甚�呢？」�吉�他��：「�不是以色列王��的臣子大��？他在我��有些年日了。自�他投降我直到今日，我未曾�他有��。」
the commanders of the Philistines said, "What are these Hebrews doing here?" And A'chish said to the commanders of the Philistines, "Is not this David, the servant of Saul, king of Israel, who has been with me now for days and years, and since he deserted to me I have found no fault in him to this day."
29:4 非利士人的首�向�吉�怒，�他�：「你要叫�人回你所安置他的地方，不可叫他同我�出�，恐怕他在�上反�我�的�人。他用甚��他主人�和呢？�不是用我��些人的首��？
But the commanders of the Philistines were angry with him; and the commanders of the Philistines said to him, "Send the man back, that he may return to the place to which you have assigned him; he shall not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us. For how could this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Would it not be with the heads of the men here?
29:5 �前以色列的�女跳舞唱和�：『���死千千，大��死��』，所�的不是��大��？」
Is not this David, of whom they sing to one another in dances, `Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands'?"
29:6 �吉叫大��，�他�：「我指著永生的耶和�起誓，你是正直人。你�我在�中出入，我看你甚好。自�你投奔我到如今，我未曾�你有甚��失；只是�首�不喜�你。
Then A'chish called David and said to him, "As the LORD lives, you have been honest, and to me it seems right that you should march out and in with me in the campaign; for I have found nothing wrong in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless the lords do not approve of you.
29:7 �在你可以平平安安地回去，免得非利士人的首�不�喜你。」
So go back now; and go peaceably, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines."
29:8 大���吉�：「我做了甚�呢？自��人到你面前，直到今日，你查出我有甚���，使我不去攻�主─我王的仇�呢？」
And David said to A'chish, "But what have I done? What have you found in your servant from the day I entered your service until now, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"
29:9 �吉�：「我知道你在我眼前是好人，如同　神的使者一般；只是非利士人的首��：『�人不可同我�出�。』
And A'chish made answer to David, "I know that you are as blameless in my sight as an angel of God; nevertheless the commanders of the Philistines have said, `He shall not go up with us to the battle.'
29:10 故此你和跟�你的人，就是你本主的�人，要明日早晨起�，等到天亮回去吧！」
Now then rise early in the morning with the servants of your lord who came with you; and start early in the morning, and depart as soon as you have light."
29:11 於是大�和跟�他的人早晨起�，回往非利士地去。非利士人也上耶斯列去了。
So David set out with his men early in the morning, to return to the land of the Philistines. But the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

經文: 撒母耳記上 28:14 掃羅說：「他是怎樣的形狀？」婦人說：「有一個老人上來，身穿長衣。」掃羅知道是撒母耳，就屈身，臉伏於地下拜。

在此我看到掃羅由於不聽從耶和華經由撒母耳所傳達給他的命令，導致耶和華拒絕繼續向掃羅啟示，不管是經由祭司的烏陵，或是先知的話語，或是夜間的夢境。掃羅在走投無路之情況下，只好病急亂投醫，甚至連他自己所立法嚴禁的交鬼巫術都用上了。掃羅在撒母耳生前並不聽從他苦口婆心的勸告，現在卻想要找撒母耳的亡魂來指引。從聖經內容看來，這個被交鬼婦女所召上來的鬼魂，向掃羅所說的每一句話，都是真實的。求主幫助我，對於耶和華所啟示的命令，要盡全力去遵行，不要像掃羅一樣，叛逆到一個程度，讓耶和華拒絕再向我啟示。關於隱多珥交鬼婦人所召喚上來的，我個人相信是撒母耳的亡魂。

題目: 非利士大軍壓境，掃羅懼怕膽顫，求神問卜、找交鬼女巫、召撒母耳魂，為求平安。但答案卻是一樣：「因為你違背上主的命令」試想，當我們禱告時，是尋求神的心意亦或尋求神合乎我們的心意？
28:1 那時，非利士人聚集軍旅，要與以色列人打仗。亞吉對大衛說：「你當知道，你和跟隨你的人都要隨我出戰。」
In those days the Philistines gathered their forces for war, to fight against Israel. And A'chish said to David, "Understand that you and your men are to go out with me in the army."
28:2 大衛對亞吉說：「僕人所能做的事，王必知道。」亞吉對大衛說：「這樣，我立你永遠作我的護衛長。」
David said to A'chish, "Very well, you shall know what your servant can do." And A'chish said to David, "Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for life."
28:3 那時撒母耳已經死了，以色列眾人為他哀哭，葬他在拉瑪，就是在他本城裡。掃羅曾在國內不容有交鬼的和行巫術的人。
Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in Ramah, his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the wizards out of the land.

The Philistines assembled, and came and encamped at Shunem; and Saul gathered all Israel, and they encamped at Gilbo'a.

When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
28:6 掃羅求問耶和華，耶和華卻不藉夢，或烏陵，或先知回答他。
And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets.
28:7 掃羅吩咐臣僕說：「當為我找一個交鬼的婦人，我好去問她。」臣僕說：「在隱•多珥有一個交鬼的婦人。」
Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "Behold, there is a medium at Endor."
28:8 於是掃羅改了裝，穿上別的衣服，帶著兩個人，夜裡去見那婦人。掃羅說：「求你用交鬼的法術，將我所告訴你的死人，為我招上來。」
So Saul disguised himself and put on other garments, and went, he and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Divine for me by a spirit, and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you."
28:9 婦人對他說：「你知道掃羅從國中剪除交鬼的和行巫術的。你為何陷害我的性命，使我死呢？」
The woman said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the wizards from the land. Why then are you laying a snare for my life to bring about my death?"
28:10 掃羅向婦人指著耶和華起誓說：「我指著永生的耶和華起誓，你必不因這事受刑。」
But Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."
28:11 婦人說：「我為你招誰上來呢？」回答說：「為我招撒母耳上來。」
Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" He said, "Bring up Samuel for me."
28:12 婦人看見撒母耳，就大聲呼叫，對掃羅說：「你是掃羅，為甚麼欺哄我呢？」
When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice; and the woman said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul."
28:13 王對婦人說：「不要懼怕，你看見了甚麼呢？」婦人對掃羅說：「我看見有神從地裡上來。」
The king said to her, "Have no fear; what do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a god coming up out of the earth."
28:14 掃羅說：「他是怎樣的形狀？」婦人說：「有一個老人上來，身穿長衣。」掃羅知道是撒母耳，就屈身，臉伏於地下拜。
He said to her, "What is his appearance?" And she said, "An old man is coming up; and he is wrapped in a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
28:15 撒母耳對掃羅說：「你為甚麼攪擾我，招我上來呢？」掃羅回答說：「我甚窘急；因為非利士人攻擊我，　神也離開我，不再藉先知或夢回答我。因此請你上來，好指示我應當怎樣行。」
Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" Saul answered, "I am in great distress; for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams; therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do."
28:16 撒母耳說：「耶和華已經離開你，且與你為敵，你何必問我呢？
And Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has turned from you and become your enemy?
28:17 耶和華照他藉我說的話，已經從你手裡奪去國權，賜與別人，就是大衛。
The LORD has done to you as he spoke by me; for the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand, and given it to your neighbor, David.
28:18 因你沒有聽從耶和華的命令；他惱怒亞瑪力人，你沒有滅絕他們，所以今日耶和華向你這樣行，
Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD, and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Am'alek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day.
28:19 並且耶和華必將你和以色列人交在非利士人的手裡。明日你和你眾子必與我在一處了；耶和華必將以色列的軍兵交在非利士人手裡。」
Moreover the LORD will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines; and tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me; the LORD will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines."
28:20 掃羅猛然仆倒，挺身在地，因撒母耳的話甚是懼怕；那一晝一夜沒有吃甚麼，就毫無氣力。
Then Saul fell at once full length upon the ground, filled with fear because of the words of Samuel; and there was no strength in him, for he had eaten nothing all day and all night.
28:21 婦人到掃羅面前，見他極其驚恐，對他說：「婢女聽從你的話，不顧惜自己的性命，遵從你所吩咐的。
And the woman came to Saul, and when she saw that he was terrified, she said to him, "Behold, your handmaid has hearkened to you; I have taken my life in my hand, and have hearkened to what you have said to me.
28:22 現在求你聽婢女的話，容我在你面前擺上一點食物，你吃了，可以有氣力行路。」
Now therefore, you also hearken to your handmaid; let me set a morsel of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way."
28:23 掃羅不肯，說：「我不吃。」但他的僕人和婦人再三勸他，他才聽了他們的話，從地上起來，坐在床上。
He refused, and said, "I will not eat." But his servants, together with the woman, urged him; and he hearkened to their words. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
28:24 婦人急忙將家裡的一隻肥牛犢宰了，又拿麵摶成無酵餅烤了，
Now the woman had a fatted calf in the house, and she quickly killed it, and she took flour, and kneaded it and baked unleavened bread of it,
28:25 擺在掃羅和他僕人面前。他們吃完，當夜就起身走了。
and she put it before Saul and his servants; and they ate. Then they rose and went away that night.

默想: 大衛三番兩次的被掃羅追殺，雖然耶和華幾次警告掃羅王，但是掃羅王想要追殺大衛的決心，似乎並沒有減少。最後終於逼得大衛要選擇偷渡到海外的下策，希望能夠讓掃羅王放棄繼續追殺他。但是，大衛逃到國外，卻是住進敵對國家非利士人的勢力範圍。大衛的處境，並不一定會比較安全。他必需持續取得資源，好維持追隨他六百人以及家眷的生計。在國外，他似乎無法像在國內一樣，可以用收保護費的方式來得到足夠的維持生計的資源，國外的地盤，可能已經有國外的黑道分據。大衛只好挺而走險，做打家劫舍的事來奪取生存資源。但是為了謀取亞吉王的信任，大衛雖然劫殺的都是異國地區，像基述人、基色人、亞瑪力人之地，但是大衛卻必須將該地人口完全勦滅，不留活口，而且大衛還須要編造謊言，告訴亞吉王，他所劫殺的地區，是屬於以色列人所居住的猶大的南方、耶拉篾的南方、基尼的南方。大衛用這個計謀，來爭取亞吉王的信任。我們在此看到的是，大衛為了自己以及跟隨他的六百人與眷屬的生計，所作所為實在無法榮神益人。舊約聖經在此只是忠實記下大衛在目前處境下面的作為。求主幫助我，能夠從大衛的生平中，學到我該學的屬靈功課。也讓我知道，大衛雖然是合神心意的人，還是有他的軟弱與缺點。

題目: 大衛因怕掃羅再追殺他，跑到非利士地，投奔亞吉王。但為了取於亞吉王，他選擇欺騙的方式(v8-12)。試想，大衛為圓這謊，又作了哪些事情？我們在生活中，曾否陷入與大衛相似的情境，而需面對是否說謊的選擇？
27:1 大衛心裡說：「必有一日我死在掃羅手裡，不如逃奔非利士地去。掃羅見我不在以色列的境內，就必絕望，不再尋索我；這樣我可以脫離他的手。」
And David said in his heart, "I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul; there is nothing better for me than that I should escape to the land of the Philistines; then Saul will despair of seeking me any longer within the borders of Israel, and I shall escape out of his hand."
27:2 於是大衛起身，和跟隨他的六百人投奔迦特王─瑪俄的兒子亞吉去了。
So David arose and went over, he and the six hundred men who were with him, to A'chish the son of Ma'och, king of Gath.
27:3 大衛和他的兩個妻，就是耶斯列人亞希暖和作過拿八妻的迦密人亞比該，並跟隨他的人，連各人的眷屬，都住在迦特的亞吉那裡。
And David dwelt with A'chish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, and David with his two wives, Ahin'o-am of Jezreel, and Ab'igail of Carmel, Nabal's widow.
27:4 有人告訴掃羅說：「大衛逃到迦特。」掃羅就不再尋索他了。
And when it was told Saul that David had fled to Gath, he sought for him no more.
27:5 大衛對亞吉說：「我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你在京外的城邑中賜我一個地方居住。僕人何必與王同住京都呢？」
Then David said to A'chish, "If I have found favor in your eyes, let a place be given me in one of the country towns, that I may dwell there; for why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?"
27:6 當日亞吉將洗革拉賜給他，因此洗革拉屬猶大王，直到今日。
So that day A'chish gave him Ziklag; therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day.
27:7 大衛在非利士地住了一年零四個月。
And the number of the days that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a year and four months.
27:8 大衛和跟隨他的人上去，侵奪基述人、基色人、亞瑪力人之地。這幾族歷來住在那地，從書珥直到埃及。
Now David and his men went up, and made raids upon the Gesh'urites, the Gir'zites, and the Amal'ekites; for these were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as far as Shur, to the land of Egypt.
27:9 大衛擊殺那地的人，無論男女都沒有留下一個，又奪獲牛、羊、駱駝、驢，並衣服，回來見亞吉。
And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, but took away the sheep, the oxen, the asses, the camels, and the garments, and came back to A'chish.
27:10 亞吉說：「你們今日侵奪了甚麼地方呢？」大衛說：「侵奪了猶大的南方、耶拉篾的南方、基尼的南方。」
When A'chish asked, "Against whom have you made a raid today?" David would say, "Against the Negeb of Judah," or "Against the Negeb of the Jerah'meelites," or, "Against the Negeb of the Ken'ites."
27:11 無論男女，大衛沒有留下一個帶到迦特來。他說：「恐怕他們將我們的事告訴人，說大衛住在非利士地的時候常常這樣行。」
And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, thinking, "Lest they should tell about us, and say, `So David has done.'" Such was his custom all the while he dwelt in the country of the Philistines.
27:12 亞吉信了大衛，心裡說：「大衛使本族以色列人憎惡他，所以他必永遠作我的僕人了。」
And A'chish trusted David, thinking, "He has made himself utterly abhorred by his people Israel; therefore he shall be my servant always."

經文: 撒母耳記上 26:1-2 西弗人到基比亞見掃羅，說：「大衛不是在曠野前的哈基拉山藏著嗎？」掃羅就起身，帶領以色列人中挑選的三千精兵下到西弗的曠野，要在那裡尋索大衛。

默想: 大衛不知如何得罪西弗人，或是西弗人只是希望找機會，向掃羅王表示忠誠，經過上一次西弗人去向掃羅王告密，讓掃羅王可以帶兵前往瑪雲曠野追殺大衛。那一次危機耶和華是興起非利士人入侵以色列，逼得掃羅王只號暫時放下追殺大衛的事，去處理非利士人的入侵。然後，掃羅又回到隱基底的曠野，繼續追殺大衛。耶和華卻讓掃羅躲到山洞大解時，不小心而被躲在山洞深處的大衛割下了外袍的衣襟。掃羅雖然當場感到非常慚愧，並向大衛致歉而離去，暫時不再追殺大衛。那裡知道，經過一段時間之後，西弗人又來向掃羅王獻上讒言，密告大衛藏身之處。掃羅忘記了他不久之前曾經向大衛承諾不再追殺他，又出動大軍，前往西弗曠野哈基拉山區去尋索大衛。這一次掃羅王學乖了，不再獨自一個隨處大解，以免再陷入險境。掃羅是把自己擺在重重關卡的輜重營當中睡覺。那裡知道，耶和華卻讓這些負責保護掃羅王安全的禁衛軍，從小兵到大將軍押尼珥，以及掃羅王自己，都沉沉入睡，以致於讓大衛與跟隨他的勇士亞比篩兩個人很輕易的就滲透進入掃羅王的輜重營區，甚至長驅直入，走到掃羅王睡覺的地方。亞比篩把這種情境解讀為耶和華賞賜給大衛可以向掃羅王報仇的機會，並且建議大衛，由他出手，只要一槍就可以讓掃羅王一命嗚呼哀哉、魂歸西天。大衛可以不必自己動手。但是，大衛在此還是堅持他的道德與信仰原則，不可殺死耶和華的受膏者。寧可讓耶和華親自來處理掃羅王的生死問題。只是要亞比篩拿走掃羅王的槍與水瓶就走了。等到大衛與亞比篩已經走到安全距離，大衛才大聲呼叫將軍押尼珥，指責他沒有盡忠保護掃羅王，並向掃羅王顯示他手中所有原屬於掃羅王的槍與水瓶。這是上帝再一次警告掃羅王，但是，掃羅王似乎並沒有從這兩次的警告事件中學到寶貴的屬靈功課。求主幫助我，能夠在上帝的警告或懲戒當中，謙卑的學習寶貴的屬靈功課。

題目: 掃羅帶精兵三千到西弗曠野搜尋大衛，大衛得知後，在夜裡來到掃羅營裡，只取走掃羅的矛與水罐。機會再次出現，大衛卻說「我不肯伸手害耶和華的受膏者，耶和華必照各人的公義誠實報應他。」試問，對於大衛這樣的態度，你有何想法？
26:1 西弗人到基比亞見掃羅，說：「大衛不是在曠野前的哈基拉山藏著嗎？」
Then the Ziphites came to Saul at Gib'e-ah, saying, "Is not David hiding himself on the hill of Hachi'lah, which is on the east of Jeshi'mon?"
26:2 掃羅就起身，帶領以色列人中挑選的三千精兵下到西弗的曠野，要在那裡尋索大衛。
So Saul arose and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, with three thousand chosen men of Israel, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.
26:3 掃羅在曠野前的哈基拉山，在道路上安營。大衛住在曠野，聽說掃羅到曠野來追尋他，
And Saul encamped on the hill of Hachi'lah, which is beside the road on the east of Jeshi'mon. But David remained in the wilderness; and when he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness,
26:4 就打發人去探聽，便知道掃羅果然來到。
David sent out spies, and learned of a certainty that Saul had come.
26:5 大衛起來，到掃羅安營的地方，看見掃羅和他的元帥尼珥的兒子押尼珥睡臥之處；掃羅睡在輜重營裡，百姓安營在他周圍。
Then David rose and came to the place where Saul had encamped; and David saw the place where Saul lay, with Abner the son of Ner, the commander of his army; Saul was lying within the encampment, while the army was encamped around him.
26:6 大衛對赫人亞希米勒和洗魯雅的兒子約押的兄弟亞比篩說：「誰同我下到掃羅營裡去？」亞比篩說：「我同你下去。」
Then David said to Ahim'elech the Hittite, and to Jo'ab's brother Abi'shai the son of Zeru'iah, "Who will go down with me into the camp to Saul?" And Abi'shai said, "I will go down with you."
26:7 於是大衛和亞比篩夜間到了百姓那裡，見掃羅睡在輜重營裡；他的槍在頭旁，插在地上。押尼珥和百姓睡在他周圍。
So David and Abi'shai went to the army by night; and there lay Saul sleeping within the encampment, with his spear stuck in the ground at his head; and Abner and the army lay around him.
26:8 亞比篩對大衛說：「現在　神將你的仇敵交在你手裡，求你容我拿槍將他刺透在地，一刺就成，不用再刺。」
Then said Abi'shai to David, "God has given your enemy into your hand this day; now therefore let me pin him to the earth with one stroke of the spear, and I will not strike him twice."
26:9 大衛對亞比篩說：「不可害死他。有誰伸手害耶和華的受膏者而無罪呢？」
But David said to Abi'shai, "Do not destroy him; for who can put forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless?"
26:10 大衛又說：「我指著永生的耶和華起誓，他或被耶和華擊打，或是死期到了，或是出戰陣亡；
And David said, "As the LORD lives, the LORD will smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle and perish.
26:11 我在耶和華面前，萬不敢伸手害耶和華的受膏者。現在你可以將他頭旁的槍和水瓶拿來，我們就走。」
The LORD forbid that I should put forth my hand against the LORD'S anointed; but take now the spear that is at his head, and the jar of water, and let us go."
26:12 大衛從掃羅的頭旁拿了槍和水瓶，二人就走了，沒有人看見，沒有人知道，也沒有人醒起，都睡著了，因為耶和華使他們沉沉地睡了。
So David took the spear and the jar of water from Saul's head; and they went away. No man saw it, or knew it, nor did any awake; for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from the LORD had fallen upon them.
26:13 大衛過到那邊去，遠遠地站在山頂上，與他們相離甚遠。
Then David went over to the other side, and stood afar off on the top of the mountain, with a great space between them;
26:14 大衛呼叫百姓和尼珥的兒子押尼珥說：「押尼珥啊，你為何不答應呢？」押尼珥說：「你是誰？竟敢呼叫王呢？」
and David called to the army, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, "Will you not answer, Abner?" Then Abner answered, "Who are you that calls to the king?"
26:15 大衛對押尼珥說：「你不是個勇士嗎？以色列中誰能比你呢？民中有人進來要害死王─你的主，你為何沒有保護王─你的主呢？
And David said to Abner, "Are you not a man? Who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not kept watch over your lord the king? For one of the people came in to destroy the king your lord.
26:16 你這樣是不好的！我指著永生的耶和華起誓，你們都是該死的；因為沒有保護你們的主，就是耶和華的受膏者。現在你看看王頭旁的槍和水瓶在哪裡。」
This thing that you have done is not good. As the LORD lives, you deserve to die, because you have not kept watch over your lord, the LORD'S anointed. And now see where the king's spear is, and the jar of water that was at his head."
26:17 掃羅聽出是大衛的聲音，就說：「我兒大衛，這是你的聲音嗎？」大衛說：「主─我的王啊，是我的聲音」；
Saul recognized David's voice, and said, "Is this your voice, my son David?" And David said, "It is my voice, my lord, O king."
26:18 又說：「我做了甚麼？我手裡有甚麼惡事？我主竟追趕僕人呢？
And he said, "Why does my lord pursue after his servant? For what have I done? What guilt is on my hands?
26:19 求我主我王聽僕人的話：若是耶和華激發你攻擊我，願耶和華收納祭物；若是人激發你，願他在耶和華面前受咒詛；因為他現今趕逐我，不容我在耶和華的產業上有分，說：『你去事奉別神吧！』
Now therefore let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is the LORD who has stirred you up against me, may he accept an offering; but if it is men, may they be cursed before the LORD, for they have driven me out this day that I should have no share in the heritage of the LORD, saying, `Go, serve other gods.'
26:20 現在求王不要使我的血流在離耶和華遠的地方。以色列王出來是尋找一個虼蚤，如同人在山上獵取一個鷓鴣一般。」
Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth away from the presence of the LORD; for the king of Israel has come out to seek my life, like one who hunts a partridge in the mountains."
26:21 掃羅說：「我有罪了！我兒大衛，你可以回來，因你今日看我的性命為寶貴；我必不再加害於你。我是糊塗人，大大錯了。」
Then Saul said, "I have done wrong; return, my son David, for I will no more do you harm, because my life was precious in your eyes this day; behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly."
26:22 大衛說：「王的槍在這裡，可以吩咐一個僕人過來拿去。
And David made answer, "Here is the spear, O king! Let one of the young men come over and fetch it.
26:23 今日耶和華將王交在我手裡，我卻不肯伸手害耶和華的受膏者。耶和華必照各人的公義誠實報應他。
The LORD rewards every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD gave you into my hand today, and I would not put forth my hand against the LORD'S anointed.
26:24 我今日重看你的性命，願耶和華也重看我的性命，並且拯救我脫離一切患難。」
Behold, as your life was precious this day in my sight, so may my life be precious in the sight of the LORD, and may he deliver me out of all tribulation."
26:25 掃羅對大衛說：「我兒大衛，願你得福！你必做大事，也必得勝。」於是大衛起行，掃羅回他的本處去了。
Then Saul said to David, "Blessed be you, my son David! You will do many things and will succeed in them." So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

經文: 撒母耳記上 25:39 大衛聽見拿八死了，就說：「應當稱頌耶和華，因他伸了拿八羞辱我的冤，又阻止僕人行惡；也使拿八的惡歸到拿八的頭上。」於是大衛打發人去，與亞比該說，要娶他為妻。

默想: 我們在上一章才看到大衛寧可等候耶和華來為他伸冤，也不親手加害耶和華所膏抹的掃羅王。但是在這一章裡面，我們看到大衛的軟弱與衝動。大衛由於掃羅王的追殺，在曠野中四處流浪，又有六百個人追隨他，要維持這六百個人生存的所需，不是一件容易的事。看來大衛有點兒像目前在菜市場常會看到的，由黑道自己圈定保護圈，不許其他黑道人士進來騷擾這些商家，但是，這位黑道人士會期待這些被他劃入他的保護圈的商家，會按時給他保護費。大衛當年所處的社會情境，或許也有類似的狀況。那裡知道，這一次大衛差遣手下，去向當地一位富商收取保護費時，不只沒有收到期待中的保護費，反而被拿巴羞辱洗臉刮了鬍子。這一次，或許拿巴並非耶和華所親自膏抹的人，或許踩到了大衛的痛點。大衛的反應是非常衝動，除了留下兩百個人看守家當之外，其餘四百個人都配刀上陣，要立刻去向拿巴報仇雪恥。還好拿巴有一位深識大體的妻子亞比該，當她聽見這件危機時，立刻當機立斷，準備豐厚的禮數與食物，趕去送給殺氣騰騰的大衛以及跟隨他的四百個人。亞比該並且用很謙卑的態度以及智慧的言語，及時勸阻大衛，讓大衛沒有因為一時衝動，就濫殺拿巴全家的男丁。由此可見，大衛還是一個罪人，在被刺激衝動時，還是有可能會犯罪。還有上帝也會藉著在當代不被重視的婦女亞比該，向大衛提出可以挽回大衛免於犯罪的建議。大衛雖然衝動，但是他還可以聽進去亞比該的勸告。後來拿巴知道實情而驚嚇過度而暴斃之後，大衛由於很欣賞亞比該的聰慧，就迎娶初為寡婦的亞比該為妻。求主幫助我，在衝動時要謹言慎行，更願意傾聽別人的善意規勸，以免在衝動之下做出不討神喜悅的事來得罪上帝。

題目: 箴言說「人口中的言語如同深水，智慧的泉源好像湧流的河水。」(18:4)水可載舟亦可覆舟，拿八所說的話招來殺身之禍，亞比該的行動及言語卻如泉源澆灌，拯救了全家。試問如何能讓自己的言語如金蘋果落在銀網子裡？
25:1 撒母耳死了，以色列眾人聚集，為他哀哭，將他葬在拉瑪─他自己的墳墓（原文是房屋）裡。大衛起身，下到巴蘭的曠野。
Now Samuel died; and all Israel assembled and mourned for him, and they buried him in his house at Ramah. Then David rose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.
25:2 在瑪雲有一個人，他的產業在迦密，是一個大富戶，有三千綿羊，一千山羊；他正在迦密剪羊毛。
And there was a man in Ma'on, whose business was in Carmel. The man was very rich; he had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. He was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
25:3 那人名叫拿八，是迦勒族的人；他的妻名叫亞比該，是聰明俊美的婦人。拿八為人剛愎凶惡。
Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Ab'igail. The woman was of good understanding and beautiful, but the man was churlish and ill-behaved; he was a Calebite.
25:4 大衛在曠野聽見說拿八剪羊毛，
David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep.
25:5 大衛就打發十個僕人，吩咐他們說：「你們上迦密去見拿八，提我的名問他安。
So David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, "Go up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.
25:6 要對那富戶如此說：『願你平安，願你家平安，願你一切所有的都平安。
And thus you shall salute him: `Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.
25:7 現在我聽說有人為你剪羊毛，你的牧人在迦密的時候和我們在一處，我們沒有欺負他們，他們也未曾失落甚麼。
I hear that you have shearers; now your shepherds have been with us, and we did them no harm, and they missed nothing, all the time they were in Carmel.
25:8 可以問你的僕人，他們必告訴你。所以願我的僕人在你眼前蒙恩，因為是在好日子來的。求你隨手取點賜與僕人和你兒子大衛。』」
Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes; for we come on a feast day. Pray, give whatever you have at hand to your servants and to your son David.'"
25:9 大衛的僕人到了，將這話提大衛的名都告訴了拿八，就住了口。
When David's young men came, they said all this to Nabal in the name of David; and then they waited.
25:10 拿八回答大衛的僕人說：「大衛是誰？耶西的兒子是誰？近來悖逆主人奔逃的僕人甚多，
And Nabal answered David's servants, "Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who are breaking away from their masters.
25:11 我豈可將飲食和為我剪羊毛人所宰的肉給我不知道從哪裡來的人呢？」
Shall I take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men who come from I do not know where?"
25:12 大衛的僕人就轉身從原路回去，照這話告訴大衛。
So David's young men turned away, and came back and told him all this.
25:13 大衛向跟隨他的人說：「你們各人都要帶上刀！」眾人就都帶上刀，大衛也帶上刀。跟隨大衛上去的約有四百人，留下二百人看守器具。
And David said to his men, "Every man gird on his sword!" And every man of them girded on his sword; David also girded on his sword; and about four hundred men went up after David, while two hundred remained with the baggage.
25:14 有拿八的一個僕人告訴拿八的妻亞比該說：「大衛從曠野打發使者來問我主人的安，主人卻辱罵他們。
But one of the young men told Ab'igail, Nabal's wife, "Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he railed at them.
25:15 但是那些人待我們甚好；我們在田野與他們來往的時候，沒有受他們的欺負，也未曾失落甚麼。
Yet the men were very good to us, and we suffered no harm, and we did not miss anything when we were in the fields, as long as we went with them;
25:16 我們在他們那裡牧羊的時候，他們晝夜作我們的保障。
they were a wall to us both by night and by day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.
25:17 所以你當籌劃，看怎樣行才好；不然，禍患定要臨到我主人和他全家。他性情凶暴，無人敢與他說話。」
Now therefore know this and consider what you should do; for evil is determined against our master and against all his house, and he is so ill-natured that one cannot speak to him."
25:18 亞比該急忙將二百餅，兩皮袋酒，五隻收拾好了的羊，五細亞烘好了的穗子，一百葡萄餅，二百無花果餅，都馱在驢上，
Then Ab'igail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two skins of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched grain, and a hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on asses.
25:19 對僕人說：「你們前頭走，我隨著你們去。」這事她卻沒有告訴丈夫拿八。
And she said to her young men, "Go on before me; behold, I come after you." But she did not tell her husband Nabal.
25:20 亞比該騎著驢，正下山坡，見大衛和跟隨他的人從對面下來，亞比該就迎接他們。
And as she rode on the ass, and came down under cover of the mountain, behold, David and his men came down toward her; and she met them.
25:21 大衛曾說：「我在曠野為那人看守所有的，以致他一樣不失落，實在是徒然了！他向我以惡報善。
Now David had said, "Surely in vain have I guarded all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belonged to him; and he has returned me evil for good.
25:22 凡屬拿八的男丁，我若留一個到明日早晨，願　神重重降罰與我！」
God do so to David and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him."
25:23 亞比該見大衛，便急忙下驢，在大衛面前臉伏於地叩拜，
When Ab'igail saw David, she made haste, and alighted from the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed to the ground.
25:24 俯伏在大衛的腳前，說：「我主啊，願這罪歸我！求你容婢女向你進言，更求你聽婢女的話。
She fell at his feet and said, "Upon me alone, my lord, be the guilt; pray let your handmaid speak in your ears, and hear the words of your handmaid.
25:25 我主不要理這壞人拿八，他的性情與他的名相稱；他名叫拿八（就是愚頑的意思），他為人果然愚頑。但我主所打發的僕人，婢女並沒有看見。
Let not my lord regard this ill-natured fellow, Nabal; for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him; but I your handmaid did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent.
25:26 我主啊，耶和華既然阻止你親手報仇，取流血的罪，所以我指著永生的耶和華，又敢在你面前起誓說：『願你的仇敵和謀害你的人都像拿八一樣。』
Now then, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, seeing the LORD has restrained you from bloodguilt, and from taking vengeance with your own hand, now then let your enemies and those who seek to do evil to my lord be as Nabal.
25:27 如今求你將婢女送來的禮物給跟隨你的僕人。
And now let this present which your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord.
25:28 求你饒恕婢女的罪過。耶和華必為我主建立堅固的家，因我主為耶和華爭戰；並且在你平生的日子查不出有甚麼過來。
Pray forgive the trespass of your handmaid; for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD; and evil shall not be found in you so long as you live.
25:29 雖有人起來追逼你，尋索你的性命，你的性命卻在耶和華─你的　神那裡蒙保護，如包裹寶器一樣；你仇敵的性命，耶和華必拋去，如用機弦甩石一樣。
If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the LORD your God; and the lives of your enemies he shall sling out as from the hollow of a sling.
25:30 我主現在若不親手報仇流無辜人的血，到了耶和華照所應許你的話賜福與你，立你作以色列的王，那時我主必不致心裡不安，覺得良心有虧。耶和華賜福與我主的時候，求你記念婢女。」
And when the LORD has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you prince over Israel,
25:31 併於上節
my lord shall have no cause of grief, or pangs of conscience, for having shed blood without cause or for my lord taking vengeance himself. And when the LORD has dealt well with my lord, then remember your handmaid."
25:32 大衛對亞比該說：「耶和華─以色列的　神是應當稱頌的，因為他今日使你來迎接我。
And David said to Ab'igail, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me!
25:33 你和你的見識也當稱讚；因為你今日攔阻我親手報仇、流人的血。
Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from avenging myself with my own hand!
25:34 我指著阻止我加害於你的耶和華─以色列永生的　神起誓，你若不速速地來迎接我，到明日早晨，凡屬拿八的男丁必定不留一個。」
For as surely as the LORD the God of Israel lives, who has restrained me from hurting you, unless you had made haste and come to meet me, truly by morning there had not been left to Nabal so much as one male."
25:35 大衛受了亞比該送來的禮物，就對她說：「我聽了你的話，准了你的情面，你可以平平安安地回家吧！」
Then David received from her hand what she had brought him; and he said to her, "Go up in peace to your house; see, I have hearkened to your voice, and I have granted your petition."
25:36 亞比該到拿八那裡，見他在家裡設擺筵席，如同王的筵席；拿八快樂大醉。亞比該無論大小事都沒有告訴他，就等到次日早晨。
And Ab'igail came to Nabal; and, lo, he was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk; so she told him nothing at all until the morning light.
25:37 到了早晨，拿八醒了酒，他的妻將這些事都告訴他，他就魂不附體，身僵如石頭一般。
And in the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.
25:38 過了十天，耶和華擊打拿八，他就死了。
And about ten days later the LORD smote Nabal; and he died.
25:39 大衛聽見拿八死了，就說：「應當稱頌耶和華，因他伸了拿八羞辱我的冤，又阻止僕人行惡；也使拿八的惡歸到拿八的頭上。」於是大衛打發人去，與亞比該說，要娶她為妻。
When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, "Blessed be the LORD who has avenged the insult I received at the hand of Nabal, and has kept back his servant from evil; the LORD has returned the evil-doing of Nabal upon his own head." Then David sent and wooed Ab'igail, to make her his wife.
25:40 大衛的僕人到了迦密見亞比該，對她說：「大衛打發我們來見你，想要娶你為妻。」
And when the servants of David came to Ab'igail at Carmel, they said to her, "David has sent us to you to take you to him as his wife."
25:41 亞比該就起來，俯伏在地，說：「我情願作婢女，洗我主僕人的腳。」
And she rose and bowed with her face to the ground, and said, "Behold, your handmaid is a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord."
25:42 亞比該立刻起身，騎上驢，帶著五個使女，跟從大衛的使者去了，就作了大衛的妻。
And Ab'igail made haste and rose and mounted on an ass, and her five maidens attended her; she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.
