經文: 撒母耳記上 12:5-7 撒母耳對他們說：「你們在我手裡沒有找著什麼，有耶和華和他的受膏者今日為證。」他們說：「願他為證。」撒母耳對百姓說：「從前立摩西、亞倫，又領你們列祖出埃及地的是耶和華。現在你們要站住，等我在耶和華面前對你們講論耶和華向你們和你們列祖所行一切公義的事。
默想: 撒母耳年老髮白，他也已經遵照耶和華的吩咐，經過一段很長的過程，為以色列人立了掃羅為第一任君王。現在到了撒母耳要公開退休的時刻。他就聚集以色列人，公開要求以色列人宣告撒母耳這一生被耶和華挑選，擔任以色列人的士師，是身手清白，從來沒有濫權枉法的不義。然後，撒母耳再次教導以色列民，雖然耶和華最後也容讓以色列人，為他們設立掃羅為王。但是，以色列人與掃羅王千萬不可忘記，是耶和華差遣摩西與亞倫，拯救以色列民脫離埃及為奴之地，帶領以色列人進入迦南地，戰勝迦南人的許多國王。撒母耳又當眾禱告，求耶和華顯出在收割麥子時期打雷下雨的天氣奇蹟，讓以色列人知道，不可離棄耶和華。求主保守我，讓我一生服侍你是身手清白的，讓我不放棄為你所託付的人代禱。
題目: 撒母耳臨別贈言：「…你們若敬畏上主…你們就平安。你們若不聽從上主…他就要攻擊你們…」並以打雷和下雨來確認這話出於上主，以色列民的歷史一再告誡以色列民的平安與否，在於他們是否遵守上主的話，試想，在我們信仰生活中，「平安」是否也繫在與上主的關係上？
12:1 撒母耳對以色列眾人說：「你們向我所求的，我已應允了，為你們立了一個王；
And Samuel said to all Israel, "Behold, I have hearkened to your voice in all that you have said to me, and have made a king over you.
12:2 現在有這王在你們前面行。我已年老髮白，我的兒子都在你們這裡。我從幼年直到今日都在你們前面行。
And now, behold, the king walks before you; and I am old and gray, and behold, my sons are with you; and I have walked before you from my youth until this day.
12:3 我在這裡，你們要在耶和華和他的受膏者面前給我作見證。我奪過誰的牛，搶過誰的驢，欺負過誰，虐待過誰，從誰手裡受過賄賂因而眼瞎呢？若有，我必償還。」
Here I am; testify against me before the LORD and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose ass have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? Testify against me and I will restore it to you."
12:4 眾人說：「你未曾欺負我們，虐待我們，也未曾從誰手裡受過甚麼。」
They said, "You have not defrauded us or oppressed us or taken anything from any man's hand."
12:5 撒母耳對他們說：「你們在我手裡沒有找著甚麼，有耶和華和他的受膏者今日為證。」他們說：「願他為證。」
And he said to them, "The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand." And they said, "He is witness."
12:6 撒母耳對百姓說：「從前立摩西、亞倫，又領你們列祖出埃及地的是耶和華。
And Samuel said to the people, "The LORD is witness, who appointed Moses and Aaron and brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
12:7 現在你們要站住，等我在耶和華面前對你們講論耶和華向你們和你們列祖所行一切公義的事。
Now therefore stand still, that I may plead with you before the LORD concerning all the saving deeds of the LORD which he performed for you and for your fathers.
12:8 從前雅各到了埃及，後來你們列祖呼求耶和華，耶和華就差遣摩西、亞倫領你們列祖出埃及，使他們在這地方居住。
When Jacob went into Egypt and the Egyptians oppressed them, then your fathers cried to the LORD and the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, who brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.
12:9 他們卻忘記耶和華─他們的 神，他就把他們付與夏瑣將軍西西拉的手裡，和非利士人並摩押王的手裡。於是這些人常來攻擊他們。
But they forgot the LORD their God; and he sold them into the hand of Sis'era, commander of the army of Jabin king of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them.
12:10 他們就呼求耶和華說：『我們離棄耶和華，事奉巴力和亞斯她錄，是有罪了。現在求你救我們脫離仇敵的手，我們必事奉你。』
And they cried to the LORD, and said, `We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served the Ba'als and the Ash'taroth; but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.'
12:11 耶和華就差遣耶路巴力、比但、耶弗他、撒母耳救你們脫離四圍仇敵的手，你們才安然居住。
And the LORD sent Jerubba'al and Barak, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you dwelt in safety.
12:12 你們見亞捫人的王拿轄來攻擊你們，就對我說：『我們定要一個王治理我們。』其實耶和華─你們的 神是你們的王。
And when you saw that Nahash the king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, `No, but a king shall reign over us,' when the LORD your God was your king.
12:13 現在，你們所求所選的王在這裡。看哪，耶和華已經為你們立王了。
And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the LORD has set a king over you.
12:14 你們若敬畏耶和華，事奉他，聽從他的話，不違背他的命令，你們和治理你們的王也都順從耶和華─你們的 神就好了。
If you will fear the LORD and serve him and hearken to his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the LORD your God, it will be well;
12:15 倘若不聽從耶和華的話，違背他的命令，耶和華的手必攻擊你們，像從前攻擊你們列祖一樣。
but if you will not hearken to the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the hand of the LORD will be against you and your king.
12:16 現在你們要站住，看耶和華在你們眼前要行一件大事。
Now therefore stand still and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
12:17 這不是割麥子的時候嗎？我求告耶和華，他必打雷降雨，使你們又知道又看出，你們求立王的事是在耶和華面前犯大罪了。」
Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call upon the LORD, that he may send thunder and rain; and you shall know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking for yourselves a king."
12:18 於是撒母耳求告耶和華，耶和華就在這日打雷降雨，眾民便甚懼怕耶和華和撒母耳。
So Samuel called upon the LORD, and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
12:19 眾民對撒母耳說：「求你為僕人們禱告耶和華─你的 神，免得我們死亡，因為我們求立王的事正是罪上加罪了。」
And all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for ourselves a king."
12:20 撒母耳對百姓說：「不要懼怕！你們雖然行了這惡，卻不要偏離耶和華，只要盡心事奉他。
And Samuel said to the people, "Fear not; you have done all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;
12:21 若偏離耶和華去順從那不能救人的虛神是無益的。
and do not turn aside after vain things which cannot profit or save, for they are vain.
12:22 耶和華既喜悅選你們作他的子民，就必因他的大名不撇棄你們。
For the LORD will not cast away his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people for himself.
12:23 至於我，斷不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華。我必以善道正路指教你們。
Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you; and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
12:24 只要你們敬畏耶和華，誠誠實實地盡心事奉他，想念他向你們所行的事何等大。
Only fear the LORD, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
12:25 你們若仍然作惡，你們和你們的王必一同滅亡。」
But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king."
And Samuel said to all Israel, "Behold, I have hearkened to your voice in all that you have said to me, and have made a king over you.
12:2 現在有這王在你們前面行。我已年老髮白，我的兒子都在你們這裡。我從幼年直到今日都在你們前面行。

12:16 現在你們要站住，看耶和華在你們眼前要行一件大事。
Now therefore stand still and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.

「你們若敬畏耶和華，事奉他，聽從他的話，不違背他的命令，你們和治理你們的王也都順從耶和華你們的神就好了。倘若不聽從耶和華的話，違背他的命令，耶和華的手必攻擊你們，像從前攻擊你們列祖一樣」。（撒上 12:14-15）
回覆刪除撒上 12:13-18節，這段經文來看：撒母耳已對以色列眾人表明：「立王」是不大好的事情，可是神並沒有放棄他們，王與人民都要同樣地順從神（14節）。許多帝王忘記了這點，登基後目中無神，像暴君一般地治理人民，不過最終他們是沒有一個能逃避神的追討的。那麼我們應該怎樣做呢？答案便是：「你們若敬畏耶和華，事奉他，聽從他的話，不違背他的命令，你們和治理你們的王也都順從耶和華你們的神就好了」。（撒上 12:14）
求主幫助我們，仔細思想這些字：「你們若敬畏耶和華，事奉他，聽從他的話，不違背他的命令」，表示我們必須常常與上帝，我們的神，要有「相交」（「 κοινωνία [koinonia /koy•nohn•ee•ah/] to share in. Fellowship with, participation, the pledge of communion . 「相交」在此就是有團契的生活。我們必須與神相交,與神家裡的人彼此相交； 在一個愛的團契，彼此鼓勵，扶持， 與神同行，行在光明中，討神的喜悅，充滿喜樂。若這樣，我們在信仰生活上與主有親密的關係，與弟兄姐妹有好的團契生活，誠實地認自己的罪（約壹1:9～10節&約壹2:1～2節），遵守主命令（約壹2:3~6節); 彼此相愛（約壹2:10~11節); 不要愛世界（約壹2:15~17節)。感謝神！讓我們在愛的團契裡，彼此相交，行在光明中，自然生活有力，充滿喜樂與平安。
