W2 2013-04-30 (詩篇1-3)3:1 （大衛逃避他兒子押沙龍的時候作的詩。）耶和華啊，我的敵人何其加增；有許多人起來攻擊我。
3:2 有許多人議論我說：他得不著　神的幫助。（細拉）
3:3 但你─耶和華是我四圍的盾牌，是我的榮耀，又是叫我抬起頭來的。
3:4 我用我的聲音求告耶和華，他就從他的聖山上應允我。（細拉）
3:5 我躺下睡覺，我醒著，耶和華都保佑我。
3:6 雖有成萬的百姓來周圍攻擊我，我也不怕。
3:7 耶和華啊，求你起來！我的　神啊，求你救我！因為你打了我一切仇敵的腮骨，敲碎了惡人的牙齒。
3:8 救恩屬乎耶和華；願你賜福給你的百姓。（細拉）

默想: 大衛在逃避押沙龍的追殺，那時候的他陷入困境，生命危在旦夕。在他最危急之際他說「但你…」(3)這裡的「但你…」是大衛的信仰告白，他告白上帝是他四圍的盾牌，保護他不受一切攻擊。大衛相信，上帝有完全的保護，同時他也相信，當他求告時，上帝也必應允。這個「求告…應允」是大衛信仰告白的核心，因為他相信，上帝會照著祂所應允的約，垂聽他的呼求。所以不論睡覺或醒著，夜晚或白天，大衛都相信，上帝必保守他平安。不論仇敵有多少人起來圍繞攻擊他，他的心中都有平安。
當我們在客觀環境很艱難之際，有時候很容易陷入低潮、軟弱之中。但是大衛讓我們看到，他在艱難之時，乃是用心信宣告。宣告上帝是他的幫助與盾牌，大衛不讓環境擊倒他，反而在這種處境上，更深地倚靠神。我們呢？是否我們也能夠學習不看環境，只憑信心的功課？求神幫助我們，在各樣的處境中，都學會堅定地來依靠祂。

題目: 大衛在逃避兒子押沙龍追殺時，對耶和華有何認識與禱告呢？

 

3:1 （大衛逃避他兒子押沙龍的時候作的詩。）耶和華啊，我的敵人何其加增；有許多人起來攻擊我。
A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
3:2 有許多人議論我說：他得不著　神的幫助。（細拉）
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3:3 但你─耶和華是我四圍的盾牌，是我的榮耀，又是叫我抬起頭來的。
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. for: or, about
3:4 我用我的聲音求告耶和華，他就從他的聖山上應允我。（細拉）
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
3:5 我躺下睡覺，我醒著，耶和華都保佑我。
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
3:6 雖有成萬的百姓來周圍攻擊我，我也不怕。
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
3:7 耶和華啊，求你起來！我的　神啊，求你救我！因為你打了我一切仇敵的腮骨，敲碎了惡人的牙齒。
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
3:8 救恩屬乎耶和華；願你賜福給你的百姓。（細拉）

經文:
 3:6 弟兄們，我們奉主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，凡有弟兄不按規矩而行，不遵守從我們所受的教訓，就當遠離他。
3:7 你們自己原知道應當怎樣效法我們。因為我們在你們中間，未嘗不按規矩而行，
3:8 也未嘗白吃人的飯，倒是辛苦勞碌，晝夜做工，免得叫你們一人受累。
3:9 這並不是因我們沒有權柄，乃是要給你們作榜樣，叫你們效法我們。
3:10 我們在你們那裡的時候，曾吩咐你們說，若有人不肯做工，就不可吃飯。
3:11 因我們聽說，在你們中間有人不按規矩而行，甚麼工都不做，反倒專管閒事。
3:12 我們靠主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人，要安靜做工，吃自己的飯。


默想: 保羅在這裡留下一個好的榜樣，就是他是一個辛苦勞碌，畫夜工作的人，他凡事靠自己的工作，不是依靠人白吃人的飯，而來連累信徒。保羅的所行所為沒有是不按規矩來行的。同時保羅為人不濫用權柄，凡事謹慎，為信徒留下好的榜樣。同時保羅也用自己的榜樣來教導帖撒羅尼迦的教會，要他們凡事要按規矩而行，不可以當懶懶的人。不可以不按規而行、不可以白白吃飯，卻什麼事都不肯認真作，又整天好管閒事。這樣的態度是教會所不能容忍的。
我們也當思想自己的信仰表現是什麼？求神幫助我們，能夠教信仰團體中，成為一個好的榜樣，行事為人盡自己應盡的本分，好才為一個祝福別人的人，並且使人得著幫助。

題目: 使徒保羅在帖撒羅尼迦教會留下那些寶貴的教導與榜樣呢？

 

3:1 弟兄們，我還有話說：請你們為我們禱告，好叫主的道理快快行開，得著榮耀，正如在你們中間一樣，
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: have...: Gr. run
3:2 也叫我們脫離無理之惡人的手；因為人不都是有信心。
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. unreasonable: Gr. absurd
3:3 但主是信實的，要堅固你們，保護你們脫離那惡者（或譯：脫離凶惡）。
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
3:4 我們靠主深信，你們現在是遵行我們所吩咐的，後來也必要遵行。
And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
3:5 願主引導你們的心，叫你們愛　神，並學基督的忍耐！
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. patient...: or, patience of Christ
3:6 弟兄們，我們奉主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，凡有弟兄不按規矩而行，不遵守從我們所受的教訓，就當遠離他。
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
3:7 你們自己原知道應當怎樣效法我們。因為我們在你們中間，未嘗不按規矩而行，
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
3:8 也未嘗白吃人的飯，倒是辛苦勞碌，晝夜做工，免得叫你們一人受累。
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
3:9 這並不是因我們沒有權柄，乃是要給你們作榜樣，叫你們效法我們。
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
3:10 我們在你們那裡的時候，曾吩咐你們說，若有人不肯做工，就不可吃飯。
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
3:11 因我們聽說，在你們中間有人不按規矩而行，甚麼工都不做，反倒專管閒事。
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
3:12 我們靠主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人，要安靜做工，吃自己的飯。
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
3:13 弟兄們，你們行善不可喪志。
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. be...: or, faint not
3:14 若有人不聽從我們這信上的話，要記下他，不和他交往，叫他自覺羞愧。
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. by...: or, signify that man by an epistle
3:15 但不要以他為仇人，要勸他如弟兄。
Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
3:16 願賜平安的主隨時隨事親自給你們平安！願主常與你們眾人同在！
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
3:17 我─保羅親筆問你們安。凡我的信都以此為記，我的筆跡就是這樣。
The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
3:18 願我們主耶穌基督的恩常與你們眾人同在！
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.

2:5 我還在你們那裡的時候，曾把這些事告訴你們，你們不記得嗎？
2:6 現在你們也知道，那攔阻他的是甚麼，是叫他到了的時候才可以顯露。
2:7 因為那不法的隱意已經發動，只是現在有一個攔阻的，等到那攔阻的被除去，
2:8 那時這不法的人必顯露出來。主耶穌要用口中的氣滅絕他，用降臨的榮光廢掉他。
2:9 這不法的人來，是照撒但的運動，行各樣的異能、神蹟，和一切虛假的奇事，
2:10 並且在那沉淪的人身上行各樣出於不義的詭詐；因他們不領受愛真理的心，使他們得救。
2:11 故此，　神就給他們一個生發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，
2:12 使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。

默想: 當主的日子來到之前，必然有離道叛教之事，並有那大罪人，顯露出來。保羅說，他是那「沉淪之子」，出來出來誘惑人的使人產生錯誤的認識，而走向錯誤的方向。這個不法之人，以前早就存在，只是在那個時機才會「顯露」。大罪人是指被撒但用來抵擋上帝的一個人物，高舉自己，自認為比上帝還要偉大，同時接受人的崇拜，篡奪上帝在人心中該有的地位。(一般我們會這種狀況視為異端，也就是在最後，有一個大異端會出現)
保羅在此再次地提醒帖撒羅尼迦的教會，因為當初在他被迫離開之前，就曾經教導他們有關主將再來的事，但是由於這些信徒信主的時間不長，在信仰的根基上不是那麼穩固，所以保羅再次地提醒他們，使他們在真道上能夠堅立。同時在這經文中，我們應該注意到，一個信徒信仰是否能穩固、行事為人，與他是否深刻了解主耶穌將要再來有深刻關係。若我們每天只是過著自己的生活，對忽略了主將再來，對終未缺乏了一種將要來到的感受。在信仰的追求上，生命的歷程中，是否會有停滯不前的狀況呢？

題目: 在主耶穌降臨之前，有一位不法之人會顯出來，並做出那些事呢？

 

2:1 弟兄們，論到我們主耶穌基督降臨和我們到他那裡聚集，
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, unto him: or, around him
2:2 我勸你們：無論有靈、有言語、有冒我名的書信，說主的日子現在（現在：或譯就）到了，不要輕易動心，也不要驚慌。
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2:3 人不拘用甚麼法子，你們總不要被他誘惑；因為那日子以前，必有離道反教的事，並有那大罪人，就是沉淪之子，顯露出來。
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2:4 他是抵擋主，高抬自己，超過一切稱為神的和一切受人敬拜的，甚至坐在　神的殿裡，自稱是　神。
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2:5 我還在你們那裡的時候，曾把這些事告訴你們，你們不記得嗎？
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6 現在你們也知道，那攔阻他的是甚麼，是叫他到了的時候才可以顯露。
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. withholdeth: or, holdeth
2:7 因為那不法的隱意已經發動，只是現在有一個攔阻的，等到那攔阻的被除去，
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let , until he be taken out of the way.
2:8 那時這不法的人必顯露出來。主耶穌要用口中的氣滅絕他，用降臨的榮光廢掉他。
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2:9 這不法的人來，是照撒但的運動，行各樣的異能、神蹟，和一切虛假的奇事，
Even him , whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2:10 並且在那沉淪的人身上行各樣出於不義的詭詐；因他們不領受愛真理的心，使他們得救。
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 故此，　神就給他們一個生發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2:13 主所愛的弟兄們哪，我們本該常為你們感謝　神；因為他從起初揀選了你們，叫你們因信真道，又被聖靈感動，成為聖潔，能以得救。
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
2:14 　神藉我們所傳的福音召你們到這地步，好得著我們主耶穌基督的榮光。
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2:15 所以，弟兄們，你們要站立得穩，凡所領受的教訓，不拘是我們口傳的，是信上寫的，都要堅守。
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2:16 但願我們主耶穌基督和那愛我們、開恩將永遠的安慰並美好的盼望賜給我們的父　神，
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2:17 安慰你們的心，並且在一切善行善言上堅固你們。

因你們信心格外增長，彼此相愛的心也都充足

W4 2013-04-25 (帖撒羅尼迦後書1) 

1:1 保羅、西拉、提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦、在　神─我們的父與主耶穌基督裡的教會。
1:2 願恩惠、平安從父　神和主耶穌基督歸與你們！
1:3 弟兄們，我們該為你們常常感謝　神，這本是合宜的；因你們的信心格外增長，並且你們眾人彼此相愛的心也都充足。
1:4 甚至我們在　神的各教會裡為你們誇口，都因你們在所受的一切逼迫患難中，仍舊存忍耐和信心。
1:5 這正是　神公義判斷的明證，叫你們可算配得　神的國；你們就是為這國受苦。

保羅與帖撒羅尼迦教會的兄姐分享，對於他們信心、愛心和忍耐有良好印象。因為他們「信心格外增長」且有彼此「相愛的心」。而且這個教會雖因為不斷的迫害帶來種種的匱乏的危機。但也是因為如此，信徒不但沒有因為這樣困難而失去信心，反而更加地有信心仰上帝，在缺乏之中，每個人不是「隨人顧性命」反而更激發出愛心，彼此相愛。正是因為如此，所以保羅為他們感到誇口(不是他們自己誇口)說他們「在所受的一切逼迫患難中，仍舊存忍耐和信心。」
保羅認為這些逼迫患難，不是上帝不理他們，反而是上帝公義判斷的明證。信徒不是白白受患難，他們是為了上帝的國來受苦，將來必會讓他們能夠得平安。
我們看見，雖然是在苦難之中，但是帖撒羅尼迦的教會，仍然活出了信心、愛心與忍耐的樣式。我們呢？求上帝幫助我們，面對我們的環境，我們能夠活出屬神的樣式，在順境、逆境中，都能感恩、依靠，使我們的信心、愛心更加增。

題目: 使徒保羅為帖撒羅尼迦教會的那些事來感謝神呢？

 

1:1 保羅、西拉、提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦、在　神─我們的父與主耶穌基督裡的教會。
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
1:2 願恩惠、平安從父　神和主耶穌基督歸與你們！
Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 弟兄們，我們該為你們常常感謝　神，這本是合宜的；因你們的信心格外增長，並且你們眾人彼此相愛的心也都充足。
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
1:4 甚至我們在　神的各教會裡為你們誇口，都因你們在所受的一切逼迫患難中，仍舊存忍耐和信心。
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
1:5 這正是　神公義判斷的明證，叫你們可算配得　神的國；你們就是為這國受苦。
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
1:6 　神既是公義的，就必將患難報應那加患難給你們的人，
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
1:7 也必使你們這受患難的人與我們同得平安。那時，主耶穌同他有能力的天使從天上在火焰中顯現，
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, his...: Gr. the angels of his power
1:8 要報應那不認識　神和那不聽從我主耶穌福音的人。
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: taking: or, yielding
1:9 他們要受刑罰，就是永遠沉淪，離開主的面和他權能的榮光。
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
1:10 這正是主降臨、要在他聖徒的身上得榮耀、又在一切信的人身上顯為希奇的那日子。我們對你們作的見證，你們也信了。
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
1:11 因此，我們常為你們禱告，願我們的　神看你們配得過所蒙的召，又用大能成就你們一切所羨慕的良善和一切因信心所做的工夫，
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: count: or, vouchsafe
1:12 叫我們主耶穌的名在你們身上得榮耀，你們也在他身上得榮耀，都照著我們的　神並主耶穌基督的恩。
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

42:1 約伯回答耶和華說：
42:2 我知道，你萬事都能做；你的旨意不能攔阻。
42:3 誰用無知的言語使你的旨意隱藏呢？我所說的是我不明白的；這些事太奇妙，是我不知道的。
42:4 求你聽我，我要說話；我問你，求你指示我。
42:5 我從前風聞有你，現在親眼看見你。
42:6 因此我厭惡自己（或譯：我的言語），在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。  

默想: 在約伯記中，約伯一直期待能夠與上帝面對面的理論，現在他的期望終於可以實現了。約伯想要知道，究竟什麼原因他會受苦。但是上帝卻沒有回答這個問的，只是責備約伯「你豈可妄論我不公平，豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義？」
上帝沒有解釋自己為何這樣做，只是顯明自己是智慧的源頭，約伯的三個朋友與約伯在爭論的也是誰是真正有智慧，誰知道苦難的背後原因。但是上帝顯明祂才是真正的智慧，沒有一個人有資格爭競，惟獨上帝是智慧的源頭，而他隨己意將智慧賜下，因此人最適合的回應，就是悔改與順服。正如約伯所說的：
我從前風聞有你，
    現在親眼看見你。
因此我厭惡自己，
    在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。(四十二5-6)
約伯與他的朋友辯論的時候，固然有道理，但是，他為自己對上帝缺乏耐心而真實地向上帝悔改。
對於約伯為何受苦的原因，上帝雖然沒有回答，卻回答了比受苦更重要的事----「智慧」。因為沒有人可以逃避苦難，雖然我們都很想知道自己遭受苦難的原因，我們以為這樣可以減少我們痛苦的原因。但是上帝似乎不告訴人類受苦的真正原因是什麼，只是很明顯地讓我們知道苦難不單單只是罪的報應。
犯罪會導致受苦，但是並不是所有的受苦都是因為犯罪。若不明白這個關係，等於是說，所有的苦難的來源都是因為犯罪，受苦成為犯罪的記號。這樣，約伯受苦，等於他犯了罪。但是約伯記的讀者都會知道約伯的苦難不是因為犯罪，而是他向上帝忠誠的試煉。我們當然不能將所有的苦難解釋成犯罪的結果，同時，我們也不能將苦難都理解成這是上帝對我們忠誠的試煉。事實上，面對苦難，最真實又敬虔的方式，就是承認我們不知道。我們不是上帝，沒有上帝的智慧與能力，我們實在無法解釋苦難為什麼臨到，但是我們承認上帝是有真正智慧的，這一切都在上帝的旨意與保守中。

題目:約伯在這一連串苦難中學到那些屬靈的功課呢？

 

42:1 約伯回答耶和華說：
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
42:2 我知道，你萬事都能做；你的旨意不能攔阻。
I know that thou canst do every thing , and that no thought can be withholden from thee. no thought can be...: or, no thought of thine can be hindered
42:3 誰用無知的言語使你的旨意隱藏呢？我所說的是我不明白的；這些事太奇妙，是我不知道的。
Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
42:4 求你聽我，我要說話；我問你，求你指示我。
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
42:5 我從前風聞有你，現在親眼看見你。
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
42:6 因此我厭惡自己（或譯：我的言語），在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。
Wherefore I abhor myself , and repent in dust and ashes.
42:7 耶和華對約伯說話以後，就對提幔人以利法說：「我的怒氣向你和你兩個朋友發作，因為你們議論我不如我的僕人約伯說的是。
And it was so , that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath .
42:8 現在你們要取七隻公牛，七隻公羊，到我僕人約伯那裡去，為自己獻上燔祭，我的僕人約伯就為你們祈禱。我因悅納他，就不按你們的愚妄辦你們。你們議論我，不如我的僕人約伯說的是。」
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. him: Heb. his face, or, person
42:9 於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法照著耶和華所吩咐的去行；耶和華就悅納約伯。
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job. Job: Heb. the face of Job
42:10 約伯為他的朋友祈禱。耶和華就使約伯從苦境（原文是擄掠）轉回，並且耶和華賜給他的比他從前所有的加倍。
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. gave...: Heb. added all that had been to Job unto the double
42:11 約伯的弟兄、姊妹，和以先所認識的人都來見他，在他家裡一同吃飯；又論到耶和華所降與他的一切災禍，都為他悲傷安慰他。每人也送他一塊銀子和一個金環。
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
42:12 這樣，耶和華後來賜福給約伯比先前更多。他有一萬四千羊，六千駱駝，一千對牛，一千母驢。
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
42:13 他也有七個兒子，三個女兒。
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
42:14 他給長女起名叫耶米瑪，次女叫基洗亞，三女叫基連•哈樸。
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
42:15 在那全地的婦女中找不著像約伯的女兒那樣美貌。她們的父親使她們在弟兄中得產業。
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
42:16 此後，約伯又活了一百四十年，得見他的兒孫，直到四代。
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
42:17 這樣，約伯年紀老邁，日子滿足而死。
So Job died, being old and full of days.

41:1 你能用魚鉤釣上鱷魚嗎？能用繩子壓下牠的舌頭嗎？
41:2 你能用繩索穿牠的鼻子嗎？能用鉤穿牠的腮骨嗎？
41:3 牠豈向你連連懇求，說柔和的話嗎？
41:4 豈肯與你立約，使你拿牠永遠作奴僕嗎？
41:5 你豈可拿牠當雀鳥玩耍嗎？豈可為你的幼女將牠拴住嗎？
41:6 搭夥的漁夫豈可拿牠當貨物嗎？能把牠分給商人嗎？
41:7 你能用倒鉤槍扎滿牠的皮，能用魚叉叉滿牠的頭嗎？
41:8 你按手在牠身上，想與牠爭戰，就不再這樣行吧！
41:9 人指望捉拿牠是徒然的；一見牠，豈不喪膽嗎？
41:10 沒有那麼兇猛的人敢惹牠。這樣，誰能在我面前站立得住呢？
41:11 誰先給我甚麼，使我償還呢？天下萬物都是我的。

默想: 這裡所指的鱷魚，可能是古代中傳說的海怪。上帝為什麼要向約伯提到這種動物呢？因為在9-11中說到，人無法捉拿這種動物，因為這種動物力大無窮，又非常可怕。上帝所造的鱷魚尚且如此可怕，沒有人敢動它一根汗毛，那麼，誰敢在那裡吵著要與上帝爭辯呢？這是上帝對約伯的指責，因為約伯曾經一直想要與上帝爭辯。上帝提醒約伯，誰能夠在我的面前站立得住呢？人若若連上帝所造的鱷魚都沒有辦法有一點點的控制，那又怎麼能夠希望上帝必須有義務要對他特別好。而且約伯先前一再地要求，要上帝出來「認真」地審問他，約伯自認為只要他和上帝公開辯論一審，上帝必定會還他公平。但是上帝沒有為他評理的義務，因為祂不欠任何受造者的債。
上帝用鱷魚提醒約伯，這個宇宙萬物都是祂所造的，像鱷魚如此巨大力氣的動物，沒有人可以制服得了它，人都不敢在它的面前「亂亂來」那麼人算什麼呢？還想要在上帝的面前爭論嗎？還要與上帝比較誰是公義嗎？實在是沒有看清楚自己什麼？

題目: 耶和華在本章中特別用鱷魚來描述耶和華的那些特徵呢？

 

41:1 你能用魚鉤釣上鱷魚嗎？能用繩子壓下牠的舌頭嗎？
Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? leviathan: probably an extinct animal of some kind which...: Heb. which thou drownest?
41:2 你能用繩索穿牠的鼻子嗎？能用鉤穿牠的腮骨嗎？
Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
41:3 牠豈向你連連懇求，說柔和的話嗎？
Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
41:4 豈肯與你立約，使你拿牠永遠作奴僕嗎？
Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
41:5 你豈可拿牠當雀鳥玩耍嗎？豈可為你的幼女將牠拴住嗎？
Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
41:6 搭夥的漁夫豈可拿牠當貨物嗎？能把牠分給商人嗎？
Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
41:7 你能用倒鉤槍扎滿牠的皮，能用魚叉叉滿牠的頭嗎？
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
41:8 你按手在牠身上，想與牠爭戰，就不再這樣行吧！
Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
41:9 人指望捉拿牠是徒然的；一見牠，豈不喪膽嗎？
Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
41:10 沒有那麼兇猛的人敢惹牠。這樣，誰能在我面前站立得住呢？
None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
41:11 誰先給我甚麼，使我償還呢？天下萬物都是我的。
Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
41:12 論到鱷魚的肢體和其大力，並美好的骨骼，我不能緘默不言。
I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
41:13 誰能剝牠的外衣？誰能進牠上下牙骨之間呢？
Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle? with: or, within
41:14 誰能開牠的腮頰？牠牙齒四圍是可畏的。
Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
41:15 牠以堅固的鱗甲為可誇，緊緊合閉，封得嚴密。
His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. scales: Heb. strong pieces of shields
41:16 這鱗甲一一相連，甚至氣不得透入其間，
One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
41:17 都是互相聯絡、膠結，不能分離。
They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
41:18 牠打噴嚏就發出光來；牠眼睛好像早晨的光線（原文是眼皮）。
By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
41:19 從牠口中發出燒著的火把，與飛迸的火星；
Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
41:20 從牠鼻孔冒出煙來，如燒開的鍋和點著的蘆葦。
Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
41:21 牠的氣點著煤炭，有火焰從牠口中發出。
His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
41:22 牠頸項中存著勁力；在牠面前的都恐嚇蹦跳。
In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. is turned into joy: Heb. rejoiceth
41:23 牠的肉塊互相聯絡，緊貼其身，不能搖動。
The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. flakes: Heb. fallings
41:24 牠的心結實如石頭，如下磨石那樣結實。
His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone .
41:25 牠一起來，勇士都驚恐，心裡慌亂，便都昏迷。
When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
41:26 人若用刀，用槍，用標槍，用尖槍扎牠，都是無用。
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. habergeon: or, breastplate
41:27 牠以鐵為乾草，以銅為爛木。
He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
41:28 箭不能恐嚇牠使牠逃避；彈石在牠看為碎秸。
The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
41:29 棍棒算為禾秸；牠嗤笑短槍颼的響聲。
Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
41:30 牠肚腹下如尖瓦片；牠如釘耙經過淤泥。
Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. Sharp stones: Heb. Sharp pieces of potsherd
41:31 牠使深淵開滾如鍋，使洋海如鍋中的膏油。
He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.
41:32 牠行的路隨後發光，令人想深淵如同白髮。
He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
41:33 在地上沒有像牠造的那樣，無所懼怕。
Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. is made without fear: or, behave themselves without fear
41:34 凡高大的，牠無不藐視；牠在驕傲的水族上作王。
He beholdeth all high things : he is a king over all the children of pride.

40:8 你豈可廢棄我所擬定的？豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義嗎？
40:9 你有　神那樣的膀臂嗎？你能像他發雷聲嗎？
40:10 你要以榮耀莊嚴為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴為衣服；
40:11 要發出你滿溢的怒氣，見一切驕傲的人，使他降卑；
40:12 見一切驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人踐踏在本處；
40:13 將他們一同隱藏在塵土中，把他們的臉蒙蔽在隱密處；
40:14 我就認你右手能以救自己。 

默想: 上帝問約伯「你豈可廢棄我所擬定定的？豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義嗎？」接著，上帝所講述的，是關於約伯記的核心。第一就是，人對自然世界並沒有管治的能力。事實上約伯並沒有什麼能夠能掌管這個自然的世界。約伯也沒有辦法讓這整個宇宙運行的更地更美好。再來，人雖然對惡者的作為充滿義怒，常常覺得不公義、沒有公平，想要申冤或替天行道，但是，人往往在申張正義的時候，卻陷入以惡報惡，從報惡變為行惡的惡人。上帝問約伯，乃是在提醒他，人是如此地不完全，人的怒氣並不會成就公義的事。只有上帝才有足夠的能力來掌管這個宙宇的世界，才有能夠使惡變為善。上帝是掌管這個世界的上帝，祂讓所發生的每一件事都在祂的攝理之下，也讓每一件事都有祂美好的旨意。 

題目: 耶和華在本章經文中向約伯啟示神的那些本性呢？

 

40:1 耶和華又對約伯說：
Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
40:2 強辯的豈可與全能者爭論嗎？與　神辯駁的可以回答這些吧！
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him ? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
40:3 於是，約伯回答耶和華說：
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
40:4 我是卑賤的！我用甚麼回答你呢？只好用手摀口。
Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
40:5 我說了一次，再不回答；說了兩次，就不再說。
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
40:6 於是，耶和華從旋風中回答約伯說：
Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
40:7 你要如勇士束腰；我問你，你可以指示我。
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
40:8 你豈可廢棄我所擬定的？豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義嗎？
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
40:9 你有　神那樣的膀臂嗎？你能像他發雷聲嗎？
Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
40:10 你要以榮耀莊嚴為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴為衣服；
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
40:11 要發出你滿溢的怒氣，見一切驕傲的人，使他降卑；
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
40:12 見一切驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人踐踏在本處；
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
40:13 將他們一同隱藏在塵土中，把他們的臉蒙蔽在隱密處；
Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
40:14 我就認你右手能以救自己。
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
40:15 你且觀看河馬；我造你也造牠。牠吃草與牛一樣；
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. behemoth: probably an extinct animal of some kind
40:16 牠的氣力在腰間，能力在肚腹的筋上。
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
40:17 牠搖動尾巴如香柏樹；牠大腿的筋互相聯絡。
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. He...: or, He setteth up
40:18 牠的骨頭好像銅管；牠的肢體彷彿鐵棍。
His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
40:19 牠在　神所造的物中為首；創造牠的給牠刀劍。
He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him .
40:20 諸山給牠出食物，也是百獸遊玩之處。
Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
40:21 牠伏在蓮葉之下，臥在蘆葦隱密處和水窪子裡。
He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
40:22 蓮葉的陰涼遮蔽牠；溪旁的柳樹環繞牠。
The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
40:23 河水泛濫，牠不發戰；就是約旦河的水漲到牠口邊，也是安然。
Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. he drinketh up: Heb. he oppresseth
40:24 在牠防備的時候，誰能捉拿牠？誰能牢籠牠穿牠的鼻子呢？
He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares. He...: or, Will any take him in his sight, or, bore his nose with a gin?

38:2 誰用無知的言語使我的旨意暗昧不明？
38:3 你要如勇士束腰；我問你，你可以指示我。
38:4 我立大地根基的時候，你在哪裡呢？你若有聰明，只管說吧！
38:5 你若曉得就說，是誰定地的尺度？是誰把準繩拉在其上？
38:6 地的根基安置在何處？地的角石是誰安放的？
38:7 那時，晨星一同歌唱；　神的眾子也都歡呼。
38:8 海水衝出，如出胎胞，那時誰將它關閉呢？
38:9 是我用雲彩當海的衣服，用幽暗當包裹它的布，
38:10 為它定界限，又安門和閂，
38:11 說：你只可到這裡，不可越過；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。
38:12 你自生以來，曾命定晨光，使清晨的日光知道本位，
38:13 叫這光普照地的四極，將惡人從其中驅逐出來嗎？
38:14 因這光，地面改變如泥上印印，萬物出現如衣服一樣。

默想: 經過一連串約伯與朋友間的對話之後，上帝終於說話了。在我們第一次讀約伯的時候，我們不免會想，上帝究竟要站在那一邊？上帝如何看待約伯的苦難？苦難對約伯有何意義呢？祂要如何向約伯說明發生在他身上的事呢？
結果，我們看到上帝的回答，完全沒有掉到這個侷限中。上帝沒有為約伯辯護，也不是解決他與朋友間的爭端，上帝乃是顯示祂自己。祂沒有向約伯解釋他受苦的原因，也沒有有說明，為什麼惡人會興旺而義人卻常常受苦。上帝也沒有闡明惡人將來的下場與最終義人如何得到平反。上帝只有向約伯顯示祂自己。祂的全能、全知與善良。上帝用這種啟示自己的方法來回答約伯的問題。
上帝沒有說明什麼，也不解釋什麼，只是讓約伯能夠更深地認識祂。當約伯了解上帝的全知、全能與奇妙的作為，約伯的困惑就消失了。
上帝一開始對約伯說：「我問你，你可以指示我。」上帝問起約伯許多自己無力回答的問題，而不是回答為何他受苦的原因。以祂大能的作為，使約伯認識到自己的無識和愚蠢。約伯在上帝的問題中，發現自己極其有限，無知，他完全招架不住上帝所提的問題。透過這樣，約伯深刻地感受到，上帝和自己完全的不同，從而加深了對上帝的敬畏與認識。

題目: 你對於耶和華向約伯所說的第一句話有何感想呢？

 

38:1 那時，耶和華從旋風中回答約伯說：
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
38:2 誰用無知的言語使我的旨意暗昧不明？
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
38:3 你要如勇士束腰；我問你，你可以指示我。
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. answer...: Heb. make me know
38:4 我立大地根基的時候，你在哪裡呢？你若有聰明，只管說吧！
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. hast...: Heb. knowest understanding
38:5 你若曉得就說，是誰定地的尺度？是誰把準繩拉在其上？
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
38:6 地的根基安置在何處？地的角石是誰安放的？
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; foundations: Heb. sockets fastened: Heb. made to sink?
38:7 那時，晨星一同歌唱；　神的眾子也都歡呼。
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
38:8 海水衝出，如出胎胞，那時誰將它關閉呢？
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
38:9 是我用雲彩當海的衣服，用幽暗當包裹它的布，
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
38:10 為它定界限，又安門和閂，
And brake up for it my decreed place , and set bars and doors, brake...: or, established my decree upon it
38:11 說：你只可到這裡，不可越過；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。

38:12 你自生以來，曾命定晨光，使清晨的日光知道本位，
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
38:13 叫這光普照地的四極，將惡人從其中驅逐出來嗎？
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? ends: Heb. wings
38:14 因這光，地面改變如泥上印印，萬物出現如衣服一樣。
It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
38:15 亮光不照惡人；強橫的膀臂也必折斷。
And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.
38:16 你曾進到海源，或在深淵的隱密處行走嗎？
Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
38:17 死亡的門曾向你顯露嗎？死蔭的門你曾見過嗎？
Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
38:18 地的廣大你能明透嗎？你若全知道，只管說吧！
Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
38:19 光明的居所從何而至？黑暗的本位在於何處？
Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
38:20 你能帶到本境，能看明其室之路嗎？
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof? to the bound: or, at, etc
38:21 你總知道，因為你早已生在世上，你日子的數目也多。
Knowest thou it , because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
38:22 你曾進入雪庫，或見過雹倉嗎？
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
38:23 這雪雹乃是我為降災，並打仗和爭戰的日子所預備的。
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
38:24 光亮從何路分開？東風從何路分散遍地？
By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
38:25 誰為雨水分道？誰為雷電開路？
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
38:26 使雨降在無人之地、無人居住的曠野？
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
38:27 使荒廢淒涼之地得以豐足，青草得以發生？
To satisfy the desolate and waste ground ; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
38:28 雨有父嗎？露水珠是誰生的呢？
Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
38:29 冰出於誰的胎？天上的霜是誰生的呢？
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
38:30 諸水堅硬（或譯：隱藏）如石頭；深淵之面凝結成冰。
The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. is...: Heb. is taken
38:31 你能繫住昴星的結嗎？能解開參星的帶嗎？
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Pleiades: or, the seven stars: Heb. Cimah Orion: Heb. Cesil?
38:32 你能按時領出十二宮嗎？能引導北斗和隨它的眾星（星：原文是子）嗎？
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Mazzaroth: or, the twelve signs guide: Heb. guide them
38:33 你知道天的定例嗎？能使地歸在天的權下嗎？
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
38:34 你能向雲彩揚起聲來，使傾盆的雨遮蓋你嗎？
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
38:35 你能發出閃電，叫它行去，使它對你說：我們在這裡？
Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are ? Here...: Heb. Behold us?
38:36 誰將智慧放在懷中？誰將聰明賜於心內？
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
38:37 誰能用智慧數算雲彩呢？塵土聚集成團，土塊緊緊結連；那時，誰能傾倒天上的瓶呢？
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, stay: Heb. cause to lie down

When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together? groweth...: or, is turned into mire: Heb. is poured
38:39 母獅子在洞中蹲伏，少壯獅子在隱密處埋伏；你能為牠們抓取食物，使牠們飽足嗎？
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions, the appetite: Heb. the life

When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
38:41 烏鴉之雛因無食物飛來飛去，哀告　神；那時，誰為牠預備食物呢？
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
