30:19 神把我扔在淤泥中，我就像塵土和爐灰一般。
30:20 主啊，我呼求你，你不應允我；我站起來，你就定睛看我。
30:21 你向我變心，待我殘忍，又用大能追逼我，
30:22 把我提在風中，使我駕風而行，又使我消滅在烈風中。
30:23 我知道要使我臨到死地，到那為眾生所定的陰宅。
30:24 然而，人仆倒豈不伸手？遇災難豈不求救呢？
30:25 人遭難，我豈不為他哭泣呢？人窮乏，我豈不為他憂愁呢？
30:26 我仰望得好處，災禍就到了；我等待光明，黑暗便來了。
30:27 我心裡煩擾不安，困苦的日子臨到我身。
30:28 我沒有日光就哀哭行去（或譯：我面發黑並非因日曬）；我在會中站著求救。
30:29 我與野狗為弟兄，與鴕鳥為同伴。
30:30 我的皮膚黑而脫落；我的骨頭因熱燒焦。
30:31 所以，我的琴音變為悲音；我的簫聲變為哭聲。
默想: 約伯從昔日的榮景變成今日的慘況，如此的轉變讓約伯感受人生的浮雲蒼狗，不免悲泣涕流。先前約伯受到上流社會人人的尊敬，而今卻被眾人所瞧不起，甚至他的朋友都出言來指責他，使得他心靈受創。他成為笑談，被人侮辱，苦待，被毫不留情地攻擊，這些來自昔日友人的指責，讓他受創甚深，甚至死亡的驚恐佔據他的心靈。
除了被人看輕瞧不起之外，約伯覺得他痛苦的主要原因，是上帝「把他扔在淤泥中」(三十19)卻又不肯聽他的呼求(三十20)他內心感覺，上帝此時已經「向他變了心，殘忍地追逼他」，想要致他於死地之中(三十21-22)他無論怎麼向上帝禱告，上帝卻總是不聽，約伯仰望得好處，災禍就到了；約伯等待光明，黑暗便來了。以前認為的「善有善報」、「禱告必蒙拯救」這些最基本的「真理」如今都不管用了。這約伯過往的信念，如今卻崩解了，他的內心覺得痛苦、絕望。
另外一個痛苦的事，是他他在苦難中，所遭受到不公義的對待。他覺得當別人受到患難，會向其他人求援，而他總是伸手援助別人(三十24-25)，但是，當災禍發生在自己的身上時，卻不是這樣。上帝不幫他；他的朋友，也不肯聽他的解釋，更惶論幫助他。自己在災禍中的冤情無處申訴，卻又被孤立、遺棄、拒絕、擊打。約伯的內心發出對這個世界、甚至對上帝痛苦的吶喊「你們對我太不公平了」！！！
題目: 約伯說，主啊，我呼求你，你不應允我；我站起來，你就定睛看我。你對此有何感想呢？
30:1 但如今，比我年少的人戲笑我；其人之父我曾藐視，不肯安在看守我羊群的狗中。
But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock. younger...: Heb. of fewer days than I
30:2 他們壯年的氣力既已衰敗，其手之力與我何益呢？
Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?
30:3 他們因窮乏飢餓，身體枯瘦，在荒廢淒涼的幽暗中，齦乾燥之地，
For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste. solitary: or, dark as the night in...: Heb. yesternight
30:4 在草叢之中採鹹草，羅騰（小樹名，松類）的根為他們的食物。
Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat.
30:5 他們從人中被趕出；人追喊他們如賊一般，
They were driven forth from among men , (they cried after them as after a thief;)
30:6 以致他們住在荒谷之間，在地洞和巖穴中；
To dwell in the clifts of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks. caves: Heb. holes
30:7 在草叢中叫喚，在荊棘下聚集。
Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.
30:8 這都是愚頑下賤人的兒女；他們被鞭打，趕出境外。
They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth. base...: Heb. men of no name
30:9 現在這些人以我為歌曲，以我為笑談。
And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
30:10 他們厭惡我，躲在旁邊站著，不住地吐唾沫在我臉上。
They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. and...: Heb. and withhold not spittle from
30:11 鬆開他們的繩索苦待我，在我面前脫去轡頭。
Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
30:12 這等下流人在我右邊起來，推開我的腳，築成戰路來攻擊我。
Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
30:13 這些無人幫助的，毀壞我的道，加增我的災。
They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
30:14 他們來如同闖進大破口，在毀壞之間滾在我身上。
They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters : in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me .
30:15 驚恐臨到我，驅逐我的尊榮如風；我的福祿如雲過去。
Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud. my soul: Heb. my principal one
30:16 現在我心極其悲傷；困苦的日子將我抓住。
And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
30:17 夜間，我裡面的骨頭刺我，疼痛不止，好像齦我。
My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
30:18 因 神的大力，我的外衣污穢不堪，又如裡衣的領子將我纏住。
By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
30:19 神把我扔在淤泥中，我就像塵土和爐灰一般。
He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.
30:20 主啊，我呼求你，你不應允我；我站起來，你就定睛看我。
I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not .
30:21 你向我變心，待我殘忍，又用大能追逼我，
Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me. become...: Heb. turned to be cruel thy...: Heb. the strength of thy hand
30:22 把我提在風中，使我駕風而行，又使我消滅在烈風中。
Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it , and dissolvest my substance. substance: or, wisdom
30:23 我知道要使我臨到死地，到那為眾生所定的陰宅。
For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.
30:24 然而，人仆倒豈不伸手？遇災難豈不求救呢？
Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction. grave: Heb. heap
30:25 人遭難，我豈不為他哭泣呢？人窮乏，我豈不為他憂愁呢？
Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor? in trouble: Heb. hard of day?
30:26 我仰望得好處，災禍就到了；我等待光明，黑暗便來了。
When I looked for good, then evil came unto me : and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
30:27 我心裡煩擾不安，困苦的日子臨到我身。
My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.
30:28 我沒有日光就哀哭行去（或譯：我面發黑並非因日曬）；我在會中站著求救。
I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
30:29 我與野狗為弟兄，與鴕鳥為同伴。
I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. owls: or, ostriches
30:30 我的皮膚黑而脫落；我的骨頭因熱燒焦。
My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
30:31 所以，我的琴音變為悲音；我的簫聲變為哭聲。
My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
