7:10 看哪，有一個婦人來迎接他，是妓女的打扮，有詭詐的心思。
7:11 這婦人喧嚷，不守約束，在家裡停不住腳，
7:12 有時在街市上，有時在寬闊處，或在各巷口蹲伏，
7:13 拉住那少年人，與他親嘴，臉無羞恥對他說：
7:14 平安祭在我這裡，今日才還了我所許的願。
7:15 因此，我出來迎接你，懇切求見你的面，恰巧遇見了你。
7:16 我已經用繡花毯子和埃及線織的花紋布鋪了我的床。
7:17 我又用沒藥、沉香、桂皮薰了我的榻。
7:18 你來，我們可以飽享愛情，直到早晨；我們可以彼此親愛歡樂。
7:19 因為我丈夫不在家，出門行遠路；
7:20 他手拿銀囊，必到月望才回家。
7:21 淫婦用許多巧言誘他隨從，用諂媚的嘴逼他同行。
7:22 少年人立刻跟隨她，好像牛往宰殺之地；又像愚昧人帶鎖鍊去受刑罰，
7:23 直等箭穿他的肝；如同雀鳥急入網羅，卻不知是自喪己命。
7:24 眾子啊，現在要聽從我，留心聽我口中的話。
7:25 你的心不可偏向淫婦的道，不要入她的迷途。
7:26 因為，被她傷害仆倒的不少；被她殺戮的而且甚多。
7:27 她的家是在陰間之路，下到死亡之宮。

默想: 
在這段經文中，我們看到，情色的陷井往往是充滿美好、溫暖又誘人的。它主動、被動的接近人、等候人、引誘人，用行動、話語、美好的情境吸引人。一但年輕人把持不住，就落入了這樣的陷井裡。
箴言的作者，認為落入情色的陷井，如同掉入死亡的陷井，被傷害、殺戮的人不計其數。所以，他要我們避免這樣的引誘，如同避免險境。而避免這引誘的方式，就是牢記警戒的話語(箴言)，就是把上帝的話語放在我們的心中，成為我們的心思意念，若我們有明確的價值、思想，才能拒絕短暫享樂的引誘，同時避免罪惡所帶來的最終傷害。

 

7:1 我兒，你要遵守我的言語，將我的命令存記在心。
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
7:2 遵守我的命令就得存活；保守我的法則（或譯：指教），好像保守眼中的瞳人，
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
7:3 繫在你指頭上，刻在你心版上。
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
7:4 對智慧說：你是我的姊妹，稱呼聰明為你的親人，
Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
7:5 她就保你遠離淫婦，遠離說諂媚話的外女。
That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
7:6 我曾在我房屋的窗戶內，從我窗欞之間往外觀看：
For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
7:7 見愚蒙人內，少年人中，分明有一個無知的少年人，
And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, the youths: Heb. the sons
7:8 從街上經過，走近淫婦的巷口，直往通她家的路去，
Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
7:9 在黃昏，或晚上，或半夜，或黑暗之中。
In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: in the evening: Heb. in the evening of days
7:10 看哪，有一個婦人來迎接他，是妓女的打扮，有詭詐的心思。
And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
7:11 這婦人喧嚷，不守約束，在家裡停不住腳，
(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
7:12 有時在街市上，有時在寬闊處，或在各巷口蹲伏，
Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
7:13 拉住那少年人，與他親嘴，臉無羞恥對他說：
So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, with...: Heb. she strengthened her face and said
7:14 平安祭在我這裡，今日才還了我所許的願。
I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. I have...: Heb. Peace offerings are upon me
7:15 因此，我出來迎接你，懇切求見你的面，恰巧遇見了你。
Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
7:16 我已經用繡花毯子和埃及線織的花紋布鋪了我的床。
I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works , with fine linen of Egypt.
7:17 我又用沒藥、沉香、桂皮薰了我的榻。
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
7:18 你來，我們可以飽享愛情，直到早晨；我們可以彼此親愛歡樂。
Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
7:19 因為我丈夫不在家，出門行遠路；
For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
7:20 他手拿銀囊，必到月望才回家。
He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. with...: Heb. in his hand the day...: or, the new moon
7:21 淫婦用許多巧言誘他隨從，用諂媚的嘴逼他同行。
With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
7:22 少年人立刻跟隨她，好像牛往宰殺之地；又像愚昧人帶鎖鍊去受刑罰，
He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; straightway: Heb. suddenly
7:23 直等箭穿他的肝；如同雀鳥急入網羅，卻不知是自喪己命。
Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
7:24 眾子啊，現在要聽從我，留心聽我口中的話。
Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
7:25 你的心不可偏向淫婦的道，不要入她的迷途。
Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
7:26 因為，被她傷害仆倒的不少；被她殺戮的而且甚多。
For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
7:27 她的家是在陰間之路，下到死亡之宮。
Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

6:16 耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，連他心所憎惡的共有七樣：
6:17 就是高傲的眼，撒謊的舌，流無辜人血的手，
6:18 圖謀惡計的心，飛跑行惡的腳，
6:19 吐謊言的假見證，並弟兄中布散紛爭的人。

默想: 高傲的眼、撒謊的舌、流無辜人血的手，圖謀惡心的計，飛跑行惡的腳、吐謊言的假見證並弟兄中布散紛爭的人。耶和華所恨惡的七項事，有一個共同的特點，就是行這些事人的心中沒有上帝。若我們的心中真的相信有上帝，真的敬畏神，真的以上帝的話語為我們生命的價值，我們不會以做這些事為喜樂，甚至內心會逃避、厭惡做這些事。信仰不是對聖經有高深的學問或對神學奧秘有深刻的研究，而是我們的生命活出什麼。
求神幫助我們，讓我們能夠時常省查自己，看看我們的所言所行所思當中，我們的行事為人是做一個上帝所愛的呢？或是做上帝所恨惡的事呢？

題目: 耶和華所恨惡的有那七樣呢？你對此有何看法呢？

 

6:1 我兒，你若為朋友作保，替外人擊掌，
My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,
6:2 你就被口中的話語纏住，被嘴裡的言語捉住。
Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
6:3 我兒，你既落在朋友手中，就當這樣行才可救自己：你要自卑，去懇求你的朋友。
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend. and make...: or, so shalt thou prevail with thy friend
6:4 不要容你的眼睛睡覺；不要容你的眼皮打盹。
Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.
6:5 要救自己，如鹿脫離獵戶的手，如鳥脫離捕鳥人的手。
Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter , and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6:6 懶惰人哪，你去察看螞蟻的動作就可得智慧。
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
6:7 螞蟻沒有元帥，沒有官長，沒有君王，
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
6:8 尚且在夏天預備食物，在收割時聚斂糧食。
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
6:9 懶惰人哪，你要睡到幾時呢？你何時睡醒呢？
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
6:10 再睡片時，打盹片時，抱著手躺臥片時，
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
6:11 你的貧窮就必如強盜速來，你的缺乏彷彿拿兵器的人來到。
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
6:12 無賴的惡徒，行動就用乖僻的口，
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
6:13 用眼傳神，用腳示意，用指點劃，
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
6:14 心中乖僻，常設惡謀，布散紛爭。
Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. soweth: Heb. casteth forth
6:15 所以，災難必忽然臨到他身；他必頃刻敗壞，無法可治。
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
6:16 耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，連他心所憎惡的共有七樣：
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: unto...: Heb. of his soul
6:17 就是高傲的眼，撒謊的舌，流無辜人血的手，
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A proud...: Heb. Haughty eyes
6:18 圖謀惡計的心，飛跑行惡的腳，
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
6:19 吐謊言的假見證，並弟兄中布散紛爭的人。
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
6:20 我兒，要謹守你父親的誡命；不可離棄你母親的法則（或譯：指教），
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
6:21 要常繫在你心上，掛在你項上。
Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
6:22 你行走，它必引導你；你躺臥，它必保守你；你睡醒，它必與你談論。
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
6:23 因為誡命是燈，法則（或譯：指教）是光，訓誨的責備是生命的道，
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: lamp: or, candle
6:24 能保你遠離惡婦，遠離外女諂媚的舌頭。
To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman. of the...: or, of the strange tongue
6:25 你心中不要戀慕她的美色，也不要被她眼皮勾引。
Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
6:26 因為，妓女能使人只剩一塊餅；淫婦獵取人寶貴的生命。
For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. the adulteress: Heb. the woman of a man, or, a man's wife
6:27 人若懷裡搋火，衣服豈能不燒呢？
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
6:28 人若在火炭上走，腳豈能不燙呢？
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
6:29 親近鄰舍之妻的，也是如此；凡挨近她的，不免受罰。
So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
6:30 賊因飢餓偷竊充飢，人不藐視他，
Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
6:31 若被找著，他必賠還七倍，必將家中所有的盡都償還。
But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
6:32 與婦人行淫的，便是無知；行這事的，必喪掉生命。
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. understanding: Heb. heart
6:33 他必受傷損，必被凌辱；他的羞恥不得塗抹。
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
6:34 因為人的嫉恨成了烈怒，報仇的時候決不留情。
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
6:35 甚麼贖價，他都不顧；你雖送許多禮物，他也不肯干休。
He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts. He will...: Heb. He will not accept the face of any ransom

 5:7 眾子啊，現在要聽從我；不可離棄我口中的話。
5:8 你所行的道要離她遠，不可就近她的房門，
5:9 恐怕將你的尊榮給別人，將你的歲月給殘忍的人；
5:10 恐怕外人滿得你的力量，你勞碌得來的，歸入外人的家；
5:11 終久，你皮肉和身體消毀，你就悲歎，
5:12 說：我怎麼恨惡訓誨，心中藐視責備，
5:13 也不聽從我師傅的話，又不側耳聽那教訓我的人？

默想: 箴言的作者教導他的讀者，要避免自己陷入不正當的兩性關係。最好的方式就是「遠離」，若是不能做到抗拒這樣的誘惑，其結果就是失去自己的尊榮；把自己的的歲月給殘忍的人，並且讓外人得著你的力量；勞碌所力的歸與外人。除了這些物質、精神的損失外，終久身體消毀，內心悲歎。
不正常的兩性關係，雖然一開始帶給人某種愉悅，但是，終究到最後，是對家庭、親人的虧欠。同時，不正常的兩性關係，到最後，帶來的是關係上更大的不滿足，失去了對親人正直無偽的愛，那更是關係上最大的損失。

題目: 根據本章經文，在兩性關係開放混亂的人，會遭遇那些痛苦呢？

 

5:1 我兒，要留心我智慧的話語，側耳聽我聰明的言詞，
My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
5:2 為要使你謹守謀略，嘴唇保存知識。
That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
5:3 因為淫婦的嘴滴下蜂蜜；她的口比油更滑，
For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: mouth: Heb. palate
5:4 至終卻苦似茵蔯，快如兩刃的刀。
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
5:5 她的腳下入死地；她腳步踏住陰間，
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
5:6 以致她找不著生命平坦的道。她的路變遷不定，自己還不知道。
Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them .
5:7 眾子啊，現在要聽從我；不可離棄我口中的話。
Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
5:8 你所行的道要離她遠，不可就近她的房門，
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
5:9 恐怕將你的尊榮給別人，將你的歲月給殘忍的人；
Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
5:10 恐怕外人滿得你的力量，你勞碌得來的，歸入外人的家；
Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; thy wealth: Heb. thy strength
5:11 終久，你皮肉和身體消毀，你就悲歎，
And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
5:12 說：我怎麼恨惡訓誨，心中藐視責備，
And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
5:13 也不聽從我師傅的話，又不側耳聽那教訓我的人？
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
5:14 我在聖會裡，幾乎落在諸般惡中。
I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
5:15 你要喝自己池中的水，飲自己井裡的活水。
Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
5:16 你的泉源豈可漲溢在外？你的河水豈可流在街上？
Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.
5:17 惟獨歸你一人，不可與外人同用。
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
5:18 要使你的泉源蒙福；要喜悅你幼年所娶的妻。
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
5:19 她如可愛的麀鹿，可喜的母鹿；願她的胸懷使你時時知足，她的愛情使你常常戀慕。
Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. satisfy...: Heb. water thee be thou...: Heb. err thou always in her love
5:20 我兒，你為何戀慕淫婦？為何抱外女的胸懷？
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
5:21 因為，人所行的道都在耶和華眼前；他也修平人一切的路。
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
5:22 惡人必被自己的罪孽捉住；他必被自己的罪惡如繩索纏繞。
His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. sins: Heb. sin
5:23 他因不受訓誨就必死亡；又因愚昧過甚，必走差了路。
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

箴言的作者教導我們，要保守我們的心，勝過保守一切，因為一生的果效是由心而發。心是我們行動的指引與根基。我們行為的果效也是由心來決定。我們讓什麼進入心中，並充滿內心，就決定我們如何抉擇。
我們要分辨清楚，是愛情還是情慾？是由神來的異象還是野心？是為了榮耀神或是為了滿足自己？省察我們的心，我們的動機是否有在正道上？願神保守我們。

題目：在本章經文中，除了保守我們的心之外，還要保守什麼呢？

 

4:1 眾子啊，要聽父親的教訓，留心得知聰明。
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
4:2 因我所給你們的是好教訓；不可離棄我的法則（或譯：指教）。
For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
4:3 我在父親面前為孝子，在母親眼中為獨一的嬌兒。
For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4:4 父親教訓我說：你心要存記我的言語，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
4:5 要得智慧，要得聰明，不可忘記，也不可偏離我口中的言語。
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
4:6 不可離棄智慧，智慧就護衛你；要愛她，她就保守你。
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
4:7 智慧為首；所以，要得智慧。在你一切所得之內必得聰明（或譯：用你一切所得的去換聰明）。
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
4:8 高舉智慧，她就使你高升；懷抱智慧，她就使你尊榮。
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
4:9 她必將華冠加在你頭上，把榮冕交給你。
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. a crown...: or, she shall compass thee with a crown of glory
4:10 我兒，你要聽受我的言語，就必延年益壽。
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
4:11 我已指教你走智慧的道，引導你行正直的路。
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
4:12 你行走，腳步必不致狹窄；你奔跑，也不致跌倒。
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
4:13 要持定訓誨，不可放鬆；必當謹守，因為它是你的生命。
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
4:14 不可行惡人的路；不要走壞人的道。
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men .
4:15 要躲避，不可經過；要轉身而去。
Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
4:16 這等人若不行惡，不得睡覺；不使人跌倒，睡臥不安；
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
4:17 因為他們以奸惡吃餅，以強暴喝酒。
For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
4:18 但義人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
4:19 惡人的道好像幽暗，自己不知因甚麼跌倒。
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
4:20 我兒，要留心聽我的言詞，側耳聽我的話語，
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
4:21 都不可離你的眼目，要存記在你心中。
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
4:22 因為得著它的，就得了生命，又得了醫全體的良藥。
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. health: Heb. medicine
4:23 你要保守你心，勝過保守一切（或譯：你要切切保守你心），因為一生的果效是由心發出。
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. with...: Heb. above all keeping
4:24 你要除掉邪僻的口，棄絕乖謬的嘴。
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. a froward...: Heb. frowardness of mouth and perverseness of lips
4:25 你的眼目要向前正看；你的眼睛（原文是皮）當向前直觀。
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
4:26 要修平你腳下的路，堅定你一切的道。
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. let...: or, all thy ways shall be ordered aright
4:27 不可偏向左右；要使你的腳離開邪惡。
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

3:27 你手若有行善的力量，不可推辭，就當向那應得的人施行。
3:28 你那裡若有現成的，不可對鄰舍說：去吧，明天再來，我必給你。
3:29 你的鄰舍既在你附近安居，你不可設計害他。
3:30 人未曾加害與你，不可無故與他相爭。
3:31 不可嫉妒強暴的人，也不可選擇他所行的路。
3:32 因為，乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡；正直人為他所親密。
3:33 耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭，賜福與義人的居所。
3:34 他譏誚那好譏誚的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。
3:35 智慧人必承受尊榮；愚昧人高升也成為羞辱。


經文: 
默想: 箴言教導我們對鄰舍必須是慷凱、熱心的，當別人有需要來尋求我們的時候，我們若有足夠的能力，不可推辭。要盡我們所能做的，盡力幫助別人。箴言教導我們，不能夠尋找藉口，故意不去幫助鄰舍，或是設計去陷害人。
用今天的角度來看，這些話不單是論及我們的鄰舍，更可以說是我們與同事、朋友的關係。在我們的工作中，有什麼是我們可以幫助同事，我們是否有推辭呢？我們會不會覺得幫助別人很麻煩，而故意用其他的理由來拒絕同事呢？
上帝要我們盡我們的能力去幫助別人，為的不是得到別人的回報、尊敬，甚至不一定是為了得到上帝的賞賜。(幫助別人上帝必紀念，但我們不是為了被紀念而幫助人)。對於我們而言，我們幫助別人，因為上帝是愛，所以我們學習愛人。不是為了得到賞賜，而是為了活出上帝的形象。

題目: 本章經文中，對於我們與鄰舍間的互動關係，有什麼建議呢？

 

3:1 我兒，不要忘記我的法則（或譯：指教）；你心要謹守我的誡命；
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
3:2 因為它必將長久的日子，生命的年數與平安，加給你。
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. long...: Heb. years of life
3:3 不可使慈愛、誠實離開你，要繫在你頸項上，刻在你心版上。
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
3:4 這樣，你必在　神和世人眼前蒙恩寵，有聰明。
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. good...: or, good success
3:5 你要專心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明，
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
3:6 在你一切所行的事上都要認定他，他必指引你的路。
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
3:7 不要自以為有智慧；要敬畏耶和華，遠離惡事。
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
3:8 這便醫治你的肚臍，滋潤你的百骨。
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. health: Heb. medicine marrow: Heb. watering, or, moistening
3:9 你要以財物和一切初熟的土產尊榮耶和華。
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
3:10 這樣，你的倉房必充滿有餘；你的酒醡有新酒盈溢。
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
3:11 我兒，你不可輕看耶和華的管教（或譯：懲治），也不可厭煩他的責備；
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
3:12 因為耶和華所愛的，他必責備，正如父親責備所喜愛的兒子。
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
3:13 得智慧，得聰明的，這人便為有福。
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. that getteth...: Heb. that draweth out understanding
3:14 因為得智慧勝過得銀子，其利益強如精金，
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
3:15 比珍珠（或譯：紅寶石）寶貴；你一切所喜愛的，都不足與比較。
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
3:16 她右手有長壽，左手有富貴。
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
3:17 她的道是安樂；她的路全是平安。
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
3:18 她與持守她的作生命樹；持定她的，俱各有福。
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
3:19 耶和華以智慧立地，以聰明定天，
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. established: or, prepared
3:20 以知識使深淵裂開，使天空滴下甘露。
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
3:21 我兒，要謹守真智慧和謀略，不可使她離開你的眼目。
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
3:22 這樣，她必作你的生命，頸項的美飾。
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
3:23 你就坦然行路，不致碰腳。
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
3:24 你躺下，必不懼怕；你躺臥，睡得香甜。
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
3:25 忽然來的驚恐，不要害怕；惡人遭毀滅，也不要恐懼。
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
3:26 因為耶和華是你所倚靠的；他必保守你的腳不陷入網羅。
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
3:27 你手若有行善的力量，不可推辭，就當向那應得的人施行。
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it . them...: Heb. the owners thereof
3:28 你那裡若有現成的，不可對鄰舍說：去吧，明天再來，我必給你。
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
3:29 你的鄰舍既在你附近安居，你不可設計害他。
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. Devise...: or, Practise no evil
3:30 人未曾加害與你，不可無故與他相爭。
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
3:31 不可嫉妒強暴的人，也不可選擇他所行的路。
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. the oppressor: Heb. a man of violence
3:32 因為，乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡；正直人為他所親密。
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
3:33 耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭，賜福與義人的居所。
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
3:34 他譏誚那好譏誚的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
3:35 智慧人必承受尊榮；愚昧人高升也成為羞辱。
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. shall be...: Heb. exalteth the fools
