W1 2013-12-02以賽亞書21
21:1 論海旁曠野的默示：有仇敵從曠野，從可怕之地而來，好像南方的旋風，猛然掃過。
21:2 令人悽慘的異象已默示於我。詭詐的行詭詐，毀滅的行毀滅。以攔哪，你要上去！米底亞啊，你要圍困！主說：我使一切歎息止住。
21:3 所以，我滿腰疼痛；痛苦將我抓住，好像產難的婦人一樣。我疼痛甚至不能聽；我驚惶甚至不能看。
21:4 我心慌張，驚恐威嚇我。我所羨慕的黃昏，變為我的戰兢。
21:5 他們擺設筵席，派人守望，又吃，又喝。首領啊，你們起來，用油抹盾牌。
21:6 主對我如此說：你去設立守望的，使他將所看見的述說。
21:7 他看見軍隊，就是騎馬的一對一對地來，又看見驢隊，駱駝隊，就要側耳細聽。
21:8 他像獅子吼叫，說：主啊，我白日常站在望樓上，整夜立在我守望所。
21:9 看哪，有一隊軍兵騎著馬，一對一對地來。他就說：巴比倫傾倒了！傾倒了！他一切雕刻的神像都打碎於地。
21:10 我被打的禾稼，我場上的穀啊，我從萬軍之耶和華─以色列的 神那裡所聽見的，都告訴你們了。
默想: 先知看到巴比倫人將來的命運，知道將來有一天巴比倫比將傾覆。但是，當一個先知其實並不是快樂的，當他看到未來巴比倫的命運時，異象所帶來的痛苦，看見巴比倫將來的慘況，先知忍不住內心慌張，甚至驚恐戰慓。相反的，巴比倫的領袖，卻看不到自己將來的景況，他們仍然心滿志得，在奢華的享宴中吃喝享受、飽足於醉酒之中。
先知的痛苦來自己他看到屬神的審判，那從神而來的異象，不一定是一個使人快樂的經驗。以賽亞有這種經驗，哈巴谷先知也有這種經驗(哈三16)。得知未來之事，未必是生命中正面的經驗，或許正因為如此，上帝並不讓基督徒知道太多關於將來的事，只是要我們認真工作，謹守度日。但是，另一方面，無知自大的巴比倫領袖，倚靠自己的權勢、能力，其實正一步一步走向敗亡而不自知。驕傲、自大正是他們加速敗壞的主要原因。
題目: 先知以賽亞因為看到異象而內心慌張疼痛，但是巴比倫的領袖卻擺筵吃喝。你對此有何感想呢？

The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
21:2 令人悽慘的異象已默示於我。詭詐的行詭詐，毀滅的行毀滅。以攔哪，你要上去！米底亞啊，你要圍困！主說：我使一切歎息止住。
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. grievous: Heb. hard
21:3 所以，我滿腰疼痛；痛苦將我抓住，好像產難的婦人一樣。我疼痛甚至不能聽；我驚惶甚至不能看。
Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it ; I was dismayed at the seeing of it .
21:4 我心慌張，驚恐威嚇我。我所羨慕的黃昏，變為我的戰兢。
My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me. heart...: or, mind wandered turned: Heb. put
21:5 他們擺設筵席，派人守望，又吃，又喝。首領啊，你們起來，用油抹盾牌。
Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
21:6 主對我如此說：你去設立守望的，使他將所看見的述說。
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
21:7 他看見軍隊，就是騎馬的一對一對地來，又看見驢隊，駱駝隊，就要側耳細聽。
And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
21:8 他像獅子吼叫，說：主啊，我白日常站在望樓上，整夜立在我守望所。
And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: he...: or, cried as a lion whole...: or, every night
21:9 看哪，有一隊軍兵騎著馬，一對一對地來。他就說：巴比倫傾倒了！傾倒了！他一切雕刻的神像都打碎於地。
And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
21:10 我被打的禾稼，我場上的穀啊，我從萬軍之耶和華─以色列的 神那裡所聽見的，都告訴你們了。
O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you. corn: Heb. son
21:11 論度瑪的默示：有人聲從西珥呼問我說：守望的啊，夜裡如何？守望的啊，夜裡如何？
The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
21:12 守望的說：早晨將到，黑夜也來。你們若要問就可以問，可以回頭再來。
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
21:13 論阿拉伯的默示：底但結伴的客旅啊，你們必在阿拉伯的樹林中住宿。
The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
21:14 提瑪地的居民拿水來，送給口渴的，拿餅來迎接逃避的。
The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled. brought: or, bring ye
21:15 因為他們逃避刀劍和出了鞘的刀，並上了弦的弓與刀兵的重災。
For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war. from the swords: or, for fear, etc: Heb. from the face, etc
21:16 主對我這樣說：「一年之內，照雇工的年數，基達的一切榮耀必歸於無有。
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
21:17 弓箭手所餘剩的，就是基達人的勇士，必然稀少，因為這是耶和華─以色列的 神說的。」
And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it . archers: Heb. Bows
