King Shishak Invaded King Rehoboam

經文: 歷代志下 12:14 羅波安行惡，因他不立定心意尋求耶和華。
默想: 羅波安在登基時，因為驕傲狂妄，不體恤人民的困苦，而導致十個支派叛變離棄他，另外推舉耶羅波安為王。耶羅波安為了堅固他的領導，除了政治權之外，還企圖擁有宗教權，將所有祭司與利未人驅離北國逃往南國，卻幫助羅波安遵行大衛王之道而蒙耶和華的祝福，國勢強盛。很可惜的是，當羅波安得到耶和華的祝福而國勢強盛之後，就離棄耶和華的律法，以致於遭到埃及王示撒的攻擊與強奪。耶和華差遣先知示瑪雅去向羅波安提醒，這次的災難是因為他離棄耶和華所帶來的結果，羅波安就謙卑悔改，而得到耶和華的施恩。但是沒有想到，一旦危機解除，羅波安又故態復萌，不立定心意尋求耶和華。求主幫助我，一生立定心意，尋求耶和華的帶領，並專一侍奉耶和華。
題目: 耶和華藉著先知示瑪雅向羅波安和猶大眾領袖說:「你們離棄了我，我也離棄你們…。」(v5)，眾領袖和君王都謙卑下來承認自己的罪說:「上主是公義的。」試想，當我們偏行已路，而有人提醒我們，我們是否願謙卑下來？
12:1 羅波安的國堅立，他強盛的時候就離棄耶和華的律法，以色列人也都隨從他。
When the rule of Rehobo'am was established and was strong, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
12:2 羅波安王第五年，埃及王示撒上來攻打耶路撒冷，因為王和民得罪了耶和華。
In the fifth year of King Rehobo'am, because they had been unfaithful to the LORD, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem
12:3 示撒帶戰車一千二百輛，馬兵六萬，並且跟從他出埃及的路比人、蘇基人，和古實人，多得不可勝數。
with twelve hundred chariots and sixty thousand horsemen. And the people were without number who came with him from Egypt -- Libyans, Suk'ki-im, and Ethiopians.
12:4 他攻取了猶大的堅固城，就來到耶路撒冷。
And he took the fortified cities of Judah and came as far as Jerusalem.
12:5 那時，猶大的首領因為示撒就聚集在耶路撒冷。有先知示瑪雅去見羅波安和眾首領，對他們說：「耶和華如此說：『你們離棄了我，所以我使你們落在示撒手裡。』」
Then Shemai'ah the prophet came to Rehobo'am and to the princes of Judah, who had gathered at Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, "Thus says the LORD, `You abandoned me, so I have abandoned you to the hand of Shishak.'"
12:6 於是王和以色列的眾首領都自卑說：「耶和華是公義的。」
Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, "The LORD is righteous."
12:7 耶和華見他們自卑，耶和華的話就臨到示瑪雅說：「他們既自卑，我必不滅絕他們；必使他們略得拯救，我不藉著示撒的手將我的怒氣倒在耶路撒冷。
When the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemai'ah: "They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
12:8 然而他們必作示撒的僕人，好叫他們知道，服事我與服事外邦人有何分別。」
Nevertheless they shall be servants to him, that they may know my service and the service of the kingdoms of the countries."
12:9 於是，埃及王示撒上來攻取耶路撒冷，奪了耶和華殿和王宮裡的寶物，盡都帶走，又奪去所羅門製造的金盾牌。
So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem; he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house; he took away everything. He also took away the shields of gold which Solomon had made;
12:10 羅波安王製造銅盾牌代替那金盾牌，交給守王宮門的護衛長看守。
and King Rehobo'am made in their stead shields of bronze, and committed them to the hands of the officers of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house.
12:11 王每逢進耶和華的殿，護衛兵就拿這盾牌，隨後仍將盾牌送回，放在護衛房。
And as often as the king went into the house of the LORD, the guard came and bore them, and brought them back to the guardroom.
12:12 王自卑的時候，耶和華的怒氣就轉消了，不將他滅盡，並且在猶大中間也有善益的事。
And when he humbled himself the wrath of the LORD turned from him, so as not to make a complete destruction; moreover, conditions were good in Judah.
12:13 羅波安王自強，在耶路撒冷作王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和華從以色列眾支派中所選擇立他名的城，作王十七年。羅波安的母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。
So King Rehobo'am established himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Rehobo'am was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his name there. His mother's name was Na'amah the Ammonitess.
12:14 羅波安行惡，因他不立定心意尋求耶和華。
And he did evil, for he did not set his heart to seek the LORD.
12:15 羅波安所行的事，自始至終不都寫在先知示瑪雅和先見易多的史記上嗎？羅波安與耶羅波安時常爭戰。
Now the acts of Rehobo'am, from first to last, are they not written in the chronicles of Shemai'ah the prophet and of Iddo the seer? There were continual wars between Rehobo'am and Jerobo'am.
12:16 羅波安與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛城裡。他兒子亞比雅接續他作王。
And Rehobo'am slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David; and Abi'jah his son reigned in his stead.
