King Solomon Enslaved Canaanites
全新四年樂活讀經
經文: 歷代志下 8:8 就是以色列人未曾滅絕的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。
默想: 看到這段經文，讓我想起當年以色列人下埃及，在埃及寄居時，也一樣被埃及王法老當作奴隸一樣使用。當耶和華派遣摩西帶領以色列人出埃及時，曾經藉著摩西吩咐以色列人，不可虧負寄居的，也不可欺壓他，因為你們在埃及也作過寄居的。(出22:21; 23:9) 摩西更進一步吩咐以色列人，和你們同居的外人，你們要看他如本地人一樣，並要愛他如己，因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。我是耶和華你們的神。(利19:34) 所以你們要憐愛寄居的，因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。(申10:19) 當耶和華賜福所羅門王，讓他國力強盛之後，他對待這些被他所征服的迦南異族的後裔，是強迫他們做服苦的奴僕。求主幫助我，不論自己的處境與成就如何，真的要學會愛鄰舍如同自己的屬靈功課。
題目: 聖殿完工後，所羅門在聖殿獻祭及守節，所羅門沒有忘記建殿的目的。試想:和平教會建殿的目的是什麼？
8:1 所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，二十年才完畢了。
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the LORD and his own house,
8:2 以後所羅門重新修築希蘭送給他的那些城邑，使以色列人住在那裡。
Solomon rebuilt the cities which Huram had given to him, and settled the people of Israel in them.
8:3 所羅門往哈馬瑣巴去，攻取了那地方。
And Solomon went to Ha'math-zo'bah, and took it.
8:4 所羅門建造曠野裡的達莫，又建造哈馬所有的積貨城，
He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the store-cities which he built in Hamath.
8:5 又建造上伯•和崙、下伯•和崙作為保障，都有牆，有門，有閂；
He also built Upper Beth-hor'on and Lower Beth-hor'on, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars,
8:6 又建造巴拉和所有的積貨城，並屯車輛馬兵的城，與耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，以及自己治理的全國中所願意建造的。
and Ba'alath, and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and whatever Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
8:7 至於國中所剩下不屬以色列人的赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，
All the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Per'izzites, the Hivites, and the Jeb'usites, who were not of Israel,
8:8 就是以色列人未曾滅絕的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。
from their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the people of Israel had not destroyed -- these Solomon made a forced levy and so they are to this day.
8:9 惟有以色列人，所羅門不使他們當奴僕做工，乃是作他的戰士、軍長的統領、車兵長、馬兵長。
But of the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves for his work; they were soldiers, and his officers, the commanders of his chariots, and his horsemen.
8:10 所羅門王有二百五十督工的，監管工人。
And these were the chief officers of King Solomon, two hundred and fifty, who exercised authority over the people.
8:11 所羅門將法老的女兒帶出大衛城，上到為她建造的宮裡；因所羅門說：「耶和華約櫃所到之處都為聖地，所以我的妻不可住在以色列王大衛的宮裡。」
Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the city of David to the house which he had built for her, for he said, "My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, for the places to which the ark of the LORD has come are holy."
8:12 所羅門在耶和華的壇上，就是在廊子前他所築的壇上，與耶和華獻燔祭；
Then Solomon offered up burnt offerings to the LORD upon the altar of the LORD which he had built before the vestibule,
8:13 又遵著摩西的吩咐在安息日、月朔，並一年三節，就是除酵節、七七節、住棚節，獻每日所當獻的祭。
as the duty of each day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses for the sabbaths, the new moons, and the three annual feasts -- the feast of unleavened bread, the feast of weeks, and the feast of tabernacles.
8:14 所羅門照著他父大衛所定的例，派定祭司的班次，使他們各供己事，又使利未人各盡其職，讚美耶和華，在祭司面前做每日所當做的；又派守門的按著班次看守各門，因為神人大衛是這樣吩咐的。
According to the ordinance of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their offices of praise and ministry before the priests as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers in their divisions for the several gates; for so David the man of God had commanded.
8:15 王所吩咐眾祭司和利未人的，無論是管府庫或辦別的事，他們都不違背。
And they did not turn aside from what the king had commanded the priests and Levites concerning any matter and concerning the treasuries.
8:16 所羅門建造耶和華的殿，從立根基直到成功的日子，工料俱備。這樣，耶和華的殿全然完畢。
Thus was accomplished all the work of Solomon from the day the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was completed.
8:17 那時，所羅門往以東地靠海的以旬•迦別和以祿去。
Then Solomon went to E'zion-ge'ber and Eloth on the shore of the sea, in the land of Edom.
8:18 希蘭差遣他的臣僕，將船隻和熟悉泛海的僕人送到所羅門那裡。他們同著所羅門的僕人到了俄斐，得了四百五十他連得金子，運到所羅門王那裡。
And Huram sent him by his servants ships and servants familiar with the sea, and they went to Ophir together with the servants of Solomon, and fetched from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon.
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the LORD and his own house,
8:2 以後所羅門重新修築希蘭送給他的那些城邑，使以色列人住在那裡。
