經文: 歷代志下 9:8 耶和華你的神是應當稱頌的！他喜悅你，使你坐他的國位，為耶和華你的神作王；因為你的神愛以色列人，要永遠堅立他們，所以立你作他們的王，使你秉公行義。
默想: 示巴女王從風聞所羅門王的智慧，到親眼看到所羅門王的排場，親耳聽見所羅門王的睿智，打從心底發出佩服的讚嘆。所羅門王將一切的智慧與成就都歸榮耀給耶和華，以致於示巴女王說，耶和華你的神是應當稱頌的！示巴女王也看出，所羅門王討神的喜悅，國位是來自耶和華的賞賜。耶和華設立所羅門為王是因為耶和華愛以色列人，設立所羅門王的目的是要所羅門王能夠秉公行義，來服侍以色列民。求主幫助我，能夠成為討神喜悅的人，能夠確信一切的成就都是來自上帝的恩典，能夠相信上帝賞賜恩典是為了服侍那一世代的人。
題目: 示巴女王對所羅門說:「你的僕人多麼幸福啊！他們可以常常在你的面前聽你智慧的話。」試想:你是否也因能常來到上主面前聆聽上主的話，而感到幸福？
9:1 示巴女王聽見所羅門的名聲，就來到耶路撒冷，要用難解的話試問所羅門；跟隨她的人甚多，又有駱駝馱著香料、寶石，和許多金子。她來見了所羅門，就把心裡所有的對所羅門都說出來。
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions, having a very great retinue and camels bearing spices and very much gold and precious stones. When she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind.
9:2 所羅門將她所問的都答上了，沒有一句不明白、不能答的。
And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from Solomon which he could not explain to her.
9:3 示巴女王見所羅門的智慧和他所建造的宮室、
And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
9:4 席上的珍饈美味、群臣分列而坐、僕人兩旁侍立，以及他們的衣服裝飾、酒政，和酒政的衣服裝飾，又見他上耶和華殿的臺階，就詫異得神不守舍，
the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, and their clothing, his cupbearers, and their clothing, and his burnt offerings which he offered at the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her.
9:5 對王說：「我在本國裡所聽見論到你的事和你的智慧實在是真的！
And she said to the king, "The report was true which I heard in my own land of your affairs and of your wisdom,
9:6 我先不信那些話，及至我來親眼見了，才知道你的大智慧；人所告訴我的，還不到一半；你的實跡越過我所聽見的名聲。
but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it; and behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report which I heard.
9:7 你的群臣、你的僕人常侍立在你面前聽你智慧的話是有福的。
Happy are your wives! Happy are these your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!
9:8 耶和華─你的 神是應當稱頌的！他喜悅你，使你坐他的國位，為耶和華─你的 神作王；因為你的 神愛以色列人，要永遠堅立他們，所以立你作他們的王，使你秉公行義。」
Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the LORD your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them for ever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness."
9:9 於是示巴女王將一百二十他連得金子和寶石，與極多的香料送給所羅門王；她送給王的香料，以後再沒有這樣的。
Then she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a very great quantity of spices, and precious stones: there were no spices such as those which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
9:10 希蘭的僕人和所羅門的僕人從俄斐運了金子來，也運了檀香木【或作烏木；下同】和寶石來。
Moreover the servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, brought algum wood and precious stones.
9:11 王用檀香木為耶和華殿和王宮做臺，又為歌唱的人做琴瑟；猶大地從來沒有見過這樣的。
And the king made of the algum wood steps for the house of the LORD and for the king's house, lyres also and harps for the singers; there never was seen the like of them before in the land of Judah.
9:12 所羅門王按示巴女王所帶來的，還她禮物，另外照她一切所要所求的，都送給她。於是女王和她臣僕轉回本國去了。
And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all that she desired, whatever she asked besides what she had brought to the king. So she turned and went back to her own land, with her servants.
9:13 所羅門每年所得的金子共有六百六十六他連得，
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
9:14 另外還有商人所進的金子，並且阿拉伯諸王與屬國的省長都帶金銀給所羅門。
besides that which the traders and merchants brought; and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the land brought gold and silver to Solomon.
9:15 所羅門王用錘出來的金子打成擋牌二百面，每面用金子六百舍客勒；
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of beaten gold went into each shield.
9:16 又用錘出來的金子打成盾牌三百面，每面用金子三百舍客勒，都放在黎巴嫩林宮裡。
And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three hundred shekels of gold went into each shield; and the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
9:17 王用象牙製造一個大寶座，用精金包裹。
The king also made a great ivory throne, and overlaid it with pure gold.
9:18 寶座有六層臺階，又有金腳凳，與寶座相連。寶座兩旁有扶手，靠近扶手有兩個獅子站立。
The throne had six steps and a footstool of gold, which were attached to the throne, and on each side of the seat were arm rests and two lions standing beside the arm rests,
9:19 六層臺階上有十二個獅子站立，每層有兩個：左邊一個，右邊一個；在列國中沒有這樣做的。
while twelve lions stood there, one on each end of a step on the six steps. The like of it was never made in any kingdom.
9:20 所羅門王一切的飲器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宮裡的一切器皿都是精金的。所羅門年間，銀子算不了甚麼。
All King Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; silver was not considered as anything in the days of Solomon.
9:21 因為王的船隻與希蘭的僕人一同往他施去；他施船隻三年一次裝載金、銀、象牙、猿猴、孔雀回來。
For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram; once every three years the ships of Tarshish used to come bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
9:22 所羅門王的財寶與智慧勝過天下的列王。
Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
9:23 普天下的王都求見所羅門，要聽 神賜給他智慧的話。
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind.
9:24 他們各帶貢物，就是金器、銀器、衣服、軍械、香料、騾馬，每年有一定之例。
Every one of them brought his present, articles of silver and of gold, garments, myrrh, spices, horses, and mules, so much year by year.
9:25 所羅門有套車的馬四千棚，有馬兵一萬二千，安置在屯車的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那裡。
And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.
9:26 所羅門統管諸王，從大河到非利士地，直到埃及的邊界。
And he ruled over all the kings from the Euphra'tes to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
9:27 王在耶路撒冷使銀子多如石頭，香柏木多如高原的桑樹。
And the king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stone, and cedar as plentiful as the sycamore of the Shephe'lah.
9:28 有人從埃及和各國為所羅門趕馬群來。
And horses were imported for Solomon from Egypt and from all lands.
9:29 所羅門其餘的事，自始至終，不都寫在先知拿單的書上和示羅人亞希雅的預言書上，並先見易多論尼八兒子耶羅波安的默示書上嗎？
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, from first to last, are they not written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahi'jah the Shi'lonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jerobo'am the son of Nebat?
9:30 所羅門在耶路撒冷作以色列眾人的王共四十年。
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
9:31 所羅門與他列祖同睡，葬在他父大衛城裡。他兒子羅波安接續他作王。
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father; and Rehobo'am his son reigned in his stead.

9:2 所羅門將她所問的都答上了，沒有一句不明白、不能答的。
