85:1 （可拉後裔的詩，交與伶長。）耶和華啊，你已經向你的地施恩，救回被擄的雅各。
85:2 你赦免了你百姓的罪孽，遮蓋了他們一切的過犯。（細拉）
85:3 你收轉了所發的忿怒和你猛烈的怒氣。
85:4 拯救我們的 神啊，求你使我們回轉，叫你的惱恨向我們止息。
85:5 你要向我們發怒到永遠嗎？你要將你的怒氣延留到萬代嗎？
85:6 你不再將我們救活，使你的百姓靠你歡喜嗎？
85:7 耶和華啊，求你使我們得見你的慈愛，又將你的救恩賜給我們。
85:8 我要聽 神─耶和華所說的話；因為他必應許將平安賜給他的百姓─他的聖民；他們卻不可再轉去妄行。
85:9 他的救恩誠然與敬畏他的人相近，叫榮耀住在我們的地上。
85:10 慈愛和誠實彼此相遇；公義和平安彼此相親。
85:11 誠實從地而生；公義從天而現。
85:12 耶和華必將好處賜給我們；我們的地也要多出土產。
85:13 公義要行在他面前，叫他的腳蹤成為可走的路。
默想: 詩人向上帝述說，感謝上帝赦免百姓一切的罪孽，遮蓋他們一切的過犯；也止息了上帝所發的忿怒。詩人知道，上帝拯救祂的百姓有兩個重要的原因，第一個是，上帝是主動發出慈愛與恩典的上帝。第二個是祂百姓的信心與表達信心的行為。
詩人向上帝懇求，上帝賜下祂的救恩，好讓他們得以領受上帝的慈愛、恩典。但是他知道，以色列人必須有活出上帝所要求的樣式，上帝所要求的樣式是什麼呢？詩人不是提到如何的獻祭、敬拜等的宗教活動，而是講述「公義」的價值與態度。詩人認為當誠實與公義真實地在他們的生活中被實踐，以色列人必將經驗「耶和華必將好處賜給我們；我們的地也要多出土產」。
題目: 可拉後裔在詩篇八十五篇中說，慈愛的誠實彼此相遇，公義和平安彼此相親。你對這句話有何感想呢？

To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. for the sons: or, of the sons favourable: or, well pleased
85:2 你赦免了你百姓的罪孽，遮蓋了他們一切的過犯。（細拉）
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
85:3 你收轉了所發的忿怒和你猛烈的怒氣。
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. thyself...: or, thine anger from waxing hot
85:4 拯救我們的 神啊，求你使我們回轉，叫你的惱恨向我們止息。
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
85:5 你要向我們發怒到永遠嗎？你要將你的怒氣延留到萬代嗎？
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
85:6 你不再將我們救活，使你的百姓靠你歡喜嗎？
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
85:7 耶和華啊，求你使我們得見你的慈愛，又將你的救恩賜給我們。
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
85:8 我要聽 神─耶和華所說的話；因為他必應許將平安賜給他的百姓─他的聖民；他們卻不可再轉去妄行。
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
85:9 他的救恩誠然與敬畏他的人相近，叫榮耀住在我們的地上。
Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
85:10 慈愛和誠實彼此相遇；公義和平安彼此相親。
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other .
85:11 誠實從地而生；公義從天而現。
Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
85:12 耶和華必將好處賜給我們；我們的地也要多出土產。
Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
85:13 公義要行在他面前，叫他的腳蹤成為可走的路。
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
86:1 （大衛的祈禱。）耶和華啊，求你側耳應允我，因我是困苦窮乏的。
A Prayer of David. Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. A Prayer...: or, A Prayer, being a Psalm of David
86:2 求你保存我的性命，因我是虔誠人。我的 神啊，求你拯救這倚靠你的僕人！
Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. holy: or, one whom thou favourest
86:3 主啊，求你憐憫我，因我終日求告你。
Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. daily: or, all the day
86:4 主啊，求你使僕人心裡歡喜，因為我的心仰望你。
Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
86:5 主啊，你本為良善，樂意饒恕人，有豐盛的慈愛賜給凡求告你的人。
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
86:6 耶和華啊，求你留心聽我的禱告，垂聽我懇求的聲音。
Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
86:7 我在患難之日要求告你，因為你必應允我。
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
86:8 主啊，諸神之中沒有可比你的；你的作為也無可比。
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
86:9 主啊，你所造的萬民都要來敬拜你；他們也要榮耀你的名。
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
86:10 因你為大，且行奇妙的事；惟獨你是 神。
For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
86:11 耶和華啊，求你將你的道指教我；我要照你的真理行；求你使我專心敬畏你的名！
Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
86:12 主─我的 神啊，我要一心稱讚你；我要榮耀你的名，直到永遠。
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
86:13 因為，你向我發的慈愛是大的；你救了我的靈魂免入極深的陰間。
For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. hell: or, grave
86:14 神啊，驕傲的人起來攻擊我，又有一黨強橫的人尋索我的命；他們沒有將你放在眼中。
O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. violent: Heb. terrible
86:15 主啊，你是有憐憫有恩典的 神，不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛和誠實。
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
86:16 求你向我轉臉，憐恤我，將你的力量賜給僕人，救你婢女的兒子。
O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
86:17 求你向我顯出恩待我的憑據，叫恨我的人看見便羞愧，因為你─耶和華幫助我，安慰我。
Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it , and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
