77:1 （亞薩的詩，照耶杜頓的作法，交與伶長。）我要向 神發聲呼求；我向 神發聲，他必留心聽我。
77:2 我在患難之日尋求主；我在夜間不住地舉手禱告；我的心不肯受安慰。
77:3 我想念 神，就煩躁不安；我沉吟悲傷，心便發昏。（細拉）
77:4 你叫我不能閉眼；我煩亂不安，甚至不能說話。
77:5 我追想古時之日，上古之年。
77:6 我想起我夜間的歌曲，捫心自問；我心裡也仔細省察。
77:7 難道主要永遠丟棄我，不再施恩嗎？
77:8 難道他的慈愛永遠窮盡，他的應許世世廢棄嗎？
77:9 難道 神忘記開恩，因發怒就止住他的慈悲嗎？（細拉）
77:10 我便說：這是我的懦弱，但我要追念至高者顯出右手之年代。
77:11 我要提說耶和華所行的；我要記念你古時的奇事。
77:12 我也要思想你的經營，默念你的作為。
77:13 神啊，你的作為是潔淨的；有何 神大如 神呢？
77:14 你是行奇事的 神；你曾在列邦中彰顯你的能力。
77:15 你曾用你的膀臂贖了你的民，就是雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）
77:16 神啊，諸水見你，一見就都驚惶；深淵也都戰抖。
77:17 雲中倒出水來；天空發出響聲；你的箭也飛行四方。
77:18 你的雷聲在旋風中；電光照亮世界；大地戰抖震動。
77:19 你的道在海中；你的路在大水中；你的腳蹤無人知道。
77:20 你曾藉摩西和亞倫的手引導你的百姓，好像羊群一般。
默想: 當詩人遇見患難之際，尋求上帝。他不停地舉手禱告，但是心卻無法受到安慰。或許是他的傷痛太大，所以當他思想神時，心中不但沒有被安慰，反而覺得煩燥不安，心便發昏。
面對所遭遇的禍患，詩人發出三個疑問「難道主要永遠丟棄我，不再施恩嗎？」「難道他的慈愛永遠窮盡，他的應許世世廢棄嗎？」「難道上帝忘記開恩，因發怒就止住他的慈悲嗎？」面對詩人心中所提出的這三個問題，詩人內心有一個答案，他承認自己是懦弱的，他無力面對自己的禍患，他因為環境的挫折而失去了對上帝的信心。他承認，在患難之際，他所要學習的，不是看自己當下的困難，乃是要專注追念上帝「顯出右手之年代」，當他把眼目放在上帝過往的作為，紀念祂所行的大能、奇事。他就再次的恢復信心。詩人知道沒有像耶和華的，祂曾在列邦中彰顯能力，用大能的膀臂贖回了自己的百姓，在祂沒有難成的事，所以他可以有信心地來注目在上帝的作為中。
是否我們在困難中，也是比較容易專注在自己的難處上，而忘記了上帝信實、恩典的作為。我們的困難是真實的，而且是巨大的，所帶給我們的痛苦也是深刻的。詩人沒有否認現實的情況。但是正是因為如此，我們更要定睛在上帝的作為，若我們沒有看見上帝的大能，那麼在我們的現況中，我們將更找不到盼望，與被安慰的因由。不是嗎？
題目: 詩人亞薩在詩篇七十七篇中採用什麼方法來勝過內心的煩燥與悲傷呢？

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
76:3 他在那裡折斷弓上的火箭，並盾牌、刀劍，和爭戰的兵器。（細拉）
There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
76:4 你從有野食之山而來，有光華和榮美。
Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
76:5 心中勇敢的人都被搶奪；他們睡了長覺，沒有一個英雄能措手。
The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
76:6 雅各的 神啊，你的斥責一發，坐車的、騎馬的都沉睡了。
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
76:7 惟獨你是可畏的！你怒氣一發，誰能在你面前站得住呢？
Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
76:8 你從天上使人聽判斷。 神起來施行審判，要救地上一切謙卑的人；那時地就懼怕而靜默。（細拉）
Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
76:9 併於上節
When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
76:10 人的忿怒要成全你的榮美；人的餘怒，你要禁止。
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
76:11 你們許願，當向耶和華─你們的 神還願；在他四面的人都當拿貢物獻給那可畏的主。
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. unto him...: Heb. to fear
76:12 他要挫折王子的驕氣；他向地上的君王顯威可畏。
He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.

Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
77:5 我追想古時之日，上古之年。
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
77:7 難道主要永遠丟棄我，不再施恩嗎？
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
77:8 難道他的慈愛永遠窮盡，他的應許世世廢棄嗎？
Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? for evermore: Heb. to generation and generation?
77:9 難道 神忘記開恩，因發怒就止住他的慈悲嗎？（細拉）
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
77:10 我便說：這是我的懦弱，但我要追念至高者顯出右手之年代。
And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
77:11 我要提說耶和華所行的；我要記念你古時的奇事。
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
77:12 我也要思想你的經營，默念你的作為。
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
77:13 神啊，你的作為是潔淨的；有何 神大如 神呢？
Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?
77:14 你是行奇事的 神；你曾在列邦中彰顯你的能力。
Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
77:15 你曾用你的膀臂贖了你的民，就是雅各和約瑟的子孫。（細拉）
Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.
77:17 雲中倒出水來；天空發出響聲；你的箭也飛行四方。
The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. poured...: Heb. were poured forth with water

The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.

Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
