約伯質疑上帝為什麼惡人沒有得到應得的報應呢?

W5 2013-03-29 (約伯記24) 
24:1 
全能者既定期罰惡,為何不使認識他的人看見那日子呢?
24:2 
有人挪移地界,搶奪群畜而牧養。
24:3 
他們拉去孤兒的驢,強取寡婦的牛為當頭。
24:4 
他們使窮人離開正道;世上的貧民盡都隱藏。
24:5 
這些貧窮人如同野驢出到曠野,殷勤尋找食物;他們靠著野地給兒女糊口,
24:6 
收割別人田間的禾稼,摘取惡人餘剩的葡萄,
24:7 
終夜赤身無衣,天氣寒冷毫無遮蓋,
24:8 
在山上被大雨淋濕,因沒有避身之處就挨近磐石。
24:9 
又有人從母懷中搶奪孤兒,強取窮人的衣服為當頭,
24:10 
使人赤身無衣,到處流行,且因飢餓扛抬禾捆,
24:11 
在那些人的圍牆內造油,醡酒,自己還口渴。
24:12 
在多民的城內有人唉哼,受傷的人哀號; 神卻不理會那惡人的愚妄。
24:13 
又有人背棄光明,不認識光明的道,不住在光明的路上。
24:14 
殺人的黎明起來,殺害困苦窮乏人,夜間又作盜賊。
24:15 
姦夫等候黃昏,說:必無眼能見我,就把臉蒙蔽。
24:16 
盜賊黑夜挖窟窿;白日躲藏,並不認識光明。
24:17 
他們看早晨如幽暗,因為他們曉得幽暗的驚駭。
24:18 
這些惡人猶如浮萍快快飄去。他們所得的分在世上被咒詛;他們不得再走葡萄園的路。
24:19 
乾旱炎熱消沒雪水;陰間也如此消沒犯罪之輩。
24:20 
懷他的母(原文是胎)要忘記他;蟲子要吃他,覺得甘甜;他不再被人記念。不義的人必如樹折斷。
24:21 
他惡待(或譯:他吞滅)不懷孕不生養的婦人,不善待寡婦。
24:22 
然而 神用能力保全有勢力的人;那性命難保的人仍然興起。
24:23 
 神使他們安穩,他們就有所倚靠; 神的眼目也看顧他們的道路。
24:24 
他們被高舉,不過片時就沒有了;他們降為卑,被除滅,與眾人一樣,又如穀穗被割。
24:25 
若不是這樣,誰能證實我是說謊的,將我的言語駁為虛空呢? 

默想: 約伯質疑上帝,為什麼惡人在這個世上作惡多端,但是卻沒有得到應得的報應呢?為什麼他們欺壓窮人,使窮人受盡困苦、無依無靠,而上帝卻容忍他們持續作威作福。惡人明明就是在那裡無法無天的作惡妄為,不停地犯罪,殺人、姦淫、偷盜,但是卻沒有得到應有的懲罰。反而上帝好像看顧他們,讓他們安穩、讓他們有倚靠,在世上的日子,是如此的順利。如果惡人和好人一樣,最終都不免一死,那麼,死亡怎麼能算是對惡人的懲罰呢?何況惡人在死前的日子,是那麼地舒坦、平順,那麼上帝的報應又在那裡呢?
從約伯的眼光來看,他完全不能接受、了解,上帝為什麼容忍這些罪人的存在、昌盛,而如同他這樣的人卻要無辜地遭受苦難。若是這樣,上帝能稱之為公義嗎?約伯從自身的處境中,更加感到相對的不公義,看到惡人享樂快活,自己卻受難遭辱,這種相對的挫折感,讓約伯對上帝的作為益發的感到不解。
事實上,上帝對罪惡不一定會立刻施行懲罰。同樣的,上帝對義人的苦難,也不見得會馬上施行拯救。所以,從某一方面來說,我們不能用這個人在世上物質、名聲、地位、康健來評估這個人是否就一定是「蒙神祝福」。因為上帝的審判與拯救不一定是立即的,而是這有上帝的時間、安排、計畫與主權。這不是照人主觀的期待與想像來發生的。某方面,約伯與他的朋友都對「立即性的報應」期待太高了,所以約伯會覺得上帝待他不公,他的朋友會認為約伯一定有犯罪,這都是出於對「立即性報應」的期待。

題目: 約伯在本章中對於神的公義有何看法呢?

 

24:1 全能者既定期罰惡,為何不使認識他的人看見那日子呢?
Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
24:2 有人挪移地界,搶奪群畜而牧養。

Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof . feed...: or, feed them
24:3 他們拉去孤兒的驢,強取寡婦的牛為當頭。

They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
24:4 他們使窮人離開正道;世上的貧民盡都隱藏。

They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
24:5 這些貧窮人如同野驢出到曠野,殷勤尋找食物;他們靠著野地給兒女糊口,

Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
24:6 收割別人田間的禾稼,摘取惡人餘剩的葡萄,

They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked. corn: Heb. mingled corn, or, dredge they gather...: Heb. the wicked gather the vintage
24:7 終夜赤身無衣,天氣寒冷毫無遮蓋,

They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
24:8 在山上被大雨淋濕,因沒有避身之處就挨近磐石。

They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
24:9 又有人從母懷中搶奪孤兒,強取窮人的衣服為當頭,

They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
24:10 使人赤身無衣,到處流行,且因飢餓扛抬禾捆,

They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
24:11 在那些人的圍牆內造油,醡酒,自己還口渴。

Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
24:12 在多民的城內有人唉哼,受傷的人哀號; 神卻不理會那惡人的愚妄。

Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them .
24:13 又有人背棄光明,不認識光明的道,不住在光明的路上。

They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
24:14 殺人的黎明起來,殺害困苦窮乏人,夜間又作盜賊。

The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
24:15 姦夫等候黃昏,說:必無眼能見我,就把臉蒙蔽。

The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face. disguiseth...: Heb. setteth his face in secret
24:16 盜賊黑夜挖窟窿;白日躲藏,並不認識光明。

In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
24:17 他們看早晨如幽暗,因為他們曉得幽暗的驚駭。

For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
24:18 這些惡人猶如浮萍快快飄去。他們所得的分在世上被咒詛;他們不得再走葡萄園的路。

He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
24:19 乾旱炎熱消沒雪水;陰間也如此消沒犯罪之輩。

Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned. consume: Heb. violently take
24:20 懷他的母(原文是胎)要忘記他;蟲子要吃他,覺得甘甜;他不再被人記念。不義的人必如樹折斷。

The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
24:21 他惡待(或譯:他吞滅)不懷孕不生養的婦人,不善待寡婦。

He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
24:22 然而 神用能力保全有勢力的人;那性命難保的人仍然興起。

He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life. no...: or, he trusteth not his own life
24:23  神使他們安穩,他們就有所倚靠; 神的眼目也看顧他們的道路。

Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
24:24 他們被高舉,不過片時就沒有了;他們降為卑,被除滅,與眾人一樣,又如穀穗被割。

They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other , and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn. are gone: Heb. are not taken...: Heb. closed up
24:25 若不是這樣,誰能證實我是說謊的,將我的言語駁為虛空呢?

And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
