W4 2013-03-014 (約伯記13)
13:1 這一切，我眼都見過；我耳都聽過，而且明白。
13:2 你們所知道的，我也知道，並非不及你們。
13:3 我真要對全能者說話；我願與 神理論。
13:4 你們是編造謊言的，都是無用的醫生。
13:5 惟願你們全然不作聲；這就算為你們的智慧！
13:6 請你們聽我的辯論，留心聽我口中的分訴。
13:7 你們要為 神說不義的話嗎？為他說詭詐的言語嗎？
13:8 你們要為 神徇情嗎？要為他爭論嗎？
13:9 他查出你們來，這豈是好嗎？人欺哄人，你們也要照樣欺哄他嗎？
13:10 你們若暗中徇情，他必要責備你們。
13:11 他的尊榮豈不叫你們懼怕嗎？他的驚嚇豈不臨到你們嗎？
13:12 你們以為可記念的箴言是爐灰的箴言；你們以為可靠的堅壘是淤泥的堅壘。
默想: 約伯的朋友熱心地想要用言語讓約伯認罪，不但沒有果效，反而讓約伯認為他們是「編造謊言的，都是無用的醫生」(4)約伯巴不得他們全部安靜，那才是他們的智慧。(5)在約伯的眼中他的朋友所說的話是不義的言語(7a)、詭詐的言語(7b)，是徇情的話(8)、是欺哄之言(9)。這些話沒有意義如同爐灰的箴言(12a)、淤泥的堅壘(12b)，完全沒有用處。
事實上這些朋友也不是一開始就對約伯淘淘不絕地發表議論，他們曾經七天陪伴他，而不發一言。(二13)這種陪伴真的只有好朋友才能做得到，只可惜，他們心中強烈的主觀認定約伯是有罪的人，而拼命地要約伯認錯！面對不肯認罪的約伯，他們就越發顯得情詞迫切地要證明約伯是錯誤的。朋友這種咄咄逼人的態度，引起約伯強烈的反彈。約伯雖然不知道自己為何遭受苦難，但是，他清楚地認為，這樣的苦難不是因為自己的罪。因為他知道，自己真的沒有犯什麼大罪去招惹上帝非要如此地攻擊他。這個時候的約伯，最不需要的就是「道德式的指責與勸告」。可惜他的朋友們，並不明白這一點。
題目: 在某些情況下，傾聽比爭辯聰明，你對此有何看法呢？
13:1 這一切，我眼都見過；我耳都聽過，而且明白。
Lo, mine eye hath seen all this , mine ear hath heard and understood it.
13:2 你們所知道的，我也知道，並非不及你們。
What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
13:3 我真要對全能者說話；我願與 神理論。
Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
13:4 你們是編造謊言的，都是無用的醫生。
But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
13:5 惟願你們全然不作聲；這就算為你們的智慧！
O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
13:6 請你們聽我的辯論，留心聽我口中的分訴。
Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
13:7 你們要為 神說不義的話嗎？為他說詭詐的言語嗎？
Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
13:8 你們要為 神徇情嗎？要為他爭論嗎？
Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
13:9 他查出你們來，這豈是好嗎？人欺哄人，你們也要照樣欺哄他嗎？
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
13:10 你們若暗中徇情，他必要責備你們。
He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
13:11 他的尊榮豈不叫你們懼怕嗎？他的驚嚇豈不臨到你們嗎？
Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
13:12 你們以為可記念的箴言是爐灰的箴言；你們以為可靠的堅壘是淤泥的堅壘。
Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
13:13 你們不要作聲，任憑我吧！讓我說話，無論如何我都承當。
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will . Hold...: Heb. Be silent from me
13:14 我何必把我的肉掛在牙上，將我的命放在手中。
Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
13:15 他必殺我；我雖無指望，然而我在他面前還要辯明我所行的。
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. maintain: Heb. prove, or, argue
13:16 這要成為我的拯救，因為不虔誠的人不得到他面前。
He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
13:17 你們要細聽我的言語，使我所辯論的入你們的耳中。
Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
13:18 我已陳明我的案，知道自己有義。
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
13:19 有誰與我爭論，我就情願緘默不言，氣絕而亡。
Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
13:20 惟有兩件不要向我施行，我就不躲開你的面：
Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
13:21 就是把你的手縮回，遠離我身；又不使你的驚惶威嚇我。
Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
13:22 這樣，你呼叫，我就回答；或是讓我說話，你回答我。
Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
13:23 我的罪孽和罪過有多少呢？求你叫我知道我的過犯與罪愆。
How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
13:24 你為何掩面、拿我當仇敵呢？
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
13:25 你要驚動被風吹的葉子嗎？要追趕枯乾的碎秸嗎？
Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
13:26 你按罪狀刑罰我，又使我擔當幼年的罪孽；
For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
13:27 也把我的腳上了木狗，並窺察我一切的道路，為我的腳掌劃定界限。
Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet. lookest...: Heb. observest heels: Heb. roots
13:28 我已經像滅絕的爛物，像蟲蛀的衣裳。
And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
