經文: 路得記 1:20-21 拿俄米對他們說：「不要叫我拿俄米（就是甜的意思），要叫我瑪拉（就是苦的意思），因為全能者使我受了大苦。我滿滿的出去，耶和華使我空空的回來。耶和華降禍與我，全能者使我受苦。既是這樣，你們為何還叫我拿俄米呢？」
默想: 拿俄米跟隨他的先生，因為猶大地的大饑荒而全家移民到摩押地去討生活。兩個兒子也都與當地的女子成婚。拿俄米沒有想到，在十年之間，他的先生與兩個兒子都相繼去世。拿俄米的意思原來是甜，但是想不到為了饑荒而往摩押移民所帶給拿俄米的，卻是丈夫與兒子都相繼去世的悲慘遭遇。拿俄米自認他的人生應該是叫做瑪拉 (就是苦的意思)。拿俄米認為他一生的苦是來自全能的耶和華。拿俄米還是想要返回敬拜耶和華的故鄉。拿俄米作夢也沒有想到，耶和華要藉著摩押女子路得，也就是他的二媳婦，要給他的人生帶來喜樂與盼望。拿俄米也沒有想到，耶和華要從他的苦難人生當中，帶來彌賽亞的盼望給整個以色列民族與全世界。主啊！如果是你要我吃苦，好叫全世界因此蒙福，求主幫助我，願意在你的面前學習順服。
題目: 路得在猶太人的眼中是個外邦女子，但這外邦女子敬拜上主的態度，卻比猶太人還猶太人。她原可回去拜她的神「基抹」，但她卻決意選擇跟隨拿俄米拜上帝，試問，若有機會讓你再選擇一次，你會作何選擇？(v16-17)
1:1 當士師秉政的時候，國中遭遇饑荒。在猶大、伯利恆，有一個人帶著妻子和兩個兒子往摩押地去寄居。
In the days when the judges ruled there was a famine in the land, and a certain man of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons.
1:2 這人名叫以利米勒，他的妻名叫拿俄米；他兩個兒子，一個名叫瑪倫，一個名叫基連，都是猶大的伯利恆的以法他人。他們到了摩押地，就住在那裡。
The name of the man was Elim'elech and the name of his wife Na'omi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chil'ion; they were Eph'rathites from Bethlehem in Judah. They went into the country of Moab and remained there.
1:3 後來拿俄米的丈夫以利米勒死了，剩下婦人和她兩個兒子。
But Elim'elech, the husband of Na'omi, died, and she was left with her two sons.
1:4 這兩個兒子娶了摩押女子為妻，一個名叫俄珥巴，一個名叫路得，在那裡住了約有十年。
These took Moabite wives; the name of the one was Orpah and the name of the other Ruth. They lived there about ten years;
1:5 瑪倫和基連二人也死了，剩下拿俄米，沒有丈夫，也沒有兒子。
and both Mahlon and Chil'ion died, so that the woman was bereft of her two sons and her husband.
1:6 她就與兩個兒婦起身，要從摩押地歸回；因為她在摩押地聽見耶和華眷顧自己的百姓，賜糧食與他們。
Then she started with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD had visited his people and given them food.
1:7 於是她和兩個兒婦起行離開所住的地方，要回猶大地去。
So she set out from the place where she was, with her two daughters-in-law, and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.
1:8 拿俄米對兩個兒婦說：「你們各人回娘家去吧。願耶和華恩待你們，像你們恩待已死的人與我一樣！
But Na'omi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go, return each of you to her mother's house. May the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.
1:9 願耶和華使你們各在新夫家中得平安！」於是拿俄米與她們親嘴。她們就放聲而哭，
The LORD grant that you may find a home, each of you in the house of her husband!" Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept.
1:10 說：「不然，我們必與你一同回你本國去。」
And they said to her, "No, we will return with you to your people."
1:11 拿俄米說：「我女兒們哪，回去吧！為何要跟我去呢？我還能生子作你們的丈夫嗎？
But Na'omi said, "Turn back, my daughters, why will you go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb that they may become your husbands?
1:12 我女兒們哪，回去吧！我年紀老邁，不能再有丈夫；即或說，我還有指望，今夜有丈夫可以生子，
Turn back, my daughters, go your way, for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, even if I should have a husband this night and should bear sons,
1:13 你們豈能等著他們長大呢？你們豈能等著他們不嫁別人呢？我女兒們哪，不要這樣。我為你們的緣故甚是愁苦，因為耶和華伸手攻擊我。」
would you therefore wait till they were grown? Would you therefore refrain from marrying? No, my daughters, for it is exceedingly bitter to me for your sake that the hand of the LORD has gone forth against me."
1:14 兩個兒婦又放聲而哭，俄珥巴與婆婆親嘴而別，只是路得捨不得拿俄米。
Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.
1:15 拿俄米說：「看哪，你嫂子已經回她本國和她所拜的神那裡去了，你也跟著你嫂子回去吧！」
And she said, "See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law."
1:16 路得說：「不要催我回去不跟隨你。你往哪裡去，我也往那裡去；你在哪裡住宿，我也在那裡住宿；你的國就是我的國，你的 神就是我的 神。
But Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
1:17 你在哪裡死，我也在那裡死，也葬在那裡。除非死能使你我相離！不然，願耶和華重重地降罰與我。」
where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if even death parts me from you."
1:18 拿俄米見路得定意要跟隨自己去，就不再勸她了。
And when Na'omi saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more.
1:19 於是二人同行，來到伯利恆。她們到了伯利恆，合城的人就都驚訝。婦女們說：「這是拿俄米嗎？」
So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them; and the women said, "Is this Na'omi?"
1:20 拿俄米對他們說：「不要叫我拿俄米（就是甜的意思），要叫我瑪拉（就是苦的意思），因為全能者使我受了大苦。
She said to them, "Do not call me Na'omi, call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.
1:21 我滿滿地出去，耶和華使我空空地回來。耶和華降禍與我，全能者使我受苦。既是這樣，你們為何還叫我拿俄米呢？」
I went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Na'omi, when the LORD has afflicted me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?"
1:22 拿俄米和她兒婦摩押女子路得，從摩押地回來到伯利恆，正是動手割大麥的時候。
So Na'omi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.
In the days when the judges ruled there was a famine in the land, and a certain man of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons.

The name of the man was Elim'elech and the name of his wife Na'omi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chil'ion; they were Eph'rathites from Bethlehem in Judah. They went into the country of Moab and remained there.
1:3 後來拿俄米的丈夫以利米勒死了，剩下婦人和她兩個兒子。
But Elim'elech, the husband of Na'omi, died, and she was left with her two sons.
1:4 這兩個兒子娶了摩押女子為妻，一個名叫俄珥巴，一個名叫路得，在那裡住了約有十年。
These took Moabite wives; the name of the one was Orpah and the name of the other Ruth. They lived there about ten years;
1:5 瑪倫和基連二人也死了，剩下拿俄米，沒有丈夫，也沒有兒子。

But Na'omi said, "Turn back, my daughters, why will you go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb that they may become your husbands?
1:12 我女兒們哪，回去吧！我年紀老邁，不能再有丈夫；即或說，我還有指望，今夜有丈夫可以生子，
Turn back, my daughters, go your way, for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, even if I should have a husband this night and should bear sons,

She said to them, "Do not call me Na'omi, call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

I went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Na'omi, when the LORD has afflicted me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?"
1:22 拿俄米和她兒婦摩押女子路得，從摩押地回來到伯利恆，正是動手割大麥的時候。
So Na'omi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.

路得說：「不要催我回去不跟隨你。你往那裡去，我也往那裡去；你在那裡住宿，我也在那裡住宿；你的國就是我的國，你的神就是我的神。你在那裡死，我也在那裡死，也葬在那裡。除非死能使你我相離！不然，願耶和華重重的降罰與我。」（路得記 1:16-17）
回覆刪除(一) 拿俄米再三給路得自由，勸她不必再跟隨下去，但是路得卻大膽地運用婆婆給她的自由，去揀選一條跟隨婆婆, 受苦的不自由的路。
(二) 路得本是外邦人，她之認識神，必然是因從拿俄米的言行舉止，目睹神的恩惠和神的自己，故此定意揀選拿俄米的神作她的神。
(三) 從路得的話我們可以看出，她之定意跟隨拿俄米，並不是出於一時感情的衝動，而是出於深思熟慮的結果，她知道她所要面臨的將是怎樣的境遇，但是她不以為苦，反而歡然面對。綜合路得決意選擇跟隨拿俄米敬拜耶和華的心志，有下列幾點，值得我們學習的地方：
1) 「不要催我回去不跟隨你，」這是路得的「信仰的抉擇與宣告」。
2) 「你往那裏去，我也往那裏去，」路得認為在她們所行的路上，只認定神；神在那裏，她們也在那裏，無論甚麼艱難，都不能稍微移動她們的腳步。
3) 「你在那裏住宿，我也在那裏住宿，」說出路得強烈渴慕神的同在，不管何種情況，只要與神同在就是天堂，就能使她們心滿意足。這句話也表明她有受苦的心志。
4) 「你的民就是我的民，」(原文)表示她不只願意和自己民族的信仰割斷關係，且決心成為以色列民一份子，事奉耶和華神。說出信靠這位又真又活的神，一生持定祂，不再別有愛慕。
5) 「你在那裏死，我也在那裏死...除非死能使你我相離。」說出路得有一個忠心跟隨神至死不渝的心志。死亡的能力、陰府的權柄，都要在這樣的人面前顫抖。因為『他們雖至於死，也不愛惜性命』(啟十二11)。這裡意指：
是的，看到路得決意選擇跟隨拿俄米敬拜耶和華的心志，我們知道決意、要委身、要「作主的門徒」、跟隨主不是一時衝動的事，乃是一輩子的事。求主幫助我們，我們既願與主一同埋葬同復活，決志跟隨主，使我們能勝過罪的纏累與世界的誘惑，直跟到地上生命的末了。絕不在主的道路之外，另有揀選。要跟隨主，作祂的門徒，我們當背起十字架來跟隨祂。天天效法祂的死，經歷與祂『同死』同復活的能力。在生活上分別為聖，作神光明的兒女，並且彼此相愛，同甘共苦，同負一軛，多認識主，捨己。背起十字架，跟從主, 就像拿俄米生活有見證一樣，活出主自己來，吸引更多像路得的人來跟隨主。
