W3 2012-04-25 (撒上5)
經文: 撒母耳記上 5:2-4 非利士人將神的約櫃抬進大袞廟，放在大袞的旁邊。次日清早，亞實突人起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，就把大袞仍立在原處。又次日清早起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，並且大袞的頭和兩手都在門檻上折斷，只剩下大袞的殘體。
默想: 非利士人誤以為他們戰勝了以色列人，是因為他們的大袞神比以色列人所信奉的耶和華更為強大有力。耶和華為了要教導非利士人，讓他們認識耶和華才是掌管整個世界的真神，就先讓大袞神像伏倒在約櫃面前。但是非利士人就像當年埃及法老王一樣，當耶和華先使用比較緩和的方法向法老王彰顯他自己的能力時，法老王卻不知悔改而心硬，不聽耶和華的吩咐而讓以色列人可以前往西乃曠野，去敬拜侍奉耶和華。耶和華連續用了九個大災難來攻擊埃及全境，埃及法老王還是心裡剛硬而不悔改。一直到耶和華派遣天使，擊殺埃及人所有的長子之後，法老王才容許摩西帶領以色列人出埃及。等到以色列人出了埃及之後，法老王又後悔讓這一大票無酬外勞離境是一大損失，竟然親自帶領騎兵團要將以色列民追趕回埃及。耶和華在紅海顯出大能，將紅海分開讓以色列人走乾地過紅海，等到法老王所帶領的騎兵團追入紅海深處時，耶和華讓紅海的水又回流，將法老王以及騎兵團完全淹死在紅海裡面。非利士人看到他們所供奉的大袞神像伏倒在約櫃面前時，或以為是昨夜有地震讓大袞神像倒地。因此，他們就將神像扶正。耶和華第二夜就用更為嚴厲的方法來對付大袞神像，讓大袞神像不只是伏倒在約櫃面前，而是手折頸斷、殘肢散落一地。不只是大袞神像遭遇耶和華攻擊，亞實突人的身體也都長出痔瘡，疼痛難耐。非利士人比埃及人聰明，他們不必等到耶和華擊殺他們的長子或滅絕他們的國王與軍隊，就趕快尋找解決問題的方法。設法向耶和華認錯賠罪，好好將約櫃送回到以色列人境內。求主幫助我，能夠對於上帝的懲戒有敏感性，願意趁早悔改認罪，歸回到上帝的面前，以免遭受上帝更嚴重的審判。
題目: 非利士人相信每位神都有管轄範圍，因此他們將約櫃納入大袞廟內眾神之中。非利士人忽視了耶和華乃是至高無上的神，因此約櫃所到之處，眾神都必俯伏在祂之下，試想，你曾認識到所敬拜的耶和華是超乎一切的萬王之王嗎？
5:1 非利士人將 神的約櫃從以便以謝抬到亞實突。
When the Philistines captured the ark of God, they carried it from Ebene'zer to Ashdod;
5:2 非利士人將 神的約櫃抬進大袞廟，放在大袞的旁邊。
then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon.
5:3 次日清早，亞實突人起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，就把大袞仍立在原處。
And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place.
5:4 又次日清早起來，見大袞仆倒在耶和華的約櫃前，臉伏於地，並且大袞的頭和兩手都在門檻上折斷，只剩下大袞的殘體。
But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the LORD, and the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off upon the threshold; only the trunk of Dagon was left to him.
5:5 （因此，大袞的祭司和一切進亞實突、大袞廟的人都不踏大袞廟的門檻，直到今日。）
This is why the priests of Dagon and all who enter the house of Dagon do not tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.
5:6 耶和華的手重重加在亞實突人身上，敗壞他們，使他們生痔瘡。亞實突和亞實突的四境都是如此。
The hand of the LORD was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, and he terrified and afflicted them with tumors, both Ashdod and its territory.
5:7 亞實突人見這光景，就說：「以色列 神的約櫃不可留在我們這裡，因為他的手重重加在我們和我們神大袞的身上」；
And when the men of Ashdod saw how things were, they said, "The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us; for his hand is heavy upon us and upon Dagon our god."
5:8 就打發人去請非利士的眾首領來聚集，問他們說：「我們向以色列 神的約櫃應當怎樣行呢？」他們回答說：「可以將以色列 神的約櫃運到迦特去。」於是將以色列 神的約櫃運到那裡去。
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, "What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?" They answered, "Let the ark of the God of Israel be brought around to Gath." So they brought the ark of the God of Israel there.
5:9 運到之後，耶和華的手攻擊那城，使那城的人大大驚慌，無論大小都生痔瘡。
But after they had brought it around, the hand of the LORD was against the city, causing a very great panic, and he afflicted the men of the city, both young and old, so that tumors broke out upon them.
5:10 他們就把 神的約櫃送到以革倫。 神的約櫃到了，以革倫人就喊嚷起來說：「他們將以色列 神的約櫃運到我們這裡，要害我們和我們的眾民！」
So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. But when the ark of God came to Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out, "They have brought around to us the ark of the God of Israel to slay us and our people."
5:11 於是打發人去請非利士的眾首領來，說：「願你們將以色列 神的約櫃送回原處，免得害了我們和我們的眾民！」原來 神的手重重攻擊那城，城中的人有因驚慌而死的；
They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, "Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return to its own place, that it may not slay us and our people." For there was a deathly panic throughout the whole city. The hand of God was very heavy there;
5:12 未曾死的人都生了痔瘡。合城呼號，聲音上達於天。
the men who did not die were stricken with tumors, and the cry of the city went up to heaven.

回覆刪除「我所吩咐獻在我居所的祭物，你們為何踐踏？尊重你的兒子過於尊重我，將我民以色列所獻美好的祭物肥己呢？因此，耶和華以色列的神說：『我曾說，你和你父家必永遠行在我面前；現在我卻說，決不容你們這樣行。因為尊重我的，我必重看他；藐視我的，他必被輕視」。（撒上 2:29-30）
非利士人一點也不明白，他們以為擄獲了約櫃，就已經真的把以色列的「神」也俘擄了。約櫃先被抬到非利士人的首座城亞實突，後將約櫃抬進大袞廟，放在大袞神像的旁邊（撒上5：2），將真神與偶像放在一起。次日清早，非利士人見大袞僕倒在神的約櫃前。臉伏于地，這證明了真神的地位與權能。非利士人却决定要大袞，不要約櫃，將約櫃再行送還，即不懂得離棄偶像歸向真神。
世界上沒有什麽用手雕刻的偶像（人拿來拜的神）可與真神有站在同等的地位，因爲獨一的真神，祂的地位是超乎一切之上的。祂不論在國中，在家中，或在個人的心目中永遠都當居首位。我們若看重祂，祂必重看我們；藐視祂的，他必被輕視。不尊重三位一體獨一的真神（耶和華），就表示我們沒有尊祂爲大。還有其他的東西取代祂的地位，這是神所不允許的。
求主幫助我們，省察自己，看看我們心中的有那些事物居首位？工作，金錢，地位，財富，名利，權勢，家庭，有那件事佔去我們大半的時間，以致我們不能親近主，不能和神有親密的交通？每主日，有那些事物使得我們不能敬拜神？若有，那這些事或物，或人，就成為我們的偶像，它仍在我們的心上居首位，雖願意神來到我們心中，但把神放在次位，如果我們人存著這樣的心，我們不尊重神，不認識祂，我們的服事和敬拜，只是表面的，是决不能蒙神喜悅的。
