經文: 馬可福音 8:5-8 耶穌問他們說：「你們有多少餅？」他們說：「七個。」他吩咐眾人坐在地上，就拿著這七個餅祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒，叫他們擺開，門徒就擺在眾人面前。又有幾條小魚；耶穌祝了福，就吩咐也擺在眾人面前。眾人都吃，並且吃飽了，收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。
默想: 主耶穌看見這一大群跟隨他聽道的群眾餓著肚子，就憐憫他們，要門徒設法給他們準備吃的食物止饑。門徒看到實際的難處，這裡是野地，沒有地方可以買餅。主耶穌卻問他們，你們有多少餅？他們總共才有七個餅。主耶穌就叫眾人坐在地上，然後主耶穌就拿這七個餅祝謝、擘開、遞給門徒，門徒擺在眾人面前，連幾條小魚也同樣方法處理。想不到眾人都吃飽了，而且還收拾到七筐子的零碎。主耶穌啊！求你幫助我們，能夠對於周遭有難處的朋友發出憐憫的心腸，求你也幫助我們看到要幫助他們實際上所會遭遇的挑戰與困難，更讓我們看到神所賞賜給我們的資源與恩典，並且願意將這些擺上，放在主的手裡，接受主的祝福，但願我們也能夠經歷將一切所有全獻給主，加上主的祝福以後所產生的供應眾人吃飽而且有餘的神蹟。在這一切之後，求主幫助我們，不要因為上帝賞賜超豐盛的恩典就隨便浪費，讓我們願意將有餘的部份妥善收拾起來，以供給將來或是其他的人的須要。
題目: 34-38節，耶穌激勵門徒背起十架來跟從主，你認為這個「十架」指的是什麼？之於你個人又是什麼？
8:1 那時，又有許多人聚集，並沒有甚麼吃的。耶穌叫門徒來，說：
In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him, and said to them,
8:2 我憐憫這眾人；因為他們同我在這裡已經三天，也沒有吃的了。
"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat;
8:3 我若打發他們餓著回家，就必在路上困乏，因為其中有從遠處來的。
and if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come a long way."
8:4 門徒回答說：在這野地，從那裡能得餅，叫這些人吃飽呢？
And his disciples answered him, "How can one feed these men with bread here in the desert?"
8:5 耶穌問他們說：你們有多少餅？他們說：七個。
And he asked them, "How many loaves have you?" They said, "Seven."
8:6 他吩咐眾人坐在地上，就拿著這七個餅祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒，叫他們擺開，門徒就擺在眾人面前。
And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.
8:7 又有幾條小魚；耶穌祝了福，就吩咐也擺在眾人面前。
And they had a few small fish; and having blessed them, he commanded that these also should be set before them.
8:8 眾人都吃，並且吃飽了，收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。
And they ate, and were satisfied; and they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.
8:9 人數約有四千。耶穌打發他們走了，
And there were about four thousand people.
8:10 隨即同門徒上船，來到大瑪努他境內。
And he sent them away; and immediately he got into the boat with his disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanu'tha.
8:11 法利賽人出來盤問耶穌，求他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看，想要試探他。
The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him.
8:12 耶穌心裡深深的歎息，說：這世代為甚麼求神蹟呢？我實在告訴你們，沒有神蹟給這世代看。
And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."
8:13 他就離開他們，又上船往海那邊去了。
And he left them, and getting into the boat again he departed to the other side.
8:14 門徒忘了帶餅；在船上除了一個餅，沒有別的食物。
Now they had forgotten to bring bread; and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.
8:15 耶穌囑咐他們說：你們要謹慎，防備法利賽人的酵和希律的酵。
And he cautioned them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod."
8:16 他們彼此議論說：這是因為我們沒有餅吧。
And they discussed it with one another, saying, "We have no bread."
8:17 耶穌看出來，就說：你們為甚麼因為沒有餅就議論呢？你們還不省悟，還不明白麼？你們的心還是愚頑麼？
And being aware of it, Jesus said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?
8:18 你們有眼睛，看不見嗎？有耳朵，聽不見嗎？也不記得嗎？
Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?
8:19 我擘開那五個餅分給五千人，你們收拾的零碎裝滿了多少籃子呢？他們說：十二個。
When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They said to him, "Twelve."
8:20 又擘開那七個餅分給四千人，你們收拾的零碎裝滿了多少筐子呢？他們說：七個。
"And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" And they said to him, "Seven."
8:21 耶穌說：你們還是不明白嗎？
And he said to them, "Do you not yet understand?"
8:22 他們來到伯賽大，有人帶一個瞎子來，求耶穌摸他。
And they came to Beth-sa'ida. And some people brought to him a blind man, and begged him to touch him.
8:23 耶穌拉著瞎子的手，領他到村外，就吐唾沫在他眼睛上，按手在他身上，問他說：你看見甚麼了？
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, "Do you see anything?"
8:24 他就抬頭一看，說：我看見人了；他們好像樹木，並且行走。
And he looked up and said, "I see men; but they look like trees, walking."
8:25 隨後又按手在他眼睛上，他定睛一看，就復了原，樣樣都看得清楚了。
Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and saw everything clearly.
8:26 耶穌打發他回家，說：連這村子你也不要進去。
And he sent him away to his home, saying, "Do not even enter the village."
8:27 耶穌和門徒出去，往凱撒利亞•腓立比的村莊去；在路上問門徒說：人說我是誰？
And Jesus went on with his disciples, to the villages of Caesare'a Philip'pi; and on the way he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that I am?"
8:28 他們說：有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是先知裡的一位。
And they told him, "John the Baptist; and others say, Eli'jah; and others one of the prophets."
8:29 又問他們說：你們說我是誰？彼得回答說：你是基督。
And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "You are the Christ."
8:30 耶穌就禁戒他們，不要告訴人。
And he charged them to tell no one about him.
8:31 從此，他教訓他們說：人子必須受許多的苦，被長老、祭司長，和文士棄絕，並且被殺，過三天復活。
And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
8:32 耶穌明明的說這話，彼得就拉著他，勸他。
And he said this plainly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
8:33 耶穌轉過來，看著門徒，就責備彼得說：撒但，退我後邊去吧！因為你不體貼 神的意思，只體貼人的意思。
But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are not on the side of God, but of men."
8:34 於是叫眾人和門徒來，對他們說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。
And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
8:35 因為，凡要救自己生命（或作：靈魂；下同）的，必喪掉生命；凡為我和福音喪掉生命的，必救了生命。
For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.
8:36 人就是賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麼益處呢？
For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
8:37 人還能拿甚麼換生命呢？
For what can a man give in return for his life?
8:38 凡在這淫亂罪惡的世代，把我和我的道當作可恥的，人子在他父的榮耀裡，同聖天使降臨的時候，也要把那人當作可恥的。
For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of man also be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him, and said to them,
8:2 我憐憫這眾人；因為他們同我在這裡已經三天，也沒有吃的了。
"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat;
8:3 我若打發他們餓著回家，就必在路上困乏，因為其中有從遠處來的。
and if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come a long way."
8:4 門徒回答說：在這野地，從那裡能得餅，叫這些人吃飽呢？

8:7 又有幾條小魚；耶穌祝了福，就吩咐也擺在眾人面前。
And they had a few small fish; and having blessed them, he commanded that these also should be set before them.
8:8 眾人都吃，並且吃飽了，收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。
And they ate, and were satisfied; and they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.
8:9 人數約有四千。耶穌打發他們走了，
And there were about four thousand people.
8:10 隨即同門徒上船，來到大瑪努他境內。
And he sent them away; and immediately he got into the boat with his disciples, and went to the district of Dalmanu'tha.
8:11 法利賽人出來盤問耶穌，求他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看，想要試探他。
The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him.
8:12 耶穌心裡深深的歎息，說：這世代為甚麼求神蹟呢？我實在告訴你們，沒有神蹟給這世代看。

8:22 他們來到伯賽大，有人帶一個瞎子來，求耶穌摸他。

馬可福音 8:34 於是叫眾人和門徒來，對他們說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我」。同樣地，加拉太書 6:14 也告訴我們：「但我斷不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架；因這十字架，就我而論，世界已經釘在十字架上；就世界而論，我已經釘在十字架上」。這個「十字架」（原文σταυρός ；To bear the cross）的意思。在羅馬時代，將奴隸和罪犯的雙手和雙腳用鐵釘，釘在「十字架」上，讓後將「十字架」豎立起來，把整個身子的重量掛在兩隻手腕和雙腳心與兩根垂直的木頭上，這個被釘的人，慢慢地流血，直到雙腳無法撐起全身的重量，掛在「十字架」而死。這是最可怕的和痛苦折磨。
回覆刪除這個「十字架」在此是指接受那因拒絕世界上的事所帶來的結果，進而轉向耶穌基督，跟從祂作主的門徒。（to accept the rejection of the world for turning to Jesus and following him）. 跟從祂作主的門徒是要「捨己」，要付代價的，有可能為主捨命就像主被釘在十字架上。
對我的提醒：就像約翰一書 2:16～17 節所說的：「因為凡世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾，眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲，都不是從父來的，乃是從世界來的。這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行神旨意的，是永遠常存」。作個得救的基督徒，從受洗重生後，要學基督有新生的樣式，必須先從「捨己」做起，背起「十字架」，跟從祂作主的門徒。這個「捨己」，就是把「老我」釘在十字架上死了，除去「凡世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾，眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲」，全部與主的身體/死一起釘在十字架上，與主同埋葬，藉著洗禮與主同復活，活出新的生命。說實在的，作個真正的基督徒，是要付代價的；它和學問，學位，名利，地位，聖經知識多寡無關，我們若「真正相信」聖經的教導，上帝的話，我們就願意像馬太福音 6:33 所說的：「你們要先求他的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了」； 不再看重世界的事，願意「捨己」，背起「十字架」，跟從主作祂的門徒，在生活中經歷上帝，榮耀祂的名。
