經文: 民數記 24:9 他蹲如公獅，臥如母獅，誰敢惹他？凡給你祝福的，願他蒙福；凡咒詛你的，願他受咒詛。
默想: 巴蘭在經過天使拿劍在路上要殺他的警告事件之後，真的不感任意妄為，為了要得到巴勒的賞金，就照巴勒的期待而咒詛以色列人。巴蘭忠心的將耶和華所啟示他有關祝福以色列人的話以詩歌的方式述說出來。在這裡我們看到巴蘭說，凡給你祝福的，願他蒙福；凡咒詛你的願他受咒詛。這句話，正是耶和華在呼召亞伯拉罕出哈蘭，前往迦南地時，對亞伯拉罕所說的應許之一。可見成為神的選民，不一定會得到大家一致的肯定與接納。做為耶和華的選民，不能逃避成為爭議人物的命運。但是，耶和華向我們應許，他會成為我們的依靠與保障。求主賞賜給我坦然面對被咒詛的勇氣，以及專心倚靠你的信心。
題目: v.15-24巴蘭第四次詩預言將來所要發生的事是什麼？你有何學習與看法？
24:1 巴蘭見耶和華喜歡賜福與以色列，就不像前兩次去求法術，卻面向曠野。
When Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not go, as at other times, to look for omens, but set his face toward the wilderness.
24:2 巴蘭舉目，看見以色列人照著支派居住。 神的靈就臨到他身上，
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and saw Israel encamping tribe by tribe. And the Spirit of God came upon him,
24:3 他便題起詩歌說：比珥的兒子巴蘭說，眼目閉住（閉住或作：睜開）的人說，
and he took up his discourse, and said, "The oracle of Balaam the son of Be'or, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
24:4 得聽 神的言語，得見全能者的異象，眼目睜開而仆倒的人說：
the oracle of him who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, but having his eyes uncovered:
24:5 雅各啊，你的帳棚何等華美！以色列啊，你的帳幕何其華麗！
how fair are your tents, O Jacob, your encampments, O Israel!
24:6 如接連的山谷，如河旁的園子，如耶和華所栽的沉香樹，如水邊的香柏木。
Like valleys that stretch afar, like gardens beside a river, like aloes that the LORD has planted, like cedar trees beside the waters.
24:7 水要從他的桶裡流出；種子要撒在多水之處。他的王必超過亞甲；他的國必要振興。
Water shall flow from his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
24:8 神領他出埃及；他似乎有野牛之力。他要吞喫敵國，折斷他們的骨頭，用箭射透他們。
God brings him out of Egypt; he has as it were the horns of the wild ox, he shall eat up the nations his adversaries, and shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them through with his arrows.
24:9 他蹲如公獅，臥如母獅，誰敢惹他？凡給你祝福的，願他蒙福；凡咒詛你的，願他受咒詛。
He couched, he lay down like a lion, and like a lioness; who will rouse him up? Blessed be every one who blesses you, and cursed be every one who curses you."
24:10 巴勒向巴蘭生氣，就拍起手來，對巴蘭說：「我召你來為我咒詛仇敵，不料，你這三次竟為他們祝福。
And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, "I called you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them these three times.
24:11 如今你快回本地去吧！我想使你得大尊榮，耶和華卻阻止你不得尊榮。」
Therefore now flee to your place; I said, `I will certainly honor you,' but the LORD has held you back from honor."
24:12 巴蘭對巴勒說：「我豈不是對你所差遣到我那裡的使者說：
And Balaam said to Balak, "Did I not tell your messengers whom you sent to me,
24:13 『巴勒就是將他滿屋的金銀給我，我也不得越過耶和華的命，憑自己的心意行好行歹。耶和華說甚麼，我就要說甚麼？』
`If Balak should give me his house full of silver and gold, I would not be able to go beyond the word of the LORD, to do either good or bad of my own will; what the LORD speaks, that will I speak'?
24:14 「現在我要回本族去。你來，我告訴你這民日後要怎樣待你的民。」
And now, behold, I am going to my people; come, I will let you know what this people will do to your people in the latter days."
24:15 他就題起詩歌說：比珥的兒子巴蘭說：眼目閉住（閉住或作：睜開）的人說，
And he took up his discourse, and said, "The oracle of Balaam the son of Be'or, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
24:16 得聽 神的言語，明白至高者的意旨，看見全能者的異象，眼目睜開而仆倒的人說：
the oracle of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, but having his eyes uncovered:
24:17 我看他卻不在現時；我望他卻不在近日。有星要出於雅各，有杖要興於以色列，必打破摩押的四角，毀壞擾亂之子。
I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not nigh: a star shall come forth out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel; it shall crush the forehead of Moab, and break down all the sons of Sheth.
24:18 他必得以東為基業，又得仇敵之地西珥為產業；以色列必行事勇敢。
Edom shall be dispossessed, Se'ir also, his enemies, shall be dispossessed, while Israel does valiantly.
24:19 有一位出於雅各的，必掌大權；他要除滅城中的餘民。
By Jacob shall dominion be exercised, and the survivors of cities be destroyed!"
24:20 巴蘭觀看亞瑪力，就題起詩歌說：亞瑪力原為諸國之首，但他終必沉淪。
Then he looked on Am'alek, and took up his discourse, and said, "Am'alek was the first of the nations, but in the end he shall come to destruction."
24:21 巴蘭觀看基尼人，就題起詩歌說：你的住處本是堅固；你的窩巢做在巖穴中。
And he looked on the Ken'ite, and took up his discourse, and said, "Enduring is your dwelling place, and your nest is set in the rock;
24:22 然而基尼必至衰微，直到亞述把你擄去。
nevertheless Kain shall be wasted. How long shall Asshur take you away captive?"
24:23 巴蘭又題起詩歌說：哀哉！ 神行這事，誰能得活？
And he took up his discourse, and said, "Alas, who shall live when God does this?
24:24 必有人乘船從基提界而來，苦害亞述，苦害希伯；他也必至沉淪。
But ships shall come from Kittim and shall afflict Asshur and Eber; and he also shall come to destruction."
24:25 於是巴蘭起來，回他本地去；巴勒也回去了。
Then Balaam rose, and went back to his place; and Balak also went his way.

這是巴蘭第四個，也是最後的預言。論及列國的命運，摩押人和米甸人就像迦南各民族一樣，憎恨以色列人，害怕以色列人會把他們趕盡殺絕。最能把以色列在上帝的計劃裏的超越地位描繪出來。當然他是在耶和華上帝的引導下才能說出這樣的預言。
回覆刪除1. 20節 「亞瑪力」：居住在南地的民族。他們與以色列人的爭戰歷來互有勝敗（12:13節; 出17:8節; 撒上14:48節），但終被滅絕。 （撒上15:3節, 8節）
2. 21節 「基尼人」：米甸的一族，在沙漠的岩洞居住，和以色列人有良好友誼，住在猶大支派中（士1:16節）。
3. 22節 「亞述」：或作亞書利 （創25:3節; 撒下2:9節），是迦南的一族，而不是把以色列擄去外邦的大國。
4. 24節 「基提」：賽普勒斯島上的一座城，此處所提及的民族是非利士人，通指羅馬人（任何當時的外國勢力），他們在西元前一千二百年佔據埃及和迦南地沿岸的地土，苦害亞書利人和希伯來人，後來也敗在大衛王的手中。
在預言裏，「以東」與摩押的滅亡，「亞瑪力」，和「基尼」(就是米甸)， 都被上帝懲罰。最特出的是，在民數記24：24節說：『必有人乘船從基提界而來，苦害亞述，苦害希伯。他也必至沉淪。』 巴蘭預言，『基提』通指羅馬人（任何當時的外國勢力）的興起，預言亞瑪力人將受的刑罰與敗亡；基尼人的衰弱；而最後他預言了亞述與希伯的傾覆。故巴蘭預言中提到列國的結局是恰當的。
到了第四次最後的預言，上帝藉著巴蘭的口向對付上帝的人宣告更大的事，『我看他不在現時，我望他卻不在近日。有星要出於雅各，有杖要興於以色列。……有一位出於雅各的，必掌大權。』（民數記24：17、19）在上帝的計劃中，以色列必因主而得堅立，列國都不能越過以色列。這是國度顯現的宣告，國度的王要從以色列中興起，管理全地。
