經文: 民數記 25:1-3 以色列人住在什亭，百姓與摩押女子行起淫亂。因為這女子叫百姓來，一同給他們的神獻祭，百姓就吃他們的祭物，跪拜他們的神。以色列人與巴力毗珥連合，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。
默想: 巴蘭外表看起來，經過三番兩次築壇要為巴勒咒詛以色列民時，由於耶和華的介入，每次的咒詛嘗試，都被轉化成為祝福。聖經說，巴蘭起來，回本地去了。巴勒也回去了。表面上看起來，這次的巴蘭巴勒危機，似乎在上帝保守之下，已經安全的渡過了。但是在本章經文一開始，我們卻看到以色列民住在什亭，百姓與摩押女子行起淫亂，跪拜他們的神明，激起耶和華忌邪的忿怒，並招致瘟疫的懲罰。但是，我們如果小心看聖經，就會發現，在舊約民數記31章16節與新約啟示錄2章14節，都很清楚的提到，這個拜偶像淫亂事件是巴蘭回去之後，所想出來並且教導巴勒的一個陰謀。巴蘭既然無法得到耶和華的同意而咒詛以色列人，就設法誘惑以色列人犯拜偶像與淫亂的罪，惹耶和華的忿怒，如此，以色列人就會遭遇耶和華的懲治，巴勒也達到他的目標了。撒旦也常常使用同樣的技倆，在撒旦無法直接正面成功的攻擊傷害我們的時候，他會設法採用間接背面的誘惑，讓我們犯罪而失去耶和華的祝福與保護，然後撒旦就可以成功的上帝面前控訴我們。求主保守我，好讓我能夠看穿撒旦的詭計，保守自己在上帝的恩典中，不要陷入撒旦的試探中而跌倒犯罪。

25:1 以色列人住在什亭，百姓與摩押女子行起淫亂。
While Israel dwelt in Shittim the people began to play the harlot with the daughters of Moab.
25:2 因為這女子叫百姓來，一同給她們的神獻祭，百姓就吃她們的祭物，跪拜她們的神。
These invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate, and bowed down to their gods.
25:3 以色列人與巴力毗珥連合，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。
So Israel yoked himself to Ba'al of Pe'or. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel;
25:4 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「將百姓中所有的族長在我面前對著日頭懸掛，使我向以色列人所發的怒氣可以消了。」
and the LORD said to Moses, "Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them in the sun before the LORD, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel."
25:5 於是摩西吩咐以色列的審判官說：「凡屬你們的人，有與巴力毗珥連合的，你們各人要把他們殺了。」
And Moses said to the judges of Israel, "Every one of you slay his men who have yoked themselves to Ba'al of Pe'or."
25:6 摩西和以色列全會眾正在會幕門前哭泣的時候，誰知，有以色列中的一個人，當他們眼前，帶著一個米甸女人到他弟兄那裡去。
And behold, one of the people of Israel came and brought a Mid'ianite woman to his family, in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole congregation of the people of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the tent of meeting.
25:7 祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈看見了，就從會中起來，手裡拿著槍，
When Phin'ehas the son of Elea'zar, son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose and left the congregation, and took a spear in his hand
25:8 跟隨那以色列人進亭子裡去，便將以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。這樣，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。
and went after the man of Israel into the inner room, and pierced both of them, the man of Israel and the woman, through her body. Thus the plague was stayed from the people of Israel.
25:9 那時遭瘟疫死的，有二萬四千人。
Nevertheless those that died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.
25:10 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
And the LORD said to Moses,
25:11 「祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所發的怒消了；因他在他們中間，以我的忌邪為心，使我不在忌邪中把他們除滅。
"Phin'ehas the son of Elea'zar, son of Aaron the priest, has turned back my wrath from the people of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the people of Israel in my jealousy.
25:12 因此，你要說：『我將我平安的約賜給他。
Therefore say, `Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace;
25:13 這約要給他和他的後裔，作為永遠當祭司職任的約；因他為 神有忌邪的心，為以色列人贖罪。』」
and it shall be to him, and to his descendants after him, the covenant of a perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the people of Israel.'"
25:14 那與米甸女人一同被殺的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的兒子，是西緬一個宗族的首領。
The name of the slain man of Israel, who was slain with the Mid'ianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, head of a fathers' house belonging to the Simeonites.
25:15 那被殺的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是蘇珥的女兒；這蘇珥是米甸一個宗族的首領。
And the name of the Mid'ianite woman who was slain was Cozbi the daughter of Zur, who was the head of the people of a fathers' house in Mid'ian.
25:16 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
And the LORD said to Moses,
25:17 「你要擾害米甸人，擊殺他們；
"Harass the Mid'ianites, and smite them;
25:18 因為他們用詭計擾害你們，在毗珥的事上和他們的姊妹、米甸首領的女兒哥斯比的事上，用這詭計誘惑了你們；這哥斯比，當瘟疫流行的日子，因毘珥的事被殺了。」
for they have harassed you with their wiles, with which they beguiled you in the matter of Pe'or, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Mid'ian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague on account of Pe'or."
While Israel dwelt in Shittim the people began to play the harlot with the daughters of Moab.

非尼哈(Phinehas)是祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子，非尼哈認識神，他知道耶和華是忌邪的神。他以耶和華的忌邪為心，他痛恨罪惡，是個「耶和華與他同在」，也是個帶領以色列人尋求上主的旨意的人（士20：27-28節）。他對耶和華之熱心在這裏藉著他的比較殘酷地闖入一個人的帳棚的寢室，用矛刺透那一對犯性行為罪的男女之行動，竟然止息瘟疫。證明祭司保守會眾聖潔的職事，是帶有代贖功能的。
回覆刪除非尼哈的忠心行爲，目的是神的榮耀和以色列人的好處。那時是危急時刻，他覺得要最強硬的行動，不容他優柔寡斷。在神百姓歷史中，多次人的寡斷，成爲對神的不忠。信徒必須分辨這些時刻。非尼哈的果斷行動救了全會衆，叫耶和華在百姓中得著榮耀，並全面粉碎仇敵的惡計。巴蘭最後倒在受審判的米甸人中，但非尼哈卻得著永遠的祭司職分。
作為對他的忠心的肯定，耶和華賜給非尼哈一個『平安的約』（參見賽五十四10，瑪二4-5）。它將祭司職任的約賜給非尼哈，這約稱為「平安的約」（民數記 25: 12節），因為祭司的職事使神與人和好。正如路易斯（C. S. Lewis） 所指出的，如果我們自稱為主的門徒，我們要好像『小基督』那樣。我們必須在我們所處不正義的世界之中禱告，在各種的『貧與富』之間的差距愈來愈大中禱告， 在世俗主義和多元論盛行之中禱告，甚至在教會中出現的罪惡之中禱告，上帝將會使我們為祂大發熱心，但是要像祂的兒子從前所指示我們的，而不像非尼哈所作的 那樣。然後我們可以確實地經歷祂的『平安之約』在我們的生活中。──《每日研經叢書》
