經文: 創世紀 35:4 他們就把外邦人的神像和他們耳朵上的環子交給雅各；雅各都藏在示劍那裡的橡樹底下。
默想: 雅各的家人還是各自有外邦神明的神像，可見雅各的信仰，並沒有辦法帶領全家一起侍奉耶和華。約書亞向以色列人自我告白，至於我和我一家，我們必定侍奉耶和華。求主也將這樣的恩典賞賜給我。
題目: 35：1-15與28：10-22，雅各兩次在伯特利與神會遇和立約，有何異同之處？你有何學習？
35:1 神對雅各說：「起來！上伯特利去，住在那裡；要在那裡築一座壇給 神，就是你逃避你哥哥以掃的時候向你顯現的那位。」
God said to Jacob, "Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there; and make there an altar to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau."
35:2 雅各就對他家中的人並一切與他同在的人說：「你們要除掉你們中間的外邦神，也要自潔，更換衣裳。
So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Put away the foreign gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments;
35:3 我們要起來，上伯特利去，在那裡我要築一座壇給 神，就是在我遭難的日子應允我的禱告、在我行的路上保佑我的那位。」
then let us arise and go up to Bethel, that I may make there an altar to the God who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone."
35:4 他們就把外邦人的神像和他們耳朵上的環子交給雅各；雅各都藏在示劍那裡的橡樹底下。
So they gave to Jacob all the foreign gods that they had, and the rings that were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was near Shechem.
35:5 他們便起行前往。 神使那周圍城邑的人都甚驚懼，就不追趕雅各的眾子了。
And as they journeyed, a terror from God fell upon the cities that were round about them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.
35:6 於是雅各和一切與他同在的人到了迦南地的路斯，就是伯特利。
And Jacob came to Luz (that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him,
35:7 他在那裡築了一座壇，就給那地方起名叫伊勒‧伯特利【就是伯特利之 神的意思】；因為他逃避他哥哥的時候， 神在那裡向他顯現。
and there he built an altar, and called the place El-bethel, because there God had revealed himself to him when he fled from his brother.
35:8 利百加的奶母底波拉死了，就葬在伯特利下邊橡樹底下；那棵樹名叫亞倫‧巴古。
And Deb'orah, Rebekah's nurse, died, and she was buried under an oak below Bethel ; so the name of it was called Al'lon-bacuth.
35:9 雅各從巴旦‧亞蘭回來， 神又向他顯現，賜福與他，
God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him.
35:10 且對他說：「你的名原是雅各，從今以後不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列。」這樣，他就改名叫以色列。
And God said to him, "Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name." So his name was called Israel .
35:11 神又對他說：「我是全能的 神；你要生養眾多，將來有一族和多國的民從你而生，又有君王從你而出。
And God said to him, "I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall spring from you.
35:12 我所賜給亞伯拉罕和以撒的地，我要賜給你與你的後裔。」
The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your descendants after you."
35:13 神就從那與雅各說話的地方升上去了。
Then God went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him.
35:14 雅各便在那裡立了一根石柱，在柱子上奠酒，澆油。
And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone; and he poured out a drink offering on it, and poured oil on it.
35:15 雅各就給那地方起名叫伯特利。
So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him, Bethel .
35:16 他們從伯特利起行，離以法他還有一段路程，拉結臨產甚是艱難。
Then they journeyed from Bethel ; and when they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor.
35:17 正在艱難的時候，收生婆對她說：「不要怕，你又要得一個兒子了。」
And when she was in her hard labor, the midwife said to her, "Fear not; for now you will have another son."
35:18 她將近於死，靈魂要走的時候，就給她兒子起名叫便俄尼；他父親卻給他起名叫便雅憫。
And as her soul was departing (for she died), she called his name Ben-o'ni; but his father called his name Benjamin.
35:19 拉結死了，葬在以法他的路旁；以法他就是伯利恆。
So Rachel died, and she was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem),
35:20 雅各在她的墳上立了一統碑，就是拉結的墓碑，到今日還在。
and Jacob set up a pillar upon her grave; it is the pillar of Rachel's tomb, which is there to this day.
35:21 以色列起行前往，在以得臺那邊支搭帳棚。
Israel journeyed on, and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder .
35:22 以色列住在那地的時候，流便去與他父親的妾辟拉同寢，以色列也聽見了。雅各共有十二個兒子。
While Israel dwelt in that land Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine; and Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve.
35:23 利亞所生的是雅各的長子流便，還有西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、西布倫。
The sons of Leah: Reuben (Jacob's first-born), Simeon, Levi , Judah , Is'sachar, and Zeb'ulun.
35:24 拉結所生的是約瑟、便雅憫。
The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
35:25 拉結的使女辟拉所生的是但、拿弗他利。
The sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maid: Dan and Naph'tali.
35:26 利亞的使女悉帕所生的是迦得、亞設。這是雅各在巴旦‧亞蘭所生的兒子。
The sons of Zilpah, Leah's maid: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram.
35:27 雅各來到他父親以撒那裡，到了基列‧亞巴的幔利，乃是亞伯拉罕和以撒寄居的地方；基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙。
And Jacob came to his father Isaac at Mamre, or Kir'iath-ar'ba (that is, Hebron ), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned.
35:28 以撒共活了一百八十歲。
Now the days of Isaac were a hundred and eighty years.
35:29 以撒年紀老邁，日子滿足，氣絕而死，歸到他列祖【原文作本民】那裡。他兩個兒子以掃、雅各把他埋葬了。
And Isaac breathed his last; and he died and was gathered to his people, old and full of days; and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

經文: 瑪拉基書 1:6 「藐視我名的祭司啊，萬軍之耶和華對你們說：兒子尊敬父親，僕人敬畏主人；我既為父親，尊敬我的在那裡呢？我既為主人，敬畏我的在那裡呢？你們卻說：『我們在何事上藐視你的名呢？』
默想: 祭司本來是蒙耶和華特別揀選，專職帶領以色列人來敬拜侍奉耶和華。但是很遺憾的，祭司卻失去了對於耶和華的敬愛與敬畏，甚至藐視耶和華的名。求主幫助我，讓我一生都尊你
的名為聖，一生都盡力活出榮耀神的生活。
題目：你從本段經文中是否看出我們的宗教生活與倫理生活有密切的關係？
1:1 耶和華藉瑪拉基傳給以色列的默示。
The oracle of the word of the LORD to Israel by Mal'achi.
1:2 耶和華說：「我曾愛你們。」你們卻說：「你在何事上愛我們呢？」耶和華說：「以掃不是雅各的哥哥嗎？我卻愛雅各，
"I have loved you," says the LORD. But you say, "How hast thou loved us?" "Is not Esau Jacob's brother?" says the LORD. "Yet I have loved Jacob
1:3 惡以掃，使他的山嶺荒涼，把他的地業交給曠野的野狗。」
but I have hated Esau; I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert."
1:4 以東人說：「我們現在雖被毀壞，卻要重建荒廢之處。」萬軍之耶和華如此說：「任他們建造，我必拆毀；人必稱他們的地為『罪惡之境』；稱他們的民為『耶和華永遠惱怒之民』。」
If Edom says, "We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins," the LORD of hosts says, "They may build, but I will tear down, till they are called the wicked country, the people with whom the LORD is angry for ever."
1:5 你們必親眼看見，也必說：「願耶和華在以色列境界之外被尊為大！」
Your own eyes shall see this, and you shall say, "Great is the LORD, beyond the border of Israel!"
1:6 「藐視我名的祭司啊，萬軍之耶和華對你們說：兒子尊敬父親，僕人敬畏主人；我既為父親，尊敬我的在哪裡呢？我既為主人，敬畏我的在哪裡呢？你們卻說：『我們在何事上藐視你的名呢？』
"A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. You say, `How have we despised thy name?'
1:7 你們將污穢的食物獻在我的壇上，且說：『我們在何事上污穢你呢？』因你們說，耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。
By offering polluted food upon my altar. And you say, `How have we polluted it?' By thinking that the LORD's table may be despised.
1:8 你們將瞎眼的獻為祭物，這不為惡嗎？將瘸腿的、有病的獻上，這不為惡嗎？你獻給你的省長，他豈喜悅你，豈能看你的情面嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
When you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that no evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that no evil? Present that to your governor; will he be pleased with you or show you favor? says the LORD of hosts.
1:9 「現在我勸你們懇求 神，他好施恩與我們。這妄獻的事，既由你們經手，他豈能看你們的情面嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the LORD of hosts.
1:10 甚願你們中間有一人關上殿門，免得你們徒然在我壇上燒火。萬軍之耶和華說：我不喜悅你們，也不從你們手中收納供物。
Oh, that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire upon my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hand.
1:11 萬軍之耶和華說：從日出之地到日落之處，我的名在外邦中必尊為大。在各處，人必奉我的名燒香，獻潔淨的供物，因為我的名在外邦中必尊為大。
For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure offering; for my name is great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.
1:12 你們卻褻瀆我的名，說：『耶和華的桌子是污穢的，其上的食物是可藐視的。』
But you profane it when you say that the LORD's table is polluted, and the food for it may be despised.
1:13 你們又說：『這些事何等煩瑣！』並嗤之以鼻。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。你們把搶奪的、瘸腿的、有病的拿來獻上為祭。我豈能從你們手中收納呢？這是耶和華說的。
`What a weariness this is,' you say, and you sniff at me, says the LORD of hosts. You bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! Shall I accept that from your hand? says the LORD.
1:14 行詭詐的在群中有公羊，他許願卻用有殘疾的獻給主，這人是可咒詛的。因為我是大君王，我的名在外邦中是可畏的。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
Cursed be the cheat who has a male in his flock, and vows it, and yet sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished; for I am a great King, says the LORD of hosts, and my name is feared among the nations.
2:1 「眾祭司啊，這誡命是傳給你們的。
"And now, O priests, this command is for you.
2:2 萬軍之耶和華說：你們若不聽從，也不放在心上，將榮耀歸與我的名，我就使咒詛臨到你們，使你們的福分變為咒詛；因你們不把誡命放在心上，我已經咒詛你們了。
If you will not listen, if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to my name, says the LORD of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; indeed I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.
2:3 我必斥責你們的種子，又把你們犧牲的糞抹在你們的臉上；你們要與糞一同除掉。
Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung upon your faces, the dung of your offerings, and I will put you out of my presence.
2:4 你們就知道我傳這誡命給你們，使我與利未（或譯：利未人）所立的約可以常存。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
So shall you know that I have sent this command to you, that my covenant with Levi may hold, says the LORD of hosts.
2:5 我曾與他立生命和平安的約。我將這兩樣賜給他，使他存敬畏的心，他就敬畏我，懼怕我的名。
My covenant with him was a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him, that he might fear; and he feared me, he stood in awe of my name.
2:6 真實的律法在他口中，他嘴裡沒有不義的話。他以平安和正直與我同行，使多人回頭離開罪孽。
True instruction was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.
2:7 祭司的嘴裡當存知識，人也當由他口中尋求律法，因為他是萬軍之耶和華的使者。
For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
2:8 你們卻偏離正道，使許多人在律法上跌倒。你們廢棄我與利未所立的約。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
But you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the LORD of hosts,
2:9 所以我使你們被眾人藐視，看為下賤；因你們不守我的道，竟在律法上瞻徇情面。
and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you have not kept my ways but have shown partiality in your instruction."
2:10 我們豈不都是一位父麼？豈不是一位 神所造的麼？我們各人怎麼以詭詐待弟兄，背棄了 神與我們列祖所立的約呢？
Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
2:11 猶大人行事詭詐，並且在以色列和耶路撒冷中行一件可憎的事；因為猶大人褻瀆耶和華所喜愛的聖潔（或譯：聖地），娶事奉外邦神的女子為妻。
Judah has been faithless, and abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem ; for Judah has profaned the sanctuary of the LORD, which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.
2:12 凡行這事的，無論何人（何人：原文是叫醒的，答應的），就是獻供物給萬軍之耶和華，耶和華也必從雅各的帳棚中剪除他。
May the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob, for the man who does this, any to witness or answer, or to bring an offering to the LORD of hosts!
2:13 你們又行了一件這樣的事，使前妻歎息哭泣的眼淚遮蓋耶和華的壇，以致耶和華不再看顧那供物，也不樂意從你們手中收納。
And this again you do. You cover the LORD's altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor at your hand.
2:14 你們還說：「這是為甚麼呢？」因耶和華在你和你幼年所娶的妻中間作見證。她雖是你的配偶，又是你盟約的妻，你卻以詭詐待她。
You ask, "Why does he not?" Because the LORD was witness to the covenant between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
2:15 雖然 神有靈的餘力能造多人，他不是單造一人嗎？為何只造一人呢？乃是他願人得虔誠的後裔。所以當謹守你們的心，誰也不可以詭詐待幼年所娶的妻。
Has not the one God made and sustained for us the spirit of life? And what does he desire? Godly offspring. So take heed to yourselves, and let none be faithless to the wife of his youth.
2:16 耶和華─以色列的 神說：「休妻的事和以強暴待妻的人都是我所恨惡的！所以當謹守你們的心，不可行詭詐。」這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
"For I hate divorce, says the LORD the God of Israel, and covering one's garment with violence, says the LORD of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless."
2:17 你們用言語煩瑣耶和華，你們還說：「我們在何事上煩瑣他呢？」因為你們說：「凡行惡的，耶和華眼看為善，並且他喜悅他們」；或說：「公義的 神在哪裡呢？」
You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, "How have we wearied him?" By saying, "Every one who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"
