經文: 創世紀 38:11 猶大心裡說：「恐怕示拉也死，像他兩個哥哥一樣」，就對他兒婦他瑪說：「你去，在你父親家裡守寡，等我兒子示拉長大。」他瑪就回去，住在他父親家裡。
默想: 不孝有三，無後為大。這個觀念在猶大與他瑪的互動故事中扮演非常重要的角色。猶大有三個兒子。老大珥由於行耶和華眼中看為惡之事，而英年早逝。猶大為了要幫珥傳宗接代，而要求老二俄南與寡居的大掃他瑪同房，好為去世的大哥珥存留後代。那裡知道，老二俄南，只要享受性生活的快樂，卻不願意讓他瑪懷孕，因此採取性交中斷法，體外射精。這種自私自利的行為，讓耶和華看為惡，因此，耶和華也讓俄南死了。如此，連續兩個兒子，都在與他瑪有婚姻關係中英年早逝，引起猶大的擔心，現在只剩下老三示拉了。猶大擔心，是否他瑪有剋夫的問題，萬一老三示拉也被他瑪剋死了，那麼他這個家族，就會斷子絕孫了。於是猶大採取緩兵之計，先將他瑪打發回娘家，就讓時間與空間的阻隔，來把這個猶大內心所害 怕的問題不限期的拖延下去。媳婦他瑪在娘家，看著日子一天天過去，公公猶大看來並沒有要安排老三示拉與他結婚，好為珥與俄南存留後代。公公猶大又不讓他瑪正式脫離這些婚姻，好再嫁人。逼得媳婦他瑪只好找機會色誘公公猶大，好從他為亡夫存留後代。從這個故事，我們看到古代以色列民族當中，女性在社會的角色與地位的困境與痛苦。我們也看到他瑪在如此處境之下，用他的智慧與靈巧來解決他的困境。當事情真相大白之後，猶大說他比我有義。在新約馬太福音主耶穌基督的族譜中，他瑪也被列入耶穌祖先的行列中。
題目: 38:26為何猶大說：「他瑪比我更有義」？你認為呢？有何看法與學習？
38:1 那時，猶大離開他弟兄下去，到一個亞杜蘭人名叫希拉的家裡去。
It happened at that time that Judah went down from his brothers, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.
38:2 猶大在那裡看見一個迦南人名叫書亞的女兒，就娶她為妻，與她同房，
There Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua; he married her and went in to her,
38:3 她就懷孕生了兒子，猶大給他起名叫珥。
and she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Er.
38:4 她又懷孕生了兒子，母親給他起名叫俄南。
Again she conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Onan.
38:5 她復又生了兒子，給他起名叫示拉。她生示拉的時候，猶大正在基悉。
Yet again she bore a son, and she called his name Shelah. She was in Chezib when she bore him.
38:6 猶大為長子珥娶妻，名叫她瑪。
And Judah took a wife for Er his first-born, and her name was Tamar.
38:7 猶大的長子珥在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華就叫他死了。
But Er, Judah 's first-born, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
38:8 猶大對俄南說：「你當與你哥哥的妻子同房，向她盡你為弟的本分，為你哥哥生子立後。」
Then Judah said to Onan, "Go in to your brother's wife, and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother."
38:9 俄南知道生子不歸自己，所以同房的時候便遺在地，免得給他哥哥留後。
But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife he spilled the semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.
38:10 俄南所做的在耶和華眼中看為惡，耶和華也就叫他死了。
And what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him also.
38:11 猶大心裡說：「恐怕示拉也死，像他兩個哥哥一樣」，就對他兒婦她瑪說：「你去，在你父親家裡守寡，等我兒子示拉長大。」她瑪就回去，住在她父親家裡。
Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, "Remain a widow in your father's house, till Shelah my son grows up" -- for he feared that he would die, like his brothers. So Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.
38:12 過了許久，猶大的妻子書亞的女兒死了。猶大得了安慰，就和他朋友亞杜蘭人希拉上亭拿去，到他剪羊毛的人那裡。
In course of time the wife of Judah, Shua's daughter, died; and when Judah was comforted, he went up to Timnah to his sheepshearers, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
38:13 有人告訴她瑪說：「你的公公上亭拿剪羊毛去了。」
And when Tamar was told, "Your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep,"
38:14 她瑪見示拉已經長大，還沒有娶她為妻，就脫了她作寡婦的衣裳，用帕子蒙著臉，又遮住身體，坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城門口。
she put off her widow's garments, and put on a veil, wrapping herself up, and sat at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she had not been given to him in marriage.
38:15 猶大看見她，以為是妓女，因為她蒙著臉。
When Judah saw her, he thought her to be a harlot, for she had covered her face.
38:16 猶大就轉到她那裡去，說：「來吧！讓我與你同寢。」他原不知道是他的兒婦。她瑪說：「你要與我同寢，把甚麼給我呢？」
He went over to her at the road side, and said, "Come, let me come in to you," for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, "What will you give me, that you may come in to me?"
38:17 猶大說：「我從羊群裡取一隻山羊羔，打發人送來給你。」她瑪說：「在未送以先，你願意給我一個當頭嗎？」
He answered, "I will send you a kid from the flock." And she said, "Will you give me a pledge, till you send it?"
38:18 他說：「我給你甚麼當頭呢？」她瑪說：「你的印、你的帶子，和你手裡的杖。」猶大就給了她，與她同寢，她就從猶大懷了孕。
He said, "What pledge shall I give you?" She replied, "Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand." So he gave them to her, and went in to her, and she conceived by him.
38:19 她瑪起來走了，除去帕子，仍舊穿上作寡婦的衣裳。
Then she arose and went away, and taking off her veil she put on the garments of her widowhood.
38:20 猶大託他朋友亞杜蘭人送一隻山羊羔去，要從那女人手裡取回當頭來，卻找不著她，
When Judah sent the kid by his friend the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman's hand, he could not find her.
38:21 就問那地方的人說：「伊拿印路旁的妓女在那裡？」他們說：「這裡並沒有妓女。」
And he asked the men of the place, "Where is the harlot who was at Enaim by the wayside?" And they said, "No harlot has been here."
38:22 他回去見猶大說：「我沒有找著她，並且那地方的人說：『這裡沒有妓女。』」
So he returned to Judah, and said, "I have not found her; and also the men of the place said, `No harlot has been here.'"
38:23 猶大說：「我把這山羊羔送去了，你竟找不著她。任憑她拿去吧，免得我們被羞辱。」
And Judah replied, "Let her keep the things as her own, lest we be laughed at; you see, I sent this kid, and you could not find her."
38:24 約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：「你的兒婦她瑪作了妓女，且因行淫有了身孕。」猶大說：「拉出她來，把她燒了！」
About three months later Judah was told, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; and moreover she is with child by harlotry." And Judah said, "Bring her out, and let her be burned."
38:25 她瑪被拉出來的時候便打發人去見他公公，對他說：「這些東西是誰的，我就是從誰懷的孕。請你認一認，這印和帶子並杖都是誰的？」
As she was being brought out, she sent word to her father-in-law, "By the man to whom these belong, I am with child." And she said, "Mark, I pray you, whose these are, the signet and the cord and the staff."
38:26 猶大承認說：「她比我更有義，因為我沒有將她給我的兒子示拉。」從此猶大不再與她同寢了。
Then Judah acknowledged them and said, "She is more righteous than I, inasmuch as I did not give her to my son Shelah." And he did not lie with her again.
38:27 她瑪將要生產，不料她腹裡是一對雙生。
When the time of her delivery came, there were twins in her womb.
38:28 到生產的時候，一個孩子伸出一隻手來；收生婆拿紅線拴在他手上，說：「這是頭生的。」
And when she was in labor, one put out a hand; and the midwife took and bound on his hand a scarlet thread, saying, "This came out first."
38:29 隨後這孩子把手收回去，他哥哥生出來了；收生婆說：「你為甚麼搶著來呢？」因此給他起名叫法勒斯。
But as he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out; and she said, "What a breach you have made for yourself!" Therefore his name was called Perez.
38:30 後來，他兄弟那手上有紅線的也生出來，就給他起名叫謝拉。
Afterward his brother came out with the scarlet thread upon his hand; and his name was called Zerah.
三年樂活讀經
W2 2011-02-22 (啟20:1-22:21)
經文: 啟示錄 20:14-15 死亡和陰間也被扔在火湖裡；這火湖就是第二次的死。若有人名字沒記在生命冊上，他就被扔在火湖裡。
默想: 這是整本聖經的結語。由此可見，生命冊是非常重要的一本冊子。求主將我的名字寫在生命冊上，求主永遠不要將我的名字，從生命冊抹去。當主所差遣的七十位門徒，出去侍奉而大有果效，興高采烈的回來向主耶穌報告成果時，主耶穌說：不要因鬼服了你們就歡喜，要因你們的名記錄在天上歡喜。(路10:20) 侍奉的果效再大，也不如能從上帝得到救贖的恩典，而名字能夠被主耶穌寫在生命冊上。
題目: 你對於本段經文中有關生命河兩旁的兩行生命樹的描述，有何感想呢？
20:1 我又看見一位天使從天降下，手裡拿著無底坑的鑰匙和一條大鍊子。
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain.
20:2 他捉住那龍，就是古蛇，又叫魔鬼，也叫撒但，把他捆綁一千年，
And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
20:3 扔在無底坑裡，將無底坑關閉，用印封上，使牠不得再迷惑列國。等到那一千年完了，以後必須暫時釋放牠。
and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.
20:4 我又看見幾個寶座，也有坐在上面的，並有審判的權柄賜給他們。我又看見那些因為給耶穌作見證，並為 神之道被斬者的靈魂，和那沒有拜過獸與獸像，也沒有在額上和手上受過他印記之人的靈魂，他們都復活了，與基督一同作王一千年。
Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
20:5 這是頭一次的復活。（其餘的死人還沒有復活，直等那一千年完了。）
The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
20:6 在頭一次復活有分的有福了，聖潔了！第二次的死在他們身上沒有權柄。他們必作 神和基督的祭司，並要與基督一同作王一千年。
Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.
20:7 那一千年完了，撒但必從監牢裡被釋放，
And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison
20:8 出來要迷惑地上四方（原文是角）的列國，就是歌革和瑪各，叫他們聚集爭戰。他們的人數多如海沙。
and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
20:9 他們上來遍滿了全地，圍住聖徒的營與蒙愛的城，就有火從天降下，燒滅了他們。
And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,
20:10 那迷惑他們的魔鬼被扔在硫磺的火湖裡，就是獸和假先知所在的地方。他們必晝夜受痛苦，直到永永遠遠。
and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
20:11 我又看見一個白色的大寶座與坐在上面的；從他面前天地都逃避，再無可見之處了。
Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
20:12 我又看見死了的人，無論大小，都站在寶座前。案卷展開了，並且另有一卷展開，就是生命冊。死了的人都憑著這些案卷所記載的，照他們所行的受審判。
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
20:13 於是海交出其中的死人；死亡和陰間也交出其中的死人；他們都照各人所行的受審判。
And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.
20:14 死亡和陰間也被扔在火湖裡；這火湖就是第二次的死。
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;
20:15 若有人名字沒記在生命冊上，他就被扔在火湖裡。
and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
21:1 我又看見一個新天新地；因為先前的天地已經過去了，海也不再有了。
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
21:2 我又看見聖城新耶路撒冷由 神那裡從天而降，預備好了，就如新婦妝飾整齊，等候丈夫。
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband;
21:3 我聽見有大聲音從寶座出來說：看哪， 神的帳幕在人間。他要與人同住，他們要作他的子民。 神要親自與他們同在，作他們的 神。
and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;
21:4 神要擦去他們一切的眼淚；不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭號、疼痛，因為以前的事都過去了。
he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
21:5 坐寶座的說：看哪，我將一切都更新了！又說：你要寫上；因這些話是可信的，是真實的。
And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."
21:6 他又對我說：都成了！我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛；我是初，我是終。我要將生命泉的水白白賜給那口渴的人喝。
And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment.
21:7 得勝的，必承受這些為業：我要作他的 神，他要作我的兒子。
He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.
21:8 惟有膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的，和一切說謊話的，他們的分就在燒著硫磺的火湖裡；這是第二次的死。
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."
21:9 拿著七個金碗、盛滿末後七災的七位天使中，有一位來對我說：你到這裡來，我要將新婦，就是羔羊的妻，指給你看。
Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and spoke to me, saying, "Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb."
21:10 我被聖靈感動，天使就帶我到一座高大的山，將那由 神那裡、從天而降的聖城耶路撒冷指示我。
And in the Spirit he carried me away to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,
21:11 城中有 神的榮耀；城的光輝如同極貴的寶石，好像碧玉，明如水晶。
having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
21:12 有高大的牆，有十二個門，門上有十二位天使；門上又寫著以色列十二個支派的名字。
It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed;
21:13 東邊有三門、北邊有三門、南邊有三門、西邊有三門。
on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
21:14 城牆有十二根基，根基上有羔羊十二使徒的名字。
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
21:15 對我說話的，拿著金葦子當尺，要量那城和城門城牆。
And he who talked to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls.
21:16 城是四方的，長寬一樣。天使用葦子量那城，共有四千里，長、寬、高都是一樣；
The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its breadth; and he measured the city with his rod, twelve thousand stadia; its length and breadth and height are equal.
21:17 又量了城牆，按著人的尺寸，就是天使的尺寸，共有一百四十四肘。
He also measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits by a man's measure, that is, an angel's.
21:18 牆是碧玉造的；城是精金的，如同明淨的玻璃。
The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass.
21:19 城牆的根基是用各樣寶石修飾的：第一根基是碧玉；第二是藍寶石；第三是綠瑪瑙；第四是綠寶石；
The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every jewel; the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,
21:20 第五是紅瑪瑙；第六是紅寶石；第七是黃璧璽；第八是水蒼玉；第九是紅璧璽；第十是翡翠；第十一是紫瑪瑙；第十二是紫晶。
the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21:21 十二個門是十二顆珍珠，每門是一顆珍珠。城內的街道是精金，好像明透的玻璃。
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.
21:22 我未見城內有殿，因主 神─全能者和羔羊為城的殿。
And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.
21:23 那城內又不用日月光照；因有 神的榮耀光照，又有羔羊為城的燈。
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
21:24 列國要在城的光裡行走；地上的君王必將自己的榮耀歸與那城。
By its light shall the nations walk; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it,
21:25 城門白晝總不關閉，在那裡原沒有黑夜。
and its gates shall never be shut by day -- and there shall be no night there;
21:26 人必將列國的榮耀、尊貴歸與那城。
they shall bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.
21:27 凡不潔淨的，並那行可憎與虛謊之事的，總不得進那城；只有名字寫在羔羊生命冊上的才得進去。
But nothing unclean shall enter it, nor any one who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
22:1 天使又指示我在城內街道當中一道生命水的河，明亮如水晶，從 神和羔羊的寶座流出來。
Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
22:2 在河這邊與那邊有生命樹，結十二樣（或作：回）果子，每月都結果子；樹上的葉子乃為醫治萬民。
through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
22:3 以後再沒有咒詛；在城裡有 神和羔羊的寶座；他的僕人都要事奉他，
There shall no more be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall worship him;
22:4 也要見他的面。他的名字必寫在他們的額上。
they shall see his face, and his name shall be on their foreheads.
22:5 不再有黑夜；他們也不用燈光、日光，因為主 神要光照他們。他們要作王，直到永永遠遠。
And night shall be no more; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they shall reign for ever and ever.
22:6 天使又對我說：這些話是真實可信的。主就是眾先知被感之靈的 神，差遣他的使者，將那必要快成的事指示他僕人。
And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.
22:7 看哪，我必快來！凡遵守這書上預言的有福了！
And behold, I am coming soon." Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
22:8 這些事是我約翰所聽見、所看見的；我既聽見、看見了，就在指示我的天使腳前俯伏要拜他。
I John am he who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me;
22:9 他對我說：千萬不可！我與你和你的弟兄眾先知，並那些守這書上言語的人，同是作僕人的。你要敬拜 神。
but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
22:10 他又對我說：不可封了這書上的預言，因為日期近了。
And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
22:11 不義的，叫他仍舊不義；污穢的，叫他仍舊污穢；為義的，叫他仍舊為義；聖潔的，叫他仍舊聖潔。
Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy."
22:12 看哪，我必快來！賞罰在我，要照各人所行的報應他。
"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay every one for what he has done.
22:13 我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛；我是首先的，我是末後的；我是初，我是終。
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
22:14 那些洗淨自己衣服的有福了！可得權柄能到生命樹那裡，也能從門進城。
Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
22:15 城外有那些犬類、行邪術的、淫亂的、殺人的、拜偶像的，並一切喜好說謊言、編造虛謊的。
Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and every one who loves and practices falsehood.
22:16 我─耶穌差遣我的使者為眾教會將這些事向你們證明。我是大衛的根，又是他的後裔。我是明亮的晨星。
"I Jesus have sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star."
22:17 聖靈和新婦都說：來！聽見的人也該說：來！口渴的人也當來；願意的，都可以白白取生命的水喝。
The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let him who hears say, "Come." And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price.
22:18 我向一切聽見這書上預言的作見證，若有人在這預言上加添甚麼， 神必將寫在這書上的災禍加在他身上；
I warn every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
22:19 這書上的預言，若有人刪去甚麼， 神必從這書上所寫的生命樹和聖城刪去他的分。
and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
22:20 證明這事的說：是了，我必快來！阿們！主耶穌啊，我願你來！
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
22:21 願主耶穌的恩惠常與眾聖徒同在。阿們！
