W3 2013-10-09 傳道書6
6:1 我見日光之下有一宗禍患重壓在人身上，
6:2 就是人蒙 神賜他資財、豐富、尊榮，以致他心裡所願的一樣都不缺，只是 神使他不能吃用，反有外人來吃用。這是虛空，也是禍患。
6:3 人若生一百個兒子，活許多歲數，以致他的年日甚多，心裡卻不得滿享福樂，又不得埋葬；據我說，那不到期而落的胎比他倒好。
6:4 因為虛虛而來，暗暗而去，名字被黑暗遮蔽，
6:5 並且沒有見過天日，也毫無知覺；這胎，比那人倒享安息。
6:6 那人雖然活千年，再活千年，卻不享福，眾人豈不都歸一個地方去嗎？
6:7 人的勞碌都為口腹，心裡卻不知足。
6:8 這樣看來，智慧人比愚昧人有甚麼長處呢？窮人在眾人面前知道如何行，有甚麼長處呢？
6:9 眼睛所看的比心裡妄想的倒好。這也是虛空，也是捕風。
6:10 先前所有的，早已起了名，並知道何為人，他也不能與那比自己力大的相爭。
6:11 加增虛浮的事既多，這與人有甚麼益處呢？
6:12 人一生虛度的日子，就如影兒經過，誰知道甚麼與他有益呢？誰能告訴他身後在日光之下有甚麼事呢？
默想: 傳道書的作者，在這裡提出一個一般人也許會覺得很極端的想法。一般人認為什麼是有福的呢？難道不是長命百歲，多子多孫，擁有財富、豐富、尊榮、自己所需的都不缺嗎？但是即使是如此，若人在這個世上，上帝卻使他雖然擁有財富卻不能自己享受，而被外人享受他所擁有的，那實在是一種禍患。
人若富有，心裡卻不得滿享福樂，死後又不得埋葬，那這人實在比胎死腹中的嬰兒更不幸。那些還沒有出生，沒有見過日光，沒有名子的嬰兒，雖然沒有來到人世上，但是，他們也沒有受過人生的苦難。比起那些雖然表面看起來富裕，卻不能享受他自己所賺的錢財，死後又沒有人埋葬，實在是更有安息。因為希伯來認為人生最大的不幸，是死後無人安葬，一個人不論再怎麼富有，在世如何長壽、兒女如何眾多，都不是幸福的保障。
財富是好的，但是金錢不是人得到福樂的保障，長壽是好的，但是也不一定是幸福。作者想要傳達的想法是，若人在世上，雖擁有一切，但卻沒有辦法真正享福，且死後無人紀念，無人安葬，那麼富人死後，還不如夭折的嬰兒呢！
題目: 根據本章經文，不到期而落的胎比資財豐富、多子多孫的人更好，理由何在呢？
6:1 我見日光之下有一宗禍患重壓在人身上，
There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
6:2 就是人蒙 神賜他資財、豐富、尊榮，以致他心裡所願的一樣都不缺，只是 神使他不能吃用，反有外人來吃用。這是虛空，也是禍患。
A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
6:3 人若生一百個兒子，活許多歲數，以致他的年日甚多，心裡卻不得滿享福樂，又不得埋葬；據我說，那不到期而落的胎比他倒好。
If a man beget an hundred children , and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
6:4 因為虛虛而來，暗暗而去，名字被黑暗遮蔽，
For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.
6:5 並且沒有見過天日，也毫無知覺；這胎，比那人倒享安息。
Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing : this hath more rest than the other.
6:6 那人雖然活千年，再活千年，卻不享福，眾人豈不都歸一個地方去嗎？
Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told , yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
6:7 人的勞碌都為口腹，心裡卻不知足。
All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled. appetite: Heb. soul
6:8 這樣看來，智慧人比愚昧人有甚麼長處呢？窮人在眾人面前知道如何行，有甚麼長處呢？
For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?
6:9 眼睛所看的比心裡妄想的倒好。這也是虛空，也是捕風。
Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit. than...: Heb. than the walking of the soul
6:10 先前所有的，早已起了名，並知道何為人，他也不能與那比自己力大的相爭。
That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
6:11 加增虛浮的事既多，這與人有甚麼益處呢？
Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?
6:12 人一生虛度的日子，就如影兒經過，誰知道甚麼與他有益呢？誰能告訴他身後在日光之下有甚麼事呢？
For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun? all...: Heb. the number of the days of the life of his vanity
