經文: 申命記 11:1-3 你要愛耶和華你的神，常守他的吩咐、律例、典章、誡命。你們今日當知道，我本不是和你們的兒女說話；因為他們不知道，也沒有看見耶和華你們神的管教、威嚴、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，並他在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神蹟奇事。
默想: 從本段經文我們看到，我們的信仰，可以分為親身經歷神的救贖與管教，以及親耳聽見耶和華所吩咐的律例、典章、誡命。命題式真理 (propositional truth)只能用理性來分析與瞭解，關係式真理 (relational truth) 卻可以用心情來感受與體會。當我們的信仰只是建立在命題式真理上面時，可能只會產生理性的認同 (rational consent)，只有關係式真理能夠產生意志委身 (volitional commitment)。求主幫助我，讓我的信仰能夠建立在命題式真理的理性認同與關係式真理的意志委身。
題目: 在第十一章中，對於百姓是否遵守誡命的結果有祝福和警戒的話？你有何看法與學習？
11:1 「你要愛耶和華─你的 神，常守他的吩咐、律例、典章、誡命。
"You shall therefore love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments always.
11:2 你們今日當知道，我本不是和你們的兒女說話；因為他們不知道，也沒有看見耶和華─你們 神的管教、威嚴、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，
And consider this day (since I am not speaking to your children who have not known or seen it), consider the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand and his outstretched arm,
11:3 並他在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神蹟奇事；
his signs and his deeds which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt and to all his land;
11:4 也沒有看見他怎樣待埃及的軍兵、車馬，他們追趕你們的時候，耶和華怎樣使紅海的水淹沒他們，將他們滅絕，直到今日，
and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;
11:5 並他在曠野怎樣待你們，以致你們來到這地方；
and what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came to this place;
11:6 也沒有看見他怎樣待流便子孫以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，地怎樣在以色列人中間開口，吞了他們和他們的家眷，並帳棚與跟他們的一切活物。
and what he did to Dathan and Abi'ram the sons of Eli'ab, son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households, their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the midst of all Israel;
11:7 惟有你們親眼看見耶和華所做的一切大事。」
for your eyes have seen all the great work of the LORD which he did.
11:8 「所以，你們要守我今日所吩咐的一切誡命，使你們膽壯，能以進去，得你們所要得的那地，
"You shall therefore keep all the commandment which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and go in and take possession of the land which you are going over to possess,
11:9 並使你們的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們和他們後裔的地上得以長久；那是流奶與蜜之地。
and that you may live long in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.
11:10 你要進去得為業的那地，本不像你出來的埃及地。你在那裡撒種，用腳澆灌，像澆灌菜園一樣。
For the land which you are entering to take possession of it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a garden of vegetables;
11:11 你們要過去得為業的那地乃是有山有谷、雨水滋潤之地，
but the land which you are going over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water by the rain from heaven,
11:12 是耶和華─你 神所眷顧的；從歲首到年終，耶和華─你 神的眼目時常看顧那地。
a land which the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
11:13 「你們若留意聽從我今日所吩咐的誡命，愛耶和華─你們的 神，盡心盡性事奉他，
"And if you will obey my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14 他（原文是我）必按時降秋雨春雨在你們的地上，使你們可以收藏五穀、新酒和油，
he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.
11:15 也必使你吃得飽足，並使田野為你的牲畜長草。
And he will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you shall eat and be full.
11:16 你們要謹慎，免得心中受迷惑，就偏離正路，去事奉敬拜別神。
Take heed lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,
11:17 耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，就使天閉塞不下雨，地也不出產，使你們在耶和華所賜給你們的美地上速速滅亡。
and the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and he shut up the heavens, so that there be no rain, and the land yield no fruit, and you perish quickly off the good land which the LORD gives you.
11:18 「你們要將我這話存在心內，留在意中，繫在手上為記號，戴在額上為經文；
"You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
11:19 也要教訓你們的兒女，無論坐在家裡，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論；
And you shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
11:20 又要寫在房屋的門框上，並城門上，
And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates,
11:21 使你們和你們子孫的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們的地上得以增多，如天覆地的日子那樣多。
that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth.
11:22 你們若留意謹守遵行我所吩咐這一切的誡命，愛耶和華─你們的 神，行他的道，專靠他，
For if you will be careful to do all this commandment which I command you to do, loving the LORD your God, walking in all his ways, and cleaving to him,
11:23 他必從你們面前趕出這一切國民，就是比你們更大更強的國民，你們也要得他們的地。
then the LORD will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
11:24 凡你們腳掌所踏之地都必歸你們；從曠野和黎巴嫩，並伯拉大河，直到西海，都要作你們的境界。
Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; your territory shall be from the wilderness and Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphra'tes, to the western sea.
11:25 必無一人能在你們面前站立得住；耶和華─你們的 神必照他所說的，使懼怕驚恐臨到你們所踏之地的居民。
No man shall be able to stand against you; the LORD your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he promised you.
11:26 「看哪，我今日將祝福與咒詛的話都陳明在你們面前。
"Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:
11:27 你們若聽從耶和華─你們 神的誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你們的，就必蒙福。
the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day,
11:28 你們若不聽從耶和華─你們 神的誡命，偏離我今日所吩咐你們的道，去事奉你們素來所不認識的別神，就必受禍。
and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods which you have not known.
11:29 及至耶和華─你的 神領你進入要去得為業的那地，你就要將祝福的話陳明在基利心山上，將咒詛的話陳明在以巴路山上。
And when the LORD your God brings you into the land which you are entering to take possession of it, you shall set the blessing on Mount Ger'izim and the curse on Mount Ebal.
11:30 這二山豈不是在約旦河那邊，日落之處，在住亞拉巴的迦南人之地與吉甲相對，靠近摩利橡樹嗎？
Are they not beyond the Jordan, west of the road, toward the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, over against Gilgal, beside the oak of Moreh?
11:31 你們要過約旦河，進去得耶和華─你們 神所賜你們為業之地，在那地居住。
For you are to pass over the Jordan to go in to take possession of the land which the LORD your God gives you; and when you possess it and live in it,
11:32 你們要謹守遵行我今日在你們面前所陳明的一切律例典章。」
you shall be careful to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.

在回顧以色列人於何烈山下的叛逆，申命記作者指出上帝聽允了摩西的代求，沒有將他們滅絕，乃重新賜下由摩西鑿出的兩塊石版上，上帝給予以色列人的誡命後，證明了上帝對他們有立約的慈愛，所以作者語重心長的要求與上帝立約的百姓，要認識神，敬畏上帝，愛祂，事奉祂，遵守祂的一切誡命，要將心裏的污穢除掉，成為新造的人，要看顧孤兒寡婦，善待在他們中間的寄居的外國人。
回覆刪除申命記 11:26 ~29 節清楚地告訴我們：「看哪，我今日將祝福與咒詛的話都陳明在你們面前。你們若聽從耶和華你們神的誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你們的，就必蒙福。你們若不聽從耶和華你們神的誡命，偏離我今日所吩咐你們的道，去事奉你們素來所不認識的別神，就必受禍。及至耶和華你的神領你進入要去得為業的那地，你就要將祝福的話陳明在基利心山上，將咒詛的話陳明在以巴路山上」。
摩西囑咐以色列人在取得迦南地後，要在兩座山之上，大聲宣告咒詛與祝福的話，其進行情況可參看約書亞記八章。選擇這兩座山可能有兩個重要的含意：
1) 基利心山位於南面，基利心山樹木覆蓋；代表豐盛繁茂；
2) 以巴路山位於北面，以巴路山顯得光禿；代表缺乏；
神為得福與受詛的因由提出界線：
1) 若要得福：
好好地教導子女，全家必須認識神，敬畏神，留意聽從將耶和華所吩咐的話存在心內，遵守神的誡命律例；好好地教導子女，教訓你們的兒女愛耶和華你們的神，盡心盡性事奉他; 要謹慎, 免得心中受迷惑，就偏離正路，去事奉敬拜別神。
2) 若要受禍：
不認識神，不敬畏神，偏離神所吩咐的道和事奉別神。
今日當我們尋求神的祝福與恩典的時候，我們是否願意以愛神作為我們生命的基本質素呢？得福與受禍乃在乎人心意的轉變。 求主幫助我們，若我們的心專向神，就會像以色列人一樣蒙受豐富的恩惠；若我們的心偏離神，去去事奉敬拜別的神，也必從神手中領受祂的管教與禍難。
