經文: 申命記 1:2 （從何烈山經過西珥山到加低斯巴尼亞有十一天的路程。）
默想: 申命記的英文是Deuteronomy，意思是"再度重申"。摩西在將近四十年前帶領六十萬以色列人 (民1:46) 浩浩蕩蕩出埃及、過紅海、上西乃，然後來到加低斯巴尼亞，這已經是從南方進入迦南地的境界了。(申9:23) 摩西派了十二個探子前往迦南地察看那地四十天之久，結果是除了約書亞與迦勒以外，其餘的十位探子所看到的是迦南人的高大可怕，影響全體以色列人產生害怕心理，而不順服耶和華的命令，勇敢的前往應許地。以色列人的叛逆，導致耶和華的懲戒。原來是十一天的行程，卻變成四十年在曠野的流浪，一直到那個世代的以色列人，除了約書亞與迦勒之外，都在曠野流浪中倒斃。第二代以色列人在摩西的帶領之下，經過四十年的曠野流浪，才好不容易又走到的約但河東岸，耶利哥對面的摩押平原 ( 申1:5)，摩西向第二代以色列人重申順服耶和華命令的重要性。上一代以色列人不順服耶和華的結局，是把十一天的行程，變成四十年的曠野流浪。求主保守我，一生順服遵行你的命令，以免我的生命，浪費在曠野的流浪。
題目: 31節「耶和華你們的神撫養你們。」，上帝如何扶養以色列人？祢是否感受到神的撫養？是什麼？
1:1 以下所記的是摩西在約旦河東的曠野、疏弗對面的亞拉巴─就是巴蘭、陀弗、拉班、哈洗錄、底撒哈中間─向以色列眾人所說的話。
These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah over against Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Haze'roth, and Di'-zahab.
1:2 ﹙從何烈山經過西珥山到加低斯‧巴尼亞有十一天的路程。﹚
It is eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Se'ir to Ka'desh-bar'nea.
1:3 出埃及第四十年十一月初一日，摩西照耶和華藉著他所吩咐以色列人的話都曉諭他們。
And in the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses spoke to the people of Israel according to all that the LORD had given him in commandment to them,
1:4 那時，他已經擊殺了住希實本的亞摩利王西宏和住以得來、亞斯他錄的巴珊王噩。
after he had defeated Sihon the king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, who lived in Ash'taroth and in Ed're-i.
1:5 摩西在約旦河東的摩押地講律法說：
Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, Moses undertook to explain this law, saying,
1:6 「耶和華─我們的 神在何烈山曉諭我們說：你們在這山上住的日子夠了；
"The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, `You have stayed long enough at this mountain;
1:7 要起行轉到亞摩利人的山地和靠近這山地的各處，就是亞拉巴、山地、高原、南地，沿海一帶迦南人的地，並黎巴嫩山又到伯拉大河。
turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland, and in the Negeb, and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphra'tes.
1:8 如今我將這地擺在你們面前；你們要進去得這地，就是耶和華向你們列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許賜給他們和他們後裔為業之地。」
Behold, I have set the land before you; go in and take possession of the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.'
1:9 「那時，我對你們說：『管理你們的重任，我獨自擔當不起。
"At that time I said to you, `I am not able alone to bear you;
1:10 耶和華─你們的 神使你們多起來。看哪，你們今日像天上的星那樣多。
the LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
1:11 惟願耶和華─你們列祖的 神使你們比如今更多千倍，照他所應許你們的話賜福與你們。
May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!
1:12 但你們的麻煩，和管理你們的重任，並你們的爭訟，我獨自一人怎能擔當得起呢？
How can I bear alone the weight and burden of you and your strife?
1:13 你們要按著各支派選舉有智慧、有見識、為眾人所認識的，我立他們為你們的首領。』
Choose wise, understanding, and experienced men, according to your tribes, and I will appoint them as your heads.'
1:14 你們回答我說：『照你所說的行了為妙。』
And you answered me, `The thing that you have spoken is good for us to do.'
1:15 我便將你們各支派的首領，有智慧、為眾人所認識的，照你們的支派，立他們為官長、千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，管理你們。
So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and experienced men, and set them as heads over you, commanders of thousands, commanders of hundreds, commanders of fifties, commanders of tens, and officers, throughout your tribes.
1:16 「當時，我囑咐你們的審判官說：『你們聽訟，無論是弟兄彼此爭訟，是與同居的外人爭訟，都要按公義判斷。
And I charged your judges at that time, `Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the alien that is with him.
1:17 審判的時候，不可看人的外貌；聽訟不可分貴賤，不可懼怕人，因為審判是屬乎 神的。若有難斷的案件，可以呈到我這裡，我就判斷。』
You shall not be partial in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike; you shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's; and the case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.'
1:18 那時，我將你們所當行的事都吩咐你們了。」
And I commanded you at that time all the things that you should do.
1:19 「我們照著耶和華─我們 神所吩咐的從何烈山起行，經過你們所看見那大而可怕的曠野，往亞摩利人的山地去，到了加低斯‧巴尼亞。
"And we set out from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Ka'desh-bar'nea.
1:20 我對你們說：『你們已經到了耶和華─我們 神所賜給我們的亞摩利人之山地。
And I said to you, `You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the LORD our God gives us.
1:21 看哪，耶和華─你的 神已將那地擺在你面前，你要照耶和華─你列祖的 神所說的上去得那地為業；不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。』
Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you; go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you; do not fear or be dismayed.'
1:22 你們都就近我來說：『我們要先打發人去，為我們窺探那地，將我們上去該走何道，必進何城，都回報我們。』
Then all of you came near me, and said, `Let us send men before us, that they may explore the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up and the cities into which we shall come.'
1:23 這話我以為美，就從你們中間選了十二個人，每支派一人。
The thing seemed good to me, and I took twelve men of you, one man for each tribe;
1:24 於是他們起身上山地去，到以實各谷，窺探那地。
and they turned and went up into the hill country, and came to the Valley of Eshcol and spied it out.
1:25 他們手裡拿著那地的果子下來，到我們那裡，回報說：『耶和華─我們的 神所賜給我們的是美地。』
And they took in their hands some of the fruit of the land and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, `It is a good land which the LORD our God gives us.'
1:26 「你們卻不肯上去，竟違背了耶和華─你們 神的命令，
"Yet you would not go up, but rebelled against the command of the LORD your God;
1:27 在帳棚內發怨言說：『耶和華因為恨我們，所以將我們從埃及地領出來，要交在亞摩利人手中，除滅我們。
and you murmured in your tents, and said, `Because the LORD hated us he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to give us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
1:28 我們上那裡去呢？我們的弟兄使我們的心消化，說那地的民比我們又大又高，城邑又廣大又堅固，高得頂天，並且我們在那裡看見亞衲族的人。』
Whither are we going up? Our brethren have made our hearts melt, saying, "The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there."'
1:29 我就對你們說：『不要驚恐，也不要怕他們。
Then I said to you, `Do not be in dread or afraid of them.
1:30 在你們前面行的耶和華─你們的 神必為你們爭戰，正如他在埃及和曠野，在你們眼前所行的一樣。
The LORD your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,
1:31 你們在曠野所行的路上，也曾見耶和華─你們的 神撫養你們，如同人撫養兒子一般，直等你們來到這地方。』
and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the LORD your God bore you, as a man bears his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.'
1:32 你們在這事上卻不信耶和華─你們的 神。
Yet in spite of this word you did not believe the LORD your God,
1:33 他在路上，在你們前面行，為你們找安營的地方；夜間在火柱裡，日間在雲柱裡，指示你們所當行的路。」
who went before you in the way to seek you out a place to pitch your tents, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.
1:34 「耶和華聽見你們這話，就發怒，起誓說：
"And the LORD heard your words, and was angered, and he swore,
1:35 『這惡世代的人，連一個也不得見我起誓應許賜給你們列祖的美地；
`Not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers,
1:36 惟有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒必得看見，並且我要將他所踏過的地賜給他和他的子孫，因為他專心跟從我。』
except Caleb the son of Jephun'neh; he shall see it, and to him and to his children I will give the land upon which he has trodden, because he has wholly followed the LORD!'
1:37 耶和華為你們的緣故也向我發怒，說：『你必不得進入那地。
The LORD was angry with me also on your account, and said, `You also shall not go in there;
1:38 伺候你、嫩的兒子約書亞，他必得進入那地；你要勉勵他，因為他要使以色列人承受那地為業。
Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall enter; encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
1:39 並且你們的婦人孩子，就是你們所說、必被擄掠的，和今日不知善惡的兒女，必進入那地。我要將那地賜給他們，他們必得為業。
Moreover your little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, shall go in there, and to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.
1:40 至於你們，要轉回，從紅海的路往曠野去。』
But as for you, turn, and journey into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.'
1:41 「那時，你們回答我說：『我們得罪了耶和華，情願照耶和華─我們 神一切所吩咐的上去爭戰。』於是你們各人帶著兵器，爭先上山地去了。
"Then you answered me, `We have sinned against the LORD; we will go up and fight, just as the LORD our God commanded us.' And every man of you girded on his weapons of war, and thought it easy to go up into the hill country.
1:42 耶和華吩咐我說：『你對他們說：不要上去，也不要爭戰；因我不在你們中間，恐怕你們被仇敵殺敗了。』
And the LORD said to me, `Say to them, Do not go up or fight, for I am not in the midst of you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.'
1:43 我就告訴了你們，你們卻不聽從，竟違背耶和華的命令，擅自上山地去了。
So I spoke to you, and you would not hearken; but you rebelled against the command of the LORD, and were presumptuous and went up into the hill country.
1:44 住那山地的亞摩利人就出來攻擊你們，追趕你們，如蜂擁一般，在西珥殺退你們，直到何珥瑪。
Then the Amorites who lived in that hill country came out against you and chased you as bees do and beat you down in Se'ir as far as Hormah.
1:45 你們便回來，在耶和華面前哭號；耶和華卻不聽你們的聲音，也不向你們側耳。
And you returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD did not hearken to your voice or give ear to you.
1:46 於是你們在加低斯住了許多日子。」
So you remained at Kadesh many days, the days that you remained there.
These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah over against Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Haze'roth, and Di'-zahab.
1:2 ﹙從何烈山經過西珥山到加低斯‧巴尼亞有十一天的路程。﹚
It is eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Se'ir to Ka'desh-bar'nea.
1:3 出埃及第四十年十一月初一日，摩西照耶和華藉著他所吩咐以色列人的話都曉諭他們。

1:16 「當時，我囑咐你們的審判官說：『你們聽訟，無論是弟兄彼此爭訟，是與同居的外人爭訟，都要按公義判斷。

1:17 審判的時候，不可看人的外貌；聽訟不可分貴賤，不可懼怕人，因為審判是屬乎 神的。若有難斷的案件，可以呈到我這裡，我就判斷。』

1:19 「我們照著耶和華─我們 神所吩咐的從何烈山起行，經過你們所看見那大而可怕的曠野，往亞摩利人的山地去，到了加低斯‧巴尼亞。
"And we set out from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Ka'desh-bar'nea.
1:20 我對你們說：『你們已經到了耶和華─我們 神所賜給我們的亞摩利人之山地。
And I said to you, `You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the LORD our God gives us.
1:21 看哪，耶和華─你的 神已將那地擺在你面前，你要照耶和華─你列祖的 神所說的上去得那地為業；不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。』
Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you; go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you; do not fear or be dismayed.'
1:22 你們都就近我來說：『我們要先打發人去，為我們窺探那地，將我們上去該走何道，必進何城，都回報我們。』
Then all of you came near me, and said, `Let us send men before us, that they may explore the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up and the cities into which we shall come.'
1:23 這話我以為美，就從你們中間選了十二個人，每支派一人。

and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the LORD your God bore you, as a man bears his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.'
1:32 你們在這事上卻不信耶和華─你們的 神。
Yet in spite of this word you did not believe the LORD your God,
1:33 他在路上，在你們前面行，為你們找安營的地方；夜間在火柱裡，日間在雲柱裡，指示你們所當行的路。」
who went before you in the way to seek you out a place to pitch your tents, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.
1:34 「耶和華聽見你們這話，就發怒，起誓說：
"And the LORD heard your words, and was angered, and he swore,
1:35 『這惡世代的人，連一個也不得見我起誓應許賜給你們列祖的美地；

Then the Amorites who lived in that hill country came out against you and chased you as bees do and beat you down in Se'ir as far as Hormah.
1:45 你們便回來，在耶和華面前哭號；耶和華卻不聽你們的聲音，也不向你們側耳。
And you returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD did not hearken to your voice or give ear to you.
1:46 於是你們在加低斯住了許多日子。」
So you remained at Kadesh many days, the days that you remained there.

申命記 1:31 節是這樣說的：「你們在曠野所行的路上，也曾見耶和華你們的神撫養(נָשָׂא)你們，如同人撫養兒子一般，直等你們來到這地方」。NAS 的翻譯：“and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you came to this place.”更貼切。
回覆刪除此處的『撫養』(נָשָׂא [nasa’, , nacah /naw•saw/] v.) 它在此的意思是孩子被抱起來（was lifted up）, 就像父親背著（carries）孩子 一直走啊，走啊,直到父子來到這個地方。 注意，這是一個很美的圖畫。父親愛孩子，看到孩子身處危險的困境，他不會身度外的. 父親一定馬上抱起孩子，將孩子背在背上，走過礦野沙漠，一步一步地走，是的，父子同行，直等到過了危險的困境，父親才會把孩子放下的。這就是(נָשָׂא)的意思。這就是我們天上的父，以前怎麽引領以色列百姓出埃及，過紅海，在礦野40 年的寫照。上帝是這樣地扶養以色列人的。
詩篇 23:4 ～6 節：『我雖然行過死蔭的幽谷，也不怕遭害，因為你與我同在；你的杖，你的竿，都安慰我。 在我敵人面前，你為我擺設筵席；你用油膏了我的頭，使我的福杯滿溢。 我一生一世必有恩惠慈愛隨著我；我且要住在耶和華的殿中，直到永遠』。感謝上帝！在我過去數十年的歲月裡，祂就像我的爸爸一樣背著我，與我同行，有上帝與我同在，引導我前行，我不怕遭害，是多麽的幸福和滿足啊！
