21:1 王的心在耶和華手中，好像隴溝的水隨意流轉。
21:2 人所行的，在自己眼中都看為正；惟有耶和華衡量人心。
21:3 行仁義公平比獻祭更蒙耶和華悅納。
21:4 惡人發達（發達：原文是燈），眼高心傲，這乃是罪。
21:5 殷勤籌劃的，足致豐裕；行事急躁的，都必缺乏。
21:6 用詭詐之舌求財的，就是自己取死；所得之財乃是吹來吹去的浮雲。
21:7 惡人的強暴必將自己掃除，因他們不肯按公平行事。
21:8 負罪之人的路甚是彎曲；至於清潔的人，他所行的乃是正直。
21:9 寧可住在房頂的角上，不在寬闊的房屋與爭吵的婦人同住。
21:10 惡人的心樂人受禍；他眼並不憐恤鄰舍。
21:11 褻慢的人受刑罰，愚蒙的人就得智慧；智慧人受訓誨，便得知識。
21:12 義人思想惡人的家，知道惡人傾倒，必致滅亡。
默想: 君王在世上有至高的權力，他的權力在古時，很難有人可以節制。但是，箴言的作者認為上帝的旨意高過君王的意念。如同水流在灌溉的水道中，農夫是可以隨自己的意思來控制水的流量、方向。這表明了雖然君王大有能力，但是真正掌權的是上帝，君王不過是上帝管理的工具。上帝才是歷史真正的主宰，祂透過君王來治理這事上的事，不管君王如何照自己的意思去行，最後，上帝就是能夠控制事情的發展，朝上帝所預定的方向進行。
君王在決定的時候，以為是照著自己個人的意志在決定，但是，他所做的，乃是在上帝的攝理之下，為了完成上帝的旨意。
題目: 箴言21:1提及王的心在耶和華手中，好像隴溝的水隨意流轉，這與自由意志有何關係呢？
21:1 王的心在耶和華手中，好像隴溝的水隨意流轉。
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
21:2 人所行的，在自己眼中都看為正；惟有耶和華衡量人心。
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
21:3 行仁義公平比獻祭更蒙耶和華悅納。
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
21:4 惡人發達（發達：原文是燈），眼高心傲，這乃是罪。
An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. An...: Heb. Haughtiness of eyes the plowing: or, the light
21:5 殷勤籌劃的，足致豐裕；行事急躁的，都必缺乏。
The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
21:6 用詭詐之舌求財的，就是自己取死；所得之財乃是吹來吹去的浮雲。
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
21:7 惡人的強暴必將自己掃除，因他們不肯按公平行事。
The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment. destroy...: Heb. saw them, or, dwell with them
21:8 負罪之人的路甚是彎曲；至於清潔的人，他所行的乃是正直。
The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
21:9 寧可住在房頂的角上，不在寬闊的房屋與爭吵的婦人同住。
It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. a brawling...: Heb. a woman of contentions a wide...: Heb. an house of society
21:10 惡人的心樂人受禍；他眼並不憐恤鄰舍。
The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes. findeth...: Heb. is not favoured
21:11 褻慢的人受刑罰，愚蒙的人就得智慧；智慧人受訓誨，便得知識。
When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
21:12 義人思想惡人的家，知道惡人傾倒，必致滅亡。
The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
21:13 塞耳不聽窮人哀求的，他將來呼籲也不蒙應允。
Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
21:14 暗中送的禮物挽回怒氣；懷中搋的賄賂止息暴怒。
A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
21:15 秉公行義使義人喜樂，使作孽的人敗壞。
It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
21:16 迷離通達道路的，必住在陰魂的會中。
The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
21:17 愛宴樂的，必致窮乏；好酒，愛膏油的，必不富足。
He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. pleasure: or, sport
21:18 惡人作了義人的贖價；奸詐人代替正直人。
The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
21:19 寧可住在曠野，不與爭吵使氣的婦人同住。
It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. in...: Heb. in the land of the desert
21:20 智慧人家中積蓄寶物膏油；愚昧人隨得來隨吞下。
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21:21 追求公義仁慈的，就尋得生命、公義，和尊榮。
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
21:22 智慧人爬上勇士的城牆，傾覆他所倚靠的堅壘。
A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
21:23 謹守口與舌的，就保守自己免受災難。
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
21:24 心驕氣傲的人名叫褻慢；他行事狂妄，都出於驕傲。
Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath. in proud...: Heb. in the wrath of pride
21:25 懶惰人的心願將他殺害，因為他手不肯做工。
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
21:26 有終日貪得無饜的；義人施捨而不吝惜。
He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
21:27 惡人的祭物是可憎的；何況他存惡意來獻呢？
The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind? with...: Heb. in wickedness?
21:28 作假見證的必滅亡；惟有聽真情而言的，其言長存。
A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly. A...: Heb. A witness of lies
21:29 惡人臉無羞恥；正直人行事堅定。
A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way. directeth: or, considereth
21:30 沒有人能以智慧、聰明、謀略敵擋耶和華。
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
21:31 馬是為打仗之日預備的；得勝乃在乎耶和華。
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. safety: or, victory
