14:29 不輕易發怒的，大有聰明；性情暴躁的，大顯愚妄。
14:30 心中安靜是肉體的生命；嫉妒是骨中的朽爛。
14:31 欺壓貧寒的，是辱沒造他的主；憐憫窮乏的，乃是尊敬主。
14:32 惡人在所行的惡上必被推倒；義人臨死，有所投靠。
14:33 智慧存在聰明人心中；愚昧人心裡所存的，顯而易見。
14:34 公義使邦國高舉；罪惡是人民的羞辱。
14:35 智慧的臣子蒙王恩惠；貽羞的僕人遭其震怒。
默想:我們的上帝一直不斷地在提醒我們，要紀念弱勢的人。上帝甚至將自己與貧寒人連結在一起，祂說：「欺壓貧寒的，乃是辱沒造他的主；憐憫窮乏的，乃是尊敬主。」上帝讓我們知道，祂乃是積極地與這些弱勢的人連結在一起，這讓我們對待弱勢、貧寒的人，不能夠是用一種上對下、有對無、強對弱的態度。乃是在一種平等的態度。上帝讓我們深刻的感受到，當我們在面對貧寒的人，我們所面對的不是別的，就是面對我們的上帝。這對我們何等重要的提醒呢？
題目: 根據箴言14:31，我們對待貧寒人的態度如何影響我們和神的關係呢？
14:1 智慧婦人建立家室；愚妄婦人親手拆毀。
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
14:2 行動正直的，敬畏耶和華；行事乖僻的，卻藐視他。
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
14:3 愚妄人口中驕傲，如杖責打己身；智慧人的嘴必保守自己。
In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
14:4 家裡無牛，槽頭乾淨；土產加多乃憑牛力。
Where no oxen are , the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
14:5 誠實見證人不說謊話；假見證人吐出謊言。
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
14:6 褻慢人尋智慧，卻尋不著；聰明人易得知識。
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
14:7 到愚昧人面前，不見他嘴中有知識。
Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
14:8 通達人的智慧在乎明白己道；愚昧人的愚妄乃是詭詐（或譯：自欺）。
The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
14:9 愚妄人犯罪，以為戲耍（或譯：贖愆祭愚弄愚妄人）；正直人互相喜悅。
Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
14:10 心中的苦楚，自己知道；心裡的喜樂，外人無干。
The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. his own...: Heb. the bitterness of his soul
14:11 奸惡人的房屋必傾倒；正直人的帳棚必興盛。
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
14:12 有一條路，人以為正，至終成為死亡之路。
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
14:13 人在喜笑中，心也憂愁；快樂至極就生愁苦。
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14:14 心中背道的，必滿得自己的結果；善人必從自己的行為得以知足。
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
14:15 愚蒙人是話都信；通達人步步謹慎。
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
14:16 智慧人懼怕，就遠離惡事；愚妄人卻狂傲自恃。
A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
14:17 輕易發怒的，行事愚妄；設立詭計的，被人恨惡。
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
14:18 愚蒙人得愚昧為產業；通達人得知識為冠冕。
The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
14:19 壞人俯伏在善人面前；惡人俯伏在義人門口。
The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
14:20 貧窮人連鄰舍也恨他；富足人朋友最多。
The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. the rich...: Heb. many are the lovers of the rich
14:21 藐視鄰舍的，這人有罪；憐憫貧窮的，這人有福。
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
14:22 謀惡的，豈非走入迷途嗎？謀善的，必得慈愛和誠實。
Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
14:23 諸般勤勞都有益處；嘴上多言乃致窮乏。
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
14:24 智慧人的財為自己的冠冕；愚妄人的愚昧終是愚昧。
The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
14:25 作真見證的，救人性命；吐出謊言的，施行詭詐。
A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
14:26 敬畏耶和華的，大有倚靠；他的兒女也有避難所。
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
14:27 敬畏耶和華就是生命的泉源，可以使人離開死亡的網羅。
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
14:28 帝王榮耀在乎民多；君王衰敗在乎民少。
In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
14:29 不輕易發怒的，大有聰明；性情暴躁的，大顯愚妄。
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. hasty...: Heb. short of spirit
14:30 心中安靜是肉體的生命；嫉妒是骨中的朽爛。
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
14:31 欺壓貧寒的，是辱沒造他的主；憐憫窮乏的，乃是尊敬主。
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
14:32 惡人在所行的惡上必被推倒；義人臨死，有所投靠。
The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
14:33 智慧存在聰明人心中；愚昧人心裡所存的，顯而易見。
Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
14:34 公義使邦國高舉；罪惡是人民的羞辱。
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. to any...: Heb. to nations
14:35 智慧的臣子蒙王恩惠；貽羞的僕人遭其震怒。
The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
