42:1 （可拉後裔的訓誨詩，交與伶長。） 神啊，我的心切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水。
42:2 我的心渴想 神，就是永生 神；我幾時得朝見 神呢？
42:3 我晝夜以眼淚當飲食；人不住地對我說：你的 神在哪裡呢？
42:4 我從前與眾人同往，用歡呼稱讚的聲音領他們到 神的殿裡，大家守節。我追想這些事，我的心極其悲傷。
42:5 我的心哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裡面煩躁？應當仰望 神，因他笑臉幫助我；我還要稱讚他。
42:6 我的 神啊，我的心在我裡面憂悶，所以我從約旦地，從黑門嶺，從米薩山記念你。
42:7 你的瀑布發聲，深淵就與深淵響應；你的波浪洪濤漫過我身。
42:8 白晝，耶和華必向我施慈愛；黑夜，我要歌頌禱告賜我生命的 神。
42:9 我要對 神─我的磐石說：你為何忘記我呢？我為何因仇敵的欺壓時常哀痛呢？
42:10 我的敵人辱罵我，好像打碎我的骨頭，不住地對我說：你的 神在哪裡呢？
42:11 我的心哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裡面煩躁？應當仰望 神，因我還要稱讚他。他是我臉上的光榮（原文是幫助），是我的 神。
默想: 當仇敵嘲笑我們說：「你的上帝在那裡呢？」事實上，我們幾乎無法請上帝現身，叫對方親眼看見，好讓他閉嘴。當別人這樣對我們說話時，通常都是我們最低潮、挫折、失敗的時候。也是我們無法誇口自己的成功、穩妥之際。面對他人的嘲笑，我們甚至開口辯護都顯得困難。
詩人讓我們看見，他不是與仇敵爭辯、證明上帝是否存在。而是回到上帝的面前，你祂表明自己內心的悲傷難過與憤怒。同時詩人不是因此懷憂喪志，而是仰望上帝，讚美祂，因為他知道，面對敵人的羞辱時，上帝仍然是我們臉上的榮光，是我們的幫助，是我們的上帝。
題目: 當我們遭遇仇敵嘲笑說，你的神在那裡呢？我們要如何回應呢？

To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Maschil...: or, A Psalm giving instruction of the sons, etc panteth: Heb. brayeth
42:2 我的心渴想 神，就是永生 神；我幾時得朝見 神呢？
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
42:3 我晝夜以眼淚當飲食；人不住地對我說：你的 神在哪裡呢？
My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
42:4 我從前與眾人同往，用歡呼稱讚的聲音領他們到 神的殿裡，大家守節。我追想這些事，我的心極其悲傷。
When I remember these things , I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
42:5 我的心哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裡面煩躁？應當仰望 神，因他笑臉幫助我；我還要稱讚他。
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. cast: Heb. bowed praise: or, give thanks for the...: or, his presence is salvation
42:6 我的 神啊，我的心在我裡面憂悶，所以我從約旦地，從黑門嶺，從米薩山記念你。
O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. the hill...: or, the little hill
42:7 你的瀑布發聲，深淵就與深淵響應；你的波浪洪濤漫過我身。
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
42:8 白晝，耶和華必向我施慈愛；黑夜，我要歌頌禱告賜我生命的 神。
Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
42:9 我要對 神─我的磐石說：你為何忘記我呢？我為何因仇敵的欺壓時常哀痛呢？
I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
42:10 我的敵人辱罵我，好像打碎我的骨頭，不住地對我說：你的 神在哪裡呢？
As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? sword: or, killing
42:11 我的心哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裡面煩躁？應當仰望 神，因我還要稱讚他。他是我臉上的光榮（原文是幫助），是我的 神。
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
