W3 2013-05-22 (詩篇40-41)
40:1 （大衛的詩，交與伶長。）我曾耐性等候耶和華；他垂聽我的呼求。
40:2 他從禍坑裡，從淤泥中，把我拉上來，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我腳步穩當。
40:3 他使我口唱新歌，就是讚美我們 神的話。許多人必看見而懼怕，並要倚靠耶和華。
40:4 那倚靠耶和華、不理會狂傲和偏向虛假之輩的，這人便為有福！
40:5 耶和華─我的 神啊，你所行的奇事，並你向我們所懷的意念甚多，不能向你陳明。若要陳明，其事不可勝數。
40:6 祭物和禮物，你不喜悅；你已經開通我的耳朵。燔祭和贖罪祭非你所要。
40:7 那時我說：看哪，我來了！我的事在經卷上已經記載了。
40:8 我的 神啊，我樂意照你的旨意行；你的律法在我心裡。
40:9 我在大會中宣傳公義的佳音；我必不止住我的嘴唇。耶和華啊，這是你所知道的。
40:10 我未曾把你的公義藏在心裡；我已陳明你的信實和你的救恩；我在大會中未曾隱瞞你的慈愛和誠實。
40:11 耶和華啊，求你不要向我止住你的慈悲！願你的慈愛和誠實常常保佑我！
40:12 因有無數的禍患圍困我，我的罪孽追上了我，使我不能昂首；這罪孽比我的頭髮還多，我就心寒膽戰。
40:13 耶和華啊，求你開恩搭救我！耶和華啊，求你速速幫助我！
40:14 願那些尋找我、要滅我命的，一同抱愧蒙羞！願那些喜悅我受害的，退後受辱！
40:15 願那些對我說阿哈、阿哈的，因羞愧而敗亡！
40:16 願一切尋求你的，因你高興歡喜！願那些喜愛你救恩的，常說：當尊耶和華為大！
40:17 但我是困苦窮乏的，主仍顧念我；你是幫助我的，搭救我的。 神啊，求你不要耽延！
默想: 以色列人的宗教是一個獻祭的宗教，透過獻祭來使上帝的怒氣消除，回復關係。但是詩人在這裡卻說，上帝不喜悅獻燔祭與贖罪，那麼上帝期望的是什麼？上帝期望的是人心真實的改變，不是出於形式，也是甘心樂意過著一種順服的生命。上帝所著重的，不是我們在祭壇上獻上什麼，而是我們在生活中，活出什麼，我們是否樂意照著上帝的旨意行？是否將上帝的公義存在我們心中？是否活出上帝的慈愛與誠實？這些離開祭壇所做的事，遠遠勝於在祭壇上所獻上的物品。
題目: 根據詩篇四十篇，耶和華不喜悅燔祭與贖罪祭，請問耶和華喜悅的為何？

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. I waited...: Heb. In waiting I waited
40:2 他從禍坑裡，從淤泥中，把我拉上來，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我腳步穩當。
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. an...: Heb. a pit of noise
40:3 他使我口唱新歌，就是讚美我們 神的話。許多人必看見而懼怕，並要倚靠耶和華。
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it , and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
40:4 那倚靠耶和華、不理會狂傲和偏向虛假之輩的，這人便為有福！
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
40:5 耶和華─我的 神啊，你所行的奇事，並你向我們所懷的意念甚多，不能向你陳明。若要陳明，其事不可勝數。
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them , they are more than can be numbered. they cannot...: or, none can order them unto thee
40:6 祭物和禮物，你不喜悅；你已經開通我的耳朵。燔祭和贖罪祭非你所要。
Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. opened: Heb. digged
40:7 那時我說：看哪，我來了！我的事在經卷上已經記載了。
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
40:8 我的 神啊，我樂意照你的旨意行；你的律法在我心裡。
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. within...: Heb. in the midst of my bowels
40:9 我在大會中宣傳公義的佳音；我必不止住我的嘴唇。耶和華啊，這是你所知道的。
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
40:10 我未曾把你的公義藏在心裡；我已陳明你的信實和你的救恩；我在大會中未曾隱瞞你的慈愛和誠實。
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
40:11 耶和華啊，求你不要向我止住你的慈悲！願你的慈愛和誠實常常保佑我！
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
40:12 因有無數的禍患圍困我，我的罪孽追上了我，使我不能昂首；這罪孽比我的頭髮還多，我就心寒膽戰。
For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me. falleth: Heb. forsaketh
40:13 耶和華啊，求你開恩搭救我！耶和華啊，求你速速幫助我！
Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
40:14 願那些尋找我、要滅我命的，一同抱愧蒙羞！願那些喜悅我受害的，退後受辱！
Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
40:15 願那些對我說阿哈、阿哈的，因羞愧而敗亡！
Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
40:16 願一切尋求你的，因你高興歡喜！願那些喜愛你救恩的，常說：當尊耶和華為大！
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
40:17 但我是困苦窮乏的，主仍顧念我；你是幫助我的，搭救我的。 神啊，求你不要耽延！
But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
