全新四年樂活讀經
經文: 歷代志下 16:10-12 亞撒因此惱恨先見，將他囚在監裡。那時亞撒也虐待一些人民。亞撒所行的事，自始至終都寫在猶大和以色列諸王記上。亞撒作王三十九年，他腳上有病，而且甚重。病的時候沒有求耶和華，只求醫生。
默想: 亞撒王專心尋求倚靠耶和華，全國享受耶和華所賞賜的平安有三十五年之久。很可惜的是在亞撒王第三十六年時，發生以色列王南下巴沙、修築拉瑪，攻擊南國猶大的戰爭。這個時候不知道因何緣故，亞撒王竟然沒有向耶和華祈求幫助，而是轉而送厚禮給大馬色的亞蘭王便哈達，尋求便哈達的幫助。便哈達王接受亞撒的厚禮之後，出兵攻擊以色列王巴沙的城邑，逼使以色列王巴沙暫時放棄在拉瑪攻擊南國猶大的戰爭。亞撒王的危機得到解除。但是由於他沒有專心倚靠耶和華，所以耶和華差遣先見哈拿尼前來當面指責亞撒王。亞撒王不只沒有謙卑認罪悔改，甚至惱羞成怒，將先見囚到監裡，還苦待一些百姓。亞撒王三十九年罹患足疾，他也只尋找醫生的醫治，而沒有祈求耶和華，以致於亞撒王在四十一年時去世了。求主幫助我，能夠盡我一生專一尋求並倚靠耶和華。
題目: 亞撒在位三十六年後，先知哈拿尼責備他愚昧，沒有依靠耶和華，從此必常有戰爭。試想:在你的的生活中是否因離開上主。而讓生活常陷入紛亂中？
16:1 亞撒三十六年，以色列王巴沙上來攻擊猶大，修築拉瑪，不許人從猶大王亞撒那裡出入。
In the thirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Ba'asha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
16:2 於是亞撒從耶和華殿和王宮的府庫裡拿出金銀來，送與住大馬色的亞蘭王便哈達，說：
Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house, and sent them to Ben-ha'dad king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,
16:3 「你父曾與我父立約，我與你也要立約。現在我將金銀送給你，求你廢掉你與以色列王巴沙所立的約，使他離開我。」
"Let there be a league between me and you, as between my father and your father; behold, I am sending to you silver and gold; go, break your league with Ba'asha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me."
16:4 便哈達聽從亞撒王的話，派軍長去攻擊以色列的城邑。他們就攻破以雲、但、亞伯•瑪音，和拿弗他利一切的積貨城。
And Ben-ha'dad hearkened to King Asa, and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered I'jon, Dan, A'bel-ma'im, and all the store-cities of Naph'tali.
16:5 巴沙聽見就停工，不修築拉瑪了。
And when Ba'asha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.
16:6 於是亞撒王率領猶大眾人，將巴沙修築拉瑪所用的石頭、木頭都運去，用以修築迦巴和米斯巴。
Then King Asa took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Ba'asha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah.
16:7 那時，先見哈拿尼來見猶大王亞撒，對他說：「因你仰賴亞蘭王，沒有仰賴耶和華─你的 神，所以亞蘭王的軍兵脫離了你的手。
At that time Hana'ni the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you.
16:8 古實人、路比人的軍隊不是甚大嗎？戰車馬兵不是極多嗎？只因你仰賴耶和華，他便將他們交在你手裡。
Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with exceedingly many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, he gave them into your hand.
16:9 耶和華的眼目遍察全地，要顯大能幫助向他心存誠實的人。你這事行得愚昧；此後，你必有爭戰的事。」
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show his might in behalf of those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars."
16:10 亞撒因此惱恨先見，將他囚在監裡。那時亞撒也虐待一些人民。
Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the stocks, in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time.
16:11 亞撒所行的事，自始至終都寫在猶大和以色列諸王記上。
The acts of Asa, from first to last, are written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
16:12 亞撒作王三十九年，他腳上有病，而且甚重。病的時候沒有求耶和華，只求醫生。
In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe; yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but sought help from physicians.
16:13 他作王四十一年而死，與他列祖同睡，
And Asa slept with his fathers, dying in the forty-first year of his reign.
16:14 葬在大衛城自己所鑿的墳墓裡，放在床上，其床堆滿各樣馨香的香料，就是按做香的作法調和的香料，又為他燒了許多的物件。
They buried him in the tomb which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David. They laid him on a bier which had been filled with various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumer's art; and they made a very great fire in his honor.
