經文: 歷代志下 19:1-3 猶大王約沙法平平安安的回耶路撒冷，到宮裡去了。先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：你豈當幫助惡人，愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒臨到你。然而你還有善行，因你從國中除掉木偶，立定心意尋求神。
默想: 當耶和華保守猶大王約沙法平安的從戰場脫險，回到耶路撒冷時，耶和華差遣先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，當頭霹靂地指責約沙法王竟然去幫助恨惡耶和華的以色列王亞哈，因此，惹耶和華的忿怒。但是，耶戶也再度肯定約沙法王的優點，就是從國中除去偶像，並立定心意尋求神。我們沒有看到約沙法王因此動怒，或是處罰公開批判他的耶戶。約沙法王在全國設立審判官，要他們敬畏耶和華，忠心誠實辦事，秉公行義，處理百姓的爭議。求主幫助我，讓我也會謙卑聽進去別人對我的批判。在服侍時，存敬畏耶和華的態度，忠於所託。
題目: 約沙法親自走到人民中，囑咐審判官要根據神的道德和倫理標準……(v7)試想:你若是審判官，你會用什麼樣的標準來審判？
19:1 猶大王約沙法平平安安地回耶路撒冷，到宮裡去了。
Jehosh'aphat the king of Judah returned in safety to his house in Jerusalem.
19:2 先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你豈當幫助惡人，愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒臨到你。
But Jehu the son of Hana'ni the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehosh'aphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the LORD.
19:3 然而你還有善行，因你從國中除掉木偶，立定心意尋求 神。」
Nevertheless some good is found in you, for you destroyed the Ashe'rahs out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God."
19:4 約沙法住在耶路撒冷，以後又出巡民間，從別是巴直到以法蓮山地，引導民歸向耶和華─他們列祖的 神；
Jehosh'aphat dwelt at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people, from Beer-sheba to the hill country of E'phraim, and brought them back to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
19:5 又在猶大國中遍地的堅固城裡設立審判官，
He appointed judges in the land in all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,
19:6 對他們說：「你們辦事應當謹慎；因為你們判斷不是為人，乃是為耶和華。判斷的時候，他必與你們同在。
and said to the judges, "Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the LORD; he is with you in giving judgment.
19:7 現在你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹慎辦事；因為耶和華─我們的 神沒有不義，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。」
Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed what you do, for there is no perversion of justice with the LORD our God, or partiality, or taking bribes."
19:8 約沙法從利未人和祭司，並以色列族長中派定人，在耶路撒冷為耶和華判斷，聽民間的爭訟，就回耶路撒冷去了。
Moreover in Jerusalem Jehosh'aphat appointed certain Levites and priests and heads of families of Israel, to give judgment for the LORD and to decide disputed cases. They had their seat at Jerusalem.
19:9 約沙法囑咐他們說：「你們當敬畏耶和華，忠心誠實辦事。
And he charged them: "Thus you shall do in the fear of the LORD, in faithfulness, and with your whole heart:
19:10 住在各城裡你們的弟兄，若有爭訟的事來到你們這裡，或為流血，或犯律法、誡命、律例、典章，你們要警戒他們，免得他們得罪耶和華，以致他的忿怒臨到你們和你們的弟兄；這樣行，你們就沒有罪了。
whenever a case comes to you from your brethren who live in their cities, concerning bloodshed, law or commandment, statutes or ordinances, then you shall instruct them, that they may not incur guilt before the LORD and wrath may not come upon you and your brethren. Thus you shall do, and you will not incur guilt.
19:11 凡屬耶和華的事，有大祭司亞瑪利雅管理你們；凡屬王的事，有猶大支派的族長以實瑪利的兒子西巴第雅管理你們；在你們面前有利未人作官長。你們應當壯膽辦事，願耶和華與善人同在。」
And behold, Amari'ah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadi'ah the son of Ish'mael, the governor of the house of Judah, in all the king's matters; and the Levites will serve you as officers. Deal courageously, and may the LORD be with the upright!"
