經文: 民數記 8:17 以色列人中一切頭生的，連人帶牲畜，都是我的。我在埃及地擊殺一切頭生的那天，將他們分別為聖歸我
默想: 耶和華帶領以色列人出埃及時，法老王不願意讓以色列人離開，因此，上帝在埃及降下十個災難。最後一個災難直接涉及擊殺埃及人的長子，這才讓法老王願意讓以色列人離開埃及，脫離為奴的生活，獲得自由，得以侍奉耶和華。
題目: v.5-26 以色列人如何為利未人行潔盡之禮？你有何學習與看法？
8:1 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
Now the LORD said to Moses,
8:2 「你告訴亞倫說：點燈的時候，七盞燈都要向燈臺前面發光。」
"Say to Aaron, When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand."
8:3 亞倫便這樣行。他點燈臺上的燈，使燈向前發光，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。
And Aaron did so; he set up its lamps to give light in front of the lampstand, as the LORD commanded Moses.
8:4 這燈臺的作法是用金子錘出來的，連座帶花都是錘出來的。摩西製造燈臺，是照耶和華所指示的樣式。
And this was the workmanship of the lampstand, hammered work of gold; from its base to its flowers, it was hammered work; according to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
8:5 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
And the LORD said to Moses,
8:6 「你從以色列人中選出利未人來，潔淨他們。
"Take the Levites from among the people of Israel, and cleanse them.
8:7 潔淨他們當這樣行：用除罪水彈在他們身上，又叫他們用剃頭刀刮全身，洗衣服，潔淨自己。
And thus you shall do to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of expiation upon them, and let them go with a razor over all their body, and wash their clothes and cleanse themselves.
8:8 然後叫他們取一隻公牛犢，並同獻的素祭，就是調油的細麵；你要另取一隻公牛犢作贖罪祭。
Then let them take a young bull and its cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and you shall take another young bull for a sin offering.
8:9 將利未人奉到會幕前，招聚以色列全會眾。
And you shall present the Levites before the tent of meeting, and assemble the whole congregation of the people of Israel.
8:10 將利未人奉到耶和華面前，以色列人要按手在他們頭上。
When you present the Levites before the LORD, the people of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites,
8:11 亞倫也將他們奉到耶和華面前，為以色列人當作搖祭，使他們好辦耶和華的事。
and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the people of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of the LORD.
8:12 利未人要按手在那兩隻牛的頭上；你要將一隻作贖罪祭，一隻作燔祭，獻給耶和華，為利未人贖罪。
Then the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bulls; and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the LORD, to make atonement for the Levites.
8:13 你也要使利未人站在亞倫和他兒子面前，將他們當作搖祭奉給耶和華。
And you shall cause the Levites to attend Aaron and his sons, and shall offer them as a wave offering to the LORD.
8:14 「這樣，你從以色列人中將利未人分別出來，利未人便要歸我。
"Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the people of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
8:15 此後利未人要進去辦會幕的事，你要潔淨他們，將他們當作搖祭奉上；
And after that the Levites shall go in to do service at the tent of meeting, when you have cleansed them and offered them as a wave offering.
8:16 因為他們是從以色列人中全然給我的，我揀選他們歸我，是代替以色列人中一切頭生的。
For they are wholly given to me from among the people of Israel; instead of all that open the womb, the first-born of all the people of Israel, I have taken them for myself.
8:17 以色列人中一切頭生的，連人帶牲畜，都是我的。我在埃及地擊殺一切頭生的那天，將他們分別為聖歸我。
For all the first-born among the people of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast; on the day that I slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt I consecrated them for myself,
8:18 我揀選利未人代替以色列人中一切頭生的。
and I have taken the Levites instead of all the first-born among the people of Israel.
8:19 我從以色列人中將利未人當作賞賜給亞倫和他的兒子，在會幕中辦以色列人的事，又為以色列人贖罪，免得他們挨近聖所，有災殃臨到他們中間。」
And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the people of Israel, to do the service for the people of Israel at the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the people of Israel, that there may be no plague among the people of Israel in case the people of Israel should come near the sanctuary."
8:20 摩西、亞倫，並以色列全會眾便向利未人如此行。凡耶和華指著利未人所吩咐摩西的，以色列人就向他們這樣行。
Thus did Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the people of Israel to the Levites; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, the people of Israel did to them.
8:21 於是利未人潔淨自己，除了罪，洗了衣服；亞倫將他們當作搖祭奉到耶和華面前，又為他們贖罪，潔淨他們。
And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the LORD, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
8:22 然後利未人進去，在亞倫和他兒子面前，在會幕中辦事。耶和華指著利未人怎樣吩咐摩西，以色列人就怎樣向他們行了。
And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tent of meeting in attendance upon Aaron and his sons; as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
8:23 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
And the LORD said to Moses,
8:24 「利未人是這樣：從二十五歲以外，他們要前來任職，辦會幕的事。
"This is what pertains to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the work in the service of the tent of meeting;
8:25 到了五十歲要停工退任，不再辦事，
and from the age of fifty years they shall withdraw from the work of the service and serve no more,
8:26 只要在會幕裡，和他們的弟兄一同伺候，謹守所吩咐的，不再辦事了。至於所吩咐利未人的，你要這樣向他們行。」
but minister to their brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and they shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites in assigning their duties."
Now the LORD said to Moses,
8:2 「你告訴亞倫說：點燈的時候，七盞燈都要向燈臺前面發光。」

民數記 8:7 節告訴我們：「潔淨他們當這樣行：用除罪水彈在他們身上，又叫他們用剃頭刀刮全身，洗衣服，潔淨自己」。可見利未人在他們開始事奉之前，必先潔淨。他們之潔淨是兩方面的，首先是別人替他作，跟著是他自己作。別人替他作的，是把「除罪水」灑在他身上；讓後他自己必須用剃頭刀刮全身，洗衣服來「潔淨」自己。
回覆刪除同樣地，身為上帝的兒女，蒙召的人也該如此。跟利未人一樣，在事奉之前，必先「潔淨」自己。我們的「潔淨」也是兩方面：神方面的，和人方面的。我們的罪要得潔淨，只有基督的寶血洗淨一切的罪. 正如約翰一書 1:7~9節所述：「我們若在光明中行，如同神在光明中，就彼此相交，他兒子耶穌的血也洗淨我們一切的罪。我們若說自己無罪，便是自欺，真理不在我們心裡了。我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義」。我們若要過「潔淨」的生活，必須脫去一切污穢（雅1：21；西3：5-10）；自己那一部分的責任就不能逃避，日常生活中一些不潔的嗜，好像衣服一樣貼近我們，要「潔淨」它；亦有些像我們的毛髮一樣，成了我們一部分的，也要剃掉它。尤其是在事奉崗位上的，每天一定要多親近主，與神同行（啓3：4，5），一定要用神的話來治死我們的肉體，與及一切屬於世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾，眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲（約翰一書 2:16）。有人說得好：「實在沒有比按著肉體和老我，來事奉神更危險的了。」我們每天都要用水藉著道來潔淨我們的行爲，亦要用剃刀把一切從「老我」長出來的刮掉，要刮乾淨。
