經文: 民數記 17:10 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「把亞倫的杖還放在法櫃前，給這些背叛之子留作記號。這樣，你就使他們向我發的怨言止息，免得他們死亡。」
默想: 以色列人是喜歡發怨言的民族。他們被耶和華帶領，出埃及過紅海，走曠野到西乃。在曠野沒有水喝就發怨言，肚子餓沒有食物也發怨言。耶和華裂開石頭給他們水喝，耶和華降下嗎哪給他們當作食物，以色列人喝足吃飽，就抱怨沒有肉吃，還抱怨沒有埃及的韭菜蔥蒜，耶和華就讓鵪鶉飛來給以色列人吃，但是同時耶和華也擊殺那些起貪慾者以作為懲戒。那裡知道，被耶和華揀選，擔任會幕侍奉的利未人領袖可拉，居然可以煽動兩百五十位以色列領袖，影響全體以色列人，向摩西與亞倫的領導挑戰。以致於耶和華將可拉以及兩百五十位叛逆領袖擊殺，同時用瘟疫擊殺一萬四千七百人，結果還是年老的亞倫拿著香爐，奔跑於香壇與瘟疫民眾之間，才叫瘟疫止息。耶和華為了讓以色列人清楚看見，亞倫是耶和華所親自揀選的大祭司，因此，特別讓亞倫的手杖，在會幕內法櫃前，一夜之間，發芽、開花、還結出熟杏。耶和華特別吩咐摩西，將亞倫的手杖留在法櫃的前面，好讓以色列人作記號，免得以色列人又發怨言而死亡。親愛的主，求你保守我，讓我在你面前，常存感恩的心，不要常發怨言。
題目: 亞倫的杖發芽，表意如何？(參創32:10、出4:2-5、)為何上帝要摩西將這杖放在法櫃前，有何用意？(參民17:10、來9:4)你有何想法？
17:1 耶和華對摩西說：
The LORD said to Moses,
17:2 「你曉諭以色列人，從他們手下取杖，每支派一根；從他們所有的首領，按著支派，共取十二根。你要將各人的名字寫在各人的杖上，
"Speak to the people of Israel, and get from them rods, one for each fathers' house, from all their leaders according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods. Write each man's name upon his rod,
17:3 並要將亞倫的名字寫在利未的杖上，因為各族長必有一根杖。
and write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi. For there shall be one rod for the head of each fathers' house.
17:4 你要把這些杖存在會幕內法櫃前，就是我與你們相會之處。
Then you shall deposit them in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
17:5 後來我所揀選的那人，他的杖必發芽。這樣，我必使以色列人向你們所發的怨言止息，不再達到我耳中。」
And the rod of the man whom I choose shall sprout; thus I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the people of Israel, which they murmur against you."
17:6 於是摩西曉諭以色列人，他們的首領就把杖交給他，按著支派，每首領一根，共有十二根；亞倫的杖也在其中。
Moses spoke to the people of Israel; and all their leaders gave him rods, one for each leader, according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
17:7 摩西就把杖存在法櫃的帳幕內，在耶和華面前。
And Moses deposited the rods before the LORD in the tent of the testimony.
17:8 第二天，摩西進法櫃的帳幕去。誰知利未族亞倫的杖已經發了芽，生了花苞，開了花，結了熟杏。
And on the morrow Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.
17:9 摩西就把所有的杖從耶和華面前拿出來，給以色列眾人看；他們看見了，各首領就把自己的杖拿去。
Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the people of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.
17:10 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「把亞倫的杖還放在法櫃前，給這些背叛之子留作記號。這樣，你就使他們向我發的怨言止息，免得他們死亡。」
And the LORD said to Moses, "Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept as a sign for the rebels, that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, lest they die."
17:11 摩西就這樣行。耶和華怎樣吩咐他，他就怎樣行了。
Thus did Moses; as the LORD commanded him, so he did.
17:12 以色列人對摩西說：「我們死啦！我們滅亡啦！都滅亡啦！
And the people of Israel said to Moses, "Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.
17:13 凡挨近耶和華帳幕的是必死的。我們都要死亡嗎？」
Every one who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD, shall die. Are we all to perish?"
The LORD said to Moses,
17:2 「你曉諭以色列人，從他們手下取杖，每支派一根；從他們所有的首領，按著支派，共取十二根。你要將各人的名字寫在各人的杖上，

17:3 並要將亞倫的名字寫在利未的杖上，因為各族長必有一根杖。

And the people of Israel said to Moses, "Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.
17:13 凡挨近耶和華帳幕的是必死的。我們都要死亡嗎？」
Every one who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD, shall die. Are we all to perish?"

亞倫的杖發芽，表意如何？ 從民數記 17:5節，我們看見：上帝為了教導那些背叛的以色列人，止住他們的怨言並確認亞倫的職分和職務，給他發芽的杖作記號，來證明亞倫和利未人是上帝所揀選的僕人。上帝為了公平起見要求從以色列人所有的首領，從他們手下取杖，按著支派，每支派一根；共取十二根。將各人的名字寫在各人的杖上（民數記 17:2節）。
回覆刪除為何上帝要摩西將這杖放在法櫃前，有何用意？上帝更要求每支派,每一根杖必須存放於會幕內法櫃前：這十二根同樣的杖存在耶和華面前，人都退後，由上帝親自解決祭司問題，由上帝作全權的處理。上帝以活生生的證據來指出誰是上帝真正揀選的祭司，這證據有雙重意義：1) 生命 -----利未族亞倫的杖已經發了芽，生了花苞，乃表明「生命力」。凡上帝真正揀選的人一定有豐富的生命流露出來，因為這正是上帝性情的彰顯。總要記得，惟有富有生命的事奉才蒙上帝悅納和使用。2) 結果──亞倫的杖「開了花，結了熟杏」，表明他的事奉是有果效的，能為上帝得人）。因此，一個真正屬於上帝揀選的僕人，他的生命必然在不同方面產生效能。
約翰福音 12:24 節告訴我們：「我實實在在的告訴你們，一粒麥子不落在地裡死了，仍舊是一粒，若是死了，就結出許多子粒來」。可見先「死了」的種子，爾後才能結出果子來，這正說明了事奉的代價：惟有經過死而復活，真正重生，有主復活新生命樣式的人，才是蒙上帝悅納揀選使用的工人。在教會裡，我們要格外尊重這種有豐富生命的工人，聽從上帝透過他的口和筆所傳出來的生命信息，不可發怨言，更不可隨意批評他或不與他合作推動上帝的聖工。
