W2 2013-08-06 (提摩太前書1)
1:1 奉我們救主 神和我們的盼望基督耶穌之命，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅，
1:2 寫信給那因信主作我真兒子的提摩太。願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父 神和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！
1:3 我往馬其頓去的時候，曾勸你仍住在以弗所，好囑咐那幾個人不可傳異教，
1:4 也不可聽從荒渺無憑的話語和無窮的家譜；這等事只生辯論，並不發明 神在信上所立的章程。
1:5 但命令的總歸就是愛；這愛是從清潔的心和無虧的良心，無偽的信心生出來的。
默想: 保羅對提摩太強調，「命令的總歸就是愛」，我們信仰的目標就是要活出上帝的愛，若沒有愛，一切的命令、誡命都失去了意義。
這愛是從清潔的心和無虧的良心，無偽的信心生出來的。從我們的信仰來看，我們的內在生命中，聖潔是生命的基礎，一個不聖潔的人，就是活在罪中，我們內心的罪，容易使我們失去真正愛人的能力。其次若我們的良心有虧損，就容易活在控告之中，在控告中，我們會傾向防衛，而不是傾向敞開，一個防衛不敞開的感，是無法活出對人真正的愛來。最後虛假的信心，既是虛假，就不是真正的有信心，虛假更是阻絕我們真實去愛人的重要關卡，當我們帶著虛假的面具，卻要真心地去愛人，在本質上就是衝突的。求神幫助我們，我們能有清潔的心、無虧的良心、無偽的信心，好讓我們能夠真實活出愛人的生命。
題目: 愛是從那三種心出來的？你對此有何感想呢？
1:1 奉我們救主 神和我們的盼望基督耶穌之命，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅，
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
1:2 寫信給那因信主作我真兒子的提摩太。願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父 神和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！
Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
1:3 我往馬其頓去的時候，曾勸你仍住在以弗所，好囑咐那幾個人不可傳異教，
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
1:4 也不可聽從荒渺無憑的話語和無窮的家譜；這等事只生辯論，並不發明 神在信上所立的章程。
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do .
1:5 但命令的總歸就是愛；這愛是從清潔的心和無虧的良心，無偽的信心生出來的。
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1:6 有人偏離這些，反去講虛浮的話，
From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; having...: or, not aiming at
1:7 想要作教法師，卻不明白自己所講說的所論定的。
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
1:8 我們知道律法原是好的，只要人用得合宜；
But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
1:9 因為律法不是為義人設立的，乃是為不法和不服的，不虔誠和犯罪的，不聖潔和戀世俗的，弒父母和殺人的，
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1:10 行淫和親男色的，搶人口和說謊話的，並起假誓的，或是為別樣敵正道的事設立的。
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1:11 這是照著可稱頌之 神交託我榮耀福音說的。
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1:12 我感謝那給我力量的我們主基督耶穌，因他以我有忠心，派我服事他。
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1:13 我從前是褻瀆 神的，逼迫人的，侮慢人的；然而我還蒙了憐憫，因我是不信不明白的時候而做的。
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14 並且我主的恩是格外豐盛，使我在基督耶穌裡有信心和愛心。
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1:15 「基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人。」這話是可信的，是十分可佩服的。在罪人中我是個罪魁。
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1:16 然而，我蒙了憐憫，是因耶穌基督要在我這罪魁身上顯明他一切的忍耐，給後來信他得永生的人作榜樣。
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1:17 但願尊貴、榮耀歸與那不能朽壞、不能看見、永世的君王、獨一的 神，直到永永遠遠。阿們！
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1:18 我兒提摩太啊，我照從前指著你的預言，將這命令交託你，叫你因此可以打那美好的仗。
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
1:19 常存信心和無虧的良心。有人丟棄良心，就在真道上如同船破壞了一般。
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1:20 其中有許米乃和亞歷山大；我已經把他們交給撒但，使他們受責罰就不再謗瀆了。
Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
