W4 2012-03-29 (路14)經文: 路加福音 14:1-6 安息日,耶穌到一個法利賽人的首領家裡去吃飯,他們就窺探他。在他面前有一個患水臌的人。耶穌對律法師和法利賽人說:「安息日治病,可以不可以?」他們卻不言語。耶穌就治好那人,叫他走了;便對他們說:「你們中間誰有驢或有牛,在安息日掉在井裡,不立時拉他上來呢?」他們不能對答這話。

經文: 路加福音 14:1-6 安息日,耶穌到一個法利賽人的首領家裡去吃飯,他們就窺探他。在他面前有一個患水臌的人。耶穌對律法師和法利賽人說:「安息日治病,可以不可以?」他們卻不言語。耶穌就治好那人,叫他走了;便對他們說:「你們中間誰有驢或有牛,在安息日掉在井裡,不立時拉他上來呢?」他們不能對答這話。

默想: 法利賽人的首領請耶穌吃飯,表面上看起來,這位法利賽人的首領對耶穌是不錯的,因為他請耶穌吃飯,可是當我們看到接下來的描述,就不禁為主耶穌捏一把冷汗。原來法利賽人請耶穌吃飯,卻同時安排一位水臌病人到場,目的是想要窺探耶穌,看主耶穌是否會動了慈心,在安息日為這位水臌病人醫治,因此冒犯了要守安息日的誡命,這就可以成為他們控告耶穌的把柄。這場餐會可以說是一場鴻門宴啊!主耶穌知道他們的隱藏動機,卻勇敢的主動公開提出他們內心所想私下窺探耶穌的中心議題,也就是有關如何守安息日的爭議。主耶穌並非不尊重或遵守安息日。主耶穌所反對的是,不分青紅皂白、助人害人,安息日一律不准許的不人道律法主義。但是,在實際的情況之下,法利賽人對於安息日掉入井裡的牛驢,卻會立刻將這隻動物從井中拉上來。這表示法利賽人的不一致性。主耶穌直接切入爭議核心,詢問律法師與法利賽人說:安息日可以治病嗎?法利賽人使用緘默權而拒絕回答。主耶穌卻當著法利賽人的面前,將這位水臌病人給治好了。並且拿法利賽人在安息日會救牛出井的個案來向法利賽人質詢,讓法利賽人啞口無言。親愛的主啊!求你幫助我,在尊重與遵守聖經誡命的同時,也要考慮別人特殊的情況與需要,以及愛心在特殊情況之下的要求。

題目: 鹽失去本質或功能,唯有被丟棄。基督徒若失去本質或功能,是否也同樣被神所棄?(v34-35
14:1 安息日,耶穌到一個法利賽人的首領家裡去吃飯,他們就窺探他。
One sabbath when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching him.
14:2
在他面前有一個患水臌的人。
And behold, there was a man before him who had dropsy.
14:3
耶穌對律法師和法利賽人說:安息日治病,可以不可以?
And Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?"
14:4
他們卻不言語。耶穌就治好那人,叫他走了;
But they were silent. Then he took him and healed him, and let him go.
14:5
便對他們說:你們中間誰有驢或有牛,在安息日掉在井裡,不立時拉牠上來呢?
And he said to them, "Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well, will not immediately pull him out on a sabbath day?"
14:6
他們不能對答這話。
And they could not reply to this.
14:7
耶穌見所請的客揀擇首位,就用比喻對他們說:
Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he marked how they chose the places of honor, saying to them,
14:8
你被人請去赴婚姻的筵席,不要坐在首位上,恐怕有比你尊貴的客被他請來;
"When you are invited by any one to a marriage feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest a more eminent man than you be invited by him;
14:9
那請你們的人前來對你說:讓座給這一位吧!你就羞羞慚慚的退到末位上去了。
and he who invited you both will come and say to you, `Give place to this man,' and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place.
14:10
你被請的時候,就去坐在末位上,好叫那請你的人來對你說:朋友,請上坐。那時,你在同席的人面前就有光彩了。
But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, `Friend, go up higher'; then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you.
14:11
因為,凡自高的,必降為卑,自卑的,必升為高。
For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
14:12
耶穌又對請他的人說:你擺設午飯或晚飯,不要請你的朋友、弟兄、親屬,和富足的鄰舍,恐怕他們也請你,你就得了報答。
He said also to the man who had invited him, "When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your kinsmen or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and you be repaid.
14:13
你擺設筵席,倒要請那貧窮的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的,你就有福了!
But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind,
14:14
因為他們沒有甚麼可報答你。到義人復活的時候,你要得著報答。
and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just."
14:15
同席的有一人聽見這話,就對耶穌說:在 神國裡吃飯的有福了!
When one of those who sat at table with him heard this, he said to him, "Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!"
14:16
耶穌對他說:有一人擺設大筵席,請了許多客。
But he said to him, "A man once gave a great banquet, and invited many;
14:17
到了坐席的時候,打發僕人去對所請的人說:請來吧!樣樣都齊備了。
and at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, `Come; for all is now ready.'
14:18
眾人一口同音的推辭。頭一個說:我買了一塊地,必須去看看。請你准我辭了。
But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, `I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it; I pray you, have me excused.'
14:19
又有一個說:我買了五對牛,要去試一試。請你准我辭了。
And another said, `I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them; I pray you, have me excused.'
14:20
又有一個說:我才娶了妻,所以不能去。
And another said, `I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.'
14:21
那僕人回來,把這事都告訴了主人。家主就動怒,對僕人說:快出去,到城裡大街小巷,領那貧窮的、殘廢的、瞎眼的、瘸腿的來。
So the servant came and reported this to his master. Then the householder in anger said to his servant, `Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and maimed and blind and lame.'
14:22
僕人說:主啊,你所吩咐的已經辦了,還有空座。
And the servant said, `Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.'
14:23
主人對僕人說,你出去到路上和籬笆那裡,勉強人進來,坐滿我的屋子。
And the master said to the servant, `Go out to the highways and hedges, and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.
14:24
我告訴你們,先前所請的人,沒有一個得嘗我的筵席。
For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.'"
14:25
有極多的人和耶穌同行。他轉過來對他們說:
Now great multitudes accompanied him; and he turned and said to them,
14:26
人到我這裡來,若不愛我勝過愛(愛我勝過愛:原文是恨)自己的父母、妻子、兒女、弟兄、姊妹,和自己的性命,就不能作我的門徒。
"If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
14:27
凡不背著自己十字架跟從我的,也不能作我的門徒。
Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
14:28
你們那一個要蓋一座樓,不先坐下算計花費,能蓋成不能呢?
For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
14:29
恐怕安了地基,不能成功,看見的人都笑話他,說:
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
14:30
這個人開了工,卻不能完工。
saying, `This man began to build, and was not able to finish.'
14:31
或是一個王出去和別的王打仗,豈不先坐下酌量,能用一萬兵去敵那領二萬兵來攻打他的嗎?
Or what king, going to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
14:32
若是不能,就趁敵人還遠的時候,派使者去求和息的條款。
And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an embassy and asks terms of peace.
14:33
這樣,你們無論甚麼人,若不撇下一切所有的,就不能作我的門徒。
So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
14:34
鹽本是好的;鹽若失了味,可用甚麼叫它再鹹呢?
"Salt is good; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored?
14:35
或用在田裡,或堆在糞裡,都不合式,只好丟在外面。有耳可聽的,就應當聽!
It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill; men throw it away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

  1. 路加福音 14:34 「鹽本是好的;鹽若失了味,可用什麼叫他再鹹呢?
    馬太福音 5:13 「你們是世上的鹽。鹽若失了味,怎能叫他再鹹呢?以後無用,不過丟在外面,被人踐踏了。

    耶穌以鹽作為基督徒生活的象徵。至於鹽的本質是些甚麼呢!在巴勒斯坦,鹽有三大功用。
    (一) 鹽可用來作防腐劑。鹽是最早使用的防腐劑。真正的基督徒一定要扮演防腐劑的角色,對抗世界的腐敗。
    (二) 鹽可用來調味。菜裏沒有鹽,便變得索然無味。而基督徒應為生命帶來一些滋味。
    (三) 鹽可用來作肥料。鹽有助於百穀的生長。基督徒要像鹽一樣,使人易於向善,怯於變壞。

    摩 根 ( G. Campbell Morgan 1863 - 1945 )認為鹽象徵門徒。一個人為主委身和捨己是好的,值得嘉許。但我們讀到鹽失了味。現代的食鹽是不能失味的,因為是純鹽;但在聖經當時的處境,鹽常常混雜各種雜質,因此鹽有可能會耗損,剩下一些渣滓留在器皿中。渣滓沒有任何用處,甚至不可用作肥田料,只可丟掉。可見失味的鹽,作甚麼都不合式,只好被當作廢料而廢棄。

    這幅圖畫是一個門徒有輝煌的開始,然後背棄承諾。門徒有一個存在的基本理由,如果他不能滿足這個理由,就是一個可憐的東西了。我們看見失了味的鹽「只好丟在外面」。經文不是說神把它丟在外面,這是永不可能發生的事;而是人把鹽丟在外面,意思是人在腳下踐踏那開始了建造,卻不能完成的人的見證。

    求主幫助我們,作個生活有見證的基督徒,在職場,家庭,教會,社會上作個有誠信的人,是就說是,不是就說不是,言行一致,沒有兩套標準,就像鹽一樣不會變質的,作一個防腐劑,對抗世界的腐敗,常幫助周遭到人類作調和的工作,幫助弟兄姐妹,喜愛神的話語,在靈裡長進,活出生命更美好的人生!。
