經文: 路加福音 12:1-2 這時，有幾萬人聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌開講，先對門徒說：「你們要防備法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的；隱藏的事，沒有不被人知道的。
默想: 當主耶穌的名望高升，有幾萬個人彼此推擠，要來聽主耶穌的教導時，主耶穌並沒有因此得意忘形，就把注意力從這十二個門徒身上轉到這一大群熱心推擠的眾人。主耶穌知道，能夠將福音傳到普天下的，並不是眼前這一大票熱情擁擠的眾人，而是這一小群每天跟隨他一起生活的十二位門徒。因此，主耶穌在向眾人正式開講之前，先對身旁這十二位放下一切跟隨他的門徒有一點私下的教導。他要求門徒們要防備法利賽人的負面影響，就是假冒為善。假冒為善是像酵一樣，對於周遭的環境會產生不知不覺的影響。求主幫助我，讓我不要只沉溺於群眾的掌聲而沾沾自喜，讓我願意發時間與精力栽培幾位門徒。求主幫助我，讓我注意自己的誠信與坦誠，讓我的生命能夠裡外一致、言行一致、公私一致 (integrity)。
題目: 當趁著還有時間，耶穌在問：「你若自認為在上帝面前是個罪人，那就趁著你還有生命時，與上帝和解吧！」(v54-59)
12:1 這時，有幾萬人聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌開講，先對門徒說：你們要防備法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。
In the meantime, when so many thousands of the multitude had gathered together that they trod upon one another, he began to say to his disciples first, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
12:2 掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的；隱藏的沒有不被人知道的。
Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
12:3 因此，你們在暗中所說的，將要在明處被人聽見；在內室附耳所說的，將要在房上被人宣揚。
Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
12:4 我的朋友，我對你們說，那殺身體以後不能再作甚麼的，不要怕他們。
"I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
12:5 我要指示你們當怕的是誰：當怕那殺了以後又有權柄丟在地獄裡的。我實在告訴你們，正要怕他。
But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear him!
12:6 五個麻雀不是賣二分銀子嗎？但在 神面前，一個也不忘記；
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
12:7 就是你們的頭髮，也都被數過了。不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！
Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
12:8 我又告訴你們，凡在人面前認我的，人子在 神的使者面前也必認他；
"And I tell you, every one who acknowledges me before men, the Son of man also will acknowledge before the angels of God;
12:9 在人面前不認我的，人子在 神的使者面前也必不認他。
but he who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
12:10 凡說話干犯人子的，還可得赦免；惟獨褻瀆聖靈的，總不得赦免。
And every one who speaks a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
12:11 人帶你們到會堂，並官府和有權柄的人面前，不要思慮怎麼分訴，說甚麼話；
And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you are to answer or what you are to say;
12:12 因為正在那時候，聖靈要指教你們當說的話。
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."
12:13 眾人中有一個人對耶穌說：夫子！請你吩咐我的兄長和我分開家業。
One of the multitude said to him, "Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me."
12:14 耶穌說：你這個人！誰立我作你們斷事的官，給你們分家業呢？
But he said to him, "Man, who made me a judge or divider over you?"
12:15 於是對眾人說：你們要謹慎自守，免去一切的貪心，因為人的生命不在乎家道豐富。
And he said to them, "Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
12:16 就用比喻對他們說：有一個財主田產豐盛；
And he told them a parable, saying, "The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully;
12:17 自己心裡思想說：我的出產沒有地方收藏，怎麼辦呢？
and he thought to himself, `What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?'
12:18 又說：我要這麼辦：要把我的倉房拆了，另蓋更大的，在那裡好收藏我一切的糧食和財物，
And he said, `I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
12:19 然後要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可作多年的費用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快樂吧！
And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.'
12:20 神卻對他說：無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？
But God said to him, `Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?'
12:21 凡為自己積財，在 神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。
So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
12:22 耶穌又對門徒說：所以我告訴你們，不要為生命憂慮吃甚麼，為身體憂慮穿甚麼；
And he said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat, nor about your body, what you shall put on.
12:23 因為生命勝於飲食，身體勝於衣裳。
For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
12:24 你想烏鴉，也不種也不收，又沒有倉又沒有庫， 神尚且養活牠。你們比飛鳥是何等的貴重呢！
Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
12:25 你們那一個能用思慮使壽數多加一刻呢（或作：使身量多加一肘呢）？
And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his span of life?
12:26 這最小的事，你們尚且不能作，為甚麼還憂慮其餘的事呢？
If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?
12:27 你想百合花怎麼長起來；他也不勞苦，也不紡線。然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的，還不如這花一朵呢！
Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
12:28 你們這小信的人哪，野地裡的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐裡， 神還給它這樣的妝飾，何況你們呢！
But if God so clothes the grass which is alive in the field today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O men of little faith!
12:29 你們不要求吃甚麼，喝甚麼，也不要罣心；
And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be of anxious mind.
12:30 這都是外邦人所求的。你們必須用這些東西，你們的父是知道的。
For all the nations of the world seek these things; and your Father knows that you need them.
12:31 你們只要求他的國，這些東西就必加給你們了。
Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things shall be yours as well.
12:32 你們這小群，不要懼怕，因為你們的父樂意把國賜給你們。
"Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
12:33 你們要變賣所有的賙濟人，為自己預備永不壞的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。
Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
12:34 因為，你們的財寶在那裡，你們的心也在那裡。
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
12:35 你們腰裡要束上帶，燈也要點著，
"Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning,
12:36 自己好像僕人等候主人從婚姻的筵席上回來。他來到，叩門，就立刻給他開門。
and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the marriage feast, so that they may open to him at once when he comes and knocks.
12:37 主人來了，看見僕人儆醒，那僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人必叫他們坐席，自己束上帶，進前伺候他們。
Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes; truly, I say to you, he will gird himself and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them.
12:38 或是二更天來，或是三更天來，看見僕人這樣，那僕人就有福了。
If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants!
12:39 家主若知道賊甚麼時候來，就必儆醒，不容賊挖透房屋，這是你們所知道的。
But know this, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into.
12:40 你們也要預備；因為你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。
You also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an unexpected hour."
12:41 彼得說：主啊，這比喻是為我們說的呢？還是為眾人呢？
Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for all?"
12:42 主說：誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裡的人，按時分糧給他們呢？
And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?
12:43 主人來到，看見僕人這樣行，那僕人就有福了。
Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.
12:44 我實在告訴你們，主人要派他管理一切所有的。
Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
12:45 那僕人若心裡說：我的主人必來得遲，就動手打僕人和使女，並且吃喝醉酒；
But if that servant says to himself, `My master is delayed in coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
12:46 在他想不到的日子，不知道的時辰，那僕人的主人要來，重重的處治他（或作：把他腰斬了），定他和不忠心的人同罪。
the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will punish him, and put him with the unfaithful.
12:47 僕人知道主人的意思，卻不預備，又不順他的意思行，那僕人必多受責打；
And that servant who knew his master's will, but did not make ready or act according to his will, shall receive a severe beating.
12:48 惟有那不知道的，做了當受責打的事，必少受責打；因為多給誰，就向誰多取；多託誰，就向誰多要。
But he who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, shall receive a light beating. Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more.
12:49 我來要把火丟在地上，倘若已經著起來，不也是我所願意的嗎？
"I came to cast fire upon the earth; and would that it were already kindled!
12:50 我有當受的洗還沒有成就，我是何等的迫切呢？
I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how I am constrained until it is accomplished!
12:51 你們以為我來，是叫地上太平嗎？我告訴你們，不是，乃是叫人紛爭。
Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division;
12:52 從今以後，一家五個人將要紛爭：三個人和兩個人相爭，兩個人和三個人相爭；
for henceforth in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three;
12:53 父親和兒子相爭，兒子和父親相爭；母親和女兒相爭，女兒和母親相爭；婆婆和媳婦相爭，媳婦和婆婆相爭。
they will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against her mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
12:54 耶穌又對眾人說：你們看見西邊起了雲彩，就說：要下一陣雨；果然就有。
He also said to the multitudes, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, `A shower is coming'; and so it happens.
12:55 起了南風，就說：將要燥熱；也就有了。
And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, `There will be scorching heat'; and it happens.
12:56 假冒為善的人哪，你們知道分辨天地的氣色，怎麼不知道分辨這時候呢？
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky; but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
12:57 你們又為何不自己審量甚麼是合理的呢？
"And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?
12:58 你同告你的對頭去見官，還在路上，務要盡力的和他了結；恐怕他拉你到官面前，官交付差役，差役把你下在監裡。
As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in prison.
12:59 我告訴你，若有半文錢沒有還清，你斷不能從那裡出來。
I tell you, you will never get out till you have paid the very last copper."
