W4 2011-08-18 (羅3)經文: 羅馬書 3:23 因為世人都犯了罪,虧缺了神的榮耀。

經文: 羅馬書 3:23 因為世人都犯了罪,虧缺了神的榮耀。

默想: 保羅在這裡所提到的犯罪,是指虧缺上帝榮耀的罪。這是指沒有做到所當做的罪 (Sin of Omission),這是道德的責任。另外一種罪是去做所不當做的罪 (Sin of Commission),這是道德的禁忌。一般而言,當討論到罪時,我們比較常想到是有關冒犯道德禁忌的言行。求主幫助我,讓我也注意到我是否犯了沒有盡到道德責任的罪。

題目: 25-26節,挽回祭是什麼祭?有何重要特殊意思?對我們的信心有何提醒?(參約壹2:1-2、來2:17)
3:1 這樣說來,猶太人有甚麼長處?割禮有甚麼益處呢?
Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?
3:2
凡事大有好處:第一是 神的聖言交託他們。
Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews are entrusted with the oracles of God.
3:3
即便有不信的,這有何妨呢?難道他們的不信就廢掉 神的信嗎?
What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?
3:4
斷乎不能!不如說, 神是真實的,人都是虛謊的。如經上所記:你責備人的時候,顯為公義;被人議論的時候,可以得勝。
By no means! Let God be true though every man be false, as it is written, "That thou mayest be justified in thy words, and prevail when thou art judged."
3:5
我且照著人的常話說,我們的不義若顯出 神的義來,我們可以怎麼說呢? 神降怒,是他不義麼?
But if our wickedness serves to show the justice of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.)
3:6
斷乎不是!若是這樣, 神怎能審判世界呢?
By no means! For then how could God judge the world?
3:7
若 神的真實,因我的虛謊越發顯出他的榮耀,為甚麼我還受審判,好像罪人呢?
But if through my falsehood God's truthfulness abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?
3:8
為甚麼不說,我們可以作惡以成善呢?這是毀謗我們的人說我們有這話。這等人定罪是該當的。
And why not do evil that good may come? -- as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.
3:9
這卻怎麼樣呢?我們比他們強麼?決不是的!因我們已經證明,猶太人和希臘人都在罪惡之下。
What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all; for I have already charged that all men, both Jews and Greeks, are under the power of sin,
3:10
就如經上所記:沒有義人,連一個也沒有。
as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;
3:11
沒有明白的;沒有尋求 神的;
no one understands, no one seeks for God.
3:12
都是偏離正路,一同變為無用。沒有行善的,連一個也沒有。
All have turned aside, together they have gone wrong; no one does good, not even one."
3:13
他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓;他們用舌頭弄詭詐,嘴唇裡有虺蛇的毒氣,
"Their throat is an open grave, they use their tongues to deceive." "The venom of asps is under their lips."
3:14
滿口是咒罵苦毒。
"Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness."
3:15
殺人流血,他們的腳飛跑,
"Their feet are swift to shed blood,
3:16
所經過的路便行殘害暴虐的事。
in their paths are ruin and misery,
3:17
平安的路,他們未曾知道;
and the way of peace they do not know."
3:18
他們眼中不怕 神。
"There is no fear of God before their eyes."
3:19
我們曉得律法上的話都是對律法以下之人說的,好塞住各人的口,叫普世的人都伏在 神審判之下。
Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
3:20
所以凡有血氣的,沒有一個因行律法能在 神面前稱義,因為律法本是叫人知罪。
For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
3:21
但如今, 神的義在律法以外已經顯明出來,有律法和先知為證:
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it,
3:22
就是 神的義,因信耶穌基督加給一切相信的人,並沒有分別。
the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction;
3:23
因為世人都犯了罪,虧缺了 神的榮耀;
since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24
如今卻蒙 神的恩典,因基督耶穌的救贖,就白白的稱義。
they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus,
3:25
 神設立耶穌作挽回祭,是憑著耶穌的血,藉著人的信,要顯明 神的義;因為他用忍耐的心寬容人先時所犯的罪,
whom God put forward as an expiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins;
3:26
好在今時顯明他的義,使人知道他自己為義,也稱信耶穌的人為義。
it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies him who has faith in Jesus.
3:27
既是這樣,那裡能誇口呢?沒有可誇的了。用何法沒有的呢?是用立功之法嗎?不是,乃用信主之法。
Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On the principle of works? No, but on the principle of faith.
3:28
所以(有古卷:因為)我們看定了:人稱義是因著信,不在乎遵行律法。
For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law.
3:29
難道 神只作猶太人的 神嗎?不也是作外邦人的 神嗎?是的,也作外邦人的 神。
Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
3:30
 神既是一位,他就要因信稱那受割禮的為義,也要因信稱那未受割禮的為義。
since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith.
3:31
這樣,我們因信廢了律法嗎?斷乎不是!更是堅固律法。
Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

  1. 羅馬書 3:25 ~26告訴我們:「 上帝設立耶穌作挽回祭,是憑著耶穌的血,藉著人的信,要顯明上帝的義;因為他用忍耐的心寬容人先時所犯的罪,好在今時顯明他的義,使人知道他自己為義,也稱信耶穌的人為義。」

    保羅在羅馬書第3:25節已講得十分清楚,上帝設立了耶穌作挽回祭。「挽回祭」(ἱλαστήριον)一詞的意義很重要。此字在新約中只用過兩次:希伯來書9:5節和羅馬書 3:25節。在希伯來書此字(ἱλαστήριον hilasteÒrion) 的用法是指施恩座(mercy seat, God displayed Jesus as the “mercy seat”, the place where propitiation was accomplished, the place God forgives sins)。這裏很清楚地有“挽回”的意思.

    人類,因不虔不義,行不義阻擋真理而犯罪時,上帝向人發怒了;耶穌受死的功勞就是要把上帝從忿怒中挽回過來(羅馬書 1:18)。上帝在向人發怒的時候,上帝和人沒有話講了,完全沒有交通了(舊新約大約有四百多年的靜默期),直到基督作成了我們的挽回祭,且蒙上帝悅納了,上帝才被挽回過來,可以恢復和人對話。救恩的目的是要顯明上帝的義。耶穌基督完成救恩的救贖,都是為成就上帝的愛和顯明上帝的義。因着上帝的愛,祂才為人預備救恩,但也是因着祂的義,祂才向罪人發怒,才需要設立耶穌作「挽回祭」。

    感謝上帝!憑着耶穌的寶血,我們必須繼續保持對「恩典」的信心,不能中途停下來。繼續不斷地信靠耶穌基督,只有這樣的人,知道自己是得罪上帝的人,在上帝的忿怒中,基督為我們作了挽回祭,我們憑自己不能得上帝悅納,只有接受基督,有了復活的生命,新生的樣式,才能討主悅納。唯有這樣的持續的信心,我們能享受耶穌的挽回祭的好處。
