經文: 出埃及記 13:21-22 日間，耶和華在雲柱中領他們的路；夜間，在火柱中光照他們，使他們日夜都可以行走。日間雲柱，夜間火柱，總不離開百姓的面前。
默想: 耶和華帶領以色列人出埃及之後，走進曠野的道路。耶和華在白天用雲柱來遮蔽曠野的烈日，使以色列人不受烈日的酷曬之苦。同時，雲註也一路帶領以色列人在曠野中前進的方向，以免在曠野中迷路。到了晚上，天黑地凍的，耶和華又賞賜火柱，不只照亮以色列人在黑夜中得以看清楚前面的方向，也可以帶給以色列人一些溫暖。感謝上帝的恩典，會照著我們人生處境的需要，而賞賜給我們夠用的恩典與帶領。
題目: 13:1-16對於將頭生的牲畜歸給耶和華有何意義？這與救贖有何關聯？
13:1 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
The LORD said to Moses,
13:2 「以色列中凡頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都是我的，要分別為聖歸我。」
"Consecrate to me all the first-born; whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine."
13:3 摩西對百姓說：「你們要記念從埃及為奴之家出來的這日，因為耶和華用大能的手將你們從這地方領出來。有酵的餅都不可吃。
And Moses said to the people, "Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage, for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place; no leavened bread shall be eaten.
13:4 亞筆月間的這日是你們出來的日子。
This day you are to go forth, in the month of Abib.
13:5 將來耶和華領你進迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你的祖宗起誓應許給你那流奶與蜜之地，那時你要在這月間守這禮。
And when the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, and the Jeb'usites, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall keep this service in this month.
13:6 你要吃無酵餅七日，到第七日要向耶和華守節。
Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the LORD.
13:7 這七日之久，要吃無酵餅；在你四境之內不可見有酵的餅，也不可見發酵的物。
Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen with you, and no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory.
13:8 當那日，你要告訴你的兒子說：『這是因耶和華在我出埃及的時候為我所行的事。
And you shall tell your son on that day, `It is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.'
13:9 這要在你手上作記號，在你額上作紀念，使耶和華的律法常在你口中，因為耶和華曾用大能的手將你從埃及領出來。
And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.
13:10 所以你每年要按著日期守這例。』」
You shall therefore keep this ordinance at its appointed time from year to year.
13:11 「將來，耶和華照他向你和你祖宗所起的誓將你領進迦南人之地，把這地賜給你，
"And when the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and your fathers, and shall give it to you,
13:12 那時你要將一切頭生的，並牲畜中頭生的，歸給耶和華；公的都要屬耶和華。
you shall set apart to the LORD all that first opens the womb. All the firstlings of your cattle that are males shall be the LORD's.
13:13 凡頭生的驢，你要用羊羔代贖；若不代贖，就要打折牠的頸項。凡你兒子中頭生的都要贖出來。
Every firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. Every first-born of man among your sons you shall redeem.
13:14 日後，你的兒子問你說：『這是甚麼意思？』你就說：『耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及為奴之家領出來。
And when in time to come your son asks you, `What does this mean?' you shall say to him, `By strength of hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13:15 那時法老幾乎不容我們去，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都殺了。因此，我把一切頭生的公牲畜獻給耶和華為祭，但將頭生的兒子都贖出來。
For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both the first-born of man and the first-born of cattle. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all the males that first open the womb; but all the first-born of my sons I redeem.'
13:16 這要在你手上作記號，在你額上作經文，因為耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及領出來。』」
It shall be as a mark on your hand or frontlets between your eyes; for by a strong hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt."
13:17 法老容百姓去的時候，非利士地的道路雖近， 神卻不領他們從那裡走；因為 神說：「恐怕百姓遇見打仗後悔，就回埃及去。」
When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, "Lest the people repent when they see war, and return to Egypt."
13:18 所以 神領百姓繞道而行，走紅海曠野的路。以色列人出埃及地，都帶著兵器上去。
But God led the people round by the way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea. And the people of Israel went up out of the land of Egypt equipped for battle.
13:19 摩西把約瑟的骸骨一同帶去；因為約瑟曾叫以色列人嚴嚴地起誓，對他們說：「 神必眷顧你們，你們要把我的骸骨從這裡一同帶上去。」
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him; for Joseph had solemnly sworn the people of Israel, saying, "God will visit you; then you must carry my bones with you from here."
13:20 他們從疏割起行，在曠野邊的以倘安營。
And they moved on from Succoth, and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.
13:21 日間，耶和華在雲柱中領他們的路；夜間，在火柱中光照他們，使他們日夜都可以行走。
And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night;
13:22 日間雲柱，夜間火柱，總不離開百姓的面前。
the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.
The LORD said to Moses,
13:2 「以色列中凡頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都是我的，要分別為聖歸我。」
"Consecrate to me all the first-born; whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine."
13:3 摩西對百姓說：「你們要記念從埃及為奴之家出來的這日，因為耶和華用大能的手將你們從這地方領出來。有酵的餅都不可吃。
