�文: 出埃及� 33:22 我的�耀��的�候，我必�你放在磐石穴中，用我的手遮掩你，等我�去。
默想: 摩西要求�主耶和�的面。耶和�不只答�，�考�到一�罪人，�眼�到��公�的耶和�的面，所可能立�遭遇上帝公��判而一命�呼哀哉的不幸下�。因此，耶和�特�找到一�有裂�穴洞的大磐石。耶和�要摩西躲在��磐石穴中，�用手遮掩摩西。等耶和�走�之後，才�摩西可以�磐石穴中，一�耶和�的背面��耀。�是何等的�柔�恩典。�我想起那一首��，替我打破磐石身，�我躲在你�面。感�主耶�的恩典。
�目: �於摩西�上帝求：「好在你眼前蒙恩」（v.13）、「求祢�出你的�耀�我看」(v.18)，上帝的回�如何？你有何感想���？
33:1 耶和�吩咐摩西�：「我曾起誓���伯拉罕、以撒、雅各�：『要�迦南地��你的後裔。�在你和你�埃及地所�出�的百姓，要���往那地去。
The LORD said to Moses, "Depart, go up hence, you and the people whom you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, `To your descendants I will give it.'
33:2 我要差遣使者在你前面，�出迦南人、�摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，
And I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Per'izzites, the Hivites, and the Jeb'usites.
33:3 �你到那流奶�蜜之地。我自己不同你�上去；因�你�是硬著��的百姓，恐怕我在路上把你���。」
Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, lest I consume you in the way, for you are a stiff-necked people."
33:4 百姓���凶信就悲哀，也�有人佩戴��。
When the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned; and no man put on his ornaments.
33:5 耶和��摩西�：「你告�以色列人�：『耶和��：你�是硬著��的百姓，我若一霎��到你�中�，必��你�。�在你�要把身上的��摘下�，使我可以知道怎�待你�。』」
For the LORD had said to Moses, "Say to the people of Israel, `You are a stiff-necked people; if for a single moment I should go up among you, I would consume you. So now put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do with you.'"
33:6 以色列人�住何烈山以後，就把身上的��摘得乾�。
Therefore the people of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments, from Mount Horeb onward.
33:7 摩西素常��棚支搭在�外，����，他���棚��幕。凡求�耶和�的，就到�外的�幕那�去。
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp; and he called it the tent of meeting. And every one who sought the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.
33:8 �摩西出�到�幕去的�候，百姓就都起�，各人站在自己�棚的�口，望著摩西，直等到他�了�幕。
Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose up, and every man stood at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he had gone into the tent.
33:9 摩西��幕的�候，�柱降下�，立在�幕的�前，耶和�便�摩西��。
When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tent, and the LORD would speak with Moses.
33:10 �百姓看��柱立在�幕�前，就都起�，各人在自己�棚的�口下拜。
And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the door of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, every man at his tent door.
33:11 耶和��摩西面�面��，好像人�朋友��一般。摩西�到��去，惟有他的�手─一�少年人嫩的�子���不���幕。
Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent.
33:12 摩西�耶和��：「你吩咐我�：『��百姓�上去』，��有叫我知道你要打���我同去，只�：『我按你的名��你，你在我眼前也蒙了恩。』
Moses said to the LORD, "See, thou sayest to me, `Bring up this people'; but thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, `I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.'
33:13 我如今若在你眼前蒙恩，求你�你的道指示我，使我可以��你，好在你眼前蒙恩。求你想到�民是你的民。」
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thy sight, show me now thy ways, that I may know thee and find favor in thy sight. Consider too that this nation is thy people."
33:14 耶和��：「我必�自和你同去，使你得安息。」
And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
33:15 摩西�：「你若不�自和我同去，就不要把我�����上去。
And he said to him, "If thy presence will not go with me, do not carry us up from here.
33:16 人在何事上得以知道我和你的百姓在你眼前蒙恩呢？�不是因你�我�同去、使我和你的百姓�地上的�民有分��？」
For how shall it be known that I have found favor in thy sight, I and thy people? Is it not in thy going with us, so that we are distinct, I and thy people, from all other people that are upon the face of the earth?"
33:17 耶和��摩西�：「你�所求的我也要行；因�你在我眼前蒙了恩，�且我按你的名��你。」
And the LORD said to Moses, "This very thing that you have spoken I will do; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name."
33:18 摩西�：「求你�出你的�耀�我看。」
Moses said, "I pray thee, show me thy glory."
33:19 耶和��：「我要�我一切的恩慈，在你面前��，宣告我的名。我要恩待�就恩待�；要���就���」；
And he said, "I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim before you my name `The LORD'; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
33:20 又�：「你不能看�我的面，因�人�我的面不能存活。」
But," he said, "you cannot see my face; for man shall not see me and live."
33:21 耶和��：「看哪，在我��有地方，你要站在磐石上。
And the LORD said, "Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand upon the rock;
33:22 我的�耀��的�候，我必�你放在磐石穴中，用我的手遮掩你，等我�去，
and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;
33:23 然後我要�我的手收回，你就得�我的背，�不得�我的面。」
then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back; but my face shall not be seen."
