經文: 出埃及記 14:4 我要使法老的心剛硬，他要追趕他們，我便在法老和他全軍身上得榮耀；埃及人就知道我是耶和華。」於是以色列人這樣行了。
默想: 在這段經文中我們發現有一種很可怕可以彰顯上帝榮耀，並且深刻認識上帝的方法。就是如同摩西帶領以色列人出埃及時的法老王，，他不願意聽從並蕣服耶和華藉著他
題目: 14:10-31 以色列人的恐懼是什麼？摩西如何帶領以色列人面對？你有何看法與學習？
14:1 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
Then the LORD said to Moses,
14:2 「你吩咐以色列人轉回，安營在比•哈希錄前，密奪和海的中間，對著巴力•洗分，靠近海邊安營。
"Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-ha-hi'roth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Ba'al-ze'phon; you shall encamp over against it, by the sea.
14:3 法老必說：『以色列人在地中繞迷了，曠野把他們困住了。』
For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, `They are entangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.'
14:4 我要使法老的心剛硬，他要追趕他們，我便在法老和他全軍身上得榮耀；埃及人就知道我是耶和華。」於是以色列人這樣行了。
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD." And they did so.
14:5 有人告訴埃及王說：「百姓逃跑。」法老和他的臣僕就向百姓變心，說：「我們容以色列人去，不再服事我們，這做的是甚麼事呢？」
When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, the mind of Pharaoh and his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, "What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"
14:6 法老就預備他的車輛，帶領軍兵同去，
So he made ready his chariot and took his army with him,
14:7 並帶著六百輛特選的車和埃及所有的車，每輛都有車兵長。
and took six hundred picked chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt with officers over all of them.
14:8 耶和華使埃及王法老的心剛硬，他就追趕以色列人，因為以色列人是昂然無懼地出埃及。
And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt and he pursued the people of Israel as they went forth defiantly.
14:9 埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛、馬兵，與軍兵就在海邊上，靠近比•哈希錄，對著巴力•洗分，在他們安營的地方追上了。
The Egyptians pursued them, all Pharaoh's horses and chariots and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamped at the sea, by Pi-ha-hi'roth, in front of Ba'al-ze'phon.
14:10 法老臨近的時候，以色列人舉目看見埃及人趕來，就甚懼怕，向耶和華哀求。
When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were in great fear. And the people of Israel cried out to the LORD;
14:11 他們對摩西說：「難道在埃及沒有墳地，你把我們帶來死在曠野麼？你為甚麼這樣待我們，將我們從埃及領出來呢？
and they said to Moses, "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us, in bringing us out of Egypt?
14:12 我們在埃及豈沒有對你說過，不要攪擾我們，容我們服事埃及人嗎？因為服事埃及人比死在曠野還好。」
Is not this what we said to you in Egypt, `Let us alone and let us serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."
14:13 摩西對百姓說：「不要懼怕，只管站住！看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的救恩。因為，你們今天所看見的埃及人必永遠不再看見了。
And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.
14:14 耶和華必為你們爭戰；你們只管靜默，不要作聲。」
The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be still."
14:15 耶和華對摩西說：「你為甚麼向我哀求呢？你吩咐以色列人往前走。
The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.
14:16 你舉手向海伸杖，把水分開。以色列人要下海中走乾地。
Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go on dry ground through the sea.
14:17 我要使埃及人的心剛硬，他們就跟著下去。我要在法老和他的全軍、車輛、馬兵上得榮耀。
And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.
14:18 我在法老和他的車輛、馬兵上得榮耀的時候，埃及人就知道我是耶和華了。」
And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen."
14:19 在以色列營前行走 神的使者，轉到他們後邊去；雲柱也從他們前邊轉到他們後邊立住。
Then the angel of God who went before the host of Israel moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them,
14:20 在埃及營和以色列營中間有雲柱，一邊黑暗，一邊發光，終夜兩下不得相近。
coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. And there was the cloud and the darkness; and the night passed without one coming near the other all night.
14:21 摩西向海伸杖，耶和華便用大東風，使海水一夜退去，水便分開，海就成了乾地。
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
14:22 以色列人下海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
14:23 埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛，和馬兵都跟著下到海中。
The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
14:24 到了晨更的時候，耶和華從雲火柱中向埃及的軍兵觀看，使埃及的軍兵混亂了；
And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down upon the host of the Egyptians, and discomfited the host of the Egyptians,
14:25 又使他們的車輪脫落難以行走，以致埃及人說：「我們從以色列人面前逃跑吧！因耶和華為他們攻擊我們了。」
clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily; and the Egyptians said, "Let us flee from before Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians."
14:26 耶和華對摩西說：「你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在埃及人並他們的車輛、馬兵身上。」
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen."
14:27 摩西就向海伸杖，到了天一亮，海水仍舊復原。埃及人避水逃跑的時候，耶和華把他們推翻在海中，
So Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its wonted flow when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled into it, and the LORD routed the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
14:28 水就回流，淹沒了車輛和馬兵。那些跟著以色列人下海法老的全軍，連一個也沒有剩下。
The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea; not so much as one of them remained.
14:29 以色列人卻在海中走乾地；水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
14:30 當日，耶和華這樣拯救以色列人脫離埃及人的手，以色列人看見埃及人的死屍都在海邊了。
Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore.
14:31 以色列人看見耶和華向埃及人所行的大事，就敬畏耶和華，又信服他和他的僕人摩西。
And Israel saw the great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians, and the people feared the LORD; and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.
Then the LORD said to Moses,
14:2 「你吩咐以色列人轉回，安營在比•哈希錄前，密奪和海的中間，對著巴力•洗分，靠近海邊安營。
"Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-ha-hi'roth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Ba'al-ze'phon; you shall encamp over against it, by the sea.
