經文: 馬太福音 25:5 新郎遲延的時候，他們都打盹，睡著了。
默想: 新郎遲延的時候，他們都打盹，睡著了。不論是聰明的，或是愚拙的，都一樣有肉體的軟弱，都打盹睡著了。想起主耶穌在被賣的那一夜，帶領三個最疼愛的學生，進入客西馬尼園迫切禱告。主耶穌這時候最需要有人陪伴他，一起面對將要來臨的嚴酷考驗。但是，這三位學生，雖然心靈願意，肉體卻軟弱，都打盹睡著了。主耶穌提醒他們，要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。如果燈裡的油代表聖靈。那麼，這五位聰明的童女與那五位愚拙的童女之間的差異，不是聰明的童女有超人的體力，沒有肉體的軟弱。而是他們知道自己的軟弱，常常倚靠聖靈的光照與提醒，才能夠讓他們在軟弱的當中，生命還能不斷發出亮光。求主幫助我，願意承認面對自己的軟弱，更願意常常警醒禱告，倚靠聖靈的光照與能力，才能夠靠主而在這個黑暗的世界，發出生命見證的亮光。
題目: 25：24-30中，領一千銀子的僕人與主人的對話，僕人的態度為何？主人的回應是什麼？你有何學習與提醒？
25:1 「那時，天國好比十個童女拿著燈出去迎接新郎。
"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 其中有五個是愚拙的，五個是聰明的。
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
25:3 愚拙的拿著燈，卻不預備油；
For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them;
25:4 聰明的拿著燈，又預備油在器皿裡。
but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
25:5 新郎遲延的時候，她們都打盹，睡著了。
As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 半夜有人喊著說：『新郎來了，你們出來迎接他！』
But at midnight there was a cry, `Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'
25:7 那些童女就都起來收拾燈。
Then all those maidens rose and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 愚拙的對聰明的說：『請分點油給我們，因為我們的燈要滅了。』
And the foolish said to the wise, `Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
25:9 聰明的回答說：『恐怕不夠你我用的；不如你們自己到賣油的那裡去買吧。』
But the wise replied, `Perhaps there will not be enough for us and for you; go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.'
25:10 她們去買的時候，新郎到了。那預備好了的，同他進去坐席，門就關了。
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.
25:11 其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：『主啊，主啊，給我們開門！』
Afterward the other maidens came also, saying, `Lord, lord, open to us.'
25:12 他卻回答說：『我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。』
But he replied, `Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
25:13 所以，你們要儆醒；因為那日子，那時辰，你們不知道。」
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
25:14 「天國又好比一個人要往外國去，就叫了僕人來，把他的家業交給他們，
"For it will be as when a man going on a journey called his servants and entrusted to them his property;
25:15 按著各人的才幹給他們銀子：一個給了五千，一個給了二千，一個給了一千，就往外國去了。
to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.
25:16 那領五千的隨即拿去做買賣，另外賺了五千。
He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more.
25:17 那領二千的也照樣另賺了二千。
So also, he who had the two talents made two talents more.
25:18 但那領一千的去掘開地，把主人的銀子埋藏了。
But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.
25:19 過了許久，那些僕人的主人來了，和他們算帳。
Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
25:20 那領五千銀子的又帶著那另外的五千來，說：『主啊，你交給我五千銀子。請看，我又賺了五千。』
And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, `Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.'
25:21 主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
His master said to him, `Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'
25:22 那領二千的也來，說：『主啊，你交給我二千銀子。請看，我又賺了二千。』
And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, `Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.'
25:23 主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
His master said to him, `Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'
25:24 那領一千的也來，說：『主啊，我知道你是忍心的人，沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, `Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not winnow;
25:25 我就害怕，去把你的一千銀子埋藏在地裡。請看，你的原銀子在這裡。』
so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.'
25:26 主人回答說：『你這又惡又懶的僕人，你既知道我沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
But his master answered him, `You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not winnowed?
25:27 就當把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人，到我來的時候，可以連本帶利收回。
Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.
25:28 奪過他這一千來，給那有一萬的。
So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
25:29 因為凡有的，還要加給他，叫他有餘；沒有的，連他所有的也要奪過來。
For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
25:30 把這無用的僕人丟在外面黑暗裡；在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。』」
And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.'
25:31 「當人子在他榮耀裡、同著眾天使降臨的時候，要坐在他榮耀的寶座上。
"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
25:32 萬民都要聚集在他面前。他要把他們分別出來，好像牧羊的分別綿羊山羊一般，
Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
25:33 把綿羊安置在右邊，山羊在左邊。
and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
25:34 於是王要向那右邊的說：『你們這蒙我父賜福的，可來承受那創世以來為你們所預備的國；
Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
25:35 因為我餓了，你們給我吃，渴了，你們給我喝；我作客旅，你們留我住；
for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
25:36 我赤身露體，你們給我穿；我病了、你們看顧我；我在監裡，你們來看我。』
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
25:37 義人就回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，給你吃，渴了，給你喝？
Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
25:38 甚麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿？
And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
25:39 又甚麼時候見你病了，或是在監裡，來看你呢？』
And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'
25:40 王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』
And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
25:41 王又要向那左邊的說：『你們這被咒詛的人，離開我！進入那為魔鬼和他的使者所預備的永火裡去！
Then he will say to those at his left hand, `Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;
25:42 因為我餓了，你們不給我吃，渴了，你們不給我喝；
for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
25:43 我作客旅，你們不留我住；我赤身露體，你們不給我穿；我病了，我在監裡，你們不來看顧我。』
I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
25:44 他們也要回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或作客旅，或赤身露體，或病了，或在監裡，不伺候你呢？』
Then they also will answer, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?'
25:45 王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既不做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是不做在我身上了。』
Then he will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.'
25:46 這些人要往永刑裡去；那些義人要往永生裡去。」
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

25:32 萬民都要聚集在他面前。他要把他們分別出來，好像牧羊的分別綿羊山羊一般，
Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
25:33 把綿羊安置在右邊，山羊在左邊。
and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
25:34 於是王要向那右邊的說：『你們這蒙我父賜福的，可來承受那創世以來為你們所預備的國；
Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
25:35 因為我餓了，你們給我吃，渴了，你們給我喝；我作客旅，你們留我住；
for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
25:36 我赤身露體，你們給我穿；我病了、你們看顧我；我在監裡，你們來看我。』
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
25:37 義人就回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，給你吃，渴了，給你喝？
Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
25:38 甚麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿？
And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
25:39 又甚麼時候見你病了，或是在監裡，來看你呢？』
And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'
25:40 王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』
And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
25:41 王又要向那左邊的說：『你們這被咒詛的人，離開我！進入那為魔鬼和他的使者所預備的永火裡去！
Then he will say to those at his left hand, `Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;
25:42 因為我餓了，你們不給我吃，渴了，你們不給我喝；
for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
25:43 我作客旅，你們不留我住；我赤身露體，你們不給我穿；我病了，我在監裡，你們不來看顧我。』
I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
25:44 他們也要回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或作客旅，或赤身露體，或病了，或在監裡，不伺候你呢？』
Then they also will answer, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?'
25:45 王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既不做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是不做在我身上了。』
Then he will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.'
25:46 這些人要往永刑裡去；那些義人要往永生裡去。」
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 其中有五個是愚拙的，五個是聰明的。
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
25:3 愚拙的拿著燈，卻不預備油；
For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them;
25:4 聰明的拿著燈，又預備油在器皿裡。
but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
25:5 新郎遲延的時候，她們都打盹，睡著了。
As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 半夜有人喊著說：『新郎來了，你們出來迎接他！』
But at midnight there was a cry, `Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'
25:7 那些童女就都起來收拾燈。
Then all those maidens rose and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 愚拙的對聰明的說：『請分點油給我們，因為我們的燈要滅了。』
And the foolish said to the wise, `Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
25:9 聰明的回答說：『恐怕不夠你我用的；不如你們自己到賣油的那裡去買吧。』
But the wise replied, `Perhaps there will not be enough for us and for you; go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.'
25:10 她們去買的時候，新郎到了。那預備好了的，同他進去坐席，門就關了。
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.
25:11 其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：『主啊，主啊，給我們開門！』
Afterward the other maidens came also, saying, `Lord, lord, open to us.'
25:12 他卻回答說：『我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。』
But he replied, `Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
25:13 所以，你們要儆醒；因為那日子，那時辰，你們不知道。」
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
25:14 「天國又好比一個人要往外國去，就叫了僕人來，把他的家業交給他們，
"For it will be as when a man going on a journey called his servants and entrusted to them his property;
25:15 按著各人的才幹給他們銀子：一個給了五千，一個給了二千，一個給了一千，就往外國去了。
to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.
25:16 那領五千的隨即拿去做買賣，另外賺了五千。
He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more.
25:17 那領二千的也照樣另賺了二千。
So also, he who had the two talents made two talents more.
25:18 但那領一千的去掘開地，把主人的銀子埋藏了。
But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.
25:19 過了許久，那些僕人的主人來了，和他們算帳。
Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
25:20 那領五千銀子的又帶著那另外的五千來，說：『主啊，你交給我五千銀子。請看，我又賺了五千。』
And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, `Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.'
25:21 主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
His master said to him, `Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'
25:22 那領二千的也來，說：『主啊，你交給我二千銀子。請看，我又賺了二千。』
And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, `Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.'
25:23 主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
His master said to him, `Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'
25:24 那領一千的也來，說：『主啊，我知道你是忍心的人，沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, `Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not winnow;
25:25 我就害怕，去把你的一千銀子埋藏在地裡。請看，你的原銀子在這裡。』
so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.'
25:26 主人回答說：『你這又惡又懶的僕人，你既知道我沒有種的地方要收割，沒有散的地方要聚斂，
But his master answered him, `You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not winnowed?
25:27 就當把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人，到我來的時候，可以連本帶利收回。
Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.
25:28 奪過他這一千來，給那有一萬的。
So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
25:29 因為凡有的，還要加給他，叫他有餘；沒有的，連他所有的也要奪過來。
For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
25:30 把這無用的僕人丟在外面黑暗裡；在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。』」
And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.'
25:31 「當人子在他榮耀裡、同著眾天使降臨的時候，要坐在他榮耀的寶座上。
"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
