經文: 列王記下 5:26-27 以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉回迎你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是受銀子、衣裳、買橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？因此，乃縵的大痲瘋必沾染你和你的後裔，直到永遠。」基哈西從以利沙面前退出去，就長了大痲瘋，像雪那樣白。
默想: 以利沙為亞蘭國元帥乃縵將軍醫治他身上的大痲瘋，乃縵將軍因為這個奇妙的得醫治經歷，而決定要皈依信靠以色列的耶和華。同時要將豐厚禮物饋贈給先知以利沙。以利沙堅持婉拒不接受乃縵將軍的禮物。乃縵將軍只好向以利沙討了兩袋以色列的沙土，要帶回去亞蘭國作為紀念。當乃縵將軍車隊要打道回府時，想不到以利沙的僕人基哈西卻起了貪戀的心，跑去用謊言向乃縵將軍討了兩他連得銀子與兩套衣服。當基哈西把東西妥當藏在家裡之後，就若無其事的到以利沙面前。以利沙當面指責基哈西的罪惡，並且告訴基哈西，乃縵將軍身上的大痲瘋將會長到基哈西的身上，並會禍延子孫。求主幫助我，在侍奉耶和華時，不要心存貪戀，以免遭致上帝的審判。
題目: 異國將軍乃縵雖有怠慢不信，卻還是順服，而得醫治，且真心敬畏耶和華。隨侍在先知身旁的基哈西，卻因貪念，藐視耶和華而被咒詛，試問，他們境遇，你有何感想？
5:1 亞蘭王的元帥乃縵在他主人面前為尊為大，因耶和華曾藉他使亞蘭人得勝；他又是大能的勇士，只是長了大痲瘋。
Na'aman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
5:2 先前亞蘭人成群地出去，從以色列國擄了一個小女子，這女子就服事乃縵的妻。
Now the Syrians on one of their raids had carried off a little maid from the land of Israel, and she waited on Na'aman's wife.
5:3 她對主母說：「巴不得我主人去見撒馬利亞的先知，必能治好他的大痲瘋。」
She said to her mistress, "Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Sama'ria! He would cure him of his leprosy."
5:4 乃縵進去，告訴他主人說，以色列國的女子如此如此說。
So Na'aman went in and told his lord, "Thus and so spoke the maiden from the land of Israel."
5:5 亞蘭王說：「你可以去，我也達信於以色列王。」於是乃縵帶銀子十他連得，金子六千舍客勒，衣裳十套，就去了；
And the king of Syria said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." So he went, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten festal garments.
5:6 且帶信給以色列王，信上說：「我打發臣僕乃縵去見你，你接到這信，就要治好他的大痲瘋。」
And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, which read, "When this letter reaches you, know that I have sent to you Na'aman my servant, that you may cure him of his leprosy."
5:7 以色列王看了信就撕裂衣服，說：「我豈是 神，能使人死使人活呢？這人竟打發人來，叫我治好他的大痲瘋。你們看一看，這人何以尋隙攻擊我呢？」
And when the king of Israel read the letter, he rent his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me."
5:8 神人以利沙聽見以色列王撕裂衣服，就打發人去見王，說：「你為甚麼撕了衣服呢？可使那人到我這裡來，他就知道以色列中有先知了。」
But when Eli'sha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you rent your clothes? Let him come now to me, that he may know that there is a prophet in Israel."
5:9 於是，乃縵帶著車馬到了以利沙的家，站在門前。
So Na'aman came with his horses and chariots, and halted at the door of Eli'sha's house.
5:10 以利沙打發一個使者，對乃縵說：「你去在約旦河中沐浴七回，你的肉就必復原，而得潔淨。」
And Eli'sha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean."
5:11 乃縵卻發怒走了，說：「我想他必定出來見我，站著求告耶和華─他 神的名，在患處以上搖手，治好這大痲瘋。
But Na'aman was angry, and went away, saying, "Behold, I thought that he would surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and cure the leper.
5:12 大馬士革的河亞罷拿和法珥法豈不比以色列的一切水更好嗎？我在那裡沐浴不得潔淨嗎？」於是氣忿忿地轉身去了。
Are not Aba'na and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them, and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage.
5:13 他的僕人進前來，對他說：「我父啊，先知若吩咐你做一件大事，你豈不做嗎？何況說你去沐浴而得潔淨呢？」
But his servants came near and said to him, "My father, if the prophet had commanded you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather, then, when he says to you, `Wash, and be clean'?"
5:14 於是乃縵下去，照著神人的話，在約旦河裡沐浴七回；他的肉復原，好像小孩子的肉，他就潔淨了。
So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
5:15 乃縵帶著一切跟隨他的人，回到神人那裡，站在他面前，說：「如今我知道，除了以色列之外，普天下沒有 神。現在求你收點僕人的禮物。」
Then he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and he came and stood before him; and he said, "Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; so accept now a present from your servant."
5:16 以利沙說：「我指著所事奉永生的耶和華起誓，我必不受。」乃縵再三地求他，他卻不受。
But he said, "As the LORD lives, whom I serve, I will receive none." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.
5:17 乃縵說：「你若不肯受，請將兩騾子馱的土賜給僕人。從今以後，僕人必不再將燔祭或平安祭獻與別神，只獻給耶和華。
Then Na'aman said, "If not, I pray you, let there be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth; for henceforth your servant will not offer burnt offering or sacrifice to any god but the LORD.
5:18 惟有一件事，願耶和華饒恕你僕人：我主人進臨門廟叩拜的時候，我用手攙他在臨門廟，我也屈身。我在臨門廟屈身的這事，願耶和華饒恕我。」
In this matter may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, leaning on my arm, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this matter."
5:19 以利沙對他說：「你可以平平安安地回去！」乃縵就離開他去了；走了不遠，
He said to him, "Go in peace." But when Na'aman had gone from him a short distance,
5:20 神人以利沙的僕人基哈西心裡說：「我主人不願從這亞蘭人乃縵手裡受他帶來的禮物，我指著永生的耶和華起誓，我必跑去追上他，向他要些。」
Geha'zi, the servant of Eli'sha the man of God, said, "See, my master has spared this Na'aman the Syrian, in not accepting from his hand what he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him, and get something from him."
5:21 於是基哈西追趕乃縵。乃縵看見有人追趕，就急忙下車迎著他，說：「都平安嗎？」
So Geha'zi followed Na'aman. And when Na'aman saw some one running after him, he alighted from the chariot to meet him, and said, "Is all well?"
5:22 說：「都平安。我主人打發我來說：『剛才有兩個少年人，是先知門徒，從以法蓮山地來見我，請你賜他們一他連得銀子，兩套衣裳。』」
And he said, "All is well. My master has sent me to say, `There have just now come to me from the hill country of E'phraim two young men of the sons of the prophets; pray, give them a talent of silver and two festal garments.'"
5:23 乃縵說：「請受二他連得」；再三地請受，便將二他連得銀子裝在兩個口袋裡，又將兩套衣裳交給兩個僕人；他們就在基哈西前頭抬著走。
And Na'aman said, "Be pleased to accept two talents." And he urged him, and tied up two talents of silver in two bags, with two festal garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they carried them before Geha'zi.
5:24 到了山岡，基哈西從他們手中接過來，放在屋裡，打發他們回去。
And when he came to the hill, he took them from their hand, and put them in the house; and he sent the men away, and they departed.
5:25 基哈西進去，站在他主人面前。以利沙問他說：「基哈西你從哪裡來？」回答說：「僕人沒有往哪裡去。」
He went in, and stood before his master, and Eli'sha said to him, "Where have you been, Geha'zi?" And he said, "Your servant went nowhere."
5:26 以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉回迎你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是受銀子、衣裳、買橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？
But he said to him, "Did I not go with you in spirit when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, menservants and maidservants?
5:27 因此，乃縵的大痲瘋必沾染你和你的後裔，直到永遠。」基哈西從以利沙面前退出去，就長了大痲瘋，像雪那樣白。
Therefore the leprosy of Na'aman shall cleave to you, and to your descendants for ever." So he went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.
