Four Lepers

經文: 列王記下 7:8-9 那些長大痲瘋的到了營邊，進了帳棚，吃了喝了，且從其中拿出金銀和衣服來，去收藏了；回來又進了一座帳棚，從其中拿出財物來去收藏了。那時，他們彼此說：「我們所做的不好！今日是有好信息的日子，我們竟不作聲！若等到天亮，罪必臨到我們。來吧，我們與王家報信去！」
默想: 這四個因為罹患大痲瘋，被隔離在撒瑪利亞城外 (利13:46) 的病人，本來情況就很悲慘，要靠乞討施捨來渡日。當撒瑪利亞城被亞蘭大軍長期圍困，整個城市都大饑荒，甚至產生易子而食的慘事。這四個長大痲瘋的病人，被夾在鬧饑荒的撒瑪利亞城以及長期圍困撒瑪利亞城的亞蘭軍營的中間，快要餓死了。因此，他們想，冒險進入鬧饑荒的撒瑪利亞城，也是乞討不到任何食物，只有餓死城內的結果，如果冒險走到亞蘭軍營，投降敵軍，有可能就被敵軍當場擊殺而死，或許也有可能受到敵軍的憐憫，得到施捨一點食物而存留活命。就算被亞蘭軍擊殺死亡，可能也比蹲在這裡，慢慢餓死還要死得痛快一些。他們就決定冒顯走到亞蘭軍營去看看。他們作夢也沒有想到，整個亞蘭軍營是空蕩蕩的。軍營中的爐火還在燃燒，鍋子裡的食物還是熱騰騰的冒煙。他們真是喜出望外，立刻大快朵頤，先填飽饑腸轆轆的肚皮再說。然後，他們就把軍營中所能看到的金銀財寶洗劫一空。突然之間，他們良心發現，這麼多食物自己是吃不完的，但是撒瑪利亞城內的百姓卻被長期圍困而發生大饑荒，大家都餓得奄奄一息。他們怎能不把這麼好的消息趕快去報告撒瑪利亞約蘭王知道呢。主啊！求你打開我的眼界與心胸，不要因為自己先得到福音，就自滿自足的享受福音這白白的恩典，卻忘了有許多人，因為不認識救主耶穌基督的慈愛恩典，而陷在自己的罪孽中受苦。求主喚醒我的良心，讓我願意去與大家分享這福音的恩典。
題目: 以利沙對不信的侍從說：「你一定會親眼看見這事發生，但是你甚麼也吃不到。」(v20)預言果然應驗。人的不信，是在挑戰神話語的真偽。你曾質疑神話語的真偽嗎？
7:1 以利沙說：「你們要聽耶和華的話，耶和華如此說：明日約到這時候，在撒馬利亞城門口，一細亞細麵要賣銀一舍客勒，二細亞大麥也要賣銀一舍客勒。」
But Eli'sha said, "Hear the word of the LORD: thus says the LORD, Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine meal shall be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Sama'ria."
7:2 有一個攙扶王的軍長對神人說：「即便耶和華使天開了窗戶，也不能有這事。」以利沙說：「你必親眼看見，卻不得吃。」
Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, "If the LORD himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" But he said, "You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it."
7:3 在城門那裡有四個長大痲瘋的人，他們彼此說：「我們為何坐在這裡等死呢？
Now there were four men who were lepers at the entrance to the gate; and they said to one another, "Why do we sit here till we die?
7:4 我們若說，進城去吧！城裡有饑荒，必死在那裡；若在這裡坐著不動，也必是死。來吧，我們去投降亞蘭人的軍隊，他們若留我們的活命，就活著；若殺我們，就死了吧！」
If we say, `Let us enter the city,' the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the camp of the Syrians; if they spare our lives we shall live, and if they kill us we shall but die."
7:5 黃昏的時候，他們起來往亞蘭人的營盤去；到了營邊，不見一人在那裡。
So they arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; but when they came to the edge of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no one there.
7:6 因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見車馬的聲音，是大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：「這必是以色列王賄買赫人的諸王和埃及人的諸王來攻擊我們。」
For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians hear the sound of chariots, and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, "Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to come upon us."
7:7 所以，在黃昏的時候他們起來逃跑，撇下帳棚、馬、驢，營盤照舊，只顧逃命。
So they fled away in the twilight and forsook their tents, their horses, and their asses, leaving the camp as it was, and fled for their lives.
7:8 那些長大痲瘋的到了營邊，進了帳棚，吃了喝了，且從其中拿出金銀和衣服來，去收藏了；回來又進了一座帳棚，從其中拿出財物來去收藏了。
And when these lepers came to the edge of the camp, they went into a tent, and ate and drank, and they carried off silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back, and entered another tent, and carried off things from it, and went and hid them.
7:9 那時，他們彼此說：「我們所做的不好！今日是有好信息的日子，我們竟不作聲！若等到天亮，罪必臨到我們。來吧，我們與王家報信去！」
Then they said to one another, "We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news; if we are silent and wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us; now therefore come, let us go and tell the king's household."
7:10 他們就去叫守城門的，告訴他們說：「我們到了亞蘭人的營，不見一人在那裡，也無人聲，只有拴著的馬和驢，帳棚都照舊。」
So they came and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, "We came to the camp of the Syrians, and behold, there was no one to be seen or heard there, nothing but the horses tied, and the asses tied, and the tents as they were."
7:11 守城門的叫了眾守門的人來，他們就進去與王家報信。
Then the gatekeepers called out, and it was told within the king's household.
7:12 王夜間起來，對臣僕說：「我告訴你們亞蘭人向我們如何行。他們知道我們飢餓，所以離營，埋伏在田野，說：『以色列人出城的時候，我們就活捉他們，得以進城。』」
And the king rose in the night, and said to his servants, "I will tell you what the Syrians have prepared against us. They know that we are hungry; therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the open country, thinking, `When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive and get into the city.'"
7:13 有一個臣僕對王說：「我們不如用城裡剩下之馬中的五匹馬（馬和城裡剩下的以色列人都是一樣，快要滅絕），打發人去窺探。」
And one of his servants said, "Let some men take five of the remaining horses, seeing that those who are left here will fare like the whole multitude of Israel that have already perished; let us send and see."
7:14 於是取了兩輛車和馬，王差人去追尋亞蘭軍，說：「你們去窺探窺探。」
So they took two mounted men, and the king sent them after the army of the Syrians, saying, "Go and see."
7:15 他們就追尋到約旦河，看見滿道上都是亞蘭人急跑時丟棄的衣服器具，使者就回來報告王。
So they went after them as far as the Jordan; and, lo, all the way was littered with garments and equipment which the Syrians had thrown away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
7:16 眾人就出去，擄掠亞蘭人的營盤。於是一細亞細麵賣銀一舍客勒，二細亞大麥也賣銀一舍客勒，正如耶和華所說的。
Then the people went out, and plundered the camp of the Syrians. So a measure of fine meal was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.
7:17 王派攙扶他的那軍長在城門口彈壓，眾人在那裡將他踐踏，他就死了，正如神人在王下來見他的時候所說的。
Now the king had appointed the captain on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate; and the people trod upon him in the gate, so that he died, as the man of God had said when the king came down to him.
7:18 神人曾對王說：「明日約到這時候，在撒馬利亞城門口，二細亞大麥要賣銀一舍客勒，一細亞細麵也要賣銀一舍客勒。」
For when the man of God had said to the king, "Two measures of barley shall be sold for a shekel, and a measure of fine meal for a shekel, about this time tomorrow in the gate of Sama'ria,"
7:19 那軍長對神人說：「即便耶和華使天開了窗戶，也不能有這事。」神人說：「你必親眼看見，卻不得吃。」
the captain had answered the man of God, "If the LORD himself should make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?" And he had said, "You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it."
7:20 這話果然應驗在他身上；因為眾人在城門口將他踐踏，他就死了。
And so it happened to him, for the people trod upon him in the gate and he died.
