Uzzah Was Killed When Touching The Ark

經文: 撒母耳記下 6:9-12 那日，大衛懼怕耶和華，說：「耶和華的約櫃怎可運到我這裡來？」於是大衛不肯將耶和華的約櫃運進大衛的城，卻運到迦特人俄別以東的家中。耶和華的約櫃在迦特人俄別以東家中三個月；耶和華賜福給俄別以東和他的全家。有人告訴大衛王說：「耶和華因為約櫃賜福給俄別以東的家和一切屬他的。」大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將神的約櫃從俄別以東家中抬到大衛的城裡。
默想: 這是一段非常有興趣的經文。大衛王是一個凡事都會求問耶和華的人。每一場戰爭，他都先求問耶和華，也都得到耶和華的指示與祝福，得到完全的勝利。但是在遷移約櫃這件事情，我們沒有看到大衛先求問耶和華，或是先去唸摩西所留下來的摩西五經，耶和華當年很清楚指示摩西，只有祭司們可以觸摸約櫃，在須要移動約櫃時，祭司們要先摘下遮掩約櫃的幔子，蓋在約櫃上面，然後再加上海狗皮與純藍色毯子，包好之後，再穿上槓。然後由利未人哥轄族來負責把槓放在肩膀上面，抬著約櫃前行。(民4:5-6, 15) 由於當年非利士人用牛車把約櫃送回來給以色列人 (參閱撒上6:7-12)，大衛王竟然學習非利士人的方法，也用牛車來搬運約櫃，大衛王也忘了警告隨行人員，不論如何，絕對嚴禁去觸摸約櫃。結果是牛失前蹄，烏撒在無知情況之下，好心好意的伸手扶住神的約櫃。烏撒不只是沒有得到耶和華的讚賞，而是惹動耶和華的忿怒，並且在現場立刻遭到耶和華擊殺。大衛遭遇此意外，也沒有到耶和華面前求問為何如此，卻決定把這個動輒得咎的高危險性約櫃搬到迦特人俄別以東家裡。大衛王這種把危險丟給別人去承擔的做法實在不值得我們學習。大衛王沒有想到，俄別以東全家卻因為收留約櫃，而得到耶和華特別的祝福。大衛一聽到這個消息，立刻派人去把約櫃抬進大衛城裡。這次大衛可能有做了一些檢討與功課，發現約櫃是不能用牛車拖著走的，是要請利未人來抬約櫃。求主幫助我，知到耶和華是聖潔的，在耶和華面前服侍，必須謹言慎行，小心遵照耶和華的命令來服侍。才不會遭到耶和華的審判。上帝的祝福與審判常是一起降臨，求主幫助我，能夠以敬畏與敬愛的心來服侍上帝。
題目: 烏撒所為在世人眼中看似「好的」，卻顯現他並不明白應當如何對待被膏成聖的約櫃。約櫃不只是一個箱子，它是上帝與我們相遇之處(參出25:22)，因此是聖潔不可輕慢。試問，我們是否也在一些事上，如烏撒一般，輕慢神所膏成的人、事、物？
6:1 大衛又聚集以色列中所有挑選的人三萬。
David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
6:2 大衛起身，率領跟隨他的眾人前往，要從巴拉•猶大將 神的約櫃運來；這約櫃就是坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華留名的約櫃。
And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Ba'ale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the LORD of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim.
6:3 他們將 神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達的家裡抬出來，放在新車上；亞比拿達的兩個兒子烏撒和亞希約趕這新車。
And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abin'adab which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahi'o, the sons of Abin'adab, were driving the new cart
6:4 他們將 神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達家裡抬出來的時候，亞希約在櫃前行走。
with the ark of God; and Ahi'o went before the ark.
6:5 大衛和以色列的全家在耶和華面前，用松木製造的各樣樂器和琴、瑟、鼓、鈸、鑼，作樂跳舞。
And David and all the house of Israel were making merry before the LORD with all their might, with songs and lyres and harps and tambourines and castanets and cymbals.
6:6 到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄（或譯：驚跳），烏撒就伸手扶住 神的約櫃。
And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
6:7 神耶和華向烏撒發怒，因這錯誤擊殺他，他就死在 神的約櫃旁。
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there because he put forth his hand to the ark; and he died there beside the ark of God.
6:8 大衛因耶和華擊殺（原文是闖殺）烏撒，心裡愁煩，就稱那地方為毗列斯•烏撒，直到今日。
And David was angry because the LORD had broken forth upon Uzzah; and that place is called Pe'rez-uz'zah, to this day.
6:9 那日，大衛懼怕耶和華，說：「耶和華的約櫃怎可運到我這裡來？」
And David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, "How can the ark of the LORD come to me?"
6:10 於是大衛不肯將耶和華的約櫃運進大衛的城，卻運到迦特人俄別•以東的家中。
So David was not willing to take the ark of the LORD into the city of David; but David took it aside to the house of O'bed-e'dom the Gittite.
6:11 耶和華的約櫃在迦特人俄別•以東家中三個月；耶和華賜福給俄別•以東和他的全家。
And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of O'bed-e'dom the Gittite three months; and the LORD blessed O'bed-e'dom and all his household.
6:12 有人告訴大衛王說：「耶和華因為約櫃賜福給俄別•以東的家和一切屬他的。」大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將 神的約櫃從俄別•以東家中抬到大衛的城裡。
And it was told King David, "The LORD has blessed the household of O'bed-e'dom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God." So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of O'bed-e'dom to the city of David with rejoicing;
6:13 抬耶和華約櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻牛與肥羊為祭。
and when those who bore the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.
6:14 大衛穿著細麻布的以弗得，在耶和華面前極力跳舞。
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
6:15 這樣，大衛和以色列的全家歡呼吹角，將耶和華的約櫃抬上來。
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the horn.
6:16 耶和華的約櫃進了大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裡觀看，見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裡就輕視他。
As the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window, and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
6:17 眾人將耶和華的約櫃請進去，安放在所預備的地方，就是在大衛所搭的帳幕裡。大衛在耶和華面前獻燔祭和平安祭。
And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, inside the tent which David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
6:18 大衛獻完了燔祭和平安祭，就奉萬軍之耶和華的名給民祝福，
And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts,
6:19 並且分給以色列眾人，無論男女，每人一個餅，一塊肉，一個葡萄餅；眾人就各回各家去了。
and distributed among all the people, the whole multitude of Israel, both men and women, to each a cake of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins. Then all the people departed, each to his house.
6:20 大衛回家要給眷屬祝福；掃羅的女兒米甲出來迎接他，說：「以色列王今日在臣僕的婢女眼前露體，如同一個輕賤人無恥露體一樣，有好大的榮耀啊！」
And David returned to bless his household. But Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, "How the king of Israel honored himself today, uncovering himself today before the eyes of his servants' maids, as one of the vulgar fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!"
6:21 大衛對米甲說：「這是在耶和華面前；耶和華已揀選我，廢了你父和你父的全家，立我作耶和華民以色列的君，所以我必在耶和華面前跳舞。
And David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the LORD -- and I will make merry before the LORD.
6:22 我也必更加卑微，自己看為輕賤。你所說的那些婢女，她們倒要尊敬我。」
I will make myself yet more contemptible than this, and I will be abased in your eyes; but by the maids of whom you have spoken, by them I shall be held in honor."
6:23 掃羅的女兒米甲，直到死日，沒有生養兒女。
And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

「我是把你們從埃及地領出來的耶和華，要作你們的神；所以你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。」(利未記 11:45)
回覆刪除1. 約書亞對百姓說：「你們不能事奉耶和華；因為他是聖潔的神，是忌邪的神，必不赦免你們的過犯罪惡。(約書亞記 24:19)
2. 耶和華因伯示麥人擅觀他的約櫃，就擊殺了他們七十人；那時有五萬人在那裡（原文作七十人加五萬人）。百姓因耶和華大大擊殺他們，就哀哭了。伯示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裡送到誰那裡去呢？」(撒母耳記上 6:19-20)
出埃及記19:10-15節很清楚地告訴我們：耶和華吩咐以色列人在領受律法前， 必須做分別為聖，作聖潔的準備。 上帝要他們：（1）洗衣服並且自潔；（2）不可上山，也不可觸摸山的邊界；（3）暫時不可與異性有性關係。上帝的這些規定是要以色列人明白來到上帝面前需要聖潔，不可輕慢；更重要的，是強調神的聖潔和威嚴（利11:45），同時也提醒他們對上帝要有專一的心志。
當以色列人看見耶和華因伯示麥人擅觀他的約櫃，就擊殺了他們七十人；那時有五萬人在那裡；當牛失前蹄，烏撒在無知情況之下，好心好意的伸手扶住神的約櫃， 結果惹動耶和華的忿怒，並且烏撒在現場立刻遭到耶和華擊殺。 可見上帝是聖潔的，和威嚴的，不可輕慢的。我們必須過聖潔的生活， 才能夠坦然無懼地，來到上帝面前，敬拜和事奉祂，絕不可輕慢，不可隨意，更不可與世上的人一樣，貪愛世上的情欲，肉體的情欲，和今生的驕傲。作傳道人的，在教會裡碰到犯罪的事，就必須教導會友，認罪悔改，罪的處理，一定要對付，不可隨便。要弟兄姐妹過聖潔的生活，嚴格遵守聖經的教導（原則），整個教會才會聖潔，才能每天來敬拜，讚美神！否則，我們這個「人」不若對了，不自潔，怎能服事神呢？求主光照我們，隨時警惕，要自潔，要脫離卑賤的事，就必作貴重的器皿，成為聖潔，合乎主用，預備行各樣的善事（提摩太後書 2:21）。
