經文: 約書亞記 6:18-19 至於你們，務要謹慎，不可取那當滅的物，恐怕你們取了那當滅的物就連累以色列的全營，使全營受咒詛。惟有金子、銀子，和銅鐵的器皿都要歸耶和華為聖，必入耶和華的庫中。」
默想: 耶書亞在此吩咐以色列人，絕對不可以取那當滅之物，除了金屬類物品可以歸入耶和華府庫之中，成為聖潔之外，其他一切都要殺滅焚光。在此甚至有很嚴格的連坐法，只要有一個人取了當滅之物，則全體以色列人會被連累、受咒詛。我想舊約所謂的當滅之物，是預表與象徵新約中的罪惡。保羅在哥林多前書5章6-8節，討論到酵會讓整團麵都發起來。保羅說：你們這自誇是不好的。豈不知一點麵酵能使全團發起來嗎？你們既是無酵的麵，應當把舊酵除淨，好使你們成為新團；因為我們逾越節的羔羊基督已經被殺獻祭了。所以，我們守這節不可用舊酵，也不可用惡毒（或作：陰毒）、邪惡的酵，只用誠實真正的無酵餅。求主幫助我，能夠靠主的恩典，將我心中一切罪惡完全清除乾淨。
題目: 15節，進迦南的第一役，上主僅要以色列民對戒備森嚴城門緊閉的耶利歌城繞城唱詩？試想，在信仰道路上，上主若用出其不意的方式帶領你，你會願意順服嗎？
6:1 耶利哥的城門因以色列人就關得嚴緊，無人出入。
Now Jericho was shut up from within and from without because of the people of Israel; none went out, and none came in.
6:2 耶和華曉諭約書亞說：「看哪，我已經把耶利哥和耶利哥的王，並大能的勇士，都交在你手中。
And the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have given into your hand Jericho, with its king and mighty men of valor.
6:3 你們的一切兵丁要圍繞這城，一日圍繞一次，六日都要這樣行。
You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. Thus shall you do for six days.
6:4 七個祭司要拿七個羊角走在約櫃前。到第七日，你們要繞城七次，祭司也要吹角。
And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark; and on the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, the priests blowing the trumpets.
6:5 他們吹的角聲拖長，你們聽見角聲，眾百姓要大聲呼喊，城牆就必塌陷，各人都要往前直上。」
And when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, as soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city will fall down flat, and the people shall go up every man straight before him."
6:6 嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，吩咐他們說：「你們抬起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華的約櫃前」；
So Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, "Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD."
6:7 又對百姓說：「你們前去繞城，帶兵器的要走在耶和華的約櫃前。」
And he said to the people, "Go forward; march around the city, and let the armed men pass on before the ark of the LORD."
6:8 約書亞對百姓說完了話，七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華面前吹角；耶和華的約櫃在他們後面跟隨。
And as Joshua had commanded the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the LORD went forward, blowing the trumpets, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD following them.
6:9 帶兵器的走在吹角的祭司前面，後隊隨著約櫃行。祭司一面走一面吹。
And the armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the trumpets blew continually.
6:10 約書亞吩咐百姓說：「你們不可呼喊，不可出聲，連一句話也不可出你們的口，等到我吩咐你們呼喊的日子，那時才可以呼喊。」
But Joshua commanded the people, "You shall not shout or let your voice be heard, neither shall any word go out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then you shall shout."
6:11 這樣，他使耶和華的約櫃繞城，把城繞了一次；眾人回到營裡，就在營裡住宿。
So he caused the ark of the LORD to compass the city, going about it once; and they came into the camp, and spent the night in the camp.
6:12 約書亞清早起來，祭司又抬起耶和華的約櫃。
Then Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
6:13 七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前，時常行走吹角；帶兵器的在他們前面走，後隊隨著耶和華的約櫃行。祭司一面走一面吹。
And the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD passed on, blowing the trumpets continually; and the armed men went before them, and the rear guard came after the ark of the LORD, while the trumpets blew continually.
6:14 第二日，眾人把城繞了一次，就回營裡去。六日都是這樣行。
And the second day they marched around the city once, and returned into the camp. So they did for six days.
6:15 第七日清早，黎明的時候，他們起來，照樣繞城七次；惟獨這日把城繞了七次。
On the seventh day they rose early at the dawn of day, and marched around the city in the same manner seven times: it was only on that day that they marched around the city seven times.
6:16 到了第七次，祭司吹角的時候，約書亞吩咐百姓說：「呼喊吧，因為耶和華已經把城交給你們了！
And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, "Shout; for the LORD has given you the city.
6:17 這城和其中所有的都要在耶和華面前毀滅；只有妓女喇合與她家中所有的可以存活，因為她隱藏了我們所打發的使者。
And the city and all that is within it shall be devoted to the LORD for destruction; only Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
6:18 至於你們，務要謹慎，不可取那當滅的物，恐怕你們取了那當滅的物就連累以色列的全營，使全營受咒詛。
But you, keep yourselves from the things devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted them you take any of the devoted things and make the camp of Israel a thing for destruction, and bring trouble upon it.
6:19 惟有金子、銀子，和銅鐵的器皿都要歸耶和華為聖，必入耶和華的庫中。」
But all silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are sacred to the LORD; they shall go into the treasury of the LORD."
6:20 於是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。百姓聽見角聲，便大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷，百姓便上去進城，各人往前直上，將城奪取。
So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people raised a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
6:21 又將城中所有的，不拘男女老少，牛羊和驢，都用刀殺盡。
Then they utterly destroyed all in the city, both men and women, young and old, oxen, sheep, and asses, with the edge of the sword.
6:22 約書亞吩咐窺探地的兩個人說：「你們進那妓女的家，照著你們向她所起的誓，將那女人和她所有的都從那裡帶出來。」
And Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, "Go into the harlot's house, and bring out from it the woman, and all who belong to her, as you swore to her."
6:23 當探子的兩個少年人就進去，將喇合與她的父母、弟兄，和她所有的，並她一切的親眷，都帶出來，安置在以色列的營外。
So the young men who had been spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father and mother and brothers and all who belonged to her; and they brought all her kindred, and set them outside the camp of Israel.
6:24 眾人就用火將城和其中所有的焚燒了；惟有金子、銀子，和銅鐵的器皿都放在耶和華殿的庫中。
And they burned the city with fire, and all within it; only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
6:25 約書亞卻把妓女喇合與她父家，並她所有的，都救活了；因為她隱藏了約書亞所打發窺探耶利哥的使者，她就住在以色列中，直到今日。
But Rahab the harlot, and her father's household, and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive; and she dwelt in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
6:26 當時，約書亞叫眾人起誓說：「有興起重修這耶利哥城的人，當在耶和華面前受咒詛。他立根基的時候，必喪長子，安門的時候，必喪幼子。」
Joshua laid an oath upon them at that time, saying, "Cursed before the LORD be the man that rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho. At the cost of his first-born shall he lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest son shall he set up its gates."
6:27 耶和華與約書亞同在，約書亞的聲名傳揚遍地。
So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was in all the land.
Now Jericho was shut up from within and from without because of the people of Israel; none went out, and none came in.

“你們不可呼喊，不可出聲，連一句話也不可出你們的口。”（約書亞記 6:10節）
回覆刪除或許，過約旦河的時候，也許還有人不信，一直走一直罵。 。
但他們仍然過了河。現在繞城卻不一樣，耶和華命令他們不能出聲，一句話都不能出口，不然城牆就不會塌陷了。所以，這是一個憑信心，完全順服的攻城法，是耶和華上帝要以色列民在以後的南征北伐所要學習的。
求主幫助我們，能夠靠主的恩典，將我們生活中的「當滅之物」（חֵרֶם, חֵרֶם [cherem），那些不討神喜悅的東西，從被「分別為聖」的東西中，完全地除去。那些是被「分別為聖」的，屬神的，那些是「當滅之物」，是不討神喜悅的？求主光照，把我們心中一切攔阻我們與神相交的「罪惡」，完全清除乾淨，遵守主命令，彼此相愛，在愛的團契裡，彼此相交，行在光明中，作神寶貴的兒女。上帝要我們「憑信心」，「全然順服」，活出基督的生命來，靠基督作我們的主，來打屬靈的爭戰，在基督裡得真正的安息。
