經文: 創世紀 46:3 神說：「我是神，就是你父親的神。你下埃及去不要害怕，因為我必使你在那裡成為大族。
默想: 有關於以色列人下埃及的故事，在創世記十五章，耶和華與亞伯拉罕起誓立約時，就清楚的告訴亞伯拉罕，他的子孫將來會寄居在異地他鄉四百之久，並且將會被當成奴僕苦待，到了第四代，耶和華才會將以色列人從為奴之地帶領出來，進入上帝所應許的迦南美地。因為，亞摩利人的罪孽還沒有滿盈。耶和華是掌管整個世界上的各個民族的命運。他有極高的智慧與公義，來處置世界各國各族的興衰演變。但是，當雅各接到約瑟的邀請，要南下埃及時，耶和華卻只有向雅各重申當年他對亞伯拉罕呼召時的應許，就是亞伯拉罕的後裔將成為大族，約瑟也將為雅各送終。是的，上帝會照著每個人信心的程度，來讓我們知道他的心意與計畫。求上帝讓我能夠學習，降服在你全能的帶領之下，憑著信心一步一步靠主恩典向前行。
題目: 在46：1-5經文中，雅各在出發前往埃及前，他做什麼事？有何重要性？你有看法與學習？
46:1 以色列帶著一切所有的，起身來到別是巴，就獻祭給他父親以撒的 神。
So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
46:2 夜間， 神在異象中對以色列說：「雅各！雅各！」他說：「我在這裡。」
And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night, and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here am I."
46:3 神說：「我是 神，就是你父親的 神。你下埃及去不要害怕，因為我必使你在那裡成為大族。
Then he said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt ; for I will there make of you a great nation.
46:4 我要和你同下埃及去，也必定帶你上來；約瑟必給你送終【原文作將手按在你的眼睛上】。」
I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again; and Joseph's hand shall close your eyes."
46:5 雅各就從別是巴起行。以色列的兒子們使他們的父親雅各和他們的妻子、兒女都坐在法老為雅各送來的車上。
Then Jacob set out from Beer-sheba; and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
46:6 他們又帶著迦南地所得的牲畜、貨財來到埃及。雅各和他的一切子孫都一同來了，
They also took their cattle and their goods, which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his offspring with him,
46:7 雅各把他的兒子、孫子、女兒、孫女，並他的子子孫孫，一同帶到埃及。
his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters; all his offspring he brought with him into Egypt .
46:8 來到埃及的以色列人名字記在下面。雅各和他的兒孫：雅各的長子是流便。
Now these are the names of the descendants of Israel , who came into Egypt , Jacob and his sons. Reuben, Jacob's first-born,
46:9 流便的兒子是哈諾、法路、希斯倫、迦米。
and the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
46:10 西緬的兒子是耶母利、雅憫、阿轄、雅斤、瑣轄，還有迦南女子所生的掃羅。
The sons of Simeon: Jemu'el, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanitish woman.
46:11 利未的兒子是革順、哥轄、米拉利。
The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merar'i.
46:12 猶大的兒子是珥、俄南、示拉、法勒斯、謝拉；惟有珥與俄南死在迦南地。法勒斯的兒子是希斯倫、哈母勒。
The sons of Judah : Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan ); and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
46:13 以薩迦的兒子是陀拉、普瓦、約伯、伸崙。
The sons of Is'sachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron.
46:14 西布倫的兒子是西烈、以倫、雅利。
The sons of Zeb'ulun: Sered, Elon, and Jah'leel
46:15 這是利亞在巴旦‧亞蘭給雅各所生的兒子，還有女兒底拿。兒孫共三十三人。
(these are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, together with his daughter Dinah; altogether his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three).
46:16 迦得的兒子是洗非芸、哈基、書尼、以斯本、以利、亞羅底、亞列利。
The sons of Gad: Ziph'ion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Aro'di, and Are'li.
46:17 亞設的兒子是音拿、亦施瓦、亦施韋、比利亞，還有他們的妹子西拉。比利亞的兒子是希別、瑪結。
The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beri'ah, with Serah their sister. And the sons of Beri'ah: Heber and Mal'chi-el
46:18 這是拉班給他女兒利亞的婢女悉帕從雅各所生的兒孫，共有十六人。
(these are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter; and these she bore to Jacob -- sixteen persons).
46:19 雅各之妻拉結的兒子是約瑟和便雅憫。
The sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
46:20 約瑟在埃及地生了瑪拿西和以法蓮，就是安城的祭司波提非拉的女兒亞西納給約瑟生的。
And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manas'seh and E'phraim, whom As'enath, the daughter of Poti'phera the priest of On, bore to him.
46:21 便雅憫的兒子是比拉、比結、亞實別、基拉、乃幔、以希、羅實、母平、戶平、亞勒。
And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Na'aman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard
46:22 這是拉結給雅各所生的兒孫，共有十四人。
(these are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob -- fourteen persons in all).
46:23 但的兒子是戶伸。
The sons of Dan: Hushim.
46:24 拿弗他利的兒子是雅薛、沽尼、耶色、示冷。
The sons of Naph'tali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem
46:25 這是拉班給他女兒拉結的婢女辟拉從雅各所生的兒孫，共有七人。
(these are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob -- seven persons in all).
46:26 那與雅各同到埃及的，除了他兒婦之外，凡從他所生的，共有六十六人。
All the persons belonging to Jacob who came into Egypt, who were his own offspring, not including Jacob's sons' wives, were sixty-six persons in all;
46:27 還有約瑟在埃及所生的兩個兒子。雅各家來到埃及的共有七十人。
and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two; all the persons of the house of Jacob, that came into Egypt, were seventy.
46:28 雅各打發猶大先去見約瑟，請派人引路往歌珊去；於是他們來到歌珊地。
He sent Judah before him to Joseph, to appear before him in Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
46:29 約瑟套車往歌珊去，迎接他父親以色列，及至見了面，就伏在父親的頸項，哭了許久。
Then Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen; and he presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
46:30 以色列對約瑟說：我既得見你的面，知道你還在，就是死我也甘心。
Israel said to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face and know that you are still alive."
46:31 約瑟對他的弟兄和他父的全家說：「我要上去告訴法老，對他說：『我的弟兄和我父的全家從前在迦南地，現今都到我這裡來了。
Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, "I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, `My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;
46:32 他們本是牧羊的人，以養牲畜為業；他們把羊群牛群和一切所有的都帶來了。』
and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.'
46:33 等法老召你們的時候，問你們說：『你們以何事為業？』
When Pharaoh calls you, and says, `What is your occupation?'
46:34 你們要說：『你的僕人，從幼年直到如今，都以養牲畜為業，連我們的祖宗也都以此為業。』這樣，你們可以住在歌珊地，因為凡牧羊的都被埃及人所厭惡。」
you shall say, `Your servants have been keepers of cattle from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,' in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians."
