經文: 士師記 6:11-15 耶和華的使者到了俄弗拉，坐在亞比以謝族人約阿施的橡樹下。約阿施的兒子基甸正在酒醡那裡打麥子，為要防備米甸人。耶和華的使者向基甸顯現，對他說：大能的勇士啊，耶和華與你同在！基甸說：主啊，耶和華若與我們同在，我們何至遭遇這一切事呢？我們的列祖不是向我們說耶和華領我們從埃及上來嗎？他那樣奇妙的作為在那裡呢？現在他卻丟棄我們，將我們交在米甸人手裡。耶和華觀看基甸，說：你靠著你這能力去從米甸人手裡拯救以色列人，不是我差遣你去的嗎？基甸說：主啊，我有何能拯救以色列人呢？我家在瑪拿西支派中是至貧窮的。我在我父家是至微小的。

默想: 當耶和華的使者找到基甸時，他是躲在酒醡那裡打麥子，為要防備米甸人的偷襲搶奪。當耶和華的使者呼召基甸時，基甸自稱是瑪拿西支派中最貧窮與微小的。但是，耶和華的使者卻稱呼基甸為大能的勇士。雖然基甸對耶和華心中充滿抱怨，耶和華卻仍然將拯救以色列民脫離米甸人壓迫的重責大任交在基甸手中。耶和華的使者對基甸說，耶和華與你同在，你就成為大能的勇士。求主一直與我同在，讓我經歷這莫大的能力，是出於神，並非出於我自己。
題目: 基甸為要確定上主所交待差事，以羊毛上的乾、濕為憑向上主求印證。試想你也曾因要確定是否要去服侍，而祈求上主給你明確的確據嗎？
6:1 以色列人又行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，耶和華就把他們交在米甸人手裡七年。
The people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD gave them into the hand of Mid'ian seven years.
6:2 米甸人壓制以色列人；以色列人因為米甸人，就在山中挖穴、挖洞、建造營寨。
And the hand of Mid'ian prevailed over Israel; and because of Mid'ian the people of Israel made for themselves the dens which are in the mountains, and the caves and the strongholds.
6:3 以色列人每逢撒種之後，米甸人、亞瑪力人，和東方人都上來攻打他們，
For whenever the Israelites put in seed the Mid'ianites and the Amal'ekites and the people of the East would come up and attack them;
6:4 對著他們安營，毀壞土產，直到迦薩，沒有給以色列人留下食物，牛、羊、驢也沒有留下；
they would encamp against them and destroy the produce of the land, as far as the neighborhood of Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel, and no sheep or ox or ass.
6:5 因為那些人帶著牲畜帳棚來，像蝗蟲那樣多，人和駱駝無數，都進入國內，毀壞全地。
For they would come up with their cattle and their tents, coming like locusts for number; both they and their camels could not be counted; so that they wasted the land as they came in.
6:6 以色列人因米甸人的緣故，極其窮乏，就呼求耶和華。
And Israel was brought very low because of Mid'ian; and the people of Israel cried for help to the LORD.
6:7 以色列人因米甸人的緣故，呼求耶和華，
When the people of Israel cried to the LORD on account of the Mid'ianites,
6:8 耶和華就差遣先知到以色列人那裡，對他們說：「耶和華─以色列的 神如此說：『我曾領你們從埃及上來，出了為奴之家，
the LORD sent a prophet to the people of Israel; and he said to them, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: I led you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of bondage;
6:9 救你們脫離埃及人的手，並脫離一切欺壓你們之人的手，把他們從你們面前趕出，將他們的地賜給你們』；
and I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians, and from the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you, and gave you their land;
6:10 又對你們說：『我是耶和華─你們的 神。你們住在亞摩利人的地，不可敬畏他們的 神。你們竟不聽從我的話。』」
and I said to you, `I am the LORD your God; you shall not pay reverence to the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.' But you have not given heed to my voice."
6:11 耶和華的使者到了俄弗拉，坐在亞比以謝族人約阿施的橡樹下。約阿施的兒子基甸正在酒醡那裡打麥子，為要防備米甸人。
Now the angel of the LORD came and sat under the oak at Ophrah, which belonged to Jo'ash the Abiez'rite, as his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Mid'ianites.
6:12 耶和華的使者向基甸顯現，對他說：「大能的勇士啊，耶和華與你同在！」
And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor."
6:13 基甸說：「主啊，耶和華若與我們同在，我們何至遭遇這一切事呢？我們的列祖不是向我們說『耶和華領我們從埃及上來嗎？』他那樣奇妙的作為在哪裡呢？現在他卻丟棄我們，將我們交在米甸人手裡。」
And Gideon said to him, "Pray, sir, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this befallen us? And where are all his wonderful deeds which our fathers recounted to us, saying, `Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has cast us off, and given us into the hand of Mid'ian."
6:14 耶和華觀看基甸，說：「你靠著你這能力去從米甸人手裡拯救以色列人，不是我差遣你去的嗎？」
And the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours and deliver Israel from the hand of Mid'ian; do not I send you?"
6:15 基甸說：「主啊，我有何能拯救以色列人呢？我家在瑪拿西支派中是至貧窮的。我在我父家是至微小的。」
And he said to him, "Pray, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manas'seh, and I am the least in my family."
6:16 耶和華對他說：「我與你同在，你就必擊打米甸人，如擊打一人一樣。」
And the LORD said to him, "But I will be with you, and you shall smite the Mid'ianites as one man."
6:17 基甸說：「我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你給我一個證據，使我知道與我說話的就是主。
And he said to him, "If now I have found favor with thee, then show me a sign that it is thou who speakest with me.
6:18 求你不要離開這裡，等我歸回將禮物帶來供在你面前。」主說：「我必等你回來。」
Do not depart from here, I pray thee, until I come to thee, and bring out my present, and set it before thee." And he said, "I will stay till you return."
6:19 基甸去預備了一隻山羊羔，用一伊法細麵做了無酵餅，將肉放在筐內，把湯盛在壺中，帶到橡樹下，獻在使者面前。
So Gideon went into his house and prepared a kid, and unleavened cakes from an ephah of flour; the meat he put in a basket, and the broth he put in a pot, and brought them to him under the oak and presented them.
6:20 神的使者吩咐基甸說：「將肉和無酵餅放在這磐石上，把湯倒出來。」他就這樣行了。
And the angel of God said to him, "Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and put them on this rock, and pour the broth over them." And he did so.
6:21 耶和華的使者伸出手內的杖，杖頭挨了肉和無酵餅，就有火從磐石中出來，燒盡了肉和無酵餅。耶和華的使者也就不見了。
Then the angel of the LORD reached out the tip of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and there sprang up fire from the rock and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and the angel of the LORD vanished from his sight.
6:22 基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，我不好了，因為我覿面看見耶和華的使者。」
Then Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the LORD; and Gideon said, "Alas, O Lord GOD! For now I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face."
6:23 耶和華對他說：「你放心，不要懼怕，你必不致死。」
But the LORD said to him, "Peace be to you; do not fear, you shall not die."
6:24 於是基甸在那裡為耶和華築了一座壇，起名叫「耶和華沙龍」（就是耶和華賜平安的意思）。（這壇在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉直到如今。）
Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it, The LORD is peace. To this day it still stands at Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiez'rites.
6:25 當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說：「你取你父親的牛來，就是（或譯：和）那七歲的第二隻牛，並拆毀你父親為巴力所築的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶，
That night the LORD said to him, "Take your father's bull, the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Ba'al which your father has, and cut down the Ashe'rah that is beside it;
6:26 在這磐石（原文是保障）上整整齊齊地為耶和華─你的 神築一座壇，將第二隻牛獻為燔祭，用你所砍下的木偶作柴。」
and build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order; then take the second bull, and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Ashe'rah which you shall cut down."
6:27 基甸就從他僕人中挑了十個人，照著耶和華吩咐他的行了。他因怕父家和本城的人，不敢在白晝行這事，就在夜間行了。
So Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had told him; but because he was too afraid of his family and the men of the town to do it by day, he did it by night.
6:28 城裡的人清早起來，見巴力的壇拆毀，壇旁的木偶砍下，第二隻牛獻在新築的壇上，
When the men of the town rose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Ba'al was broken down, and the Ashe'rah beside it was cut down, and the second bull was offered upon the altar which had been built.
6:29 就彼此說：「這事是誰做的呢？」他們訪查之後，就說：「這是約阿施的兒子基甸做的。」
And they said to one another, "Who has done this thing?" And after they had made search and inquired, they said, "Gideon the son of Jo'ash has done this thing."
6:30 城裡的人對約阿施說：「將你兒子交出來，好治死他；因為他拆毀了巴力的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶。」
Then the men of the town said to Jo'ash, "Bring out your son, that he may die, for he has pulled down the altar of Ba'al and cut down the Ashe'rah beside it."
6:31 約阿施回答站著攻擊他的眾人說：「你們是為巴力爭論嗎？你們要救他嗎？誰為他爭論，趁早將誰治死！巴力若果是神，有人拆毀他的壇，讓他為自己爭論吧！」
But Jo'ash said to all who were arrayed against him, "Will you contend for Ba'al? Or will you defend his cause? Whoever contends for him shall be put to death by morning. If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because his altar has been pulled down."
6:32 所以當日人稱基甸為耶路巴力，意思說：「他拆毀巴力的壇，讓巴力與他爭論。」
Therefore on that day he was called Jerubba'al, that is to say, "Let Ba'al contend against him," because he pulled down his altar.
6:33 那時，米甸人、亞瑪力人，和東方人都聚集過河，在耶斯列平原安營。
Then all the Mid'ianites and the Amal'ekites and the people of the East came together, and crossing the Jordan they encamped in the Valley of Jezreel.
6:34 耶和華的靈降在基甸身上，他就吹角；亞比以謝族都聚集跟隨他。
But the Spirit of the LORD took possession of Gideon; and he sounded the trumpet, and the Abiez'rites were called out to follow him.
6:35 他打發人走遍瑪拿西地，瑪拿西人也聚集跟隨他；又打發人去見亞設人、西布倫人、拿弗他利人，他們也都出來與他們會合。
And he sent messengers throughout all Manas'seh; and they too were called out to follow him. And he sent messengers to Asher, Zeb'ulun, and Naph'tali; and they went up to meet them.
6:36 基甸對 神說：「你若果照著所說的話，藉我手拯救以色列人，
Then Gideon said to God, "If thou wilt deliver Israel by my hand, as thou hast said,
6:37 我就把一團羊毛放在禾場上：若單是羊毛上有露水，別的地方都是乾的，我就知道你必照著所說的話，藉我手拯救以色列人。」
behold, I am laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece alone, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that thou wilt deliver Israel by my hand, as thou hast said."
6:38 次日早晨基甸起來，見果然是這樣；將羊毛擠一擠，從羊毛中擰出滿盆的露水來。
And it was so. When he rose early next morning and squeezed the fleece, he wrung enough dew from the fleece to fill a bowl with water.
6:39 基甸又對 神說：「求你不要向我發怒，我再說這一次：讓我將羊毛再試一次。但願羊毛是乾的，別的地方都有露水。」
Then Gideon said to God, "Let not thy anger burn against me, let me speak but this once; pray, let me make trial only this once with the fleece; pray, let it be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew."
6:40 這夜 神也如此行：獨羊毛上是乾的，別的地方都有露水。
And God did so that night; for it was dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground there was dew.

回覆刪除這段經文，我們看見，基甸起初失去「平安」，沒有上帝的同在，對上帝沒有信心，才會要求上帝給他明確的確據。事後，又為耶和華築了一座壇，起名叫「耶和華沙龍」，耶和華賜平安的意思。顯然他渴望上帝賜給他平安，與他同在。
上帝呼召我們出來進入新的服事工場或離開目前的服事崗位，都有祂的計劃和時間表。為了要了解在這個階段『上帝的旨意』， 通常，經過一段長時間的迫切的禱告、尋求，藉著聖靈的帶領，自己和家人的合一，靈裡的平安，教會裡同心的看見，弟兄姐妹的應證，我們靈裡會很清楚，這些應證：『自己和家人的合一，靈裡的平安，教會裡同心的看見，弟兄姐妹的應證』，有主的同在，就是最好的確據。
