經文: 士師記 5:14-18有根本在亞瑪力人的地，從以法蓮下來的；便雅憫在民中跟隨你。有掌權的從瑪吉下來；有持杖檢點民數的從西布倫下來；以薩迦的首領與底波拉同來；以薩迦怎樣，巴拉也怎樣。眾人都跟隨巴拉衝下平原；在流便的溪水旁有心中定大志的。你為何坐在羊圈內聽群中吹笛的聲音呢？在流便的溪水旁有心中設大謀的。基列人安居在約但河外。但人為何等在船上？亞設人在海口靜坐，在港口安居。西布倫人是拚命敢死的；拿弗他利人在田野的高處也是如此。
默想: 在底波拉與巴拉所帶領的戰役中，並非以色列十二個支派都有參加。在底波拉的戰勝頌讚曲中，把這些參加與缺席的各支派都列了出來。根據本段經文，我們看到參加的是六個支派，以法蓮、便雅憫、以薩迦、西布倫、拿弗他利、瑪吉 (可能是河東瑪拿西半支派，參閱民32:39-40)。流便在溪旁立大志，卻毫無行動。基列人 (河東兩個半支派留在基列地，其中流便與瑪吉已被提及，因此，只剩下迦得這個支派) 選擇安居在約但河東，但人則在船上徘徊，亞設人則在海口靜坐、在港口安居。猶大與西緬兩個支派在偏遠南方，沒有被提及。當約書亞帶領以色列人進入迦南地時，是十二個支派同心投入戰爭。到了第四任士師底波拉的時代，只剩下六個支派還願意投入冒險的戰爭，其他的支派選擇袖手旁觀。求主保守和平教會兄姐，能夠一直都同心一意的，全體投入傳福音的屬靈戰爭之中。
題目: 底波拉和巴拉之歌在舊約的詩歌中，是極為優美的作品之一，，他們把以色列民昔日爭戰勝利所蒙的恩典，寫成一首讚美之歌。試想我們的人生，是否也能成為一首勝利讚美之歌？
5:1 那時，底波拉和亞比挪菴的兒子巴拉作歌，說：
Then sang Deb'orah and Barak the son of Abin'o-am on that day:
5:2 因為以色列中有軍長率領，百姓也甘心犧牲自己，你們應當頌讚耶和華！
"That the leaders took the lead in Israel, that the people offered themselves willingly, bless the LORD!
5:3 君王啊，要聽！王子啊，要側耳而聽！我要向耶和華歌唱；我要歌頌耶和華─以色列的 神。
"Hear, O kings; give ear, O princes; to the LORD I will sing, I will make melody to the LORD, the God of Israel.
5:4 耶和華啊，你從西珥出來，由以東地行走。那時地震天漏，雲也落雨。
"LORD, when thou didst go forth from Se'ir, when thou didst march from the region of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, yea, the clouds dropped water.
5:5 山見耶和華的面就震動，西奈山見耶和華─以色列 神的面也是如此。
The mountains quaked before the LORD, yon Sinai before the LORD, the God of Israel.
5:6 在亞拿之子珊迦的時候，又在雅億的日子，大道無人行走，都是繞道而行。
"In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath, in the days of Ja'el, caravans ceased and travelers kept to the byways.
5:7 以色列中的官長停職，直到我底波拉興起，等我興起作以色列的母。
The peasantry ceased in Israel, they ceased until you arose, Deb'orah, arose as a mother in Israel.
5:8 以色列人選擇新 神，爭戰的事就臨到城門。那時，以色列四萬人中豈能見盾牌槍矛呢？
When new gods were chosen, then war was in the gates. Was shield or spear to be seen among forty thousand in Israel?
5:9 我心傾向以色列的首領，他們在民中甘心犧牲自己。你們應當頌讚耶和華！
My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless the LORD.
5:10 騎白驢的、坐繡花毯子的、行路的，你們都當傳揚！
"Tell of it, you who ride on tawny asses, you who sit on rich carpets and you who walk by the way.
5:11 在遠離弓箭響聲打水之處，人必述說耶和華公義的作為，就是他治理以色列公義的作為。那時耶和華的民下到城門。
To the sound of musicians at the watering places, there they repeat the triumphs of the LORD, the triumphs of his peasantry in Israel. "Then down to the gates marched the people of the LORD.
5:12 底波拉啊，興起！興起！你當興起，興起，唱歌。亞比挪菴的兒子巴拉啊，你當奮興，擄掠你的敵人。
"Awake, awake, Deb'orah! Awake, awake, utter a song! Arise, Barak, lead away your captives, O son of Abin'o-am.
5:13 那時有餘剩的貴冑和百姓一同下來；耶和華降臨，為我攻擊勇士。
Then down marched the remnant of the noble; the people of the LORD marched down for him against the mighty.

From E'phraim they set out thither into the valley, following you, Benjamin, with your kinsmen; from Machir marched down the commanders, and from Zeb'ulun those who bear the marshal's staff;

the princes of Is'sachar came with Deb'orah, and Is'sachar faithful to Barak; into the valley they rushed forth at his heels. Among the clans of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
5:16 你為何坐在羊圈內聽群中吹笛的聲音呢？在流便的溪水旁有心中設大謀的。
Why did you tarry among the sheepfolds, to hear the piping for the flocks? Among the clans of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
5:17 基列人安居在約旦河外。但人為何等在船上？亞設人在海口靜坐，在港口安居。
Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan; and Dan, why did he abide with the ships? Asher sat still at the coast of the sea, settling down by his landings.
5:18 西布倫人是拚命敢死的；拿弗他利人在田野的高處也是如此。
Zeb'ulun is a people that jeoparded their lives to the death; Naph'tali too, on the heights of the field.
5:19 君王都來爭戰。那時迦南諸王在米吉多水旁的他納爭戰，卻未得擄掠銀錢。
"The kings came, they fought; then fought the kings of Canaan, at Ta'anach, by the waters of Megid'do; they got no spoils of silver.
5:20 星宿從天上爭戰，從其軌道攻擊西西拉。
From heaven fought the stars, from their courses they fought against Sis'era.
5:21 基順古河把敵人沖沒；我的靈啊，應當努力前行。
The torrent Kishon swept them away, the onrushing torrent, the torrent Kishon. March on, my soul, with might!
5:22 那時壯馬馳驅，踢跳，奔騰。
"Then loud beat the horses' hoofs with the galloping, galloping of his steeds.
5:23 耶和華的使者說：應當咒詛米羅斯，大大咒詛其中的居民；因為他們不來幫助耶和華，不來幫助耶和華攻擊勇士。
"Curse Meroz, says the angel of the LORD, curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
5:24 願基尼人希百的妻雅億比眾婦人多得福氣，比住帳棚的婦人更蒙福祉。
"Most blessed of women be Ja'el, the wife of Heber the Ken'ite, of tent-dwelling women most blessed.
5:25 西西拉求水，雅億給他奶子，用寶貴的盤子給他奶油。
He asked water and she gave him milk, she brought him curds in a lordly bowl.
5:26 雅億左手拿著帳棚的橛子，右手拿著匠人的錘子，擊打西西拉，打傷他的頭，把他的鬢角打破穿通。
She put her hand to the tent peg and her right hand to the workmen's mallet; she struck Sis'era a blow, she crushed his head, she shattered and pierced his temple.
5:27 西西拉在她腳前曲身仆倒，在她腳前曲身倒臥；在那裡曲身，就在那裡死亡。
He sank, he fell, he lay still at her feet; at her feet he sank, he fell; where he sank, there he fell dead.
5:28 西西拉的母親從窗戶裡往外觀看，從窗櫺中呼叫說：他的戰車為何耽延不來呢？他的車輪為何行得慢呢？
"Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sis'era gazed through the lattice: `Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?'
5:29 聰明的宮女安慰她（原文是回答她），她也自言自語地說：
Her wisest ladies make answer, nay, she gives answer to herself,
5:30 他們莫非得財而分？每人得了一兩個女子？西西拉得了彩衣為擄物，得繡花的彩衣為掠物。這彩衣兩面繡花，乃是披在被擄之人頸項上的。
`Are they not finding and dividing the spoil? -- A maiden or two for every man; spoil of dyed stuffs for Sis'era, spoil of dyed stuffs embroidered, two pieces of dyed work embroidered for my neck as spoil?'
5:31 耶和華啊，願你的仇敵都這樣滅亡！願愛你的人如日頭出現，光輝烈烈！這樣，國中太平四十年。
"So perish all thine enemies, O LORD! But thy friends be like the sun as he rises in his might." And the land had rest for forty years.
Then sang Deb'orah and Barak the son of Abin'o-am on that day:
5:2 因為以色列中有軍長率領，百姓也甘心犧牲自己，你們應當頌讚耶和華！

5:7 以色列中的官長停職，直到我底波拉興起，等我興起作以色列的母。
The peasantry ceased in Israel, they ceased until you arose, Deb'orah, arose as a mother in Israel.
5:8 以色列人選擇新 神，爭戰的事就臨到城門。那時，以色列四萬人中豈能見盾牌槍矛呢？
When new gods were chosen, then war was in the gates. Was shield or spear to be seen among forty thousand in Israel?
5:9 我心傾向以色列的首領，他們在民中甘心犧牲自己。你們應當頌讚耶和華！
My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless the LORD.
5:10 騎白驢的、坐繡花毯子的、行路的，你們都當傳揚！
"Tell of it, you who ride on tawny asses, you who sit on rich carpets and you who walk by the way.
5:11 在遠離弓箭響聲打水之處，人必述說耶和華公義的作為，就是他治理以色列公義的作為。那時耶和華的民下到城門。
To the sound of musicians at the watering places, there they repeat the triumphs of the LORD, the triumphs of his peasantry in Israel. "Then down to the gates marched the people of the LORD.
5:12 底波拉啊，興起！興起！你當興起，興起，唱歌。亞比挪菴的兒子巴拉啊，你當奮興，擄掠你的敵人。
"Awake, awake, Deb'orah! Awake, awake, utter a song! Arise, Barak, lead away your captives, O son of Abin'o-am.
5:13 那時有餘剩的貴冑和百姓一同下來；耶和華降臨，為我攻擊勇士。
Then down marched the remnant of the noble; the people of the LORD marched down for him against the mighty.
5:14 有根本在亞瑪力人的地，從以法蓮下來的；便雅憫在民中跟隨你。有掌權的從瑪吉下來；有持杖檢點民數的從西布倫下來；
From E'phraim they set out thither into the valley, following you, Benjamin, with your kinsmen; from Machir marched down the commanders, and from Zeb'ulun those who bear the marshal's staff;
5:15 以薩迦的首領與底波拉同來；以薩迦怎樣，巴拉也怎樣。眾人都跟隨巴拉衝下平原；在流便的溪水旁有心中定大志的。
the princes of Is'sachar came with Deb'orah, and Is'sachar faithful to Barak; into the valley they rushed forth at his heels. Among the clans of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
5:16 你為何坐在羊圈內聽群中吹笛的聲音呢？在流便的溪水旁有心中設大謀的。
Why did you tarry among the sheepfolds, to hear the piping for the flocks? Among the clans of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
5:17 基列人安居在約旦河外。但人為何等在船上？亞設人在海口靜坐，在港口安居。
Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan; and Dan, why did he abide with the ships? Asher sat still at the coast of the sea, settling down by his landings.
5:18 西布倫人是拚命敢死的；拿弗他利人在田野的高處也是如此。
Zeb'ulun is a people that jeoparded their lives to the death; Naph'tali too, on the heights of the field.
5:19 君王都來爭戰。那時迦南諸王在米吉多水旁的他納爭戰，卻未得擄掠銀錢。
"The kings came, they fought; then fought the kings of Canaan, at Ta'anach, by the waters of Megid'do; they got no spoils of silver.
5:20 星宿從天上爭戰，從其軌道攻擊西西拉。
From heaven fought the stars, from their courses they fought against Sis'era.
5:21 基順古河把敵人沖沒；我的靈啊，應當努力前行。
The torrent Kishon swept them away, the onrushing torrent, the torrent Kishon. March on, my soul, with might!
5:22 那時壯馬馳驅，踢跳，奔騰。
"Then loud beat the horses' hoofs with the galloping, galloping of his steeds.
5:23 耶和華的使者說：應當咒詛米羅斯，大大咒詛其中的居民；因為他們不來幫助耶和華，不來幫助耶和華攻擊勇士。
"Curse Meroz, says the angel of the LORD, curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
5:24 願基尼人希百的妻雅億比眾婦人多得福氣，比住帳棚的婦人更蒙福祉。
"Most blessed of women be Ja'el, the wife of Heber the Ken'ite, of tent-dwelling women most blessed.
5:25 西西拉求水，雅億給他奶子，用寶貴的盤子給他奶油。
He asked water and she gave him milk, she brought him curds in a lordly bowl.
5:26 雅億左手拿著帳棚的橛子，右手拿著匠人的錘子，擊打西西拉，打傷他的頭，把他的鬢角打破穿通。
She put her hand to the tent peg and her right hand to the workmen's mallet; she struck Sis'era a blow, she crushed his head, she shattered and pierced his temple.
5:27 西西拉在她腳前曲身仆倒，在她腳前曲身倒臥；在那裡曲身，就在那裡死亡。
He sank, he fell, he lay still at her feet; at her feet he sank, he fell; where he sank, there he fell dead.
5:28 西西拉的母親從窗戶裡往外觀看，從窗櫺中呼叫說：他的戰車為何耽延不來呢？他的車輪為何行得慢呢？
"Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sis'era gazed through the lattice: `Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?'
5:29 聰明的宮女安慰她（原文是回答她），她也自言自語地說：
Her wisest ladies make answer, nay, she gives answer to herself,
5:30 他們莫非得財而分？每人得了一兩個女子？西西拉得了彩衣為擄物，得繡花的彩衣為掠物。這彩衣兩面繡花，乃是披在被擄之人頸項上的。
`Are they not finding and dividing the spoil? -- A maiden or two for every man; spoil of dyed stuffs for Sis'era, spoil of dyed stuffs embroidered, two pieces of dyed work embroidered for my neck as spoil?'
5:31 耶和華啊，願你的仇敵都這樣滅亡！願愛你的人如日頭出現，光輝烈烈！這樣，國中太平四十年。
"So perish all thine enemies, O LORD! But thy friends be like the sun as he rises in his might." And the land had rest for forty years.

在士師時代的社會習俗下，底波拉和雅億是兩個在不同地點、不同身份的婦人，但她們都被上帝所使用。底波拉被上帝興起，作以色列的女士師，女先知，她能上前線，為上帝爭戰；雅億是家庭主婦，也有用武之地，能用智慧殺死敵人。底波拉不是一個好大喜功的領導者，基順河之役的得勝，她沒有歸功自己、榮耀自己，她謙卑地將功績歸眾人，感恩地將榮耀歸給上帝。底波拉作這首讚美上帝的「底波拉之歌」（士五章）說：「因為以色列中有軍長率領，百姓也甘心犧牲自己，你們應當頌讚耶和華！」（士5:2、9）。她深知爭戰的得勝是上帝的應許及人的配合（士4:7、14-15），她的計劃與領導沒什麼好誇口的，只是作個默默無聲，上帝的僕人，所做的本是盡職責所應分做的（路17:9-10）。
